Amazing food, great beer on tap and friendly service The two only let downs are. They’ve got 1 register for ordering food, which means you can be in queue for a very long time, surprised they don’t have QR codes for ordering when it’s busier. The other thing was the children’s playground, seems like a recycled McDonald’s playground, it’s not safe at all, kids climbing on the outside of it and on shade umbrellas. Overall still a great experience but those two fixes would make it 5 star

The Av RSL Bistro had a little bit of a melt down tonight. BUT I must commend the manager on duty, Kylie. She did a great job salvaged what she could and kept the customers happy Very well done in difficult circumstances guys.

One of the best RSLs I have ever been to. Very friendly staff. Relaxing atmosphere and tucked away from busy roads. Heaps of easy free parking. I’ll be back.

Great place for a family day out! Terrific playground for children of all ages, decent wine, and terrific food. All at very reasonable prices 🙄 A definite to visit.

Friendly staff, a great outdoor area ideal for families there is even a play area for the kids, also has good food and drink at very reasonable prices, do yourself a favour and try the local brews by the Avalon brewing company they come highly recommended.... By me 😄

Me and my girlfriend tried here for dinner and were astounding at the quality of the food (best we’ve ever had at any rsl) and the amazing services. Long haired bartender was particularly great, going above and beyond, wish we got your name

Great terrace, food and drinks are terrific. Lovely play area for the kids. Definitely a very relaxing family venue in the middle of Avalon.

Good food, play equipment outdoors for children, damn nuisance visitors can no longer sign in, but have to present their driving licence. Even a government vaccination certificate won't do. Take it back to sign-the-book.

The RSL has a fantastic vibe with great food and friendly, efficient staff.

We were impressed with the food which was very tasty and reasonably priced. The beer garden was a bit noisy but I guess that goes with the territory.

Had the chicken schnitzel which was not made there, processed unfortunately and quite bland.

We play bowls Tuesdays and go for lunch. The stand out is the very friendly obliging staff. Always a welcoming smile and eager to help. The food is lovely and quick service. The daily specials are interesting and change regularly. D

This RSL is amazing! Always get the best service, the menu has many options to choose from and the drinks menu is great too! It's perfect for kids as well with an outdoor play area near the outdoor undercover eating area, so perfect for families as well.

Really REALLY BAD POKIE ROOM, the card system they have to take your winnings is EXTREMELY problematic. I HATE playing pokies here because it’s more of a headache than anything I’ve ever seen before trying to ‘collect’ winnings from each machine with a card. Bring back the receipt system. DO NOT GAMBLE HERE! WORST GAMBLING VENUE I HAVE EVER BEEN! 0/10.

Very much enjoy going to my local RSL for a night out but have to say we were quite disappointed at the quality of the food in the bistro. The Veg Curry was particularly disappointing and expensive for what we received. Small amount of Veg, thin sauce and rather tasteless with excessive chilly. Also a burger which was just acceptable. I am writing this in the hope the food quality will improve as I really like to support my local community businesses. The staff work hard to make you feel welcome and I would love to enjoy a regular meal at my local club. Regards John.

Staff great as always, but food is not great and can be expensive. Recently had the $27 vegetarian curry - just a few vegetables in a thin and bland tomato sauce. Unfortunately not great value.

Cosy beach. There are similar sizes is beach adjacent to this location. Water is clear as well sand too. Pool is also equally good. Within the vicinity there are hotel, pubs and restaurants. Hills around this location added beauty. A good place for family day out.

Great club, very good food. BUT, it's the only club I have ever been in who refused to sell me a schooner of lemon, lime & bitters. Could not understand it???

Fun community environment. Pity the concert crowd for the Whitlams’ concert on Fri 25 Nov22 were very disrespectful, talking loudly in groups during the entire show. Very annoying indeed.

Delicious food and friendly staff, even the kids menu tastes professional. The only downside is that the continuous strong cigarette smell flies from the carpark through to the kids play zoom, which may or may not be the matter that the venue can control, but it's definitely something the venue needed to aware of.

Great staff. Special shout out to Kylie. Food prices a bit expensive for an RSL and do not vary the menu enough. So sick of the food if you go there regularly.
