Meal: the garden salad was wilted, tomato tasteless, no mayo or dressing; the chips were good; the scallop skewers were good except the bacon could have been cooked more. Was busy but meals came out in a reasonable timeframe. Staff were efficient. Not likely to return

A very wide menu choice and the food was delicious. It was recommended to me and certainly was most enjoyable every time.

A great varied menu. Our waitress was very young and inexperienced, she did not know the wine list. I ordered a bottle of Devils Corner Pinot Grigio & 3 glasses, she returned to ask if it was red or white. The entree dishes were not cleared even when main course was served. My partner had to go inside to request another drink. As we were celebrating a 70th birthday, we were not asked if we wanted to see the dessert menu, which would have completed the meal,

Friendly staff and nice venue, but food was quite poor. The kids enjoyed their meals. We ordered 3 share plates that were all poorly cooked and not as you would expect. The food really let this place down.

The four of us enjoyed our time and meals together at the Central Bar & Restaurant. only complaint was our steaks were well underdone, but what a great location.

Over from Melbourne and came here for dinner. Excellent food, steak cooked to perfection. Both chicken dishes superb. Staff super friendly and helpful. Highly recommend a visit to this restaurant.

Slow service , ran out of food then took 20 minutes to figure that out and advise us $50 steak way undercooked Not returning any time soon

Beautiful meal ,had steak, chips, mushroom sauce, hubby had the veggies, both were delicious, well done to the cook today 😋 lovely table service

I love salmon and that’s why I ordered it. The chef decided to drizzle oil on the plate which was not necessary, the salmon was served skin side up which is great, but the skin was lathered with a chimichurri which reminded the crispy skin. I felt that the dish lacked seasoning and I found myself adding salt to the meal to enhance the flavor. I won’t be ordering again and unlikely I’ll come back here.

Food a bit overpriced and a little wait on food, atmosphere wasn’t too bad and it’s right in town and they’re open till late. ⏰ Very big venue - good for big bookings

Had the orange roughy on the weekend. Fish was cooked well, scollops way over done that I could just find them on plate and the Thai Yellow sauce was well, terrible as had zero flavour. The Texan Rundle.

Food was not hot on delivery

Absolutely terrible service and definitely would not recommend. Had a table of 8 and waited 50 minutes to receive our first meal after ordering, even though the restaurant was over half empty. Then had a 10 minute wait untill we received more meals. The last meal of the table came out after asking for it 10 minutes after second last meal. The same meals had a massive variation of size and presentation. Staff were absolutely rude and when it came to paying, extra sauces and gravy were added, with staff arguing that we received them. Definitely won't be back.

Unfortunately everything I ordered was not available at this was just before 6 last Saturday, unsure how this happens when you’ve only been on dinner service for 40mins! Overall what we did have was bland and very expensive for what it was

Very nice and warm service. Great food. Beautiful views outside and nice location. Love the beef and lamb. Cocktails are great as well. Though due to my poor and not-very-clear expression made some confusions, the service was great. Recommended

Je ne recommande pas ce restaurant, j'ai trouvé que la nourriture n'était pas très bonne pour le prix, et le service ne m'a pas du tout convenu. En effet, nous avons attendu très longtemps pour qu'on vienne prendre notre commande pour les desserts, jusqu'au point où nous sommes allés les commander à la caisse. Finalement c'était tellement long qu'on a annulé les desserts et nous sommes partis.

Tasty meals, huge portions. We had a bit of wait due to how busy it was, but wasn't too bad. Staff were exceptionally helpful when our booked group expanded unexpectedly and were able to accommodate our extras. Much appreciated!

We have visited twice and the second time Crystal said 'welcome back!' She is a wonderful asset to the business and you should be very proud of her. I also want to mention Evan who looked after our table with a smile. It's a great place and I will recommend it to all who are looking for a high quality pub experience in Devonport.

Great view and service, garlic bread had a good portion and was tasty and the vegetarian pasta was absolutely delicious. Would definitely come back next time we are in Tassie.

Disappointing from start to finish. Really poor service and made to feel very unwelcome.

Made a special request to sit at window. When we arrived we found that the booking was screwed up and we had no table to sit at and had to sit in the middle of the restaurant. We then had to wait an hour for our food and it became ridiculous so I told the waiter that we are just going to leave to find out they hadn’t t even started the meal. We didn’t get offered anything complimentary to smooth things over and still had to pay for our drinks after they completely ruined our night due to the staff being unbelievably incompetent in every facet in running a successful restaurant. I know it’s Devonport but come on!

Had a wonderful Chrissy luncheon today with 40 others . Service staff were very efficient & friendly . I loved my meal “Sticky bourbon lamb ribs “ with sweet potato chips & slaw absolutely delicious & plentiful , definitely will come back ❤️

Food and service were very slow and the place was only half full. Portion size of the vegetarian options relative to price was not good. Our waiter also asked us to hand her our plates on the other side of our table, instead of going around to get them herself. Probably a trainee.

A little long waiting for my order, on a quiet Monday night, and after somebody later got served prior. Garlic bread $16? Is that what they are charging in restaurants these days, really? A bit too close for entree size , was the main course- seafood pasta. And a crappie spot where they seated me. Maybe I was just in a bad mood, but there it is.

Very bad acoustics, couldn't hear to have a conversation, food was average, the wait time for a meal was horrendous, 3 people from our table didn't get their meals until well after everyone else had finished theirs, then it was Luke warm, my partner and I shall not be returning.

First time here, won't be the last, great atmosphere, food was delicious and service spot on.

Another great place to sit and relax. Nice food friendly service and watch the Spirit chuck a u-ee in the river. Reasonable pricing. Absolutely wonderful food.
