Boire en verre entre amis sur le roof top

Crown Towers has a nice atmosphere however the room wasn’t ready on arrival and had to wait 2hrs prior to getting the key. Cleaning staff David and partner were fantastic and so very kind. The front desk staff had a bit of an attitude that could be improved. Otherwise great stay.

Love The Crown Towers 👑 ❤️

This is where drake lives

Crown Towers exceeded all expectations - The most spacious and luxury rooms with views right across the harbour. The restaurants around the towers are next level, a huge fan of Nobu. Highly recommend to all, we will be back soon for sure

Stunning views from the 26th floor bar. The whole Crown tower experience was memorable

Valet parking services rude. Did not assist take luggages for check in.

Really disappointing. Staffing issues. Check-in chaos. Dirty rooms. Furniture had bodily fluid stains on them (see pics). Towels with holes in them. So not a five star experience. Response from hotel - we'll let housekeeping know". Not even remotely good enough."

Walked in with a stunning view. Spacious with a great size bathroom. Beautiful decor with a comfortable and fresh bedsheets. Will definitely come back again. Highly recommend 👌🏽

Wish I could give less than 1 star. I sent an email upon checking regarding our room at the hotel. I had no reply and we stayed there for 4 days. We had been so excited for this trip, celebrating my new single release. Check in was a joke. Over charged money and the girl on check in completely oblivious and uninterested in us. We then get to our ‘harbour bridge view room’ and basically are looking at a swamp. Mentioned it to check in staff. Got told it’s on the terms and conditions that it might have construction in the way… this isn’t construction. It’s a swamp. Photo attached. They offered us free alcohol. Not interested.. just want what I paid for. Next morning, house keeping leave wine cooler that had ice in full of water leaking everywhere, don’t replace our towel that was dirty and didn’t remove dirty glasses. The burger that we got from room service was $40 (and we ordered 1 each) was so dry. Chips were inedible. We didn’t touch them. To top it off, went to the casino tonight and my partner who has a sunburnt forehead wasn’t let in because he was ‘too red’. Hilarious since we came straight from dinner at woodcut (which was excellent) and had drank 2 glasses of wine each. Worst stay ever. Never coming back. Absolutely ruined our weekend away. Perth towers is an absolute mile above this place but doubt we will even go back there after this. Honestly can’t believe we have wasted 2.5k on this place. Would maybe have been able to recommend if our complaint had been taken seriously but apparently they don’t care about their members. As someone who has been coming to crown for the last 10 years, I will never return.

We recently stayed at the crown over the Australia Day long weekend, it was one of the worst hotel experiences we have ever had. All started at check in, we waited 3hrs in the lobby to check in to our room, on one of the nights we came home to no bath towels or robes, we advised the guest services team who took over an hour to deliver towels although one short, we let the staff know who said they would deliver another towel to the room, however they never came so we had to share towels. The phone in the room wasn’t working as well as the Toto toilet again nothing was done about it. There were no towels at the pool and we had to wait an hour for one, not nowhere near worth the price tag for the service and quality provided. Don’t waste your time or money, the staff and managment don’t seem to care so can’t see it improving anytime soon.

The parking problem is serious~~ I hope it will be easier to park even if the price of food is raised.

I recently stayed at what was supposed to be a 5-star hotel, but my experience was far from what I expected. While the property itself was impressive, everything else fell short of the standard you'd expect at this level. From the moment I arrived, the staff's cold attitude was immediately apparent. Instead of the warm, welcoming service you'd anticipate at a luxury hotel, I was met with a detached demeanor that bordered on indifference. The check-in process was painfully slow, with a long queue that seemed to drag on forever. When I finally reached the desk, the staff appeared nervous and unsure of how to handle the situation. Their behavior was a strange mix of arrogance and insecurity, which made the whole experience feel uncomfortable. It was as though they were either unconfident or trying too hard to appear authoritative, neither of which created a welcoming atmosphere. As for the cleanliness, while the hotel looked polished on the surface, the room wasn’t cleaned thoroughly, especially when you stay there longer with the daily clean. POOR.

The room was good besides the lack of towels and bedside tables, the bedside tables have a draw the pulls out in a weird way. So I put my Bluetooth headphones in the drawer then closed it my headphones then went into the drawer and had to call maintenance to get it out. Service was good by lack of towels as I said earlier. There was a note saying “hang your towels to be replaced” so we hung them up and left for a walk, when we came back we had no towels except for a couple hand towels. But overall great staff and great room. I recommend trying crown towers Sydney and while your at it try Melbourne crown towers. 8.5/10

Not quite the luxury experience. Check-in is feral, people everywhere, with nowhere to go, very long queues - we waited over 40 minutes in line, only to be told at 5:45pm that our room wasn't ready, check in was from 3:00pm. It seems over 20 people had the same experience, floating around the lobby with young kids, we felt sorry for them. We finally got into our room after 6.30pm, but had to visit the counter again via a queue, vs being told a room was ready. One guest checking in at the same time had blood on the sofa in their room when they finally got in their room, another walked into a used room - food tray on the bed and not made up - at 6:30pm. The rooms are nice, but mine wasn't clean. Dirty mirrors, hair from someone shaving still on the window cil, etc. By a note we were told that no linen changes were allowed as they didn't have any, an odd experience for a 5 or 6 star hotel. They have a sauna, that is $150 an hour to use. Ordered a coffee at breakfast, never arrived. It misses some of the basics. Try somewhere else...

This hotel has no towels, day 1, we got 4, day 2 we got 1, day 3 we didn’t get any. We called room Service, they said they don’t have any towels. I can’t imagine this kind of expensive hotel is unable to give A towel, they are not able to give ONE towel.

It was Movi'n bed!!! Next to te building...

restaurant downstairs is very expensive .

We got a large two bedroom unit on the 21st floor and it was absolutely incredible. The finishes, views, beds, all perfect. The reason I wrote a review though was for the service. When we had to check out a day early for an emergency, I was expecting a hassle, no refund, etc. but instead we received a refund and everything was taken care of for us. It was everything I hoped for from a hotel stay.

Dinner was 👍 great.

3pm check in. Hot tip, arrive at 2pm… you’ll be queuing for at least a hour whilst the overworked and stressed staff take phone calls and run out to the back office. The stress induced apathy written over the staffs faces and showing in their actions and body language is palpable. I’m not sure what conditions they are working under, but I’m gonna guess they are not good. Little to no eye contact, monotone responses and I get the feeling there is double the work for half the staff available. Room was amazing until I had a shower and saw a clump of long black hair scrunched into a ball and stuck on the side of the shower. Positives …. Breakfast was amazing. Although bizarrely the wait staff cram and shove everyone together onto tables next to the windows instead of spacing everyone out. We arrived for breakfast at 8am and it was dead…. But the staff insisted on seating every single person at the same 4 tables….. so close we were literally bumping elbows. What’s bizarre is that the space is enormous with seating for literally hundreds. It really was a “WTF!?!?” Moment. This could have to do with my comment earlier about not enough staff… they may use this cramming and shoving technique to save time. Food was great though.

Stunning Location, Disappointing Experience From my initial interaction with the staff, I knew it was the beginning of an unpleasant stay. Upon arriving at the valet, I asked where to drop off my luggage and was met with a brusque response: “I have 900 people checking out right now—go ask the guy at the counter.” So not a great start. After parking the car myself, I entered the lobby, only to be greeted by chaos: a long line of guests waiting to check in or out and a crowded space that felt more like a shopping mall than a luxury hotel. To cut a long story short, here are my main concerns: 1. Check-In and Check-Out Process The process is painfully slow and disorganized. We waited along time in line. The lobby was overcrowded with guests waiting for their rooms, creating an atmosphere far removed from the elegance one would expect from a property of this caliber. 2. Uninformed and Unhelpful Staff The staff seemed poorly trained and uninformed. Basic hospitality elements like a greeting, eye contact, or instructions on using the lifts were missing. For example, if you don’t have your reading glasses or aren’t told to place your room key under the screen, you’ll struggle to figure out how to use the lifts. • I was told parking was included in my room rate, only to later discover it wasn’t. This caused unnecessary confusion and back-and-forth. • When I asked about the concierge, the staff member said, “I don’t know what time they start”—and this was midday! To get simple information, I had to wait in the same never-ending queue at reception. 3. Facilities and Amenities • Adding a coffee and dessert counter in the lobby could make the space feel more inviting and more like a lobby area. • I was shocked when I ordered water to my room and was informed of a 7% surcharge—for water. At a hotel of this standard, basic amenities like water should not come with hidden charges. 4. Room and Overall Quality The hotel is in a prime location with stunning water views, but don’t bother paying extra for the harbour view—it’s obstructed by construction. The studio room itself was lovely, though not flawless. A burnt hole in the duvet and a missing piece of the blinds were noticeable but not deal-breakers, as the room’s overall design and comfort compensated. 5. Breakfast and Pool Breakfast was underwhelming and far from inviting. The pool, while a nice feature, felt overcrowded, more like sardines packed into a can than a relaxing experience. Final Thoughts This hotel has immense potential—it’s in a fantastic location and boasts beautiful rooms. However, the lack of organization, poor staff training, and subpar service fail to deliver the level of excellence expected from a property of this stature in a world-class city like Sydney. My advice: Change management, train your staff, and raise the bar. Right now, this is far from the signature property it claims to be.

Not a Five-Star Experience at All This hotel claims to be five-star, but it’s far from it. The staff were rude, and the lobby was literally leaking—completely unacceptable for a hotel of this supposed caliber. The casino feels like a scam, with $10 minimum tables where dealers suddenly demand $30 bets. On top of that, I paid for breakfast, but it wasn’t included—false advertising at its finest. The pool? Cold and poorly positioned, completely out of the sun. For the exorbitant prices they charge, the experience is severely lacking. Whoever is running what used to be the Crown Casino experience needs to step up their game—this is nowhere near the standard it once was. Definitely not worth the money.

Not a 5* experience at all! Do not come here for a luxury stay. It is overcrowded, dirty, understaffed and overpriced. Here is proof. I stayed at this hotel five times over the past two years. The first few stays were amazing and luxurious. After that, it became consistently worse. It is too busy. The crowd in the lobby immediately sets the tone. Noisy bustle, kids on scooters, long check in/out lines and a smelly restaurant grill. The rooms are dusty, dirty and worn out. “Opera House View” means you may catch a glimpse of its roof only if you’re put on one of the lower floors. This time, our premium suite was dirty, dusty and run down. For one and half days during our last stay there were no bath towels available for the guests. Without explanation or apology we were reduced to drying off on hand towels and robes. For $1400 per night. The pool is overcrowded and messy. It is lined with many noisy guests with poorly supervised kids running around and doing bombers. No pool supervision to be seen. Many seats were “reserved” with sunnies and newspapers by guests planning to return to the pool area sometime later. Staff don’t seem to care. There were no free seats for the two of us that afternoon. The state of affairs was so noisy, splashy and untidy that we decided to return to our towel-less room and dry off on robes and bed linen once more. When two towels did arrive, they were threadbare and ripped. Just like they were during our last stay a few months ago. A trip to the local K-mart would have done the staff good in restocking towels of far better quality. Breakfast is a free for all run around for young families. It’s great to have a family friendly restaurant, but it comes with a loss of exclusivity or luxury. There is no longer an evening turn down service. So no more slippers, chocolates or closed curtains waiting for you after your return from dinner. Daily room service gets done about 5 pm and involves a straightening of the bedsheets (not a replacement with fresh ones). Many times we left the room at 9am with the “service room” light on to return at 5pm to find the room unattended or currently in service. Back downstairs to sit in the crowded and smelly lobby for another hour to go back to a minimally serviced room. A request to have the room serviced the next day between 9am and noon was met with inactivity. For $1000-2000/night Crown is seriously missing the mark. We kept coming back hoping the worsening experience would improve, but sadly it only got worse. No more stays for us here. I heard the W, Langham or Sofitel may offer something more in line with an actual 5-star experience in Sydney.

The front desk staff Mr Safal and Mr Rhodes are very professional, very meticulous, patient, both of them have friendly smile, which makes customer feel genuine and warm. The hotel swimming pool has an unbeatable view of the bay. The buffet is particularly worth mentioning. The food provided is very diverse and the ingredients are fresh. The waiters’s service in the hotel lobby bar is also very patient and professional. I like this hotel very much!

設施不錯,但服務一般

Had a pleasant stay loved it they gave me higher level. Nice hotel and great friendly staff This is the best hotel in Sydney! I love location, rooms there is nothing to hate about if our stay was very plesent and unforgettable. My family and kids enjoyed

DO NOT STAY HERE. Great views of Sydney Harbor Bridge and the Opera House, but it is very chaotic. The driveway, and small lobby/check-in area is crowded. It is bedecked with wall to wall black and white marble and mirrors- 70s Vegas glitzy excess. There is a casino, so maybe that is the look they were going for, but unfortunately the service throughout was inattentive and careless. It took 2 hours to get towels (which were inexplicably not replaced, though the bed was made). It took an hour to get lunch at the pool. The burger was burnt and the chicken fingers were tasteless. The pool design is stunning, but too small for the number of guests. The breakfast buffet was large but only okay. Even dinner at Nobu was not that special. The hotel seems very short staffed. It seems to be a quantity over quality situation. This gigantic, new skyscraper, very impersonal and zero Australian charm. Owned by the Blackstone Group of NY. So disappointing!

The hotel staff is completely incompetent. They clearly saw a do not disturb sign on a room and still entered twice. They admitted to their fault but simply said “sorry” when spending $600 a night on a hotel room I have a bit higher standards. Being told by a manager they would follow up and let it go on deaf ears shows they are in serious trouble. If you dare to spend a dime at this place do not expect to enjoy the restaurants beyond 9pm, as they are closed. A complete waste and tragic disaster. You would enjoy the W or Intercontinental for real service and privacy.

Stayed this hotel previously in Jan 24 and many times prior. Always 5 star. Not so this time. A complete turnaround and unprecedented in my 56 years of staying 4/5 star hotels. Unloaded transport in the street on arrival. Forecourt not so busy, but only one person engaged in that. Only a few ahead at check in. After waiting 45 min for bags, started my own search. Finally got them after an hour. Embarrassingly advised bfast not included at restaurant. Always included prior! Nothing on res. Docs about bfast not included..Duty Mngr put it right. Room 2312 Opera Hse view and 70sq mtrs of expense: stains on lounge, carpet and drape. Damaged bed surround..Underside of both chairs hanging down ( I have images ). Rooms now serviced every 3 days(?) No way. Two out of three ‘services’ were incomplete. No coffee left, pile of sheets left, no rubbish removal. Checkout 15/11 Geo advised no additional charges ( we stayed using gift cards ). Emailed invoice next day showed $163.86 add for ‘mini bar food’. Not so! Emails from me on the 16/11 and 20/11 as well as two phone calls have all been ignored. Disputed with Amex, that took two attempts with Amex to rectify, ( they get 2 stars only ).. Still nothing from Crown. New management obviously have no idea how to run a hotel and have crucified this one!!

Not very accessible from public commute. The housekeepers are super duper nice!!! The penthouse is amazing!

Behind the “luxurious facade” that the Crown Towers attempts to portray, is an establishment that is lacking tremendously in basic hospitality and care for its patrons. Not to mention the valet service was a nightmare and not what you’d expect from a 5 star hotel. We waited for 1 hour to collect our car only to find the front bumper scraped up by the valet driver, who didn’t even try to take accountability or try to apologise. Management said they’d get back to us by the end of the day to check camera footage, but we have still yet to hear from them which is not surprising to say the least.

Having stayed at Crown before I booked a stay for my birthday. At 3pm check in I was told my room wasn’t ready. At $940 a night, check in on time is the bare minimum. I informed them I had pre-booked a 4pm massage at Crown Spa and was told the room would “hopefully” be ready by then. At 3.50pm my room was ready and I just made it to the Crown Spa in time. Not a great start to a relaxing birthday experience. Then when I was in the bath I discovered the bathroom TV remote didn’t work and I couldn’t turn off the Crown promo on a loop and at high volume. Staff tried using another two remotes but none worked. Volume was turned off remotely by maintenance. Noisy neighbours playing dance music at 2am at least had some charges removed from my bill. But no offer to change rooms due to the broken bathroom TV. The following day the bathroom TV came on again and maintenance had to visit twice to turn the TV off through the ceiling. Having maintenance visit my room three times in a 24 hour period when I’d spent $1600 is outrageous for a luxury hotel. No offer to change my room. No offer of an upgrade for the inconvenience. You’d think staff would check that room electronics work before the room is given to a guest.

Lifeless, lacks any sense of warmth and the staff reflect this with their service which was in the main terrible at best and downright rude at the other end of the spectrum. Too many rules and restrictions: The pool is closed to Children from 6pm - this is ridiculous. Restaurants and bars close too early. The one hour time limit for breakfast is the most ridiculous rule and one that was pointed out to us and other guests each morning as we arrived for what we would have liked to be a relaxing start to the day, but that just left us with a bad taste in our mouths. The pool itself was beautifully designed and well located, however there was no vibe or life to it - there was some kind of music playing, but it was muffled and did not add anything to the ambience- would suggest the hotelinvests in a better sound system and plays music befitting it’s surroundings. Service by the pool was shocking with items forgotten and took far to long to arrive and when they did were poorly presented in take away containers- chips cold and as lifeless as the environment. Checkout took too long and was frustrating , 45 minutes in a line, and there was no express option. Unlike other 5 star hotels we left feeling empty from both the experience and the cost for what promised to be so much more. We would not recommend the Crown Towers to anyone and that’s a real shame!

5 star hotel, but not a 5 star experience. Have stayed at many 5 star hotels, and have never had to wait 3 hours past the check-in time for our room key! Not sure who manages the hotel, but check-in was an absolute shamble and a horrible experience to start our stay. So slow, so busy and every guest looked incredibly frustrated! So many other 5 star Sydney hotels have much better service and are also cheaper!

Awesome hotel!!! Staff is very friendly, breakfast buffet is awesome, the room was clean and huge, pool rocks, and perfect location. This is worth the money. Amazing stay here!

Save your money, worst hotel stay! Terrible experience for many reasons. Poor service which I assume is due to lack of staff, wet used bathrobe from previous guest in room, requested a new one. I had to call again as nobody arrived with a new one. Ordered food in the pool area, which they forgot about. It was average at best. Long check in - check out times. Incorrectly overcharged and two weeks later still trying to get our money back. Requested call backs from switch who claim front of house are always too busy and left an email which was ignored. Absolutely shockingly bad service. Have told friends and family not to waste money going.

We’ve stayed in lots of 5 star hotels around the world and probably at Crown Melbourne 30 times but this would be the worst by far|I’d planed a couple of nights in a suite at Barangaroo for our 40th wedding anniversary |I organised a chauffeur transfer to the hotel which was very good|It all went downhill from there|We arrived early (midday) so didn’t expect to check in, we had to head into town to pick up|An anniversary gift so needed to kill some time anyway |I was told on check in we would have priority check in and would be sent a message also told the champagne would be delivered to our room later that evening ( why not when the room is ready as is normal)|I asked could it be delivered which the room|That apparently was too hard!|So we arrived back at the hotel at 3.30 and went to the bar and had a couple of drinks|I thought I’d find someone to ask how the room was going as I hadn’t received a message|I found a young lass who investigated and told me it had just been done and she gave me the keycard|Great, so we got to the room. |Bags weren’t there|There was a bottle of champers sitting in a bucket of warm water|Needless to say we weren’t impressed |We called the concierge who sorted it but we’d already been badly let down|That’s our last visit to Crown|4 star hotel at best

Impressive rooms. Great service in Icebergs bar and Woodcut restaurant, can’t fault that area along with amazing staff at the Spa especially Grace. Unfortunately housekeeping is a major issue, rooms not cleaned properly. No surfaces wiped down or dirty glasses removed or hoovered, needs to be drastically improved. Reception with all its staff needs to be more effective it’s far to slow on arrival and checkout and concierge is only temporary. Potential to be better than it is.

Amazing location and views. Surprisingly not such a touristy area. Loved the food at noodle88.

Stay was OK. But the building reminds me of some towers in Asia. Nothing original or specific to Australia. Could be anywhere. Mostly attracts nouveaux rich.

Hotel is nicely built but not very practical inside the rooms. Our family stayed at a two bedroom suite with Darling Harbour View. The suite is very spacious but the sofa is with stain and you could t find any sockets nearby the tv or beside the bed. It’s very inconvenient for travellers as we need to charge multiple devices and the USB/Type C outlet beside the bed is definitely not enough. We also had to ask for extension power bar to connect our TV box. More importantly, we didn’t really feel welcomed during our stay. We couldn’t see any hotel staff wearing a smile. The casino is the worst part as two of their Cantonese speaking staff are so rude. We had an argument when we were told my mom couldn’t enter the casino as an existing member with mo reason provided. They said my mom had to fill out a form to provide information of her source of income. We didn’t know why we had to provide such info and by whose authority. We were willing to cooperate as the main purpose of our trip is to bring our mom to Crown casino to play. However, one of the Cantonese speaking staff was kind of discouraging us to fill out the form as he said the approval couldn’t be ready within a day. We then expressed it was ok as we were staying at Crown for the next few days. The staff then said the approval might take months and asked if we would still want to proceed. We started to argue with their staff and two Cantonese speaking staff call for security and tried to kick us out from the casino. It was so irony that Crown casino’s security staff are a lot more understanding and polite than their customer service staff. We ended up moving to W Sydney after spending 2 nights at Crown as we couldn’t find available seats for the flights back to Hong Kong in the next few days. For this, we had to thank Crown Hotel staff’s understanding by refunding the unconsumed room nights we paid in advance. We wrote a complaint letter to the casino on Dec 11 and just got their reply an hour ago (today is Dec 24). It took them more than a week to reply and the reply didn’t address to any of the issues we raised. They even said their staff acted appropriately. Anyway, it was lucky that we had such terrible experience at Crown. Otherwise we would t have the chance to stay at W Sydney where we felt so welcomed and my mom also had lots of fun at The Star Casino.

I took my family there I was very disappointed checked in at 3pm and then had to wait over an hour for my bags to get to the room after calling twice for them. When we got back from the pool and the kids got out of the shower there were no towels in our room. On our final night stay we arrived at the pool at around 5pm we ordered some drinks around 6:30pm just before they arrived we were told the kids were supposed to be out of the pool by 6pm we need hurry and finish our drinks with no warning. Very poor experience from a hotel of this calibre and price point.

We booked total of 4 rooms. This is probably one of the most expensive hotels in Sydney and we thought it would be a great experience. Upon check in only one person on duty and soon there is a line to check in. Throughout the stay we notice there is always long line at check in. Found out I have an overbooked room under one name and one room not paid only overbooked. Instead of transferring the booked room to the paid reservation, I had to pay the room on hold in full and settle the refund with trip.com myself. Which in the end I had to settle it between trip and the hotel by calling the hotel manager myself to ask for refund because according to trip they called many times to hotel and no one ever picked up. Upon entering the room, you see stains all over the floor, I got the big studio room, towels had stain, bathrobes had stains (forgotten to take more photos afterwards), floor carpet has yellow dirt, water in the sink was slow so everytime you turn on water to wash hands very quickly the sink will be filled up with water. The toilet room has a smell. We did feedback to the house keeping and they did try to come and clean and fix it but the whole issue is that you pay so much you would at least expect a clean towel and bathrobe when you entered the room and not having to ask a few times for clean items. Water in the bathtub was yellow. We also did laundry and was told it would be ready by 6.30pm evening, but that never showed up and had to call to remind them to look for it and send up. When asked for towels, other items showed up instead towels. The phone to call service desk is very tricky🙄 it’s just so many little mishaps. If it’s a few hundred dollar rooms I guess I can’t expect much but when paying thousands and they promise “impeccable” stay, it was far from it The view was breathtaking but I wouldn’t recommend this hotel for families with kids. I forgot to mention trash was left in the room for a day and not cleaned.

This was our second stay and it was chosen for our first wedding anniversary because we knew what to expect. The whole team exceeded those expectations however and made it a very special stay. Thank you all for a painless check in, delicious meals at Woodcut and Epicurean and the best night’s sleep in a while.

Nice view and location, that’s about it

Not worth the price

Disappointed

First time needing to line up to check in a 5 star hotel selling at this price. The valet at the door didn’t even want to help us with our luggage

Beautiful rooms, $1080 + $100 for parking for 1 night is OUTRAGEOUS to me 3pm checkin with an 11am checkout that’s not even 24hours this is my 2nd visit, rooms are alright 2 stars for ripping people off, good for a 1 off treat but that’s it Dined at the Epicurean and wood fire Epicurean is good if your a seafood lover who loves cold seafood apart from that it’s ok Woodfire seemed like their aircon was broken and it was piping hot ruined a good dining experience For this cost, you can book a 5day round trip to Bali for an even better room, personal chef and private villa with your own pool

The rooms are amazing and the location perfect BUT the check-in and check-out was poor. I arrived 1.5h before check-in and was told that the room will be marked as a priority to be cleaned. I returned at 3 with not being able to complete my check-in, only at 3:30pm and after hounding the guy at the front desk I got my key. Then, the bags weren't there in the room (that took 20 minutes to arrive after 2 phone calls from the room handset). Then, we had no towels in the room (so another phone call needed to be made to correct). Check-out was painful too.. They were looking for our bags for about 10 minutes. Something needs to be done with the process here.

Great place to stay.

Pros: New facilities, new lobby and nicely designed rooms. Close to many fine restaurants. Excellent breakfast and epicurean. Excellent room layout, large with very nice bathroom. Offered a free upgrade my reception at check in. Receptionist was also pleasant on check in ( the Korean girl) Cons: Arriving on Saturday 8th Dec at 1:00pm, the line to check in was long. Around 10 parties waiting with 2 receptionist at the desk, a couple more returned 15 mins later, likely from lunch break. Waited 25 mins to check in, holding onto all our suitcase and handheld luggage. Offered a bottle of water at one point which was a nice gesture but perhaps for a 5 star hotel, would be better to have more staff at the desk at peak hour and offer to take our handheld luggage to put into concierge while waiting in line. No one helped with grabbing suitcases from taxi on arrival either. Unfortunately also cannot say the opera and harbour bridge view was that amazing due to an unsightly large empty lot of land down below. Stayed last year facing the pool and perhaps that might be nicer in fact. talking to the receptionist at the spa was not so pleasant, she could have been more cheerful and welcoming. Her unwelcoming attitude put my wife off having a treatment. The floor lamp on the room also had a blown lamp which was promptly fixed when requested. $7 charge to have some plates, utensils delivered to the room to split a birthday cake... A bit excessive given the cost of the hotel stay already...

The outdoor swimming pool is stunning. Breakfast buffet also offered a wide variety of selections. However, the service of pool is a bit behind, like some employees skived by hiding behind the bar table or lying down.

Not worth the time or the money. We stayed for two nights. Could not get into any of the restaurants even though we were staying there. Check in was good and room was good. In saying that we had our room serviced the first morning. They took our coffee cups and milk away so we did not discover this until the next morning. They took our room ipad away. Don’t know why. They work our towels that were hanging over the bath and again only left us with one towel to dry ourselves. The bed was remade but not with clean sheets. I’m ok with this as we only slept in the bed for one night but at the price you are paying for the room you kind of expect this would be done. ||To top things off I was refused entry into the casino. For some reason, which they could not tell me, I was red flagged and it could not be sorted until the next day, which is when we were leaving. I didn’t even want to gamble, as there are no poker machines at this casino, I just wanted to see what it was like. My husband was granted entry however. ||The pool area was lovely and everyone was polite but no one addressed any of my issues when asked. Won’t be back.

I can't believe how poor this hotel was and, as someone born and raised in Sydney, I was embarrassed to think that my overseas business associates would consider this to be the six-star standard. Lengthy check-in times, rooms not made up (despite the fact that someone had clearly been there ... the water bottles were replaced, but not the coffee, and the bed was not made ...) My bed didn't even have a proper quilt cover - just a quilt insert (complete with stain) topped by a sheet. If someone else had made my bed, I may never have discovered this, but in having to make my own bed every day, it didn't take me long to find out. What is the point of strange toilet lids that rise of their own accord, and strangely robotic elevators, if you can't sleep in a well made bed and wake up to a restocked box of coffee? And I am all for the idea of not washing and replacing towels very day - I was happy to stay with my towels for my 4-night stay - but PLEASE, honestly, don't say you limit your approach to cleaning because of environmental concerns and then bring me PLASTIC water bottles every day. |As for the service - appalling, glazed, slow, dismissive, unconcerned, switched off, oblivious. These are just some of the adjectives. Other than Callum, by the pool - a ray of bright light in an otherwise over-priced hotel that favours style (if you can call it that) over substance and, critically, customer service.

Staff were lovely, I got to check in at around noon and room was ready, so big plus. Room was stunning, great view of the bay, comfy couch and a lovely soft bed. I enjoyed using the iPad to control the lights and blinds, order room service etc. Technology indicative of a modern hotel. Definitely had the best room service steak ever. The buffet breakfast had variety as well as quality, a brilliant mix of cuisines and flavours.||The only downsides to this hotel is the pricing and location. Although the facilities and room were stunning. $600+ per night for the cheapest rooms is a complete joke. In addition to the breakfast, maybe a free room service coupon or champagne or anything should be included. There are many brilliant hotels in Sydney and this price just is not competitive! The location also is not the greatest, it's too far away from the biggest attractions in Sydney. ||The downsides in this review are factors that will make or break my decision to rebook this hotel in the future. Sadly, I think I will be looking to other options on my next visit.

I generally don’t like to leave bad reviews as I simple stop visiting the establishment. But from the check In process to check out it has been below average at best. Staff seem to be in bad mood all the time, I had a credit of $100 per night which front reception had no idea how it works and told me they will call me back (I waited in my room for 30 mins) never did. After confirming the credit it was still charged to my credit card and now after 4 days zero reply, plus no one picks up the land line given. Now I finally understand why there are so many disappointing review all over.

My favourite hotel. This is nice and very comfortable. Thanks a lot.

Great experience

Yummy buffet. Highly recommended. 😊

You decide what you think of my experience at a 5 start hotel:|1. The bed is not made every day - but they change the towels|2. They don't remove your room service trays - they took away the cups and left everything else one day and left everything the next day|3. No turn down service|4. Could not get a simple pot of tea at the hotel (not with tea bags). This is a 5 star and very expensive hotel. Duty manager called and basically said we don't serve that offering is there anything else I can help with - a very curt and dismissive response"|5. Room service food is expensive and not great - the New York Cheesecake base was not mixed properly and the sugar was still crunchy in the base as had not dissolved - again - this is a 5 star hotel .|6. the TV didn't work and needed to be attended to - at which point the person sent to the room advised how badly the hotel was managed and that a lot for services were now outsourced and that they had had 2 CEO's in a short time.|7. Food in the hotel is very expensive and not as good as the price infers. |||This should be a 5 star property but clearly has customer service issues - Not a patch on Crown in Melbourne."

Always average dining areas. Service standard is pretty low

This place was a disaster from start to finish. For a hotel of this caliber, they failed to meet even the most basic expectations. Starting with the check-in process, they had a long line with only two staff members manning the kiosks, despite it being a busy Saturday. Numerous kiosks were just left idle while we waited. It’s beyond unprofessional and shows a complete disregard for guests’ time. Upon entering my room, it was clear it hadn't been properly cleaned, which is completely unacceptable. Even worse, my friend's room had a glass shard on the floor – she actually stepped on it and got injured. They called and requested immediate assistance to clean the room but no one even bothered to show up. It's appalling and negligent to leave a guest injured and unattended. The in-room facilities were just as disappointing. Only one USB-C port worked, on one side of the bed. The other USB ports didn’t work at all, leaving limited options for charging devices – a basic amenity any decent hotel should have covered by now. In-room dining was another frustrating experience. I specifically requested extra plates and cutlery with our fruit platter order. The server showed up with only the food and then tried to leave as if my requests didn’t matter. When I reminded her, she returned with only the plates, completely ignoring the cutlery I had also asked for. The lack of attention to detail and willingness to help was astonishing. If that wasn’t enough, the issues extended beyond the room. The pool was an absolute letdown. The WiFi doesn’t even work, and their ordering system was apparently broken. To top it all off, the pool staff took towels and slippers from sunbeds without even asking – including mine, which they just tossed aside like trash. We were still using them! I’ve never experienced anything like this in any hotel. Taking towels from an unoccupied chair might make sense, but taking personal items without permission is beyond disrespectful. In all my years of travel, this was by far one of the worst hotel experiences I've ever had. I would strongly advise anyone considering a stay here to think twice.
