Wonderful food and more so amazing service, especially from Katie last night. Katie went above and beyond to make our night memorable. Will definitely be back!

Good location, not the best food but some staff need to learn what is customer service!

Friendly staff and great service.

Situated just a short stroll from the Light Rail on Alfred Street in Circular Quay is this great, historical hotel in a fabulous location 🍺 As a group of six people, we dropped in very late on Saturday night. I would like to go back and visit one sunny afternoon as there looked to be a fabulous beer garden outside! ⛱️ We ventured upstairs to music and a dance floor and a very unexpected ceiling decorated with vibrant umbrellas ☂️ We had jam donut shots at the bar and I'll definitely be back to explore this Sydney landmark! 🥂

Had lunch with family. Excellent service from all the staff, very friendly and professional. Great food and atmosphere, great spot for lunch in the Quay.

Popular because of its location and rooftop setup but as you'd expect drink prices are a rip off, service is terrible staff are rude and just don't care.

Bought two drinks and it cost over $30, $15 for a schooner of Asahi! It’s $60 for a box of 24! Tell ‘em they’re dreaming. Won’t be back any time soon

Good service and atmosphere. Good location.

Wonderful upstairs bar and restaurant to have drinks and a meal before our show at the Opera House. Had pizza and prawn pasta to share and we had a decent feed with drinks!

Good central place

Great spot by Circular Quay for a beer and schnitty

Definitely the place to be on a sunny and hot afternoon. Great vibes , good drinks and most importantly amazing staff

I recently had the pleasure of staying at The Paragon Hotel in Mudgee, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. This charming boutique hotel perfectly balances modern luxury with a touch of country charm, making it a standout in the region. The accommodation was immaculate and thoughtfully designed. The room was spacious, with plush bedding that ensured a restful sleep. I appreciated the little touches, like the locally sourced amenities and the welcoming bottle of Mudgee wine—such a thoughtful nod to the area’s renowned wine culture. The service was second to none. The staff were warm, attentive, and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was memorable. From personalized recommendations on local wineries to arranging transportation, they handled everything with a smile. The dining experience at the hotel’s restaurant was another highlight. The menu showcased fresh, local produce and featured dishes that were as delicious as they were beautifully presented. The wine list, unsurprisingly, was outstanding and featured many of Mudgee’s best drops. The location is unbeatable. Nestled in the heart of Mudgee, The Paragon is within walking distance of the town’s charming shops, cafes, and galleries, and just a short drive to the region’s iconic vineyards. Overall, The Paragon Hotel offers the perfect blend of comfort, style, and genuine hospitality. Whether you’re visiting for a romantic getaway, a weekend escape, or a wine tour, this hotel is an absolute gem. I can’t wait to return!

We come here regularly as we live close by. Today we ordered bunch of drinks one of em was vodka raspberry lemonade. It wasn’t sweet and and flat we took just 1 sip and came back to Vivek and he started arguing rudely even though I was very nice w him! Then he added more raspberry syrup to the drink and tasted the drink himself, made two random girl taste the drink and then was telling me to take the drink back as it was alright according to him! I understand if he couldn’t make me another one maybe I was wrong but taking a drink back that was tasted by 3 different people from the same glass? Maybe the staffs should do a food safety course! Sucking the tip of the straw then dipping the same side of the straw in the drink by 3 people and then telling me off! Ewwwh! You can keep the money and drink! Didn’t even argue after that!

This hotel is a good place to hang around city and circular quay. You will find a crowded environment due to convinent location and price as well.

Bar person knocked beers over me at the bar. Soaked the back of my shorts and filled my shoes. All he said was sorry mate that has never happened to me before. I had to ask for something to soak up the spill and was given a napkin. 😡

**REVIEW EDIT** I felt the need to edit this as the way my review was handled by Alex was outstanding, the professionalism and kindness shown by him and the fact that my concerns were addressed not only quickly but with a genuinity. It shows that the management actually care about their patrons - very rare these days! Thank you Alex. Pains me to write this as we have been fond of the Paragon and loyal customers for many years, yet our last two experiences left us feeling disappointed. Food was below average, kids pizza came out burnt, burger patties were also burnt. Kids used to get a schooner for pink lemonade, last two times it has been served in a short glass that you would get a spirit in. Did try to address these issues but the bar was unattended for some time. Not sure if we will be back.

The chicken burger was great but I just didn’t like the atmosphere

The service was absolutely terrible! The staff were extremely rude and didn’t even know the venue. I was sitting at a non-smoking table, and they scolded me for accidentally eating at a smoking table earlier, even though I moved when they told me to. It felt like I annoyed them for no reason. Honestly, some of these workers should just stick to retail instead of hospitality because they clearly lack people skills. To make matters worse, they yelled at me for someone else’s drink being in the area where I was eating, even though I went there because there were no other free tables. The whole experience was just rude and blunt, and they really need to reevaluate their approach.

Staff are always angry. Come here very often with a group and have never seen happy staff. Lady manager was clueless in the bar.

Visited this place for office party. The place was clean and spacious. Veg food was good.had fries, cauliflower starter, pizza and fruit platter.

Very busy for a Thursday night

The manager at the Paragon today was absolutely fantastic. I don’t know his name he made our day. Five stars

It's a really nice Bar and Restaurant, I go here often and everyone is great. The only thing I can say as a critique is that the smoking area is right next to the eating area, sure it's an open air place and they have fans cranking, im just not a fan personally of people smoking near me, but I dont blame them for it.

Lovely place for a drink but honestly no excuse to serve the meals we had. Chicken schnitzel looked like a 5 dollar version of a frozen supermarket one. Need to up your game, schnitzels are the most basic and easy items on the menu. Hope the food gets better.

Beer prices are to expensive at $12 a schooner food average.

A great place to stop in for a drink 😁👍

The most aggressively average pub I've been to in a while.

We were very surprised to find classic pub value so close to the harbour in such a beautiful venue. Charging extra for ham on a parmi is an odd choice but it was still a decent price regardless. The southern fried chicken burger was delicious and the chips were crispy. Would recommend for some affordable food and a couple pints in the city.

Good atmosphere, upstairs is really nice and not too loud. The food is pretty good, albeit expensive - in the heart of the tourist hotspot after all. Would recommend if you're in a Circular Quay and don't have somewhere specific in mind for lunch or drinks.

Good food, decent service, nice atmosphere

Good atmosphere but service was a little slow. Need extra people on after work busy times.

Caught up with friends and had an amazing night.

Been here many times for the chicken Parmigiana.

Great place for a quick snack and drink after a big day out

I was really unimpressed by the attitude of the staff , they have a policy of only having shots at the bar , I asked why and the bar tender just said that it is the rule. The manager Patrick was standing at the bar and did not want to give me an answer and just said it’s policy. I asked again why, he then explained and I said that makes sense. They could have just explained that when I first asked. He then said that he does not have to explain anything to us. Patrick then said to finish my drink and leave . That was my first drink btw . Poor communication and bad service we waited for over 30 min for our pizza to arrive . His ego is obliviously getting in the way. Lots of other places around give this one a miss. Terrible place.

We were sitting upstairs, 10 minutes + for the first cocktail that I ordered, I wasn't very happy (waiting for too long) and i wouldn't recommend (tiki something it was rum and coconut cream) but the second was nice (raspberry puree)

Good atmosphere and tasty food.

Thank you Alex and your staff, you have gone above and beyond with your level of service and attentiveness with our booking. Coming from Newcastle to celebrate my daughters 18th Birthday, planning everything via email wasn't always an easy task. Alex I truly can't thank you enough. The roof top bar is stunning! The food was amazing, the drinks were amazing and the service from everyone was next level, from management, to the security guard, to the lady who was on her first shift. We can't wait to visit again and again.

Friendly staff Delicious prosciutto pizza Good vibe

I’ve loved this place for a while always amazing atmosphere and most dishes are great quality, decided to get the pork belly bites and just wish it was advertised the actual amount of pieces the dish offered, they tasted great but I wouldn’t of ordered if I knew it was only 6 pieces

I went to the Paragon hotel cnr Loftus st and Alfred st Sydney Saturday 4/5/24. Really good hotel. There was a lady serving and doing bus boy or bus girl duties as well. The lady had long hair hanging down. It should be well known it's against health regulations to have long loose hair. Long hair should be tied up.

Enjoyed a great mothers day lunch here today, food and drinks were good, will definitely be back

Worst pub by an absolute mile in the Sydney city precinct. Was overcharged twice and the staff were rude and laughed when asked. I didn’t find it very funny, when I payed $53.00 for 2 bowls of chips that came out cold. 1 gin and tonic will cost you $12.50! Wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

Close to Train station great place for a drink 🥃 with friends great atmosphere

Had drinks only. Lovely pub, not too busy when we visited.

Beautifully decked out rooftop bar with a good selection of classic pub meals. Staff are friendly, place is really clean. Food and drinks are ordered at the bar

Went for a work lunch, place had a great vibe to it. Service was initially slow although that boiled down to the large group, after that service was quite speedy. Would go again the next time I’m in Sydney

Great old skool boozer down in the middle of Circular Quay. Outside area is shaded and a great drinking spot.

Pretty normal pub

Came in unexpectedly and had a great time even if it was packed for the American football game. Only thing that upset me was I had to go upstairs to order a cocktail when we were sitting downstairs. Place was clean and the atmosphere was great though. Cocktail was amazing. The best one I’ve ever had.

Peak behind the bar was awesome. Grabbed some takeaways. Chuffed

We popped in to watch the Superbowl great crowd good service and great food..

Convenient location priced accordingly. Be sure to go upstairs.

Great place in the heat of Australia day,

Really cute little pub. The smoking area/garden is really cozy and nice for having a few (or more) beers and a vape!
