We found this place through Google with decent rating and decided to pay a visit. We ordered a carbonara pasta, garlic prawns and olives. First of all, all the food was veryyyy salty. I wouldn’t want to taste the sauce at all because of how salty it was and the most disappointing dish was the garlic prawns. For 6 pieces of prawns they charged $27 and worst of all, the garlic sauce was sooo salty that without water, we wouldn’t be able to finish the dishes. The olives were $12 and decent portion but the olives itself were very salty and tasted cheap. I would not recommend this place and for its price, you can go to other decent Italian restaurant that would taste much better and cheaper.

I come to Pellegrini’s with friends often and we always have great food. Domenico (the pizza chef) does authentic Neapolitan’s pizza and use the best ingredients. During St Valentine’s week he had a meatballs special which he recommended and it was delicious. Thank you so much Domenico, see you soon

Sparse (hardly any) toppings on the pizza. Spaghetti Bolognese is just tomato sauce with rather stiff spaghetti, no meat at all. Spaghetti Carbonara is a bit salty, small serve with hardly any meat. Not value for money.

Okay tell me WHY the pizza ( it tasted real good) was literally paper thin?? Like I am not paying 30 dollars to eat seasonings baked on tissue paper, plus the toppings kept sliding off so I literally had a plate of toppings. okay that was my bad, but i still think the price was unjustified

We booked at 7:30. It is currently 8:05 and we are waiting outside to be seated as i write this review. the lack of communication and decorum regarding our seating time from the staff has been appalling! this restaurant believes they can exploit their young customers and not have any repercussions just because of our age. please fix this in the future, this is utterly outrageous!

Food was good and reasonably priced, very good service even though they were quite busy. There is indoor seating and outdoor under cover seating in a courtyard setting. The area it is located in is quite vibrant as there are other restaurants nearby.

I went to Pellegrini's 2 years ago and absolutely loved the food and the restaurant. I decided to come back and was left in shock. The portions are now a lot smaller and the menu has shrunken. I ordered a lasagna and it was extremely disappointing. There was barely any meat (mainly dry pasta sheets) and it tasted frozen. I asked the waitress about it and she responded there was a new chef. Also, the atmosphere was very loud thanks to the annoying speakers they positioned right next to the tables which made it impossible to make discussion. In the end, I would not recommend this restaurant and I am not coming back.

The pizza base was like Lebanese bread Prices were way to expensive Bottle of sparkling water and can of chinotto cost $20 . If you charge these prices you need to be a whole lot better go to a top notch Italian restaurant and learn how to make top notch food

Food was average at best but that isn’t the worst of it; first time i have encountered an Italian Restaurant charging customers $3 for a bit of cheese. No thank you!

ordered marinara, carbonara and calamari with long island (costed $124). For calamari, some parts were really salty and was soggy from oil. For marinara and carbonara, even considering al dante, they smelled too floury. Sauce was really basic and blend. shrimp and bacon seemed over cooked little bit. Maybe i would be able to have a better experience if i order other menu in the future but i would never try basic menu again. Staffs in the kitchen and hall seemed too busy and can’t manage all the customers. Serving time was too long. It has a good vibe though. If you don’t mind prices and taste, but are looking for a not too noisy distracted restaurant, this would be okay.

Excellent food and very lovely staff, we got very good service with lovely manners and serving skills. Busy but a nice atmosphere with good lighting and music.

The food was good but staff was not so friendly looking, no aircon on a 28 deg day, we were sweating as we were eating and drinking cold beer. Was in a hurry to leave as the heat was uncomfortable.

I had dinner at Pellegrini’s Chatswood 2 years ago. That time the experience was ok. This time in Nov-24, my two friends and I went there on a Thursday night. The food, staff and services exceeded my expectations compared to the last time I was there. It was close to Xmas so they had live accordionists played Xmas songs the entire time which elevated the atmosphere of our dinner experience. We ordered Burrata, Spaghetti Marinara, pizza, and baked veggies. They were scrumptious. The portions were perfect for the three of us. We finished everything. The drinks we ordered were good and went well with the meal. We were really happy to choose Pellegrini’s for our dinner. I will have dinner there again.

the food here were incredibly great ! we r given the booth seat which was quite nice and cozy spot the lady who took our order was very nice and helpful 🫶🏼 the restaurant was busy that night but we were very nicely taken care of. we ordered few dishes but lasagna and gamberi pizza were the standout ! will come back to try other different menus

Have given this place more than one go. It's always bad. Over time, different staff have been abrasive which is probably what sticks with me the most. We've been served food that was clearly made badly, burnt or missing key ingredients. One night I ordered a Fettuccini Boscaiola and got a Prawn pasta dish - I asked about it and was told that it was a Boscaiola. I sent it back waited another 30 minutes for what I actually ordered. And on more than one occasion I've quoted the manager saying to a table of Italians, 'This is how they make it in italy'. In response to the owner asking me when I last went because they don't serve Boscaiola for at least a year. We've dined with you regularly, being the only Italian in Chatswood, Since Terrazza II closed down, and right up until your seeking to understand response here on Google. Grazie. We've had take aways, dined in, had Christmas get togethers, had work functions and every time over several years, as mentioned in the original unedited review above, a similar result.

My mum was craving for seafood pasta so we ordered the spaghetti marinara. The flavour was great but the pasta was harder than al dente - it was a bit disappointing. The chicken supreme was great - flavourful and filling. The bruschetta was good but I felt we could've gotten more for $17.

first off, the outdoor heaters did not work and we were offered BLANKETS like what? and then the pasta comes out; flavour was good noodles were so hard they may as well have not bothered cooking the small portion for 25 minutes, the gnocchi is soggy and pizzas were covered in oil and dough ratio was mediocre. All the tastes of the dishes were good but all other aspects were not . This was not at all worth the $218 that didn’t even feed the whole table.

My partner and I have eaten here 3 separate times, the quality of food has varied each time. On two separate occasions I've ordered different pastas and they were bland and disappointing. My partners meals however were delicious. It's a bit hit or miss for me

Was offered water and a seat while I waited a very short period for my takeaway order from very kind and attentive staff. The pizza was the best I've ever eaten. It was light, fresh, tasty and so delicious. It cooked in two minutes right before my eyes!!!!! The perfect capriciosa pizza. Shame we live out of town as this would be our regular Fo' Sho' Gracie Gracie.

Had a fantastic experience at Pellegrini! Their pizzas were absolutely delicious, with a perfect balance of flavors and a crispy crust. The service was top-notch, and the waitress was incredibly friendly and helpful. I was pleasantly surprised when they only charged me for the smaller beer I ordered, even though they brought out a larger one by mistake. It's a small gesture that shows they genuinely care about customer satisfaction. Highly recommend!

Got take away here Sunday night. Ordered Bruschetta, Casserecce Norma and Spag Carbonara and Diavola pizza. Bruschetta was small, over priced but tasty. Absolutely no parmesan as on menu. Pastas were pathetic. Norma had maybe 10 pieces of Eggplant 5 cent piece style. Dry. No flavour, under seasoned. Spaghetti carbonara. Exactly the same. Skint pieces of bacon and no flavour. Diavola pizza- outstanding. Would eat again. But only pizza.

Great atmosphere, excellent service, friendly staff and most importantly good food.

We ordered takeout pizzas, and they were awesome! We even met the chef, who showed us how to make them.

Hit up happy hour, the cocktail was amazing and the food was even better!

Experience was amazing. We dined here before when it first open and the improvement is great! Food wise nothing to make a fault of. It was delicious and would definitely recommend the pelligrini's focaccia. House white was i think pinot grigio which is not my cup of tea. Wish there would be more selection of white wines and bubbles. Atmosphere was very busy and the staff were great even if it was a Saturday night rush. I appreciate the guy who seated us and our server. We made a boo boo by paying too early and gave them confusions. I commend on how they handled it very well. We work in a restaurant so it was not a big of a deal for us. Support every boh and foh workers in hospitality. Over all definitely will come back! Thanks so much

We held my husband’s surprise birthday party at this venue. Group of less than 25 people on a Sunday night. Booked months in advance. I am deducting one star because I had uploaded my husband’s photo and he was not recognised when he entered the restaurant. Which meant my cover almost got blown, and I repetitively got asked if I made a reservation. We were seated inside as requested, it was too chilly to sit outside in the middle of winter. Food was served promptly and plates were cleared in a timely manner during the 90 mins that we were seated. We had the set menu, as it was our first time dining in, we didn’t know what to expect. I took previous reviews on here with a grain of salt. The waitresses were lovely and attentive. Well staffed as the restaurant was about 75-80% full of patrons. The dishes were fresh and piping hot. Pizza was amazing, more so than the pasta. Generous servings as we had plenty of leftovers to bring home. Everyone enjoyed the meal. We would return again for future dining.

We dined here for the first time. The garlic focaccia was so delicious. The main pasta dishes are quite big serves so be ready. Great pasta we had Ragu and marinara. Our waitress Natalia was outstanding. Very professional and friendly manner. Always checking to see if we needed more drinks etc. There were a few draw backs we found 1. the entrance was a bottleneck of people leaving and entering. 2. Very noisy. 3. You pay at the counter which is where the bottleneck is (entrance/exit).

At 55 years of age, this is my first ever review. My experience was so so bad that I am leaving this as a warning to other potential diners STAY AWAY This was a birthday dinner for my mother and family and everything was downhill from the start. Terrible service, soft drink order for kids wrong, wine order for adults wrong. 15min wait to return with correct drinks. 20min wait to even place our orders Food was underwhelming to say the least and the final straw was my brothers main dish not arriving until all other diners were finished, then being sent back due to being so bad If I could give -5 stars I would Terrible service Terrible food Note to chef, please please google what a “medium rare “ steak looks like because what you served me was a joke Myles

Never written a review before but feel compelled as our experience was so underwhelming. As soon as we sat down the service was appalling. Got our simple drinks order wrong. Waited 20 minutes for soft drinks and wine with many smaller tables around us ordering and being served meals. Food came out sporadically and the last dish was served as the rest of our group had finished. Most meals tasteless to say the least. Such a shame as there are no good Italian restaurants in Chatswood. Sorry but will not be returning and will suggest others to look elsewhere.

Can’t believe this is happening. DON’T come to Peligrinis is charging for their food!! Their service isn’t that good either!! I guess their excuse is they’re in Chatswood not Leichhardt!! It's Chinese all the way here. The most miserable Seafood Linguini ever. What are they thinking?? While in Chatswood go Chinese!! Forget this place with the unforgettable experience.
