The food was great but unfortunately for the apparent “status” of this restaurant, the service was disappointing, especially the manager at the front reception.
Bad service don’t let a customer stand there with out saying anything, hello would be nice ,two bar men behind the bar one putting stock away, the other making a cocktail, the stock can wait costumer should be served first
Came to the star for a birthday, and had such a bad first impression of the 19 as myself and some friends entered to scope out the bar, were greeted with two staff who gave us such an attitude, no customer service, and just bad vibes because of I’m guessing the fact we look young and they had to check our id. As someone paying a high price to stay at the star, this was pretty disappointing as we should be treated with the same respect as every other customer who enters.. However upon return for dinner my opinion was quickly changed as the service was lovely, our server Micheal was such a good host, and all of the food and drinks were delicious. A special mention to the oysters and fish!
Luxury and private vibes. Nice detailed service. T bone steak is highly recommended on my experience. Nothing to complain based on the restaurant side While have to arrive early enough to find a parking spot if u drive there. Pacific Fair maybe a easy choice for parking if u r a visitor not familiar nearby
The view is epic, tainted however by the terrible service. Bar staff were very rude and judgemental. There is no need to be like that,
My graduation dinner was a beautiful event in their private dining area, which is both elegant and inviting. My guests and I were very pleased with the service, especially Charlie, who did an excellent job. If I could, I would happily do it all over again.
Spritz Saturdays At Nineteen At The Star, share menu and endless spritz from 4-7pm, great service thank you Andria & Moh @nineteenatthestar
Addendum 25/10/24 Our second visit for another birthday dinner was extremely disappointing. Service was almost non-existent with water glasses not refilled, we weren’t asked if we would like to order wine to accompany our meals, we weren’t asked if there had been a problem with the Scotch 300g even though so many pieces of chewy gristle were left on the plate, we also weren’t asked if we would like to order desert & we had to walk to find a staff member to be able to see & settle our bill after waiting so long at our table for service. Not sure what has happened since our last visit but this will be our last. 24/3/24 This review relates to a birthday dinner in March. We were both very impressed with the decor - including comfortable chairs (so important but often overlooked). Our waiter was so welcoming and lovely - he even lent us his reading glasses for the menu! Our meals were superb (oysters + steak to follow). The only down side for us was that we couldn’t linger as we were taking in a show. This is the only true fine dining restaurant that we have attended on the GC.
We hosted our valued clients for dinner at Nineteen at The Star on October 29th, but the experience was disappointing. The service was slow, and our order was mixed up. The menu lacked shareable appetisers, and the steaks were mediocre—6 out of 10—with one being completely inedible (1 out of 10). My steak was burnt on the outside and raw inside, despite ordering it medium. Due to the late hour and slow service, there wasn’t time to remake it. No apologies were offered, and it was still included in the bill. With a total bill over $1,000 AUD for six people with no alcohol ordered, we expected better. That said, breakfast was a completely different experience—fast service, a pleasant atmosphere, and delicious food. So, while dinner is a definite no for me, breakfast is a strong yes.
We had the Eye Fillet which was basically burnt and the broccoli and pumpkin sides were bland, think the salt went in my girlfriend’s margarita. Would have been 1 star for the food at those prices had it not been for the mash, that was unreal. Service was ok but quite cold, not sure if they’re allowed to smile. One of the waitresses was nice, though.
I came to Nineteen a few weeks ago with my boyfriend for breakfast, and we had a pleasant morning. The coffees were tasty, but the highlight for me was the Southern buttermilk biscuits, which were delicious!
It seemed like Eddie wasn’t very keen on serving Asian guests. He appeared quite impatient throughout our visit but very nice to the guest on next table, and when we asked for the bill, he just tossed the receipt and pen onto the table. There was no “thank you” after we paid either—really impressive attitude! Didn’t expect to spend $400 and receive this kind of service.
Beautiful venue, great for drink with friends
Great views, service and food. Went perfect
Booked the pool side booth for my man's 30th bday for him and his boys and they said it was the best service they've had in Qld ever! The staff were helpful and attentive and super friendly. Organising the VIP package with Brittany was also fantastic. Definitely will do it again.
Horrible, ..the taste horrible, don't cooked, horrible
I dined at the Nineteen restaurant on the 3rd of October with my girlfriend. The food and service was great until both my girlfriend and I experienced severe symptoms of gastro and vomiting. Both myself and my girlfriend were unable to attend our workplaces the next day. I called the Star number (1800 074 344) on the 4th of October at 9:07am to advise staff and to question if any other patrons had advised of similar conditions. The lady on the phone tried to contact the restaurant to which no one answered. She told me that someone would call me back. I did receive a strange missed call at 3:43pm from (07 5592 8783) but no message or option to call back. I called the 1800 number again at 7:23pm on the 04.10.24 to which a young man answered the phone via a short mumble which he then attempted to connect me to the restaurant. The transfer rang through with no answer which is dissapointing considering this is supposed to be a up market dining experience. It is a shame as I have dined at this establishment many times with no issues. I eventually received a call some days later to state they had no complaints but received no apology or consideration.
Discover the ultimate escape, perched 19 stories above the Gold Coast, where sweeping coastal vistas and mesmerizing sunsets set the scene for a perfect evening sip. The dining experience is also worth it. This menu set is perfect for those looking for a lighter, yet fulfilling option for a peaceful night.
Went here to take my partner’s parents to dinner. Terrible service, was rushed to order soon as we sat down. Then got told we had to leave by 7:30 we’d been seated at 5:45. Food took ages to come out as-well as drinks. There was 5 of us only 2 of us ordered mains the rest ordering entrees, as well as some sides to share. Was never offered a dessert menu to even look at. The waitress kept hovering around trying to clear plates as quickly as possible. Whole thing felt very rushed and food was nothing special. We’ve been here before for dinner and it was a much better experience food wise and service wise. Went to get the bill and they wouldn’t accept my star membership card even though our whole group are members I had 100 casino dollars on my card which I was going to put towards the bill, however the waitress wouldn’t let me do that or even gain the points for paying the bill, my card also grants a 20% discount at the stars multiple restaurants and bars and that was also disregarded. My partner and I spend a fair bit of money at the casino and are quite regular. Thought we’d be looked after a bit better. Apparently there policy had changed all of a sudden, and that only a group of four or less can get the discount. I should’ve booked two separate tables and dragged them together my partner and I have the same tier card. Very disappointed, I think it’s quite obvious the casino is undergoing financial troubles, how that is possible is beyond me it’s a casino after all. Won’t be back in a hurry.
Best steak ever; sirloin on bone; these chefs know their stuff!
Food was super delicious! Especially the desserts left us extremely satisfied, pana cotta was the best I have ever tried! Service could be better, as we weren’t asked how we enjoyed our food or drinks even once… Atmosphere was great, the booth tables by the window create nice private space to enjoy your dinner. Set dinner menu filled us up and was very fairly priced! Would come back.
Been There Twice Spectacular Restaurant Service Is Top Class & The Food Was Amazing Will Be Back….
Place is good but staff there especially our waiter he wasn’t very patient and was just rushing us to finish our dinner , we went there on the 1st of Oct For my partner’s birthday , so it was really disappointing to be treated like we’re not paying customers , didn’t even get a nice welcome when we walked not very friendly team , and just the fact that we felt like all eyes were on us , felt a bit looked down upon , on the positive side food is great ,
My experience at Nineteen at The Star was unforgettable. Michael provided outstanding service, going the extra mile to ensure we felt taken care of. When the rain ruined my original proposal plan, he swiftly accommodated my request and helped create a memorable moment. And the food? Absolutely incredible—definitely a 100/100. You have to try it!
Everything was perfect, great flavours, and extremely fresh produce. Such a nice service from our waiter as well, and really good ambience, 10/10 experience.
What a superb place to celebrate a friends birthday. The food here is absolutely delicious. From entrees to dessert this restaurant exceeded my expectations. The staff were really friendly and so helpful. They were very knowledgeable and offered excellent recommendations. We would definitely come back again.
It was the final night of my Gold Coast trip, I was downstairs at The Atrium Bar, and I decided to go upstairs to The Ninteenth at The Star. Had a great time up there listening to the music and dancing, and the view outside was amazing!! I’ll be going back here when I’m on a future Gold Coast trip.
Un restaurante que no está nada mal. El precio no es barato. La calidad muy buena. Los platos son de diseño. Un lugar tranquilo dentro del casino del Hotel The Star. La atencion es muy profesional y personalizada.
The guys here were amazing, had the best omelet I've eaten in years. You'll enjoy visiting them!
We enjoyed a lovely breakfast at Nineteen! Staff on the days were very friendly and cheerful The crab omelette is a must try! So good! French toast looked so pretty and tasted wonderful! Great coffee too!!
They canceled my reservation 30 min before
Oooh, what a night! Celebrating our anniversary midweek at Level 19 was an experience worth every moment. The atmosphere was simply perfect, and the service was top-notch. The food was truly next level – the set menu was a delight, with each dish surpassing the last. The caviar starter is highly recommended and added a touch of elegance to our evening. And let's not forget the cocktails – they were exceptional, expertly crafted, and perfectly complemented our meal. Great atmosphere, great service, exquisite cuisine, and fantastic cocktails – Level 19 made our special night unforgettable.
I just love Nineteen at The Star. It's such a wonderful venue, and the standard of service is excellent.
Disappointed with their service. From the reception greetings to the reserved table. Yesterday was my birthday, my husband booked the table in advance at 6 pm. We reached there on time, and they haven't prepared anything. No menus and cutlery at all, while others table have everything. I asked the receptionist who sent us to the table is it possible to change a table. She said others table all reserved. Then a waitress who will come and serve us. We waited for more than 10 mins. While all others table had food menu, but still noone noticed we had nothing. After we ordered the food, the waiter said the food too much couldn't fit the table. Food are beautiful especially the duck breast with the crispy skin, the side of veg and the roasted pumpkin which made my day. But their service is below average. The vinegar can be adjusted for the oyster and yellow tail king fish.
A real pleasure
Really great restaurant, the meal is still a topic of conversation weeks later. Great selection, very tasty and good wine menu. Staff were excellent, attentive and friendly. Was good to hear that they are using sustainable produce from Australian Bay Lobster Producers from down the road in Kingscliff 🦞
Great spot ❤️❤️❤️
belle emplacement
As usual what an experience to dine at Nineteen at The Star. Trent is truly hard to pass as one of the best hosts that one could have. He truly manages the team so well it makes our experience wonderful. Our waiter Frank was very professional too and a pleasure to converse with. We are here on the Gold Coast for 6 weeks and we will be returning weekly over that time. Great work Trent. The Star is lucky to have you there. Compliments to the chefs too. Meals are amazing.
From sunset sips to extraordinary service and quality fine dining with absolutely stunning surrounds. Adore it. Love bringing special moments here with friends. Thank you team 🍸❤️ You never disappoint xx
We had an amazing time
Great venue, with an area for special, private, functions.
Love it. Would drive from Brisbane down just to have breakfast there.
Absolutely fabulous place, we had our 27th wedding anniversary here and I had a lot of dietary restrictions so was very hesitant to go out, but so glad I did. Nineteen at the Star made me feel comfortable and went out of there way to make my night special even when we were about to leave they presented a lovely plant based chocolate cake I could eat with happy anniversary on the plate. Thank you to all the staff and wonderful kitchen for my amazing experience. Not five star but nineteen star.
Excellent service for delicious food. A fine dining grill that is luxurious. The sides were as equally delicious as the steak.
Thank you to Michael for the amazing service. Everything was amazing from drinks to entree, main and dessert cannot recommend enough. 10/10
What a treat, fine dining at its best, everything seasoned well, perfect portion sizes, attentive but relaxed service, well spaced tables, fine ambiance. Special thanks to Amber for looking after us and special mentions were the wild mushroom risotto and chocolate meringue pie. wow Absolutely to die for !
We came here to celebrate our wedding anniversary and our respective brother and sisters 50th Birthdays and it was outstanding! The service was impeccable and the food (particularly the rib eye steak) was amazing. I was surprised to see the bill wasn’t as big as one would expect for all that was provided. Thank you for making this night one to remember!
Extremely homophobic Was part of a large hens party the girls in target short shorts and cowgirl hats from stacks were more than welcome but as the only male in Lee shorts and a linen shirt I was told no Never felt more of a problem - the bald guy in the orange suit needs needs training
Food is crazy good View is nice, all in all though, defs not the best rooftop bar. It's aight. Probs wouldn't go back but was cool
We went to the spritzer and oyster afternoon and it should have said they would be mock tails! A group of 30 paying customers and we had the area to fit 10 people comfortably! I got 3 oysters, one arrancini ball and a few chips! Watching them make the spritzers and there was 2cm cordial, one cm Prosecco and5cm Soda water. So although the drinks were constant after about 10 I may have consumed one glass of Prosecco! Very disappointing afternoon! Don’t waste your money on the deal of $79 per person!
Went there before and it was good service decided to return for my birthday dinner. Walk out disappointed. End up getting things myself and pouring my own drink as staff was not paying attention to customers. Unhappy staff can always ruined the night.
We visited the Nineteen for our wedding anniversary, & were so impressed. Dinner was beautiful, the view was fabulous, but best of all was the service by the lovely Nicola, - impeccable! We'll be back again soon. Thank you for a great experience! - Pam.
I thought we were going somewhere classy but I was wrong. Loud, entitled, ill-mannered couple spoiled my 70th birthday breakfast. Talked/laughed loudly on phone with loudspeaker for entire time we were there. Grabbed chair out of waiter's hand and sat down as we were shown to table and waiter backed away and said nothing?? Unbelievably nothing was said to this couple about their obnoxious behavior . We were the only two tables occupied so it was really obvious how loud they were. We were going to have a second coffee but couldn't put up with these fools another second. Maybe these entitled morons came every day for breakfast and they let them get away with it. Disappointing. (also windows were really dirty)
This restaurant’s management has lost complete sight of the fact that it is a hospitality venue and regrettably its waiters are affected very negatively, on the night we visited they were stressed arrogant and not nice to have around. Rushed, rude & unacceptable service. Do yourself a favour, give it a miss.
GO If you to celebrate or show off the view. Food always good(with GREAT steaks)and fair priced. Breakfast and lunch are also nice. You should enjoy yourself if you go.

My husband and I love this restaurant, our favourite 😍
Great DJ's and the venue is very nice
Love your Kiwami! Although I wish you have more selections of sauce. Everything else was amazing. Thank you!
Pretty happy with my breakfast here. I ordered crab omlette and poached egg on toast with sausages and bacon. The crab omlette was so fluffy .Everything was good, the coffee was bitter but when I add more milk it was fine. The view was magnificent, quite worth the money. Staff were friendly and fast and efficient.
I thought our booking was for 7pm. My mistake. I got a call from concierge at 6.30pm asking if I was still attending our 6.00pm booking. Oops. Lucky we were just parking. They kindly and thankfully kept our booking and extended our sitting until 8.00pm. This place is brilliant. Amazing views of both the Broadbeach skyline and beach, as well as the open kitchen. Had the duck gnocchi for entree. Best gnocchi I’ve ever tasted and the shredded duck was delicious. Our mains consisted of the Patagonian Toothfish and scotch fillet, with sides of seasonal greens and leaf salad. Both meals were cooked to perfection. Tender juicy steak and perfectly cooked fish. Dessert was the cheesecake and pistachio cake. A brilliant meal. Excellent service. Thank you to Amber who looked after our table. Looking forward to our next visit.
Away from the chaos downstairs. 19 sits in luxury. Oysters, Steak with fries and broccolini were perfectly presented. Desert of the Christmas Pavlova was delight. Service was friendly efficient and slick. A memorable dinner. Bottom line $330 including tip for 2 Prefect evening.
Exceptional service as always. Best restaurant on the Gold Coast. Fresh seafood, no one can match the seafood platter. And they serve my favourite champagne 🍾.
Worst experience of the year goes to this place. Being forced to finish our meals in a 20 minute window. While the chefs still didn’t deliver the right cooking stage of the meat. We were told to cancel our dessert because we couldn’t meet the time frame. Very expensive food for foamy potato.
Booked for a special evening, from the get-go at the reception of the restaurant, they told us we only have the table until 7:30pm - okay understandable. Got served to the table, waiter pouring water informed us once again that our table is only until 7:30pm. Thanks for informing us and making us feel unwelcomed and rushed. Food very average and not very flavorful - could be due to them rushing our food and getting us out. Drinks came out after 15-20mins of waiting. Would not go back again.
The best ace to be for a party
Nineteen is an excellent option for a special breakfast or a romantic dinner. 😊
The food was really good, but the service was absolutely rubbish. We were told to rush our meals and was blamed by the waiter that it was my fault for getting a well done steak which took 50mins. We were also told we couldn’t have our dessert. Every 10mins the waiter would come to us and ask us to hurry it up. It just disappointing. I would never come back here. Shame!
❤️ A superb Gem and a Must visit❤️Took two young adult children who absolutely loved it ❤️ The menu was clear - each dish made to order .. and delicious ❤️ Service exemplary and friendly ❤️ The terrace and pool beds so fun with stunning of views of the city at night ❤️ So much to love at Nineteen ❤️A class Act ❤️ I can see why the celebs love it! ❤️
My wife and I went to 19 to celebrate our wedding anniversary and frankly, it was disappointing. Everything was barely average - food, service, decor, except for the price, of course. Very expensive for that level of experience. Is Simon (Gloftis) still running this place? I find it hard to believe that he is. We were just laughing and shaking our heads by the end of it. You have to stay positive when celebrating your anniversary, right? Oh, and when we arrived at the Star, the parking was all full and we were directed to the Convention Centre! You mean a restaurant like 19 can't even guarantee parking for its guests?!
