This place is so good! Great interior, friendly staff and such good drinks. Highly recommend.

We have been coming here for decades through all the different phases of the hotel and the food is probably at the best it has been. The menu is varied with different styles of food. We tried the dumplings which were fabulous and full of flavour. The potato scallops which took me back to my youth in a good way. The lamb skewers, steak and Caesar salad for mains, all were good. Don’t forget to try one of their cocktails as they are yummy. We will definitely be back to try some more of the menu as everything we tried was so good.

Came for the Christmas roast dinner, pretty good with a generous serving of meat. Would have been 5 star but no Yorkshire pudding with a roast dinner is a real let down honestly. Besides that, good grub.

Ordered the steaks and they were phenomenal!! Beautiful seating areas and a very comforting vibe!! Would definitely come back again.

Held our annual Halloween event here last Saturday, and we have to say the experience was incredible. The staff were great, the venue was easy to use, Taylor the events manager went out of her way to accommodate all our requests and our guests had a great time. Could not haver asked more from them. Would highly recommend.

We had my 40th birthday in the private room at Penny's - what an awesome find, I stumbled upon it by accident and am so happy I did! I highly recommend this space for your next function, all of my guests raved about how cool it was. The staff were super helpful and attentive, the room has a new fitout and is really funky and the whole venue has a great vibe. We were able to set up decorations easily and in the lead up Taylor our event contact was super helpful and nothing was ever too hard to accommodate. Everyone loved the food too, we had some of the platters and pizzas which were very filling for our 50 guests and everyone said how delicious it all was. It was such a great venue and we LOVED it. Thank you to the team for a fantastic and fun night. Definitely book your next party here!!!!

This is a great hotel with a fab retro vibe. The staff are friendly and the food is excellent. Try the Sunday roast with all the trimmings. We come here often and have never been disappointed.

Random visit on Sunday when let down by a nearby restaurant. What a pleasant surprise. The Sunday roast was amazing! Great taste and attention to detail served with a large yorkshire pud! Definitely coming back again.

Partner and I went here last night for dinner, wasn’t anything to rave about, I understand you only have the one chef but the menu is super basic. The wine and beer were the best things. When a bug landed in my wine they did give us a new glass which was nice. Probably won’t be back anytime soon

I recently celebrated my sister's birthday at Penny's Hotel, and it was an outstanding experience. The pre-booking service was excellent, thanks to Taylor, who managed our booking and walked us through the venue and package options. The renovated space is cozy and perfect for any celebration. The food was delicious, and we had the freedom to play our own music, which added a personal touch to the party. The service at the bar was awesome, and the staff were friendly and attentive. I was so impressed that I've decided to celebrate my birthday here as well, and I've already recommended it to friends. Keep up the great work, guys!

Top shelf across the board - food was amazing (potato scallops with vinegar salt a well as fig and blue cheese pizza…YUMM!!!) as was the service and atmosphere! Great location too!!

I arrived at 8.59pm and was told the kitchen was open so I ordered fish. About 3 minutes later I was told they didn’t want to make it because the kitchen was closed. Appalling service. Don’t bother with this glorified TAB

I made a group booking for my friends hens party at the New Hampton Hotel and it was great. Peter answered all my questions promptly in the lead up, we had a cosy area to ourselves downstairs and the food came out really quick and was delicious. The staff on the night really looked after us, I couldn't fault anything! Would highly recommend for your next event

Ben, one of the managers was fab. He was very knowledgeable on the gin that the pub stocked. He certainly can make a great g&t. We have come back a few times since and have recommended to our friends.

Not a place for me but you may like it. Brand new inside, outdoor smoking area. The girls behind the bar not only look like they don't know what they are doing, they act it too. Bit steep on the price of tap beer

As GM of Sales for Rawson Homes, we recently held our Sales Awards dinner at this fabulous venue, the experience was wonderful. the Staff were attentive, experienced, customer service focused. food was spectacular and i would recommend this venue highly.

Excellent food. The current bar staff really need to be retrained in customer service. There attitude is absolutely appalling and in some cases totally inappropriate. I have been drinking at the Hampton for about 10yrs but it has gone down hill significantly in the past 18mths since the new owners took over and its just representing a very sorry excuse for a bar now. I understand they are trying but really need to pay a lot of attention to the current bar staff and retrain them

First time going to the new Hampton hotel. Best steak I have had in a long time! Ordered the rump, was cooked exactly how I like it and the cut of meat was perfect. Good prices also.

This place has lots of potential but staffed with untrained backpackers, looking clueless at times. Good food (just avoid the edamame snack) and plenty of screens.

We held team drinks here last week in The Abbey. Natalia was so easy to deal with and nothing was too much trouble when booking. The staff on the night were amazing and the space was perfect for our needs. Would definitely recommend for a work group.

For a one-level bar, the New Hampton's a lovely cosy place for those wanting a place for drinks with less crowds! Thanks to Courtney, Natalia and the team for booking our group into the Vault without hesitation for a Thursday evening. The Vault's perfect for those wanting to watch sports while chilling on the lounge or mingling via standing around the tables. Will definitely be keeping New Hampton in mind for Thursday nights.

Surprisingly cavernous pub bistro which gave me British vibes (in a good way). Unfortunately the Sunday roast which I was looking forward to fell flat - a few stringy vegetables and no roast potatoes, fatty pork with little lean meat and a tiny pre-made Yorkshire pudding. Very poor. My partner's fish and chips were fine, but overall I wouldn't rush back for the food. We also got hustled along to move out of the way as they were moving tables around us and needed to move ours. Didn't have our first choice of wine but the house alternative was passable...

I go for dancing on Sundays. The dance area is ad hoc. But i guess it's a relatively new addition to this cute pub. Would be better to put the band and dancers in the side area rather than the main thoroughfare, at the entrance. The staff are friendly. The bands are always fun with jazz/ rock n roll tunes. Several stairs to climb to enter and I'm not sure if there's any mobility assistance entry. Haven't eaten here but the drinks are standard prices.
