Had a large group for dinner, great service and meals. Highly recommend the Beach Hotel.
Is good
The hotel is just across the road from the beach and very central to shops and cafes. The room was lovely, quiet and very clean. All staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful.
Great meal on the beach, true to label and easy to park and enjoy the location.
We didn't stay in the accommodation, we had a meal there, great selection of meals 😋 staff friendly and helpful 😀 family friendly 😉 well worth visiting 😉
Went here for a meal on several occasions and was very impressed with the verity and quality. Great all round experience
Dropped by for a cool glass of wine. Have eaten there at other times, food always good. Always book for dinner as it is very popular
The food is wonderful so much choice such large meals you never leave hungry prices are very reasonable and the staff a lovely friendly and helpful
What a great place to stay, really modern well set out rooms. Great pub grub for dinner and breakfast as well. Next time I’m in Burnie only place to stay
Over the road from the beach in Burnie. Close to town center. Rooms excellent and clean. Restaurant on site for dinner and breakfast.
Disgusting counter meal. $30 for a chicken schnitzel plus $3 for pepper gluggy gravy that hardly had any flavor. Soggy chips and no salad. Salad now costs $16. What a rip off. Not going back and it was my 70th Birthday. I'm a regular customer and the service was awful. Meals took ages to come. I'll never book a meal there again. Money hungry management making up for new chairs and renovations. Top of Town may not have the fancy chairs, but their meals are much better and cheaper. Plus you get some salad.
I went out for dinner with family and ordered the trio sliders, an hour went by after ordering, I had 3 cocktails and then everyone at the table had received their meals, I was still waiting, so my husband went up and asked where my meal was, he was told it was being made, half an hour later everyone had finished their meals and I was still waiting for mine, my husband went up again and they said again that it was being made. The server that bought my meal out was very rude and as she was walking away told me I could get a drink from the bar. The buns on two out of three sliders were burnt and then when we complained all that they could do was offer a free round of drinks which we refused as we needed to leave. I will say, the bar staff were lovely and they made fantastic cocktails, it’s a shame the kitchen staff and servers let them down. I will not be eating there again.
Xmas lunch. Service was slow and although meals were large, they were very ordinary.
Waterfront views of the ocean great spot to have lunch nice food
A welcoming and welcome venue to wind down after the Christmas Parade, al fresco! We'd worked up a thirst!
I was very disappointed in the servers at the beach hotel on new years. I had waited 20 minutes at the bar to be served but because it was busy I was willing to look past this. Unfortunately during this wait I was getting harassed by some drunk bloke. He was a nice guy but I really just wanted to get my drinks and get back to my partner but thw drunk guy won’t let me go till he buys me his favourite drink. He ends up getting me some “coffee matinee” and unfortunatly for me I hate coffee. So to get this experience over with I chug the drink so I can get back to my partner. As i’m walking back to my seat security come over and let me know i’m being kicked out for chugging a cocktail. I explained what happened and asked if this was just a warning considering it was my first drink but they said no and my partner and I have to leave. Since I only just recieved my $30 cocktails I ask for a refund (since they haven’t been touched) he said no but we can have then out in the smoking area but would have to leave immediately after. I obliged finishing our drinks while having to breath back second hand smoke. Which was quite an unpleasant experience to say the least. What bothered me the most was no warning or signage anywhere stating these rules and I felt singled out as I saw many other consumers doing the same whilst visably intoxicated and still being served more drinks. I hope it was just a misunderstanding but either way still very disappointed with how I was treated.
I stayed at the Beach Hotel for two weeks while working in the Burnie area and discovered Burnie's best-kept secret! The hotel rooms are exceptionally well-appointed, offering great comfort and style. The restaurant is a standout, serving amazing food with generous portions and excellent quality. Without a doubt, it’s the best place in Burnie for value, meal size, and quality. Highly recommended!
Went to Beach Hotel Burnie for dinner on New Years Eve and had a fantastic experience. The food was absolutely beautiful, cocktails were excellently prepared and service was very attentive and friendly. Would not hesitate to go back for a meal any time! Perfect evening!
they turned the dukebox off, right after i put money in it and did not get my money back. As well as waiting an hour for my food
ok nothing special
Had a family birthday tea last night. Ordered the kids meals and they came out first. Adults Ordered the schnitzels and the salmon bowel. All the meals were delicious. So much food that we had to get take away containers. Well done to the chef. Definitely recommend if going out for dinner.
Had a great meal again here, awesome staff, great food, really good portion size. If you like dessert, for get the entrees.....as we couldn't fit three courses in...not a chance. We are now local and will be going back often. Cheers guys and gals
Had a terrific lunch today, really generous serve of crumbed scallops, wife had the Tuscan halloumi which was delicious and Mum enjoyed the Bao buns, all well priced, only in Tassie for a week but we’re coming back I want to tackle the Tomahawk steak
Had a beautiful lunch for Christmas with family Meals were beautiful and huge Will definitely return when in burnie again
The pork belly main meal is to die for. It’s a large enough meal that I only ate 1/2, bonus is that I got to take 1/2 home for the next nights meal. On a winner here. Location is a plus as they overlook Bass Strait and the view is just lovely.
Great pub 👌
Drink prices are way over the top, but...food is great.
Great meals. Awesome pub.
Good food, good view. Value for money
Pleasant place nice people
Went to the bistro for lunch. Could not eat my meal. The salad was not fresh I think left over from previous day. Chicken and chips dry and overdone. Very pricey. Waste of money.
Nice meal
Didn't stay in the hotel but the restaurant was lovely, nicely situated in front of the beach so the view is great! I ate the chefs special pasta, this was a spinach and ricotta ravioli which was pretty alright. I do have to mention a great selection of Australian beers 🍻
Took my mate here for his Birthday feed. I had the salt and pepper squid which was beautifully cooked nice and tender. My mate had a scotch fillet which he informs me was very well cooked the way he requested and thoroughly enjoyed. Would definitely recommend for a feed and also reasonably priced.
Close to the beach, great food big serves and friendly staff 😋
Food was really good. So big, couldn’t eat it all. Well worth the price. Would recommend it to anybody
Great food friendly staff , very helpful !
Roomy room, roomy bathroom. Continental brekky complimentary and right in Burnie CBD n beach.
Very disappointing. We come here every week. This week, the burger tasted like someone dropped a salt shaker on it, utterly inedible. We complained and were told it's a matter of taste and too bad. No offer to replace or refund. Shockingly bad customer service. After having been every week for a year I don't feel comfortable returning.
Great place to stay, friendly staff and nice clean rooms. Downstairs bistro and bar popular with locals and tourists.
My family and I enjoyed a night out for tea, and it was spectacular.. even better was the chef was more then happy to make the kids desserts after we realised the kitchen was closed.. thankyou to the chef and the staff, we had a wonderful night and the food was amazing!!!
Highly rated the chef special poached salmon in coconut. Very tasty
Always come home and go to my old pub haunt as a teenager. The crumbed scallops were amazing.
We didn't stay there but the meals at the restaurant were absolutely delicious and well presented and great price
Great place great food great location have been back a few time's absolutely love it!
Beautiful meal, plenty of Gluten Free on menu. Staff friendly. Can order at counter or scan on phone to order & pay.
Great brekky ,warm room on a cold wet Sunday
Went for lunch with my husband we both ordered the Tasmanian gummy shark with chips and salad. The salad was the best part of the meal. Chips were cold when they arrived at our table and the flake was really disappointing the batter was under cooked and like play dough inside. The flake was tasteless. Was definitely not fresh tasmanian gummy...more like prebattered frozen shark.
Food was great shame about the wobbly table .get it fixed.
My husband and I were playing pokies and when we started winning he said we had to leave as we smell he is rude and I will never go back again
This place does an awesome breakfast, we try to go every second week
Huge huge meals, really tasty and great location on the water. So many gluten free options.
Rooms are lovely and clean, comfortable, and has a great view of the beach front. Some noise comes up from the restaurant/bar below. Complimentary breakfast was good, although I only got it for 1 of the 2 days I was there, which was disappointing.
Went for lunch. The food is magnificent although very pricey definitely won’t leave hungry. You can order food and drinks at the table via an app which is great.
Was really looking forward to a nice meal with my daughter and am so disappointed, food was bellow average, I got the gummy shark with chips and salad ( salad wasn't bad ) but the fish and chips were awful, fish was dry but the batter was like raw dough and had a chemical taste that was almost drowned out by an overpowering garlic taste, just really bad. My daughter got the kids bolognese and that was no better, the pasta was soggy mash. Very disappointing.
Food was pretty good , probably one of the better parmy’s you’ll get in Tassie and beer was ice cold so can’t ask for anything better really 👌 , Sam’s service was very friendly and professional.
Had dinner, meals were great 👍 staff friendly and helpful.
Meals was very ordinary it was great 12 months ago but quality has definitely gone will not return
Very clean rooms, nice meals, but the man behind the check in window and Keno window was very arrogant and rude, it was blatantly obvious that he did not want to be there, he was rude from the moment we checked in, I would not recommend anyone stay there with this grumpy old man there, I was made feel very unwelcome, we won't be staying there again, at $230 a night for a family of 4 I expected atleast a pleasant greating. I'll go where people are polite and respectful in future.
Amazing food and very friendly and helpful staff. Would have loved to stay in rooms but booked out.
Great meals and friendly service
Great modern room, good location.
We stayed three nights at this great hotel. We were given a fabulous corner room with great views of the waterfront. The bed was super comfortable. The room was spotless and amenities were amazing. The included continental breakfast was awesome…a choice of juices, fresh milk, cereals, breads and spreads, muffin or yoghurt.
Booked online, got seated where I asked even had a drink waiting for our Assistance dog, definitely will be back.
Good place
What an amazing hotel. Four of us visiting from NSW riding around Tassie booked a night at the Beach Hotel. They accommodated our bikes securely, couldn't do enough fir us. Booked a table at the dining for us without being asked. The whole place is incredibly clean, staff are super friendly. Special mention to Jordan, Jayde, Mick.
Great let people no were you are
large selection of tap beers and good quality food served in generous quantities.
Amazing free continental breakfast. Awesome other breakfast choices. Wonderful rooms. Sensational views of the ocean. Close to the penguin boardwalk. If in Burnie, do not stay anywhere else.
We paid a fortune for 2 Cape Grimm steaks. Terrible. Full of gristle and fat. The flies buzzing around was extremely annoying as well.
Few characters in this place but overall not bad
Had a couple of meals there perfect location straight across from beach food was great service also and prices quite reasonably.
This Place is suited for people like pubs ,the hotel has no Lift you have to go staircase 2 nd flr to carry your suitcase. If your a bit aged its not good..No Parking on the spot need to wait till all customers from the pub. Finish .park outside after 6 pm is. Free.small room.
