Jaycar Electronics Mona Vale

Great experience today. Flat battery in my car key FOB. Purchased battery and they replaced it for me. Thank you, helped a lot, my car was stuck in the neighbour TLE's driveway.

Went in today looking for soldering materials for jewellery - as this was something I wanted to try out, and the people working were so accomodating and such a great help (seeing as I was somewhat clueless.) Their friendliness and kindness in helping me pursue a new passion absolutely made my day and they were so specific in recommending different materials for a beginner !! makes such a difference :))

Mostly they are good, but sometimes the staff are ill informed and give wrong advice.

Good shop, layout is a bit confusing in finding things.

ABSOLUTE THIEVERY. Buying a GME UHF radio so went to Jaycar Mona vale. Looked at the CRS370 model which was $100+ dollars more than any other supplier in Sydney. The matching GME antennas were also near 30% dearer than most other suppliers. They wouldn't even entertain a price match with other major suppliers/ competitors like Autobarn. This is price gouging at its best, praying on unsuspecting customers as well as disgraceful behaviour.

Awesome place - electrifying in fact and generally SHOCKING service - in a great way - found exactly what I needed in a bin so so I plugged it in and it blew me circuit - highly recommended

From the minute I entered the car park I knew it would be an amazing experience. The bubble machine out the front had me absolutely sold. James a Sales Assistant was incredibly helpful, assisting me throughout the store to show me suitable phone holders for my specific needs, and a new volcano kit. Extremely helpful, fun and witty guy, providing me with a new Jaycar drink bottle! Amazing experience at Jaycar Mona Vale, highly recommend!!

This review a few months old - Manager absolutely saved my bacon - awesome guy (wish I could now remember his name!). Was looking at spending over a thousand dollars for a replacement CCTV system and a bit of testing in store determined it was power supply that just needed replacing - at a significantly lower cost. Could have taken the easy way and sold me a new system, but didn't and saved me heaps of money and the environment some more land fill waste.

I have always liked Jaycar Electronics and been a customer for many, many years. They are probably the only true electronic stores left in Australia, with physical stores, that cater for the DIY electronic enthusiast with a very large range of electronic components and kits. The other main competitor used to be DSE but they reverted to a basic box moving store when Woolworths took over many years ago. The Mona Vale store is typical of all Jaycar stores and employs very enthusiastic and knowledgeable staff who are very keen to assist. The product range is also very extensive for components and all things electronic. They often have in store promotions and unique products that make for good gifts. Parking is easy and free. Highly recommended.

I recently came to Jaycar electronics Mona Vale with an issue I had with a drone purchased from another store. Wil, the manager in charge was extremely helpful. He took time out to help me and my son with the issue and was determined to see the job through until it was fixed. Easily accessible, friendly staff. The store has a very large layout but staff know where everything is.

Extremely helpful staff, I went in for some auto electrical parts, while it not there main business they had nearly everything I needed and way cheaper than autobahn and supercheap.
