Great local pub in a top location, could do with a refurbishment and new furniture in the near future

Nice atmosphere, overpriced drinks and food

More people showed up than we expected for our booking, but the staff were so accomodating and flexible with us. Thank you so much for a lovely night!

Enjoyed lunch on the outside terrace. Staff friendly, food great - the eye fillet skewers were 💯.

I was quite disappointed/disgusted that the only outdoor seating was a smoking area. The pub is ok otherwise, nothing special but if you're in the area and need a play to meet before dinner it's fine.

Nice atmosphere with live music on a Saturday night. Food is quite good too. I had the chef special prawn pasta dish, and it was tasty and a good size. My friends got the lamb special and the fettuccini and both were satisfied. For pub food, it is a very high standard. I would come back and recommend!

try elsewhere

Family reunion... excellent 👌

Lovely afternoon watching the cricket yesterday. Nice staff, beautiful temperature, good company. Let down by the food though: lukewarm chips, overcooked burgers that were missing something, and a lamb salad where the near seemed to have been billed a few times - dry, tough and tasteless. We were offered a beer as recompense. Normally our experience with their food is great, but not yesterday.

Excellent location

I did like this place but it is expensive with no happy hour.

Absolutely love this place...have been there 3 days in a row!

We had wedding lunch for 5 people. Food was great and what made it extraordinary was the the special attention and the extra mile Sebastian went with the arrangements and making us very comfortable and special. Would definately recommend the Bistro. Sebastian, you are a GEM and so is your sister.🌺🌺🌺

11 friends for pre Xmas lunch. Staff were pleasant and food good - portions quite generous.

Great food and service for a group of 12.

Busy Friday evening, good friendly service.

Great neighborhood bar to meet up with a friend.

Usually come here with my parents as a once every 2-3 week catch up. Last visit wasn’t the greatest, good service and drinks but the food has dropped in quality. Spent 38 for a strip loin for a tiny piece of steak, with gravy that had no taste (previously the gravy was delicious) and chips that were cooked for way too long. The salad was also just packed with cabbage and bitter tasting leaves. If you guys have a new chef please let them know it does not taste great or if you’re trying to cut costs this is making me think maybe elsewhere would be better to get food.

Great venue, food is good. If you hate seeing politicians watching you eat - sit outside 🤣

A local institution. Great food, beer and atmosphere for locals and visitors alike. Live music and dancing on Friday and Saturday nights to let your hair down to. Pop in for a friendly welcome.

The pub is awesome. The ambience was great and live music was awesome. We had nice dinner and service was very nice. The staff was very courteous and helping. I would definitely recommend this place.

Good place to create a better world

Great pub in an excellent location, straight across the road from Milsons Point. The lobster dishes are excellent

Great food venue, especially now that the terrace has opened up without smoking. Perfect in the summer. I'll definitely be bringing visitors here.

Disgusting experience with a female manager (Jan) My steak took an hour with no apology. When the food did arrive it was slammed down on the table. Won’t come here again

I’m not a local, but I met my GF here for a bite to eat & a few drinks over lunch… and what a GREAT Local Pub!!! As soon as I walked in I could tell by the old charm of this hotel it had something to offer. Then only to find the beautiful terrace at the back. The staff were really helpful & attentive. I was greeted by Gemma (Licensee) who was extremely knowledgeable & professional. Love the food, Rose, Cocktails & Staff. May have to move to Kirribilli to make this my new local - haha! Family Friendly too. Thanks a Billion!

I love this place!!!!...yummy food, Great Service :)

I recently visited the Kirribilli Hotel and had a mixed experience. The atmosphere was definitely a highlight – the venue has a relaxed and welcoming vibe, and the live music was a nice touch, adding to the overall ambiance. However, when it comes to the food, it was a bit of a letdown. The offerings were average at best – nothing stood out in terms of flavor or quality. The biggest disappointment, though, was the service. It felt like the staff lacked assertiveness and focus. I noticed several staff members washing glasses instead of attending to the bar or interacting with patrons. Resulting in prolonged waits for drinks that easily could of be avoided. All in all, the Kirribilli Hotel has potential, but the service needs improvement, and the food could definitely be elevated. If you're after a chill spot with good live music, it could be worth a visit, but don’t expect anything extraordinary when it comes to the food or service.

I am sick and tired of pubs charging restaurant prices for a steak and then cooking them like absolute crap. I paid $59 for a steak (rare) and half a lobster and it arrived so well done. In looking around all the meals were massively overdone including fish and chips and schnitzel. How hard is it. Do yourselves a favour and go anywhere else 😩

Club favourites done well! A few favourites include: - Open steak sandwich - Fish & chips - Chicken schnitty Plus... you can also try their french onion soup!

3 of us went here to eat dinner. Food took 20 minutes to come out and the drink we ordered for it didn't come. I went up to the bar and stood there for 10 minutes as they continued to serve other people. By the time I got served it had been 42 minutes since we ordered the soft drinks - in seperate orders so they couldn't have just forgotten or missed us all. I've come here a couple of times and just moved to the area and was hoping to make this our local for us roommates but not after this.

Considering the price, ($27) this has to be one the worst schnitzels I’ve had. Small serving size and chewy in parts. Chips and salad felt like they came directly from a frozen packet and dumped on the plate.

Great meeting place

Had a very pleasant lunch of fish, chips, and salad, the fish was perfectly cooked and the batter was light and crispy. The staff were polite and efficient. We had been down to nearby Mcdougal Street to see the Jacaranda trees covered in beautiful late October blossom. Great trip out.

Very disappointing. Couldn't deliver on a on line booking! No table available when we got there.

Food is really good for a pub but every time I am going there I can not to enjoy it, the air conditioning is super frezeen ., . You can't even enjoy drinking. ( because the cold) .

Very nice pub. The boys behind the bar were very lovely and friendly. Food is good. But the eastern European blonde woman in charge is a nightmare

I was served by Jess and Seb this evening, and they always greet everyone with a welcoming smile! Thank you Jess, and Seb too, for making the Kirribilli Hotel so much more enjoyable! Rell 🙏🏻

Not a great experience. Straight away when trying to order a few drinks at the bar the woman serving us was unnecessarily rude and careless. The cups were also very dirty, with bits of stuff floating in the drink from them. To top it off the same server spilt a drink all over my phone and someones bag on the table and didn't even acknowledge it. Would not return, espcially after viewing the price of meals

Popped in for a quick drink with friends before dinner. We ordered on the QR codes on the tables but I recommend ordering at the bar to make it easier on the staff. We had to leave quicker than anticipated and the staff were very accommodating to get us our drinks quickly. Sarah working behind the bar was under the pump but was still positive and helpful, we will be coming back because of her.

Enjoyed the food and service was pretty good too . Thanks

Great little pub to the east of Milsons point train station. Not the biggest place but we didn't have a problem finding a seat at 3pm on a Sunday. Good selection of beers on tap. Got a couple of burgers that were quite tasty with a double patty and relatively quick in service although there were a bunch of people here. I would come back for a drink or food again.

Place was dead at 8pm on a Sunday night, still took nearly half hour for 2 cheesburgers and a Scallop Entree to come out. Cheeseburgers were o.k but nothing special for $23, the Scallops tasted o.k but were stone cold. Next time I'll trek across to the Blues Point hotel for a feed if I'm staying in the area and wanting a pub meal

This place used to be a great venue for mma fanatics now after being a good 2 years regular costumer I’ve been told that there’s no more UFC on display in the establishment. Sadly also the food was never a good attraction either just average.

Not a good spot to watch sport. Despite advertising on their website that AFL is live and loud" the staff refused to turn any volume on for the swans final."

This hotel has a great atmosphere , the food is very good .

Quite place to talk. I liked thus place.

Well .. what can I say .. the Pub with NO Beer.. no tap beer on A Sunny Sunday! . management as ice cold as the beer should be not trying in any way to promote anything else .. or even have a heart beat! . Filthy ashtrays.. disgruntled staff and air-conditioning as cold as Antarctica. Very unfriendly.. unprofessional... a local pub run wrong .. don't bother ! The beer garden for a local pub should be family and let friendly instead .. one smoker has the whole garden .. I bet the gm is a smoker ! So the rules are .. smoke til 12 .. then 12 til 3 no smoking .. but no eating after 3pm .. so uninviting and tbh .. disgusting... it should be food and family focused this day and age. Being the only pub it could be so so much better! But ... hey .. as long as they get paid right .. customers mean nothing! Also the manager Sunday 25.08.24 needs a career change !

Who is running this place now? This pub used to have a vibe about it. We walked in at midday on a Sunday and the first thing we notice is the temperature - it's FREEZING - the air-conditioning is cranked right up and there is a weird smell of air freshner. We make our way to the courtyard with our kids to be met with the stench of cigarettes. We were informed that you can smoke there until midday. Hubby goes to order a couple of beers and we can only get bottled beers as the taps aren't working. There's certainly no service with a smile - none of the staff are friendly or smiley but then I'd be pretty cranky too working in sub zero temperatures. We watched several groups of people walk in and say it was too cold and leave again. Cant comment on the food - we intended to have lunch there however it's just not a welcoming environment.

Manager Sara made the most unforgatable frothy tasty cappuccino I ever had in my life.

First time out for our friend George from his nursing home.. surf and turf.. great outing.

Pros: - good atmosphere - venue itself is lovely, prime ministers portraits are great - food is decent, if a bit pricey, but that’s more cost of living than anything Cons: - the older staff are good (and more thoughtful) and many of the younger staff are great too even if a little inexperienced, but there’s a handful who have really rude and off putting attitudes, it feels like what you expect from a government employee who thinks you are there to suit them, had an interaction that wasn’t positive and felt it was the staff member being way too abrasive, clearly a more sensible way to handle. I feel for the employer, it’s hard to find good folks who understand customer service. But then again, management may be why there every time I go, which is every 6 weeks or so, the staff have changed, so who knows - I think they don’t try on customer service because there are no other pubs nearby, it’s disappointing. I only go because my family chooses it, I’m disappointed each time Btw, used to be a bartender myself, so I know it’s not too hard to just be friendly and welcoming. Overall: if you must, it’s fine, but don’t expect them to value your business or care if you don’t come back. And if you get bad vibes, just try and find a different server.

Solid location for after work drinks / feed in millsons point. Large selection of cocktails and drinks along side a delicious menu of food. Highly recommended.

Sat out the back in rear courtyard and all I can hear is a loud barking dog from the property next door. Sorry I won’t be back.

Worst manager ever

Food was ok and service was quick. But is this Kirribilli or Bankstown? Too many bogans cussing... and this was lunchtime too.

Beer… want more?

Didn’t expect much from a $12 bowl of truffle fries but they were absolutely delicious! The cheese on top was a great addition and the sauce was couldn’t have been better. The only thing would be that I wish they were a bit hotter - may have been sitting aside for a few mins as there was about 15 or so minute wait on them.

Must be the BEST pub steak in town, seriously delicious! Nice try with the homemade fries but I'd prefer casual crispy golden brown ones, as that is straightforwardly rare to find anywhere. Pub is quite diverse in terms of setting: typical sports pub on one side, a little quieter on the other side and a relatively spacious and cozy outdoor sitting area. Too bad it's a smoking area! I smoked most of my life, but still I don't see the logic in practically not being able to eat outside as a non smoker. There's literally nothing to do for the kids. I'd go back there particularly for the steak.

One of the best chicken schnitzel I have ever eaten. A lot of history in this hotel.

Had the beef bourguignon for lunch on the recommendation of the manager Gemma. She was not wrong, it was the perfect winter meal. The chef had prepared the meal perfectly. The service was warm and friendly. Easy access via public transport.

When there's good music there, the vibe is awesome. Always a good crew there. The bar manager was so lovely in looking after us on the night. Salt and pepper calamari was delish. Fav dish was the baked goats brie! My only gripes: The scallops were tiny and overcooked (dry) unfortunately. The band (very talented) was just a bit too mellow and the singer had a bit too much of an aggressive attitude towards a patron dancing and just having fun. Where he rapped threatening lyrics toward the guy. I've I heard that, I left. And 2 younger general female bar staff working on this night, saw me waiting patiently to be served, only to rudely ignore me and serve the fellas instead. Lucky for me. One kind fellow pointed out I had been waiting a while so a kind young bar fellow instantly served me when he noticed. So i tipped him a nice tip in thanks. Every time I have visited, it's been a fun time.

Had a great time watching g1 of origin here (despite result). Food was ok and staff were in good spirits throughout the night. However, be aware the premises were a little on the older side for our taste..
