Homely vibe, friendly staff and great food

Food is very ordinary No presentation & very stock standard. Needs a massive overhaul Very plain & dull

The food in the hotel was extremely nice, especially the rump steak for only 17 dollars. The fries were crispy, the salad was fresh, and the workers were extremely kind. The only thing that was a bit off was the tenderness of the meat, but overall was a great experience. There is also free pool on Tuesdays, so we had some fun there too. :)

The manager here was an abrasive woman with no time for a little culture or history that would have made our day if she would take 2 minutes out of her day to listen to our story.

I called to ask if they were open as they were closed when they had some scaffolding out the front and Jesse answered the phone was very short, rushed and rudely told me he had to go then hung up on me. I have had very friendly and inviting service there before but this was not one of them.

Love going to this place but at times I hate it especially like today when I have been charged a price for the same drinks and then the next is a over charged and I told the par tender that it is the wrong price. The manager/licensee named Farra approached me and said to stop telling her staff how to pour the drinks, I replied with the overcharging and not telling them how to pour the drinks as this was not the case. Its good to see that the manager backs the staff with the BS.

I like the place but the food tonight was horrid I couldn’t eat it I was worried I would end up sick. Meat was wet and odd coloured. Veggies were ok but clearly frozen.

What a disappointment the food was terrible I ordered the steak and my husband ordered the parmigiana. My steak was full of fat and tasteless. The parmigiana had way too much sauce. Salad was tasteless and no dressing. We were a table of 14 that ordered separately most of the meals were not to standard. Will not return to this venue. I use to come here a lot it’s turned into a dive very disappointing. I will say staff were very friendly and accommodating.

The food is amazing. Bar staff is amazing. Drinks taste great. But the crowd that goes there can be rough..brought my family + kids tonight for dinner a fight broke out at 7pm . Not a good look. Sadly won't be back for a while

I didn't use the accom ..just visited the pub downstairs ... It was ok ..food looked good

Food is cheap and OK for the price but the kitchen staff need more help at the counter during rush hour. Also they are very skimpy with the sauce so you need to get up and ask for more which is annoying.

Went there for dinner yesterday, tried different items from the menu between the 6 of us. The food was absolutely amazing. And the chef accommodated us with our requests as well with a smile. The steak, garlic prawn and sauces were to die for. I would highly recommend this place.

Terrible food , IGH group are you proud of the bistro ? Otherwise great staff in a great old-school hotel but food wise it’s on par price wise with other pubs in area but food is not cooked by proficient staff ( sorry guys ) who perhaps have ever tried their own food. Lacklustre presentation , warm oysters , ok steak but served with frozen and boiled to death veges with a sauce from a can. Really IGH group you can do better.

Everyone else's meals were fine but my vegetarian elderley Mother had to have the prawn pasta without the prawns but they still charged as if she had prawns in it....it tasted like tomato soup so she sent it back anyway with no refund offered Deffs need better vegetarian options other than burgers or wedges

It's an old establishment but I like going there because the food is good and its spacious enough to not be noisy. I like the atmosphere 👌

Played the pokies and had no luck. Still the place has a laid back and friendly kind of vibe so I wasn't too stressed out after losing. I stayed back for a decent feed and the service was nice. I'll probably come back again

Very stingy on the portions. Give me more chips. Also the salad dressing looks like spunk.

Best local feed, you gotta try the surf'n'turn I have been hooked ever since my friend told me about it 2 years ago. Now I'm there for a feed at least once a fortnight

Hi guys I came in today for lunch to the Pagewood Hotel pub I had the 250g Sirloin Steak with Chips and Salad The food deserves 1 Star and a 1/10 The Steak was overcooked, dry and Chewy the Chips were under seasoned and Chewy as well the Salad was wilted and the staff were very rude to me as well My last Complaint is that the bathrooms were slippery and dirty.

It is ok in afternoon nice and quiet, no problems with staff.

Good selection of beers at reasonable prices,the hotel good do with a good clean as the ceiling is absolutely filthy.

Great old fashioned pub from the late 70's and early 80's. It may be dated but the ambience is relaxing and conducive to a really nice family outing. Food was great for the price. Staff were very friendly, helpful and took pride. We are going to make this a regular.

Went here for dinner. I had veal schnitzel with mash and vegetables it was cooked to perfection mash was probably the best mash I've had in a while. I recommend you try this bistro out.

I don't generally stay at the hotel over night. I only know what others have said about the rooms. But, I regularly visit the restaurant. The food there is superb. From cheap, wonderfully made, steaks, to deliciously made Italian food or burgers. Those two guys are brilliant at their work, and they have been since my first date here with my now wife over ten years ago. I am not a big drinker. Maybe one or two pints a year. But I had a Toohey's there recently, and it went down a fine treat. I highly recommend this place.

Staff are awesome,up for a yarn and heaps friendly . Food is averaged, decent enough but a bit overpriced, what you would expect from pub meals I know its been hard because of covid though so I understand why they have to be priced a bit higher. The atmosphere is lacking alot though and the furniture and furnishings are really outdated. Would be nice when they open up the outdoor area.again I know this is because of all the problems covid has caused for them.

Great place to hang out, especially the pool table area

This place doesn't look like much from the outside, but the food is very good value and surprisingly high quality for a pub. The rump steak special was tasty and so was the Chicken Parmigiana.

I have noticed a massive deterioration in the Bistro food quality, extremely disappointed.

Can’t fault this place when it comes to the bistro!! You want a good meal ! Lunch or dinner they’ve got you sorted!! My personal favourite surf & turf!! Is next to none!! Good service friendly staff!!!
