My father and I recently stayed at the Astor during a stressful time, and our experience was made so much better thanks to the incredible staff. While the rooms and restaurant were great, it was the friendly, accommodating team and their outstanding customer service that really stood out. I would definitely stay again and highly recommend it to anyone travelling to Wagga.

We booked for 5 days as having cancer treatment. The room was tiny, could hardly get into the shower as the toilet was there and the shower door opens out. The shower taps made a high pitched noise when on. The Fridge was tiny and full of cans of drink. Couldn’t put anything in the fridge door as the staff have taken the wire holder off to fit the drinks in. There is a compressor outside the tiny bathroom basin room that turns on and off constantly during the night and was so loud we couldn’t sleep. We tried to swap rooms but couldn’t. There was no microwave to heat food. One lovely bar attendant did heat some food for us. Only saucers to eat off so we bought plates. The TV was ancient. One lovely female bar attendant did heat food for us. Kids were running up and down the hallway knocking on doors at night. Eventually the staff sent a text to all customers to control their behaviour. Overall we decided to go to another motel. We will never stay there again and won’t recommend the Astor to anyone.

Great spot close to everything, just got out of hospital so they have us a ground floor room which was much appreciated.

Very disappointed, was served a piece of dry chicken swimming in a soup of vermicelli and an unpleasant sauce. Was then charged $25 for a small wine and a lemon lime and bitters.

Clean, convenient and quite. Perfect midway stop. Has basic facilities but just what’s needed for a stopover. Would recommend

3rd time staying here. Great staff, parking on site and clean comfy rooms. On site bar and food too in the heart of town. Highly recommended if you are stopping through at Wagga Wagga

It was late one evening when I assisted my friend with checking into a room. I will say, the customer service we received was truly exceptional. The staff demonstrated genuine care, provided helpful information, and offered support throughout the process. While the room itself was rather compact and had a musty odor, considering the reasonable price, it served its purpose.

Excellent location, good value for money accommodation even if the room is a little small. There's no breakfast option, which is ok. The room is equipped with a mini bar, kettle and toaster, but strangely no plates, bowls or cutlery.

Check in service was quick and excellent which is 24 Hours and the location is off Baylis street. Lots of options for food and also have their own restaurant. Room was neat and tidy with working TV and heating, however the room was smaller than I expected. Would consider staying again

Definitely will stay again .Left some clothes in room on previous visit and sent back to me promptly with no drama. Amy running the bar was outstanding made it a friendly welcoming place. Other staff attentive and very diligent in there roles. My go to place in Wagga, great location.

It was a long day from Sydney arriving very late in the evening to start a week of work in Wagga Wagga. i have forgotten her name i am so sorry and arrived on a Sunday in March. She was from the start accomodating and personable very professional and friendly. She made it easy and made me feel comfortable and that being later was not a problem. So my experience and compliments for this Motel are solely based on my interactions with this very lovely employee. on the phone while driving from Sydney i had a few stops which meant a late arrival. I was instantly at ease and thought how lovely professional and friendly and relaxed. The Astor is lucky that she naturally is a people person, calm and conscientious and an employee whose actions are genuine. In business first impressions are everything and she most definitely impressed me and should be rewarded as she is an important asset! thank u.

Visiting family and friends on a touch footy weekend, so options were a little limited. The hotel was easy to find with parking and convenient to local shopping. Staff very friendly. Comfortable room with only a few minor issues probably not relevant to most guests. Only thing I would mention, and it’s a common problem, slow Internet speed on the Wi-Fi. This is something that you cannot know until you get there. Management please just spend a few hundred dollars and fix it. Nice food in the bistro.

Great location close to all shops; friendly staff; rooms very small, bathroom extremely small. Struggled to open my suitcase, and it was a trip hazard getting up in the middle of the night, going to the bathroom.

Stayed one night while travelling. Rooms dated but clean and adequate for our needs. The standout was the restaurant. Food was delicious and the restaurant manager was fantastic. This person handled all orders spoke with patrons and was a delite to chat to. Give this lady a raise she deserves it

Looks like the Astor has turned into a “workers” place to stay during the week.|Language was bad as was the dress thought I was back in the shearing shed in the late 70,s or the Army in the 80,s very intimidating told the wife to stay in room They need a workers bar where they can chuck some straw on the floor. Very disappointing been staying here for years I ask check dates to see what works are being done in area.

Just grabbed a quick beer, but the staff were fantastic, beer cold and reasonably priced.

didn't stay there I'm a local played the pokies very quiet only ever seen 3 people or less there staff seem friendly but can't tell as they tidy the pokie room but don't offer drinks or nibblys they don't even ask if you need anything but I like it because it's quiet so no complaints from me and I've never seen the restaurant open so I can't say if it operates at all sorry

From booking, to check in to check out! a seamless journey. The apartment was excellent, fully functional kitchen with plenty of kitchen utilities. Oven, microwave good sized fridge. Bathroom equipped with a beautiful spa bath and separate shower. free wifi, The 2nd bedroom is a bonus. Balcony access for smokers, not for us but brought in a lovely breeze when the sun shone in. Huge additional bonuses are - so close to shops snd restaurants, power points for days 👍and 1 minute walk to the train station. We thank the Astor Inn team for a very enjoyable stay and highly recommend their accomodation to any travellors passing through or for coming to a special event in Wagga Wagga.

I stayed at the Astor Inn for a week in May whilst visiting my godson who is a soldier based at Kapooka. The Astor is very convenient to the railway station (I came by train from Melbourne). The reception and cleaning staff were very helpful and friendly and my room was quite comfortable and very clean. It was sometimes a bit noisy with trucks travelling along the Edwardes St (Sturt Highway) but that was outweighed by proximity to the railway station and Bayliss Street. The restaurant was very pleasant and the food was very good.

As a motel / hotel this place did its job quite well. I'd booked a cosy room and it was definitely that. I'd probably go with the term compact more than cosy though 🤔. Cosy means different things to different people so can be misleading, and maybe promising more than is delivered? Still, the room did its job. It was clean too, as was the bathroom. I had a good night's sleep here so I reckon it was a comfortable stay. There are no lifts to the rooms so if your given a room on the highest floor (that was me) you've got a good hike with your luggage. I ate at the inn too and had an enjoyable meal. The fish dish I had from the specials' board was tasty, a good size and nicely presented. Reasonably priced too. All the staff I met were fun and very helpful.

Very well located if you're arriving late in the evening or early morning on the XPT. There is a 24h concierge and they texted me the day before my arrival to check my arrival time (which was around 1am) and instructions on how to get in at that hour. Really warm and generous service at the front desk. The only thing holding this property back is the proximity of the single rooms to one another with little/no sound insulation. Cleanliness is very high, the decor is dated and you will hear quite literally everything happening in the room next to you - believe me! In any case, I recommend this place and would definitely stay here again.

The motel room was fine, clean and tidy and well equiped. The bathroom was huge and functional. The entry and hallway are not in a good state and really need some work done. There is no aircon in the hallways either so on the stinking hot day that we arrived we found no refuge there from the heat, something we desperately needed when we arrived. It took some time for the aircon in the room to cool things down. Overall the value for money was pretty low, and there are just better options close by that are better value for money

This is a nice central place to stay in Wagga, a two minute walk from the railway station, and at the bottom of the main street with its attractions. I didn't venture too far into town as most of the things I needed were in the attached hotel.
