Dining

Molly Malone, the youngest daughter of fishmongers Patrick and Colleen, is a beloved Irish figure said to have lived in Dublin in the 19th century. Legend has it that her beauty was unmatched, making her untimely death at the age of 17 a tragedy for the village. The local pubs stayed open around the clock for three days to mourn her passing!

I went the first night and had the salmon and it was amazing 👏. Loved every bit of it. I went back today in hopes the feather and sea was on the menu and i was in luck so I had that for lunch and I was not disappointed. Waited over 5 min to be seated today with bar staff noticing I was standing there so I went to the bar to ask if I could be seated (there is a sign please wait to be seated). On both occasions I had to go to bar to ask if that's where I payed my bill after waiting at my table for a lengthy time. No other complaints, food outstanding, pub is lovely and welcoming. Put it on your list to try.

This is an Irish Pub. As far as I know it is not a hotel. Go there hungry! I had the half portion of fish and chip. Wao! it was two large pieces of fry Barabundi. I can only imagine the full portion.

Food here was worth the price

We had lunch here today, and my partner had the pork, and I had salt and pepper squid. We both enjoyed the meals and the staff were fantastic. Will definitely come back for another meal here.

Had a great Irish stew served by friendly staff. Thanks all

Stunning pub. Great food. Staff were fantastic.

We had dinner here as a last hurrah on our holiday to Tassie. Wow, this place is a must! Great, taste and hot meals, great staff and good prices. The meals were huge and we all had trouble finishing them...and I even ordered the half roast of the day! Would recommend stopping at this pub for a pint and or a meal when in Devonport!!

I don't remember going here but google reckons.

Good food but the wine 🍷 prices are very steep. Service was professional and friendly.

Great meals in the heart of Devonport

Fantastic pub dinner. Shepherds pie was divine. Roast of the day and wraps very generous. The chicken snitzels are a bit small.

We went for Christmas dinner. The staff were amazing and very polite and welcoming. The food was so delicious and so much extras that we couldn't even eat. A huge arrangement of set menu and buffet foods. Prices were very fair. We parked at the nearby paid car park which was very cheap.

Good pub food and Guinness

food was good, stopped eating there for a few years due to getting a steak that was half blue/well done so was plesently surprised with there new menu when invited to eat with friends last weekend

Best place in town for a 2 course Sunday roast.

We stopped in here for a quick pint and a snack. I had a pint of Guinness and it was the best poured Guinness I’ve had in years, so creamy and delicious. For eats we shared the Nachos, omg again the best Nachos we’ve had in years, really well made, plenty of ingredients and properly baked in the oven so nice and hot. Way better than I’ve had in melb for a long time. Keep up the work guys. Update: we stopped in again at the end of our two week Tassie holiday before we boarded the Spirit of Tasmanian. I have to say the Guinness here was the best I had on our entire trip, even better than at Salamanca. Had to have the nachos again and also the Cesar Salad with chicken. Guys keep up the great work and we will be definitely back when we return to travel the west coast, until then 😘.

Great roast and range of desserts. Friendly helpful staff. Street parking only, unless you opt the paid parking station adjacent.

Only dined here beautiful meals had roast lunch should have ordered small serve as large was huge food was lovely

Haven't been for a,while as was food wasn't the best, thought we would try again but definitely won't be back, had the twice cooked pork belly and vegetarian lasagne both meal very below average, don't waste you money as you will end up leaving it.

Was not feeling very well so cannot give an honest answer.

Food was lovely and good portions. Friendly staff

Great food and drinks, would definitely recommend and worth the price.

Service was slow but the food was nice

Gaming room, hard to find any staff for help.... get drinks, money and help

Haven't been for a long time so we went for lunch today. Went for their lunch menu with 3 different prices. We both had garlic bread which was fine. Then had serve of fish with chips. Didn't realise they don't serve any salad with it would have to order separately. Fish itself was nice but the batter was quite thick and overcooked. Fries were nice. I think for the price they could have put a bit of salad on plate. Hubby had dessert of apple crumble and icecream which he enjoyed.

Friendly staff, great food options, great Guinness...lovely atmosphere...can really recommend...

Pork belly was just fat and no actual pork unfortunately Steak was decently cooked

Not worth one star Appears to employ rude arrogant staff. No respect for patrons!

My favorite place to eat, great food and customer service. The mushroom gravy is the best you can get and the salt and pepper calamari is amazing. Great sized meals and nice wood fire on the cold days.

Great food, service and atmosphere

Food was ok nothing special and for me it was expensive for pub grub. Nothing very Irish about it either.

Nice pub in close proximity to everything.

Ordered a half serve of a chicken schnitzel didn’t expect it to be processed chicken cut in half one piece of broccoli and one piece of cauliflower and mashed potato that looked like it was a week old. Very disappointed.

Great place to wait for Spirit of Tasmania. Dedicated Motorcycle parking accross rd. Good food ..

Played at Molly Malones for the Devenport Jazz Festival 2024. Great ambience. Can't say much about room as I didn't stay there. My group just played there. All up a pretty good pub.

Food was good and service was fine, but it lacked any vibe. We will try again, maybe over the weekend 😶😶

Great service friendly staff, great pub meals. Great place to go n meet up with family n friends.

Food is over priced

Great place for a meal

Excellent service and Good Guinness...

Staff was rude and aggressive. Not going ever again.

Staff was very aggressive and very racist. Staff accuse us stealing others money without talking to us first and knowing the truth. After they checked the camera they found out they were wrong but did not appologise. Staff definitely did not knew how to treat the patron and had anger issue.

Excellent food, good service. Definitely will be back.

Roast of the day huge

Make sure you check your receipt when paying here. Paid for the meals, including gin and tonics. Got a phone call shortly after leaving stating we hadn't paid for the tonic for the drinks, requesting we return and pay. Only place i know of where you have to pay separately for the mixer.

Beer lines need a clean. Ordered the half parmi over the bar. Pretty average for twenty something bucks. L Lady at the bar was friendly.

Great service from the moment we walked into the bar, ventured into the back for meals and once again great service. Meals were very good, enjoyed all we ordered. Little kids running through the place screaming was a put off but I guess the parents dont care about others dining out. Not what I expected in an irish bar, apart from that, all good. Totally recommend coming here. Leave your kids at home or think about others around you!

Its your usual pub food. Friendly cstaff

Quiet drink. Clean. Friendly vibe. Very clean. Definitely go back for a meal.

For the price, the Accomadtion was certainly not bad.

Amazingly generous proportion size! I can't tell you how full I felt at the end. So nice to have Kilkenny on tap, as it is best that way. I had the pork ribs which were succulent. So many nice items on the menu that I am sure to come again. Engaging wait staff who cared

Only veg option was a tasteless lasagna with a side salad that had bacon pieces in it no apology will never go back

great family friendly Irish pub. Trivia on Tuesday is fun

Good pub to visit. Met ip with some friends I had not seen for a while, so I didn't eat there. Good service and reasonable prices. It's worth a visit

Pretty limited seating, but nice atmosphere and good selection of beers. Food in the restaurant was very good with liberal portions and prompt serve (although they forgot to bring my garlic bread and I had to remind them).

Great food fantastic atmosphere and prices old world Irish bistro realy enjoyed the food amazing

Great service each time I have been.

Surf and turf was great, big feed. $5 guiness during happy hour which is crazy. Meal prices are what youd expect and the steak is actually cooked how you ask which seems to be rare at pubs.

Great place for St Patrick's Day!!!

Really nice Irish food and great service

Great Irish pub, good service and food

The pub is very well managed! Excellent seating services, fantastic food variety and food of the day! Food is excellent, hot food, well deep fried fish and chips, desserts are warm and just sweet enough! All staff are super friendly and good service! I will highly recommend to anyone with family’s or friends to enjoy some good pub food!

Went for lunch. Took ages for service and to be even seated. Not busy at all. Parmigiana was overcooked/burnt. Roast of the day advertised chicken which hubby ordered but got roast pork. Maybe change specials board. Killed a cochroach while waiting for meals. Won't be back

Great friendly service

Delicious meal, but on the expensive side.

Great local Irish Pub. Regular customer for dinner. Always great food and service and an extensive menu with something for everyone. Can't comment on accommodation.

Nice pub meals

Had a lovely small beef roast with 5 vegies for $22. Meat was very tender. It was ample . Quite filling. No way could we eat a large one.

Best place to hangout late evening

Very generous food portions and accommodating to dietary requirements

Service and food top notch
