Our unit's bathroom was lovely and clean but lacked suitable drainage in the shower. One shower and the tiles were wet; only a 3/4 length shower screen available
The hotel is pretty fine, it's nothing too fancy. The customer service is really good though, and I would stay here again given the limited options in town. The breakfast is at the next door building, which I believe is some sort of casino type of club. I'm knocking a couple stars off because my first room did not work out because the sheets were not clean and so I got another room which was.
Went here for a birthday Stay ,There was a small issue with water leaking through the roof in our room ,which resulted in our aircon not working. But the staff were so helpful and accommodating and I appreciated there flexibility giving us an option for another room, or refund, They also left me bottle of wine ,chocolate and a birthday card so very thoughtful ❤️ The only other thing is going for breakfast “included in the stay” having to wait a bit of time to be let in to the club and breakfast isn’t banquet style has limited options ,But again the staff at the club were apologetic and super kind. The beds are soft and comfy the room was clean, walking distance to Main Street, hotels and clubs ,we would stay there again, just based on how well the staff treated us and took care of us. Also handy having vending machines for late night snacks 😉 brilliant idea.
The room was very well appointed and spaciously designed. I enjoyed a very refreshing, hot shower on arrival. Loved the rain shower head! The bed was very comfy too. It was great having the nespresso machine in the room. I would love to know what brand of pods we used. It was a great coffee. Very helpful and informative staff. Will definitely book again at Accor Orange!
Dirty
Great reception - both checking in & out. Room on 3rd floor was great - very quiet.
Room was very clean, and staff were very helpful and easy parking
Always comfortable with friendly team members
Staff friendly and helpful
The location of Mercure, Orange is really good and situated next to the Ex-Servicemen’s club which is really nice for meals. The reception staff at Mercure made check in process easy. There is free on/site parking. My room was very clean and well appointed. There is tea and coffee making eg Nespresso pod machine, kettle, assorted teas, plates, bowls, cutlery, wine glasses, coffee mugs, water glasses, tea towel, sponge & detergent. In the bathroom the hand soap, body wash, shampoo & conditioner all smelt amazing. I love the added disposable coffee cups ready near the pod machine for convenience. I would definitely make this my ‘go to’ hotel when visiting Orange in the future.
Room is clean and cozy.
Both check in and check out were handled well by friendly staff. Had 2 nights at the Mercure and the first night, the weather was terrible so it was an easy choice to go to the club for dinner next door by undercover walkway. The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. The 'blackout' blinds were excellent and despite the location, the rooms are reasonably quiet.
The Mercure Hotel in Orange exceeded our expectation. The room were modern, comfy and clean. Rooms were quiet and pleasant. Could not hear any local traffic noises. Friendly staff at the reception. Plenty of onsite parking. Next door to Ex-Serviceman Club for meals. In walking distance to shops. Highly recommended
Thank you Mercure Orange for a great stay over Christmas. The room was clean, comfortable and well appointed, good onsite parking and we loved the little Christmas packs, thank you. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The Coffee Shop at the Orange Ex-Services’ Club was just a short little walk for a toastie and cold drink and Dirty Janes was right next door and had great coffee and with an excellent store full of vintage and antique items.
Room was well serviced, large and modern. Staff were friendly, the location is central to most things in Orange
I stayed for 1 night on a business trip. I found that the power points next to the bed were to low, I was unable to plug my CPAP machine in. I had to move the bed nest to the door, to be able to sleep. Otherwise, the room was clean and tidy, easy access to the club for a meal.
Great location but noisy
Great hotel to stay.
I have stayed at quite a few Accor groups and the service experienced at Mercure Orange was the worst so far, even below a 2 star motel standard. 1. I asked reception what the gym hours were and was told the gym was just nearby and to go look and see for myself. 2. I was part of a group and we had breakfast included with our booking. We arrived at 7:30 when it was restaurant was opened and nothing was set up or ready at all for breakfast. We had a long wait before we could even get some yogurt, cereal or toast, let alone our hot breakfast. We came for breakfast the following day and ensured firstly, we made a reservation, secondly that we would arrive a bit later to so around 7:45-8am. Again, nothing much was set up, we were told they did not serve cereal although there were several cereal options served the day before. When we push the front staff to check, they then brought out granola and yogurt but there were no bowls or spoons to have them with and the debacle continues. The staff kept saying they were new or they were not told about our booking although the tables had our group signs on them. It is definitely not up to the Accor standard that it even happened the first time but for it to happen two days in a row is just bad service. It is a shame as the location and rooms are lovely but the service was so disappointing that it has really affected our experience and views of the Mercure brand.
Nice clean hotel. Looks to be a converted drivein Motel, which has been renovated. Only 2 negatives were that i) the Pub next door has live music on Saturdays, which I could hear quite clearly from my bed, ii) Internet is really really slow (0.7Mbps), basically 1% the speed of your mobile phone. Otherwise good service and clean rooms, which is all that really matters.
Comfy bed, awesome staff. Rooms a bit noisy from other guests though walls but lucky I had ear plugs. Great location.
Very good
Room half cleaned before our arrival. Bed was made but bathroom was not touched by the cleaners. There was also used milk etc in the fridge. The staff were amazing to rectify the issue and moved us to a clean, sorted room. Would have been a 5 star review if the room was sorted. Such a shame. We would stay here again though. The staff over the phone, when booking and on the night were so friendly and helpful.
Pro’s: location. The hotel is near to the main street so you can walk to a number of restaurants and shops. The bed was comfortable and the pillows weren’t bloated neck-breakers so I didn’t miss having my own pillow. The room isn’t huge but it’s sufficient for 1 or 2. Con’s: the room I had was literally in a stairwell. I was worried I would get a lot of passer-by noise but it wasn’t weekend and the place was full of workers. The decor felt a little tired but neat enough. 7 out of 10.
Great having the free EV charging. Took a bit of worry out of the local touring and departure day travel in our EV tour of country NSW.
Let’s start with the good here. The staff were friendly and welcoming and the rooms were large and quiet with large TVs. On the downside, the beds were okay, but the finer details were a little lacking. For example, the soap dispenser in the shower was empty. I ordered some BBQ wings from room service (provided by the club in the same building), which had actually been thrown in a deep fryer, not BBQ at all. The breakfast was solid. Overall not a disaster, but could be improved with a few minor tweaks
Group Booking, staff were very Helpful and a delight to deal with
Great location, very clean & comfortable rooms, friendly, helpful staff. We were upgraded to a suite, which was very much appreciated. The heating works really well, a must for the Orange climate. Loved having The Greenhouse right next door!
The room fit out was great. Everything you need for a short stay in a clean comfortable room and bathroom. The sound proofing was terrible and I don't think it was great value for money. The Mecure Orange is classed as 4 star hotel but it is more of a motel style. I could hear every footstep from the room above and the plumbing every time they flushed the toilet. The sound proofing was so bad, it felt like the window was open as I could hear conversations in the car park, car doors closing and the cars driving past the hotel. Reception staff are friendly and helpful but I left with a bad feeling as House keeping was about to enter my room with a group of trainees the morning I was checking out, well before 10am and check out was 12pm
Convenient spot. Good meeting rooms at club.
So happy with our spacious, clean room and comfy bed. The location of this is excellent and breakfast at the Diggers was amazing - such a surprise. Great customer service all round (especially Bindi at the Diggers who made the best coffees ever at breakfast). Parking is tight for big cars, but we were lucky to get a great spot opposite reception - taxis for us after that. Loads to do in Orange, a great stay and I would definitely book here again.
UPS and DOWNS Nice hotel, lots of minor issue just to daunt and upset you
Just returned from our fourth stay in two years at the Mercure Hotel in Orange...and really that says it all. We wouldn't be staying at the same place every time if we weren't getting the best value for money in Orange. From check-in to check-out we are treated like VIP's.
Staying for work for a number of nights per week for a number of weeks. Staff are always welcoming, friendly and efficient. Conveniently located adjacent to the Orange Ex Services Club
Definitely a lovely hotel which I was not expecting to find in Orange. A must if you are looking for modern, comfy, stylish and warm accommodation, with friendly service from Bridget.
Room was modern, spacious & clean. Bed was very comfortable. Amenities were good, staff were very helpful & friendly
Second visit to this hotel and it was a complete let down in its cleanliness..rates are way too high in what was a very filthy room. Spoke to reception to get this looked at and nothing was attended to. Dust mould cobwebs and hair throughout the room.
We stayed for two nights and the room was noticeably dirty on arrival . Cobwebs above the bed head, dust in light fittings and power points. Empty tissue box. The bathroom had mould and dust hair in the shower grill. So obvious it had not been properly cleaned. The next morning I asked reception to please clean. When we returned later that day they only had made the bed and no attempt to clean. No fresh towels and had to go and ask for them and bring them up ourselves. On check out we told the receptionist that we wouldn’t come back here as we had given them the opportunity to make good the first day. Instead her response was sorry about that. This was our second stay at the hotel and it was a great disappointment.
We were given a room meant for disabled access. I wonder if this was because we had not booked directly with them. There was no demarcation between wet and dry area in the bathroom so it got messy pretty quickly. And the room was in a dark corner almost of the motel. Just disappointing. Additionally it had two single beds when we had asked for a Queen bed
We were happy with our room. Centrally located, quiet, warm, easy parking and supplied face washers, which seems to have become uncommon these days. Very nice reception staff too. The room heating is quite noisy and it would be really handy to put up hooks in both the bathroom and bedroom areas. They’re just so handy when travelling. Shower caps would be useful also.
Very responsive to emails. Very accommodating and staff were helpful and polite. Highly recommended!
I received fast service, clean rooms, parking near the room, I really like it here.
This is one of the BEST if not THE BEST Motel in Orange.|Annexed to the EX-Servicemens Club, means there is covered access & eggress into the Club/Mercure via the club car park (matters if it's cold & raining).|The wife & I had a One Bedroom fully self contained Suite (No 414). This suite had the biggest bathroom with a large corner Spa bath & as a huge plus included Double Showers.|There's No Drink & drive if you stay here, simply wine & dine in the Club or across the Rd at the adjacent classy Pub.|We went Out to Orange for The Orange Cup Race Meeting & The Mercure was our first winner simply by staying there.

The bedrooms were nice and well kept, and the beds were comfortable, though, the pillows were a bit too soft. A nice bathroom and shower too. The staff were courteous and attentive, but parking was a problem as we would arrive back to the hotel for the day to a full car park, possibly overflow from the Orange ex service club next door. A great location and within walking distance to the centre of town.
Very good Would recommend
The Mercure Orange possibly has the friendliest staff in Australia. Helpful, friendly, good local knowledge and go above and beyond!
We stayed at Mercure Orange for 3 nights in a Deluxe Suite (1 Queen bed and 2 Single beds). Staff are friendly and helpful and check in/check out was easy and fast. We stayed in room 318 which was situated on the 1st floor at the front of the hotel. The room was spacious with everything you need to make your stay comfortable even a Nespresso coffee machine. The balcony was large and overlooked Byng St and shared with other rooms. The bed was comfortable and the shower had great water pressure with a waterfall head or detachable head. Housekeeping kept the room clean even on weekends. Plenty of space to hang clothes and store luggage. Breakfast was served at the cafe at the Orange Ex Services club that is accessible from the hotel. Parking is outside on the lower level, there are stairs or a lift to 1st floor. Overall a fabulous stay in Orange and Mercure will be our go to hotel when we return.
Great service -friendly staff -comfortable rooms
Stay there on work trips, clean, good price, friendly staff.
Not at all soundproofed..we could hear my neighbour like he was sitting next to me..bathroom was not clean.bottom half of tiles had filthy grout..no body wash.no shampoo.
Fantastic spot relative to town , right next to the Club , And The Club Food is amazing
A comfortable hotel in a fantastic position. Close to town centre, restaurants and attractions.
Visited Orange to experience the regions wineries and National Parks. Stayed in a King Room and found both the staff and the facilities to be of the highest standard considering the hotel itself is of an older style.
Great Staff, clean and comfortable room and fantastic location
Pretty disappointing - room had no useable window, aircon was so noisy you couldn’t use it at night. Fridge was in a cupboard with no ventilation so was super hot. No water provided. Well located and generally clean, but felt expensive for what you got.
Staff at Mercure are amazing. Was in town for a family funeral and the two lovely ladies on reception went out of their way to make me feel welcome and comfortable. Catering and room service is provided by tbe Orange ExServices Club next door but do yourself a favour and dine elsewhere. The food at OESC is dreadful but the hotel replaced and comped the charge for an awful breakfast. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
We called to see if we could get into our room a little earlier , this was not a problem at all , we were welcomed and given our room key . The 2 bedroom apartment was extremely well presented , very spacious and very clean . We were extremely happy with this place . Would highly recommend . The staff on all occasions on the phone and in person where all lovely .
Stayed here for a week with my son for a event, for the hotel to be excellent. Nicely refurbished room and bathroom. Water oressure was great. The hotel is linked to the RSL making it very affordable for accor members for meals etc. Walking distance to the center on town. Staff were great and very helpful.
Good option for a short stay when visiting Orange, NSW. Location is convenient. Staff are very friendly and professional.
Set the air con to 25 degrees came back and it WAS FREEZING in winter in orange, NO HELP from the staff, slept fully clothed, This happened twice 4 weeks apart. decided to never book ACCOR again for business or private
Had 3 nights here in a triple room. Nice and clean, easy check in and good sized rooms. Attached to the ex servo club means you can pop in for a quick drink, feed or a cheeks slap. Staff were great. My son left his phone charger at home and they lent one for the stay.
Stayed in balcony room 301 which has a lovely private outdoor space. Bed comfortable, lights were good for reading and mood. The diggers was good for breakfast and dinner. Rain shower and provided soap and shampoo was good. Nespresso machine hoof and a couple more coffee pods would be good. Thank the team for service.
Jenny at reception was an absolute professional. She accommodated all of our requests and her customer service was exceptional. The room was spacious and clean (well stocked with coffees, teas, biscuits and a mini-bar). The hotel is centrally located in town.
Mattress appalling and charged for minimal items that were never used.
We stayed 2 nights in the King room. Staff were friendly and helpful, bed was very comfortable, rooms were big enough, great water pressure in the shower and large bathroom. Room was also very clean
The bed was super comfortable and the room was lovely.
The Mercure Orange is well located for using the wonderful regional gallery and museum in Orange. The rooms are comfortable though some of the fittings could do with a bit of maintenance ( e.g. toilet seat and paper holder, and shower fitting). Rather below the standard we have come to appreciate in the Mercure hotels, and Accor generally, were the arrangements for breakfast and dinner where the provider is the Ex-Services Club. The quality of the food was poor and the ambience was noisy and rather rough and ready.
I booked 2 nights to stay at the Mercure orange to celebrate an anniversary. While booking and availability were very smooth and pleasing, i however, was a bit shaken that upon checking in to our room, we found Spiders and a huge spider web along the corner of the window. The front desk staff were very understanding as we rushed down stairs and I was in so much fear that I refused to go back to the room. They still accommodated to us and offered to move us to another room with a bottle of bubbly wine. However, the following day, we received a phone call advising us that the room was cleaned and we shall move back after we were settled in, in which I refused. I haven’t had such a bad, horrific experience in any of our past stays with any of the Accor accommodations and the fact that the cleaning was lacking is not so hygienic, quite concerning and definitely doesn’t reflect a good image on our decision to stay with Accor accommodations in the future. Breakfast was another story, front desk told us that the chef didn’t show up for the morning and directed us to go somewhere else. Not sure if the place where we were supposed to have breakfast at had one chef on site or what’s the story. But anyways, we ended up canceling the breakfast for our second day and had a lovely feed somewhere else. Definitely not staying there anymore and will be warning family and friends of the place. I sent my feed back directly to Accor’s CEO and not even an automated response was received.
Stayed for a week. Reception staff friendly and welcoming. Helpful all through my stay.
Suited us down to the ground right next door to the venue everything we needed highly recommended.
stayed as my daughter was having a wedding reception at the green house.
Check in is fine. The hotel was very busy, and there were no parking spots left on-site (apparently you can park in the club next door, but we just parked in street out the front). |We had a room on the top floor. It was a nice room, with everything you need. Large TV. Coffee machine, but with only two pods. Fridge with a few snacks for purchase. The orientation of the windows meant looking into the windows of the neighbouring room and the backyards of the adjacent businesses - just keep the blinds closed. Downside was the in-room crockery, which was not clean. Didn't use the wifi. The bathroom is good - liked the rain shower.|Check out was efficient.|We'd stay again.
