Amazing! Thank you!

We were shopping in Mosman around late lunch so I thought we’d try the Fernery. We were pleasantly surprised with how friendly the staff were towards us. The food we ordered was very flavoursome and reasonably priced. There was a very entertaining singer here on the Sunday we were here which was a bonus. I’d come here again. The only caveat is that the car park entry and exit process is fixed as the car park is operated by Secure Parking. When I tried to enter the car park I had issues with the process as you have tap your credit card which didn’t recognise my card. I then called the number listed and spoke to a representative who provided me with a PIN code. When I was leaving the club I entered the original pin and I received a charge for parking. I then remembered I had seen a sign which stated if you spend $10 or more you had free parking. Luckily I could reverse back and parked my car and went back to the front desk and was given a single access code which I entered at the gate which wasn’t recognised so I called Secure Parking again and had a very painful conversation with the representative not understanding the situation, after a long conversation about the code not working and there shouldn’t be a charge they eventually opened the gate without any further explanation. A terrible last memory of a previously great day.

Great place to meet friends for a drink. Good service from very friendly staff. The menu looks sophisticated but the food didn’t really deliver on promise - hopefully next time!

I was taken here for my birthday what a beautiful atmosphere and amazing service but the food was average we ordered the snapper for 2 but it was so small even one person would go hungry😢 the fish you have to order sides to fill up the flavour was a little strange also the fries were only crispy on top the rest were soggy I was disappointed…

Had the steak. Service, food and wine was impeccable. One of the best meals I’ve had, will be back.

I hosted my fiancés 30th birthday at the fernery in Mosman, right from the start the staff were amazing. The events team were so organised and attentive to every detail. We had the canapés and you would usually assume for an event this size that the finger food would be fairly basic, but no, it was incredible. So delicious. The bar staff were friendly, helpful, and most of all kept the most fun vibe going throughout the night. Often times when you host an event at a venue you are limited to how much you can decorate etc but they were so flexible and didn’t in anyway stifle the night with rule's or limitations. If I could give the fernery 10 stars I would.

Overall disappointing food and service. Portion sizes very small, average in taste and totally not worth the cost. E.g 4 very small arancini balls $18, 3 small zucchini flowers $22. 3 tiny lamb koftas $18. A half plate of chips for $9. Service extremely slow at the bar, inexperienced bar staff trying to make cocktails which means customers standing at the bar for long periods of time waiting to order a drink. Seemed to be quite a few bar staff around but didn’t appear to know what they were doing. Our group had to ask a few times to be served at the bar, but was told to wait why one of the bar tenders who was trying to show one of the young guys how to make a cocktail. Very disappointing and probably explains why the place was half empty on a Saturday evening. It’s a shame as it has a lot of potential. But we won’t be back!

The food is really bad. Overpriced and flavourless. Like it was made by a child. No depth. No flavour. Really disappointing. My friend also ate here and said it was bad so I suggest avoiding the food. Best to come for a drink only

Such a surprise to find this gem at the top of the RSL. What a lovely oasis with great food. Sitting either inside or outside, you certainly can't go wrong here.

I hosted a special milestone party for over 40 people at The Fernery recently and I couldn’t be happier with the venue, the food and the service. The Events Coordinator, Brook and the Event Hostess, Nicole were exceptionally helpful with the planning amd delivery on the night. Its a great venue with wonderful views and it worked well for showing slides and giving speeches. Even though it was raining and we couldn’t go outside, the Balmoral Room was so good it was not an issue. It was an adult party but my four young grandchildren were well catered for. Everything worked well and the fact that ALL the staff were nice and helpful, added an extra special touch. Highly recommend! We look forward to going back for dinner in the near future.

Our experience was really nice , atmosphere, service, food top notch . We even met Paul the top floor manager , he was very inviting and accommodating. We will be back.

Pleasantly surprised Beautiful spaces, relaxing vibe whatever age. Loved the greenery and chilled music. Service and food was good Had the bugs and steak. I would recommend great for drinks or a meal,I will definitely come again.

Heads off to this place! We went last night for dinner and I must say that atmosphere is amazing. Ordered prawn linguine, steak, snapper & chicken. Great food, great taste & the way food was presented. Just wow. Thanks to the chefs who made our night. I exactly thank the chef. Thanks a lot.

Great view from the restaurant. Would be great for sundown drinks. The food was very very ordinary. Prawn linguini was a big bowl of slop with thick cheesy, creamy bland sauce.

Hosted my birthday soiree at the Fernery recently and I couldn't be happier. They accommodated all my needs from the beginning and were so helpful in all my queries. Service was great and food/drinks are delish. Venue itself is stunning - the main reason I chose to celebrate here. Hope to return soon! Thanks so much guys ^_^

Hosting our events at The Fernery has been a remarkable experience. The staff consistently demonstrate exceptional accommodation and ensure that everything is impeccably set up and operates seamlessly. Their attention to detail is commendable, and the delicious food is an added bonus.

I recently hosted a lunch at The Fernery for 11 people. The food, presentation and Service surpassed all our expectations. I highly recommend this venue for any and all occasions and events I’d like to thank the staff, particularly Nicole, who was our server. She was Extremely helpful, pleasant and efficient. We came here on Saturday night, our waitress was very friendly and made sure we always had everything we needed! The manager was friendly and welcoming and the food was incredible, best barramundi we have ever had! Beautiful decor and atmosphere

When on Sunday for mother's with my families and I would like to say this place is amazing. Love the lamb shoulder and roasted potatoes.

We booked the Fernery for our wedding in March 24 for an evening reception, and it was truly magical. From the moment we made the enquiry we were looked after by Brook who was an incredible event manager. We had a lot of specific requirements about decorations and food and she was extremely accomodating on all accounts. Leading up the event Brook made several suggestions to ensure the event ran smoothly and they turned out to all be great suggestions. Our reception was mainly held in the Balmoral room, and at night, covered in flowers, greenery, and festoon lighting it looked magnificent. All of our guests were raving about how beautiful it looked. The rooftop view at sunset is gorgeous and I would highly recommend you book it during this time. We opted to have a canapé style reception and the food was plentiful and delicious. The various options catered to a variety of dietary requirements and the Fernery staff (Nicole and Brook) made sure that anyone with a dietary requirement received the correct food at the same time as all of the other guests. The team made sure we had ample room for a dancefloor at the far end of the room and our guests were able to dance the night away. To the whole team at the Fernery, thank you so much, you made our wedding and hope many others will get to have as much fun on that rooftop as we did.

The food was ok, the cocktails were better!

Great food and lovely views from the restaurant. We enjoyed the cannelloni and tortellini dishes. However, the service was incredibly slow which was disappointing especially as the restaurant was only about 20% full.

Drink are a bit pricey but otherwise very nice.

Perfect Bridal Shower/Hens Lunch location! Thank you to Brook, Events Coordinator, for seamless email/phone organisation of the event. My questions and requests were always answered informatively and warmly. Everything was communicated perfectly to the Saturday event staff. Thank you to our lovely event manager on the day, Nicole. The table and private room were set up beautifully. The location of the private room with a balcony was great, it was very spacious, great light and nice and airy. Meals on time and delicious. Drinks package great value. We all felt very looked after and most importantly the bride had a wonderful day.

We held my daughters 21st at The Fernery. The staff, leading up to the event and on the night were magnificent. It's a great venue and the prices more than reasonable. Thank you Brook, Nicole and the rest of the team, everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves.

We hosted our engagement party in the Balmoral Room at the Fernery. Right from first contact, they were great to deal with and accommodated all of our requests. The event went smoothly and all our guests had a great time. Nicole, Steve and the bar staff were attentive and made sure my partner and I had everything we needed from them. Highly recommend the Fernery for events.

On my birthday in January we booked the The Fernery's Gin Room for a family get together of eighteen people, including four little children. We booked it as event and pre-ordered from the events menu. The finger food was delicious, plentiful and appropriate. We also had access to the terrace, directly off the Gin Room, which we all enjoyed, the day was perfect. We'd all vote to do this event again. Thank you to The Fernery Team who were attentive and efficient.

Dined in the restaurant part. Great view of the city skyline at sunset. Friendly, attentive service, delicious food. Nice decor. Atmosphere was a bit lacking simply because there were not many people there even on a Friday night.

We recently held my father’s retirement party for a close group of family and friends, and I can’t speak highly enough of the experience from confirming the booking, to choosing the right package, to the actual festivities on the day. It was all flawless. All staff members I interacted with were the warm, accommodating, professional and just a pleasure. The food was delicious, the service on the day was impeccable and the venue itself is the perfect balance of modern, stylish, relaxed with breath-taking views. Had dinner here for the first ( and last ) time tonight. The snapper tasted like something you might buy frozen from a supermarket. The pork chop was tasteless. There was only locally brewed beer . The prices didn’t reflect what was on offer. No wonder there were only 3 tables occupied on a Friday night

The Fernery staff were wonderful in allowing us to host a farewell for about 50 people. It was the perfect venue. Plenty of space, close proximity to the bar for drinks and ordering food. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, from the booking process to the last minute request for a microphone being fulfilled. Thank you Fernery for making the event a success! We'll be back!

Nice place ,Nice Food

The sign says 'kids eat free' on Sundays but this place is NOT child friendly. Within two minutes of arriving (at 5.15) we were immediately made to feel unwelcome and told our kids had to be seated the whole time. There was one other group in the restaurant. No kids activities and we were charged for the kids meals despite the special. Don't bother coming with kids unless you enjoy being treated like you have the plague.

This place exceeded my expectations on all fronts. Super friendly staff, perfect food and an absolutely stunning venue. I wish I was local so I could come back sooner. The peanut butter brownie was exquisite, worth writing home about!

Had dinner here recently. I asked whether they served non-alcoholic ginger beer. They said yes. I ordered one. They brought me alcoholic ginger beer. Luckily I noticed fairly quickly. When I asked for it to be replaced, the waitress said she put it through as a non-alcoholic ginger beer but would need to check if it was actually non alcoholic. It turned out I was served an alcoholic ginger beer. When I asked to replace it again, the waitress asked - politely - whether I couldn't drink alcohol. I didn't really want to justify why I would simply like to drink what I had requested but found myself explaining why I couldn't have alcohol. Even though the query was politely put, serving alcohol to a person when they have specifically asked for a non-alcoholic drink and then querying said person about it is seriously inappropriate. The roast was very good but the snapper was not. Dry and very salty.

Went to a function upstairs here on the weekend. Was a great space with district views. The drinks and food were excellent as well. The gnocchi was awesome. Staff were friendly and fast.

Daniil delivered the best cocktails in town by far, great ambiance and best service, I endorse this place !!!!

Had Sunday lunch with 3 other friends and was very disappointed. Had been there multiple times in the past. Food was good, setting lovely however the wine markup was ridiculous, with a multiple of over 3 for most selections. We only had one bottle, whereas in past would have had 3. Probably why there was only one other table occupied on the entire floor.

Great service, good variety of entrées, mains and desserts, ambient atmosphere, makes for a great dinner date :)

Short answer: venue is beautiful; service doesn't match. Long answer: I booked a table for 18 guests, working with event manager, Neil to produce a canape menu for the evening. Email exchanges with Neil were fine leading up to the event. I was told the $45 pp would entitle each guest to 1.5 portions of food, suggesting our money would go far. On the night, the amount of food provided was minimal - we were all left hungry. We would have been better off spending $20 each on a burger. The food was served on a separate table, like a buffet, for guests to go up to collect. No intimacy, very sterile. We were disappointed to see that a table was set for 10, with disconnected bar stools set up nearby to 'cater' for our 18 guests. Why was this done for a dinner party of 18? And to rub salt into the wound, I was pulled aside by another event manager on the night who scolded me for popping a single celebratory confetti popper. I was taken from my party for several minutes while told off, despite never receiving notice from their team this would not be allowed. If your team communicates poorly, why would the blame be placed on your customer? Our group spent over $800 on food, and several hundred on alcohol. Each one of us was frustrated and upset by the experience, and will not likely return. Sort out the attitudes of your management, and don't rip people off. Otherwise, you business won't last. Simple.

Came for an event and the kitchen and staff went above and beyond to accommodate my allergies. Food was 💯% and will definitely be back! Can't thank the whole team enough.

What a fabulous venue. The Fernery is in a great location, and the decor is lovely. However, our table thought the price didn't match the food or service. It's a missed opportunity.
