We had a table for 2 set up between two tables of 10 people. Why?? The table next to us was loud and banging on the table. Yet when we walked out their was empty tables in a quieter spot. Food was great, service was great but just to loud.

We ate here 3 nights on our holiday. The service was amazing the first two nights thanks to our waiter Ernst. The third night the service was disappointing as we had a different server. Pizza was great, pasta really well cooked and flavours were great. Best brûlée we have ever had.

Lovely and attentive waitress named Lalita. Consistently checking up on our table asking how the food and experience was going - which was great. Plus informed us about the desert special which was going that one step further. Overall great restaurant experience this evening. Hats off to Lalita .

The food is absolutely amazing! We were just expecting nice Italian food and really weren’t expecting much from a casino restaurant but we were both blown away with how flavourful the food was. We got the penne carbonara and the fettuccini and were both shocked from the first bite as to just how good it was. Cannot recommend this place more. Service was great too.

A joke! Advised our service staff member was incompetent and was advised we don’t tolerate you being rude. What? Trying to get a point across - I’m sorry the night / service (no service) was comical. Sad 😞

😡 RUDE RUDE RUDE…What a shame.. use to be our go to.. went back a further 2 times but now it’s crossed off our list.. food portions have halved, prices have increased… if that’s not bad enough the service was disgraceful… there is no, customer service customer is always wrong and the waitresses are always right and the manager only listened to the waitress…. Disgraceful … rude, arrogant ,righteous…. The WORST restaurant on the Gold Coast…take it from me find another location RUDE, RUDE, RUDE

If your food was above average you wouldn’t be getting this review however when you serve a seafood pasta with 4 muscles I expect to see the contents! You served me the shells. Your macaroni lacked ingredients as well. $33 dollars for a plate of very basic Mac and cheese is too expensive. To rub salt into the wound you refused to validate our parking even after spending over $400 dollars because we had more than 4 people at the table. There are plenty of other good restaurants on the Gold Coast that I will spending my money at. Your location doesn’t warrant crappy food.

Pizzas were great. Pasta dishes just plain, tasteless and poorly presented. Considering the price, suggest you go elsewhere. Mains took 50 minutes to come out after entrees cleared from the table. Place wasn't busy. Sad face as when last here, 20 months ago, we had great food and service.

Dined in this evening and was less than impressed. Waiters were non attentive, we had to ask them when we wanted more drinks. No forks or side plates provided for our oysters. Then our pizza came out cold and our pastas come out with no side plates or anything to serve with. Definitely won’t be back.

Service was appalling, we had 9 people for dinner, we did not even get water refilled, was not asked for dessert and coffee and got an order wrong. Plenty of staff around and lots of empty tables, will not go here again.

For Starter puffed pizza bread add buffalo cheese and garlic bread ( it is spicy!) I had Gnocchi and Fussili pasta and tried Margarita, Diabola and prosciutto pizzas. All gorgeous

We attended to Italian Long Lunch event. Wow it was so much fun and the food was amazing. From the singing waiter to the amazing service and food we had a wonderful afternoon. Highly recommend if you are ever at The Star on the Gold Coast.

Another exceptional dinner at Cucina Vivo ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ My partner and I had dinner here a few days ago. Our waitress, Marina, provided us with excellent service. We started light, with focaccia. It was Saturday night and the restaurant was indeed busy, so the focaccia was served by the Pizza Chef himself, Fabio. Such an honor! We also appreciated his team work attitude towards the waiters. Now, they say that if you want to know if the Pizza in a restaurant is good you must taste how the focaccia is made. Well, let me tell you, this was the lightest and most delicate focaccia I ever had so far 😋 As a main we had a serve of Linguine Marinara and Spaghetti Vongole. OMG!!! Just AMAZING!!! For dessert, Tiramisu and Torta Caprese. Both perfectly made, but I highly recommend to experience the Torta Caprese 🏆🥇🎉 We are really looking forward to the next dinner at Cucina Vivo 🗓️🍽️🇮🇹 Thanks Marina and Fabio for the beautiful night 🤝 Keep up the good work 🥂

BEST PASTA, WORST SERVICE EVER….Last night we dined here for my grandsons birthday. the food was absolutely delicious, The girl serving was very nice but a slight mix up with the order. We sorted that, no problem. There was another slight mixup with the drinks order, we sorted that also. Then when we came to pay the waiter asked if we had a discount card which we did. A lady who appeared to be his superior took it off him and said no discount for a party of more than 4 (there were 4 adults and 2 children) we accepted this and she then reprinted the invoice and as I was about to pay when my daughter in-law noticed the bill was now double the original amount. The woman concerned was extremely rude when we asked for the correct invoice before we paid, she reprinted this time adding an extra $30. It was pointed out to her that we again had been charged more than the original invoice, she very angrily reprinted the correct invoice amount. It certainly soured what was a lovely meal, the table staff were not rude at all but the woman who was ‘over riding’ (can’t say managing) the staff has made sure we are most unlikely to ever go back.

We had the best experience at Cucina Vivo. The service was outstanding and the food was absolutely delicious. They also arranged for our daughter to do pizza making with the head pizza chef. It was such a lovely family activity and we all enjoyed the pizzas that we made. We are booking to go again next Friday and taking extended family with us. We highly recommend this restaurant.

We went to Cucina Vivo for our first wedding anniversary. Starting with the positives, the deserts were delicious and the staff were very friendly and tentative upon arrival. Unfortunately the rest of the food was quite a big let down. The calimari was so rubbery and dry. I had a few pieces and left the rest. The sauce that came with it was almost non existent. The arancini balls were ok. That's really all I can say about them. The sea food pasta, which we were told was a large serve, firstly was not a large serve. The calamari in that was also so rubbery and the rest of the sea food lacked much flavour. I can say the pasta itself and the sauce that came with it was actually very nice. But I didn't expect the pasta to be the saving ingredient in a sea food pasta! The initially tentative staff soon ended with us not being able to find someone to order more drinks, nor were we asked if we wanted refills and so we never actually bothered ordering more. Nor were we offered more water. We love going out and eating nice food and are more than happy to pay the higher prices when the food is really good. But this just doesn't live up to the price tag. I wouldn't have expected food of this low a quality at a local tavern on a cheap Tuesday.

But the Mushroom Gnocchi is the best I've ever had in my entire life! Please put back on the menu. 😀 Cucina is my favourite restaurant at The Star.

Well, to start we get a focaccia completely burned. Pasta with vongole way overcooked. Slow service. Ordered a pizza without tomato and received within. There are a lot of better place in Broadbeach to eat compare to this. Don't get screwed.

I went to Cucina Vivo with my partner for our first date 4 years ago, and last month we went again to celebrate our anniversary. .Food: We ordered the aranchini balls as our entry and it was delicious. For our mains I had the steak and my partner had the pasta with mushroom sauce, both were very good as well. The steak was the best one. We decided to have desert and once again everything was perfect, the alhought I loved the Tiramisu, the Creme Brule was the best of the night. .Service: We were served by a Latin American waiter, I believe he is from Peru, but I forgot his name. He was lovely, attentive and able to answer all our questions regarding the menu and wine. 5 ⭐️ service for sure. .Atmosphere: Great atmosphere, doesn’t even looks like you are in the Cassino. Lovely music and beautiful restaurant.

Tonight it was definitely the first of many times! Everything was delicious, from entry to dessert! The woodfire pizza was amazing, light and tasty, the chefs were absolutely amazing! We met Fabio the chef, great guy like the restaurant itself. Staff are very attentive and accommodating. If you going to see an evening show, please let the waiter know. They speed things up. Woodfire pizza's. Good dinner with family.

$30 for a stingy serve of gnocchi. Even the entree was bigger! Just looked like gnocchi in a soup of oil. Very disappointing and over priced

Third and not the final visit either! Food is always great. Enjoyed my past two visits thoroughly. They've always found a table for me too even though I don't usually reserve. Good choice of wines. Alll the ones you expect to see. The venue is pretty too. Cool open kitchen concept. The bar staff could however definitely brush up on Italian classics. Milano Torino! Campari and sweet vermouth easy as. Unfortunately they don't ever make it even with knowing the ingredients. Drinks often have a wait though the bar never looks staffed with numbers so that explains that. The market fish is priced at 40. Which seems just a touch too expensive for a slice of fish and some leaves. Even a handful of baby potatoes would do the price more justice. Though the reason for 4 star is the latest visit. Service was incredibly slow. Looking around me it seemed the whole section was. Food was well timed as usual. But 20 minutes for my starter plate to be cleared raised an eyebrow. Overall love the place. I'll always be back.

It was my first time at this place. Unfortunately our meals came 1 hour 20 minutes after we ordered. It took so long that I was no longer hungry when it came. I had the fettuccine, it was good but the waiting time was unacceptable, sorry!

3 meals lobster, steak and pizza $75 for lobster, no more than 12 mouthfuls of lobster, slid where salad and pita bread. Still hungry very disappointed. Steak $58, cold!! Very tasty and tender, sent back, microwaved meat and sides still cold. Pizza ok but cold. $240 cost for a 3 person meal, the serving staff where amazing. So well spoken and happy to help. Management did not care for feedback or offer anything but a $50 voucher for the next day. We could not afford attempting another meal of this calibre. It was a special occasion that was ruined by the lack of care for their menu and presentation, over inflated prices and lack of respect for their patrons.

It is a pleasure from start to finish. The atmosphere is warm and minimalist. Ally and Ernst's service is impeccable. Vini, the pizza wizard, will make you feel like you are in Florence, Italy 🇮🇹. The dishes come in perfect portions, allowing you to delight in each culinary creation.

How can this resto has such a low rating? The food is great! We walked in, they gave us a warm welcome and have us seated. My husband order the veil steak and he said this is the first proper meal he has during this trip in Australia as we live in Indonesia. I had carbonara and was great. My son has margherita (his fave pizza) and he loves it. They also has a great service, my husband told the waitress that she has a lovely smile 😀 she is very friendly and smile all the time. I did not manage to take any photos because we enjoyes the food so much and busy talking. Definitely will be back if we stay in the STAR apartment again. 🫶🏻

I'm going to be honest here, Floor stuff were amazing, the atmosphere was very comfortable and the way they have set the restaurant out they can serve a lot of people without seeming like there is a lot of people around us. The Entree was a balsamic bruschetta, although the topping was beautiful the bread was burnt which overpowered the taste of the entire dish. The pancetta was delicious, very straightforward and easy to eat. My mother got the: SPAGHETTI Vongole, garlic, chilli, parsley, olive oil, butter, lemon (GFO)(see photo) Her Review is that it was delicious as she has had it before from another restaurant said that this was even better yet so I will take her word for it. Me, I got: BISTECCA FLORENTINE 1KG Grass-fed, garlic and herb butter Served with hand-cut rosemary fries, rocket salad and Primitivo wine sauce. I don't know where to fking Start, the steak was deliciously cooked medium rare and honestly I could not fault it they clearly took the meat out and let it rest at room temperature before they cooked it as the way it was textured was stunning from start to finish (see photos) All in all it was a delicious restaurant and the Tuscan red wine that we Had deserves a special mention. Will I be back? If the steak is on the menu? I definitely will as my mouth is watering again and I ate it less than an hour and a half ago 😂 Please note, they have a mountain of gluten-Free and vegetarian options which I can confirm looks delicious from someone else's meal

Been twice in the past month and both times were great. I feel bad but said I would do a report on the supervisor on the first night which was the the 22nd May and feel bad as I forgot her name. She was very obliging and efficient. I think it may have been Ally. Last night we also had great service from Paula. Nice to come to a venue that has great food and service combined. I do wish they would put their lasagna back on the menu. We returned for our third night and Ally and Olivia really made our dinner a great experience again. As for the chef .... what a fantastic veal dish. My brother-in-law didn't want it to finish. Chef was also very obliging and made one of the best veals I have had in a long time. I would like to recommend that some bread be served with the wonderful prosciutto. Thanks again.

The service here was absolutely outstanding, drinks were always full plates cleared and happy faces!!! Food was great but desert was even more delicious! Cocktails were average not all that much flavour!

I don’t normally write reviews but thought our experience warranted taking the time to do so, to save anyone who doesn't want to waste their money. We waited over an hour for our food and when I recieved the carbonara I had ordered, it was measley. It was cold, bland and so salty that it was inedible. There was a couple of bacon bits sprinkled on top, with no sauce. It was the most underwhelming meal I’ve ever had. I have never not finished a meal that I’ve paid for but it was inedible. We will not be returning and I definitely do not recommend this establishment. I also ordered a cocktail that tasted like straight syrup, I had to water it down… We spent $80 each here, in a group of 5 and considering we don’t get to go out very often I’m very disappointed we wasted our night going here.

Could not fault this place!! Atmosphere was great, service fantastic & food absolutely delicious! My daughter LOVES Italian, & she thought this was up there as one of the best she’s tried. We started with the focaccia Romana (simplistic yet perfect) followed by the Arancini (delicious crispy balls of goodness) Caprese salad (so fresh) & then for mains Fusilli bolognaise (requested fettuccine instead which they were more than happy to oblige) & Campanelle which we’re both absolutely devine! Unfortunately I was so full I couldn’t fit a dessert but my daughter tried the Tiramisu which she LOVED! Wait staff were friendly & attentive. Would highly recommend!

I had Fabio's special and it was a Quatro formaggi, it was amazing, the cream base was sick and the chef added walnuts and a bit of honey on top which gave it an cosiderable amount of umami. In total the four cheeses with walnuts and the honey made it such an exquisite experience.
