A great place to chill in the outdoor area with a few drinks. Live music and then DJ til early hours.

Enjoyable,nice setting the meals I’ve had have been nice and tasty and have been consistent in their quality .Special note of the friendly and efficient staff in the restaurant area.

Oysters are good and fresh! Doesn't hurt that they're 10 dollars for a half dozen on fridays :)

Great atmosphere, food fantastic and the 2 wait staff were beyond amazing especially the young lady who remembered every detail of the specials and whom exactly had what too eat. Well done 👏 ✔️ 👍

Went in late night to get a bottle of gin and the variety and the prices seem to be pretty okay. Service was good by the friendly lady behind the counter.

Ebony looked after our booking and also our table on the day. What an asset to your Hotel. She was able to describe all specials listing every ingredient in each dish and did not need to take notes when we all ordered despite a couple of us changing our mind. The food was excellent and the service by Ebony was outstanding.

Have regularly visited and eaten at The Highway for the last 4 years and would normally give food 5, but what did you guys do? Our favorite food is the Fried Halloumi and the mushroom pizza. Last night the portions of both were smaller and the price higher! Feel like we are being ripped off big time. The look of a small pizza on a large wooden board is terrible (previously covered the hole board) and trying to cover up the small portion of Halloumi (4 instead of the previous 6) with some small pieces of pitta bread is insulting. Do you consider these changes have on regular customers?? Yes you have reduced your costs, but you will loose business overall and your bottom line will suffer. So short sighted business practice. We won't eat at The Highway again. Sad.

If I am rating the food and service then 5 stars I enjoyed my experience, but as I am rating the whole place I have to relay an unpleasant experience with the security. I just arrived after a long day travel to meet friends, I was dressed in clean long pants and a collar shirt and I wore boots. I went through the public bar and then into another bar trying to get to the bistro and was stopped by a security guard who told me to leave. I am in my 50's and even though I am tall I am not a trouble maker (he doesn't know that though). I asked why I was being kicked out and I was told that I was wearing boots, they weren't dirty I wear them all the time with no drama. But he was insisting on me leaving so I was complying with his request, all of this happened in a crowd so I was embarrassed. My wife asked if we could go to the restaurant. He begrudgingly agreed but asked the Restaurant manager if I had a booking as it was apparent that he did not believe me or my wife. So way to turn a welcome on, I didn't know that you can't wear boots as I haven't heard of it before but I understand rules are rules but maybe enforce this in a more tactful way for other people in the future.

The Dining Room has a beautiful atmosphere and the minus complement lovely table settings. It was unpleasant having to enter through the Pokies when parked out the back in the car park. The staff were polite and friendly but slow to clear the table. The food was average. The fries were the best but the schnitzel was dry and it seemed as though they weren’t freshly prepared. Had the appearance of a bulk frozen product. Seniors meals were $20 for main with an additional $6 for desert but there was only one option on offer

Fantastic, it was my first visit as I am from WA. Meal and service excellent couldn't fault it. Young girl serving was a great ambassador for your staff. Sadly, I can't remember her name.

The food was great, I had the roast the meat was so tender

absolute rubbish! was there for my siblings suprise party and we didn’t know that there was a uniform you had to wear to have a drink and food so they wouldn’t allow my brother and dad in and they missed the surprise part. I wish I could put 0 stars, disgusting. I see other people wearing sandals and they aren’t getting kicked out. Stupid.

Today’s (Thu 17/10/24) experience of bar attendant service by the two female staff in the Function Room for Support Act was absolutely incompetent, unhelpful and indifferent. I have been to Support Act multiple times in the past and found the bar service to be exceptional when I needed assistance purchasing bottles of wine… the complete lack of experience and/or care-factor of these two women towards a customer was disgusting and sheds a bad light on future attendance at this pub for myself. Very disappointed and frustrated. For reference, I have been in the hospitality industry for many years previously as a bartender and the standard I experienced today was pathetic!

First visit and was very impressed with the food and service, thank you.

Spent over ＄70 for food for 2 0f us. Too salty.. really was too salty. We got ＄50 wine. It was our nice kid free date night but enede up wasting money..... we should have cooked home meal which was much less salty!!!!!

Had an average pork cutlet that was way over salted, my partner and I both ordered the same meal and both agreed it was way too salty, tried to let staff know but nobody really cared and said they would let the kitchen know, did they? Or did they just put us in to the complaint pile? Given the fact that you have to pay high prices and run your own meals to your table I would have thought that someone cared for feedback? Time to move on from bus food service and bring back table service with table checks? This place needs an upgrade real bad, service is zero for the price you charged me, maybe I deduct your pay instead because when you work hard to go out for a lovely dinner to just be disappointed really hurts people. Sorry but I don’t like to complain it just ruins your experience.

A fresh and updated bar to be seen at. With inside and outside options available to rest your weary legs. Plenty of beers on tap and bottles in the fridge. Live music Friday night til 9 then a DJ from 9:30pm.

It does its job as a pub and has always been one of my go to places. Seem to have tried to go high end and that reflects in the prices of everything. Was there again last night and although they state table service for drinks ordered via the QR code, a lot of us had to go up and get our drinks because we had been waiting a while and the drinks were ready on the bar. Having to already go get your own food as they don’t bring that out for you, it was disappointing to have to go up and get your drinks as well and having to wait to be served water. The food and drinks were nice but the service needs some attention.

I had the fish of the day and it was beautifully cooked. The wait staff were friendly and attentive without being overbearing. Good value for money. Sepr 2024: had a beef schnitzel. So good!
