I am not the person making reviews, but this is horrible for service perspective. Beer as not fresh, security is rude.

Good local bar in chatswood area, private function can rent upstairs. Cold beer .good win as im lucky in pokie here . I recommended:)

I came here to get away from the bad weather and to share a bottle of white with a friend. Service was kind but not quick nor necessarily efficient. It was very quiet and with the (5) guests they had she still forgot to put the food order through to the kitchen. After 35min we asked about when we could expect the food and the manager came out and apologised for the situation. Food came out promptly after that. It's a cheap venue with an outdated look. If you just want a 'cheap' drink, with okay service, this might be the pub for you.

An interesting, intimate little bar tucked away behind a carpark. If you are a local you know it. Open till late. Generous cocktails and cold beer. A great place to meet and catch up for a quiet drink, without the obligatory louts falling all over you.

If you want to Gamble, this is the place. Pokies, TAB, Keno. If you are after a quiet beer overlook this place

Not even joking was walking past on the way home with 6 mates. Non of us had been drinking and just wanted to to catch up. Got interrogated by security. Even though he let us in, we left because of his attitude.

We went there for pool game, the table was squeezed into the corner with no space to play properly. Would be good to have the table placed in an open or bigger space. A bit disappointing 😞

I used to go to the monkey bar as much as possible, but more recently I have been denied entry without valid explanation as to why. This was once an amazing place to meet new people and have a beer with your mates, but I no longer recognise the monkey bar. It has changed for the worse and I wish it would come back so that I can go monkey and watch the races

It was once a pretty good place. But now it's just a sad VIP pokie den.

Once you get inside the Monkey Bar it's basically a pokie gambling den with a bar. Unfortunately the last couple of times I've been there the security has told me the bar (somewhat rudely) is at capacity, so I'll never return. It used to have really nice beer glasses which made an ordinary beer taste like gold, but the last time I went there they seemed to revert back to normal schooners. Better options in the area. After a renovation they had really nice toilets (at least in the men's), but they didn't seem to upkeep and it's about as clean as the public toilets at the train station.

Love it. Cheap cocktails and great service.

Please do not go to this place gaming area is rubbish Staffs are unprofessional and rude ESPECIALLY THE ASIAN MANAGER I was playing at one of the slot machines and lost my money and took a break and smoking, the manager come to me and kicked me out because I was taking a break from playing sitting on chair on my machine. they just want you to play and loss money otherwise they kick you out. Machines do not pay too Lost $1560

Average. Small interior, smoking space smell comes into main seating area, so not much point to the constantly opening and closing doors. The drinks are what you'd get at any bar. Probably wouldn't go here again, as it was small, loud, crowded and there isn't any food.

Would give it 0 stars if possible. Most of the staff (including the licensee) Have little interest in or knowledge of anything other than the abundance of pokie machines. And the regular crowd that patronize this dive, just add to the tragedy that I have watched this place become. (Try Chelsea bar, just 200m away)

Try it if you're in Chatswood, start of drinks with a few Soju Jugs for the ripe price of $16 ea not to mention ample gaming and tab facilities with a balcony to enjoy a drink or you can head upstairs occasionally to watch the live footy

Not bad, considering the fact that we are still in a pandamic. 2nd floor was pretty much empty when our group of 8 was there on a Wednesday night. Had fun with no interruption at all.

Descent bar.I am non smoker and it would be nice something is done to ensure smoke from smoking zone doesn't come into the bar.

The monkey bar is one of my favourite places to go in Chatswood.

Standard fare pub, probably a bit more aligned for the pokie gambling pub than an entertainment venue.
