Friendly staff .

My husband and I enjoyed lovely meals at the Newstead Hotel. Excellent sized meals, we couldn't finish them. Staff were friendly and helpful.

One of the first to order, received meal what felt like forever, 30 min later. Hook and chook, meal was ok but 2 prawns ice cold and other 2 luke warm. Chicken was on the smaller side. Other people ordered after me and got served before me. Left wondering if could of been better.

My husband and myself dine there regularly and we always enjoy our meal and service. One of the best pubs in Launceston by far.

Food is great and reasonably priced. Never had a bad meal there. The servers and chef provided the best service - went above and beyond.

Had a meal on the 7th and it was one of best meals my wife and i have had in a long time

Newstead hotel punches well above it weight and competition! Had lunch with a group of friends recently, all chose different meals, all well presented. I had the steak sandwich which was delicious, shared a slice of the pizza which was amazing. Food, service friendly and efficient and meals great value!

I come down regularly from Brisbane and always go here for the amazing food and especially the pizza. It was delicious again today. Satay pizza however it was barely warm so the person I shared it with was disgusted. Then I had a crepe for $14 and literally it was a single tiny crepe, 5 marshmallows, coulis and icecream. It was so cheap looking and would have maybe cost $2-3 to make so it is a horrifying mark-up. So this is a mixed review. Delicious but over-priced and definitely do not get the crepes or you will be disappointed.

The staff are so friendly and obliging, the food is superb and the venue has plenty of parking.

Not the best, waited for over an hour for our meal. All the meals came out randomly and we had all finished our meals before the last one came out . Also minus the tartar sauce. One of our group had ordered a side of chips which she kept asking for and never received. Apparently it's on its way. Scallops were disgusting. Don't think we'll be going back.

Normally the best meal ever. But this time we chose shared plates and they were terrible. Do very disappointed. If this was our first meal there i would not be going back again 👎

Great meal, beautiful atmosphere, okay service

Visited 3rd of August. Great food (amazing pizza), friendly staff, and good location. Only fault was the karaoke DJ (not the regular man). He only let certain people sing and invited himself to sing with people. Very disrespectful to anyone who he didn't want to sing. Several regular singers saying they won't come if he runs it.

Service was great staff are just awsome. Food was very nice, nive to see some vegan options at a pub. Toilets need a little attention perhaps some newer toilets more adult height a bit low for a 6ft person. But was an enjoyable night

Typical local pub . Pokies take precedence. Food as expected. Staff is very accommodating.

Staff are amazing, food tastes great but lately the amount of food you get has changed. Pay just the same, if not more and get less than a handful of chips when you used to get a decent amount. Usually walk away full but this time that wasnt the case. Extremely disappointed.

Have been to Olives on a number of occasions. Today we celebrated my sister's 60th birthday. Staff were friendly, food delicious. Thanks for having us 💕💕 Also, I love how relaxed staff are with the little ones running in and out of the play area xx

The one thing that attracted me about this restaurant were its wood fired pizza. Well the one I have yesterday was the worst pizza I have ever had. Yuk.

I have always had the ability to book and I recommend it though they always seem to make it look easy so try if not. The food is great, good quality and comes out quick. The chips and salad sides are great, as are there mains. It's a great pub feed... Steak, pizza, army, fish. Check the specials and they often have daily deals. There pizza can also be takeaway and they are great and a good deal for two with tasty flavours. The staff are always friendly and professional and the place is always clean.
