It's a small pub, one would think you'd get better service instead of making you wait. Last time I went it was dirty and foul, this time looked better but still small. I didn't think much of the meals the last time, I hope they've upgraded their chef and/or skills

We stayed at the hotel for a week. Everything was clean and perfect. Very kind staff also. I would suggest a stay there!

We went there for lunch on Monday of the Australia Day long weekend. Ordered the Barra, chips and salad. Took 40 minutes to arrive. The fish was nice, the salad consisted of 4 small lettuce leaves. I think for the $35 I paid for the meal was overpriced. You can get better and pay a lot less. Our table booking that we made didn’t exist but there was a spare table. Would not recommend.

Really enjoyed our evening at The Erko. Food was yummy and service was happy and swift.

Honestly not the worst budget hotel i’ve stayed in. Rooms were comfortable however very very hot. Definitely will be back because the staff were legends.

Human and dog friendly with superb tap beers and food

Nice place but my goodness, it took forever to bring the lunch and the dishes were served at different intervals with prolonged wait and delays. My friend dish arrived half an hour after my dish. When you go out with friends, you want to eat at the same time!

Loved the dog friendliness of the place. The fact that doggos are allowed inside as well as the courtyard is a bonus. Great vibe. Waited an hour for our food though. Some members of our party who ordered at the same time had finished eating and had their plates cleared. Others waited for ever. Maybe they needed to wash their plates before serving ours?

Said they had rooms on the phone and online but when I got there hotel manager said they didn’t have any even though there were ones available to book online. :/

Great spot for a Sunday arvo feed and drink with friends. Always end up here when I'm in the area and does not fail to disappoint. Jake the bar tender was top notch as were all the team working. I went for the roast as always but sad to see it has changed since my last visit, as an English fella coleslaw does not belong on a roast and a Yorkshire pudding is a must! Other than that great visit as always!

The team at The Erko are phenomenal! I work for a charity and held a small function here. The team communicated terrifically, looked after us, and were extremely flexible to our needs. Am really grateful to Leigh, Fallon and the whole team. Recommend highly!!

Visit 2 here after Swans game. This joint is awesome. Great friendly staff. Cool vibe and simple delicious food at a decent price. Chicken schnitzel was tops. Gnocchi rich and delicious. Beef burgers amazing. BUT you got to have the pear crumble! This was worth waiting for. The crumble was melt in the mouth and the deliciousness of those pears man oh man and a generous scoop of vanilla ice cream. 4 of us shared it as it's a nice big hot skillet serve. Cute little canines hanging around and AFL on the big screen . 10/10

Great spot to catch up with friends. Food was great (chips were so good!) and friendly bartenders. Love that it’s dog friendly, wish we had more of this in Brisbane.

Edit: changed their management or something. The completely unnecessary renovation has sucked the life out of the place and up the prices. Cramped and crowded in the front room with staff that can’t think outside the box. Sadly unimpressed now.

Came here in my lunch break on my birthday to treat myself to your delicious food. Absolutely loved it but charging $8 for a soda water is a bit rich!

What a beautiful pub to be at. The service is lovely - young Isaac was so responsive, kind and friendly- he brought our happy hour drinks asap as a friend at our table was super thirsty! Not a small feat in the lead up to Trivia in a Wednesday night. Thank you Isaac and thank you Erko - we will be back!

40 minutes to get a medium steak...and three reminders. When I complained it turns out it was my fault! 3rd and last visit. Ordered at 6.40pm delivered at 7.20... 3 reminders and no explanation until I complained on Ieaving...guess I will not be going on a busy Saturday night (pub was half full at 7pm)...I won't be going again any night! Back to the Rose or the Imperial for me!

Great spot for dinner. We recently visited The Erko and will definitely be back again. The food menu is great with plenty of options. Everything is decently priced too. The pub is dog friendly (bonus points for that). They even have a dog menu with treats! The staff were all so friendly and very accommodating when we needed to make some changes to our meals.

There are signs up saying there are $15 jugs of tooheys for state of origin and they are just flat out refusing to honour the offer. Absolutely bizarre behaviour. I've also seen a large number of cockroaches throughout the pub.

Excellent food and drinks! I’m usually not a beef burger person but their beef burger is amazing. Also love the dog menu, both us and our dog had a good time here. Would definitely come back again.

We really loved our family birthday dinner here on a recent weeknight. It was cold outside but so very warm inside. Beautiful Art Deco building and excellent friendly and knowledgeable staff. Food was fab- from the barramundi to the pasta and all other offerings. Hubby highly recommends the scotch fillet. Excellent wine choices too. Highly recommended for a fun night out.

Such a great classic local pub. Went for lunch and it was amazing. Being vegetarian it can be hard at pubs but the selection was good and so delicious. The cauliflower steak is a knockout! The atmosphere is relaxed and staff excellent. There are two main bar sections a beer garden and accommodation upstairs. Prices very reasonable and the whole experience top notch. They are also dog friendly at certain times.

Great atmosphere, lovely staff but unfortunately food not that good. Falafel burger very dry, chips not that fresh, chicken schnitzel small and thin and dry, potatoes hard, lamb rump on beans sloppy mess. Steak beautiful and fish and chips very good.

Dined here on a Friday evening. We sat outside and the security guard reminded us that The Erko is dog friendly and we can bring Messina inside. My partner and I ordered the chicken sliders, cheese burger and steak tartare to share. The sliders and burger was very nice and I would order it again. The steak tartare was nice with dried veggies as chips to accompany it. Messina enjoyed the evening with the beef tartare and biscuits with a side of meat tray raffle

Worth a casual dinner out Lots of dogs around, although staff patting them and going back to kitchen Chicken parmi sauce is amazing. The chicken itself isn’t very good quality - more like chicken thighs than breast but that just my taste. Salad was more like just lettuce. Kudos for ginger beer on tap. I also won the Friday night raffle - that have about 5-6 winners (meat/fruit/veg platters and beer/wine)

The food are so good. They have very yummy choco chips cookie. Many variants of food for a pub. Cocktails also so nice. Will come again.

The restaurant has steak nights every Thursday where special steaks are ordered for the day. They had a wagyu inside skirt yesterday carved and served with gravy and butter with a side of fries and greens at 35! There also was a grass fed ribeye for the day.

My son and I have stayed at the rooms in the Erko quite a few times and the venue is exceptionally located and staff extremely helpful. Rooms and bathrooms very clean. I'm assuming it does get loud here from time to time as its a pub (!), however our experience has been that its generally a quiet neighbourhood pub.

first time to come and try this place. ordered some specials for the day and some drinks. It’s was trivia Wednesday.. the place seems packed and have a great crowd. food came a bit late perhaps due to the number of customers they have. Had to follow up as to how much more is needed for the food to be ready. food isn’t that bad. people having a great time doing the trivia.
