Can't ask for more in a hotel stay. Parking can be an issue being a pub on the ground floor. This was our 3rd or 4th stay here and first time to get the sea view room. Nice view, bot heard the port workers unloading container trucks most of the night. This affected my sleep. I suggest the rooms on the other side.

Staff are excellent and super friendly. Rooms are okay. If you get one that's had some touch ups. You can hear everything outside your room. Paper thin walls! Otherwise fine

Had lunch only. Meal seafood schnitzel and fried fish. Both meals crap. Fish came out with vegies. Baked spuds and brocolini. Spuds were mushy overcooked tasteless. Brocolini was stringy. Fish had scales on it very dry. Snitzel over cooked garlic sauce was off sourcream taste and smell askedforchips salad. Mo salad chips a week old very poor. Over priced aswell.

Meals took ages to arrive. When they did it was one plate at a time with a long break between. They were cold. Steak was like rubber. Asked twice if we had reseved the table (which we had 2 weeks prior). Not a nice experience.

Had dinner with friends and family, we ordered lamb Risoles and chicken Snitzel, lamb resoles and veggie was cold, chicken snitzel was burned. The plating was average. Everything is average. Location and service are good.

Extremely impressed with my meal tonight Had a house burger. Meat pattie full of flavour no artificial spicy salty flavour. Genuine meat flavour lovely beef. Fantastic relish. everything top notch. The best pub burger I have had in a long time maybe even ever. Service excellent too Phenomenal job. We will be back

Service was amazing, however the food was a major let down. I have dinned at the town house multiple times over the past few years, alway order a chicken parmigiana and this visit chicken was the worst I have ever tasted. Was unable to eat even half the chicken.

Booked a room stating I was in a wheelchair and needed disability friendly room. The room we were assigned did not even allow enough room to even get in the door nor navigate the hallway, there was no room to even turn the chair around and the shower had a six inch lip to get into it. They called this a disability friendly room. We booked for three days but the room was inadequately appointed for my needs, when I requested a refund I was refused

Comfortable and clean rooms. Great food and selection of drinks in the restaurant. Located next to busy roads so you get to hear the trucks going past. Would stay again.

I am not happy about my staying at hotel. It is not safe place to stay. My car was damaged at parking place provided by hotel. Hotel doesn't have video surveillance of it's territory and doesn't take any responsibility of your car. More over, my car was damaged by hotel personal or by staff of neighboring car repairs company. Do not stay at this hotel!!!!

I have just stayed at the Townhouse Burnie and I wish to highly commend Richelle and the other staff for their service. Richelle was fantastic on reception and the young guy in the bar and dining area was also excellent. My room allowed me to work in peace and effectively. Food was much better than anticipated. Intend rebooking for my next stay in a fortnight

When we arrived, the Lady at Reception was quite rude. It was quite clear we had interrupted her talking on the phone. The basin in the bathroom was cracked, the bath/shower design is hazardous and there's a sign saying bath mats are in the wardrobe as bottom of bath may be slippery, but Don't worry about the awkward way of getting in and out of the bath with the screen that pivots outward so the bathroom floor gets saturated.....

We stayed here two nights on two occasions in the space of two weeks and both times the rooms and service were excellent - location is awesome for visiting the Salamanca and Battey Point areas

It is what it is ya pay $110 and ya get what ya pay for but it's near a main road heaps for traffic and Macca's is across the road 😑

We only went here for the vegan food ! Found it on an app for vegan food but they didn’t had the vegan menu in the normal menu, you specially need to ask for it ! The vegan page should be in the menu, always cause it was bloody awesome food and very good prices too !!

Food place to stay

Pros: good location Nice staff at reception Clean rooms Spacious Great shower and water pressure Nice big windows for lots of light and good blinds for keeping it out if you want the room to be darker. Pub downstairs so easy to get a meal Parking onsite Nice pillows - bed was ok for one night. Cons: The room has no openable windows which wouldn't be an issue except the bathroom has no fans so as soon as you have a lovely hot shower in the wonderful bathroom, the room will be conve very steamy and humid and uncomfortable and you can't really get that air out unless you leave the front door open. The aircon didn't really help with this issue either as it wasn't too strong. The toilet. Ok so that was a BIG CON for me. Ive attached pics but basically, the loo is pretty much against the wall on the left side, and if like me you're above a size... Probably 14? You're not gonna be able to sit on it comfortably. You just can't fit. I basically had to pre sitting on it sideways 🤣 there's about 10cm between it and the wall? Maybe 15 if you're lucky? This wasn't the best toilet experience haha As for the hotel food downstairs in the pub, the pasta was amazing, there was heaps of seating, the staff were a bit standoffish but ok. The roast however was not great. It was Dry, which woulve been ok except the apple sauce literally tasted sour like it'd gone off. And their lemonade tasted like it had way too much gas in it and leaned closer to soda water. But as we only tried the two dishes of pasta and roast, I can't say if I was just unlucky with mine, the carbonara tasted nice.

Fantastic location, top end of town. Easy access to the main road. Lovely walk into the city and down to the beach.

The staff were absolutely amazing and nothing was any trouble to them. The facilities were quite nice and you felt relaxed being there. The food was quite good and the serving sizes were big. I highly recommend staying there as the staff make it pleasant to be there.

Very friendly staff and no complaints for a budget stay in central Burnie. Comfortable bedding and pillows, nice little gym... Would not hesitate to book again for a short stay in Burnie. Taking one star as the bathroom and rooms are starting to get a little shabby.
