Did some printing, looked around.
They try but have no competition
Naomi B was extremely knowledgeable and helpful when we went in today to do a large photo print and organise a frame. Excellent service made for an experience we are thankful for and we really appreciated it! Thank you so much. Cheers
Always had best experience
Helpful friendly staff,
I wont be buying from office works ever again. They tricked me in to a pre order to receive my new Mac mini on the 8th of November, went to go pick it up and its not there and they could not give me a date when it would be there, next day the tracking changed to the 14 November, well 14 November has been and gone and no one can tell me when my order will arrive. Worst service ever.
Possibly the worst customer service in Launceston everything for the staff working there is too hard, no assistance no knowledge of products
Great shop helpful staff and range of essentials
If you can't find what you are looking for the staff are only to happy to help
I recently purchased a Samsung monitor for my office setup, but upon setting it up, I realized it only had one HDMI port, which I hadn’t noticed before. The very next day, I went back to the store to exchange it for a model with more ports. However, the staff came up with a ridiculous excuse, claiming they couldn’t exchange it because the power cable was opened. It’s a cable—of course, it needs to be opened to check if the product works! This is a disappointing experience and feels like a story they made up to avoid handling a simple exchange. Very unprofessional service.
Big store lots to look at very clean , nothing ever out of place. Friendly staff.
It's ok but I am often disappointed by the limit on the range of suppliers. SURPRISINGLY limited selection of pens. If you want archival quality brands you will need to go elsewhere. The staff an pleasant and the staff doing door duty can consistently guide me to the items I request. The laminating and photo printing service is very handy. Otto journals are awesome!
So terrible service. The staff just said sorry, unfortunately. They don’t want to help you anymore. 👎👎👎
Wide range of stationary staples. Photo and photo copying services
Easy place to drop off recycling.
I had an email sent to my phone, & had to get it printed off, (for me a nightmare) Fi went above & beyond her job description, I think, to help me, she did a great job, & was very pleasant, she is a credit to Office works, Thankyou 🙏😊👍
Bought a Nokia phone that's been losing apps and totally losing charge overnight. Only 4 weeks old. Got told they have to send it to Melbourne for up to 4 weeks. Apparently if I brought it in within 3 weeks I can get a refund. . The staff member started getting angry. Terrible service
Super duper staff. Print jobs are always never simple for me yet the staff are always always very happy to help and juggle and have some valuable insights. I truly trust them only take is sometimes you have 3 or 4 staff working with you as they are ALWAYS being rotated. Also find out exactly when their shift ends as they disappear like last week's pay when the shift is over...
Great service by knowledgeable people. They helped me load my purchases into my car. Good prices. V happy. Much better than the other electonics mob a few doors down.
Your typical OfficeWorks shop. Pretty big and well stocked. Not crowded at all. 5 stars
Good variety of stationary and computer goods
Couldn't get over the wide range of products offered.....haven’t seen any other Officeworks compare.....I have come down from Melbourne....my old local store at Werribee doesn't come to close to the Launceston store. Staff I approached with my inquiry were knowledgeable and quickly sorted my inquiry. Pleasantly suprised.
They have everything from pencils to computers.
Good products. But poor service. There is never enough staff to ask for assistance.
Very rude girl on front counter told me off for carrying my 3.5kg dog into the store. I have been to Officeworks many times in QLD and the staff have always been warm, welcoming and friendly to my little dog. Why are you so backwards in Tasmania! Surely there is no legitimate reason to not allow dogs 🤷♀️. You are located next to Pet Stock and Bunnings who both allow dogs!…
Friendly staff n very helpful the guy in the computer department knows his staff ...much appreciated how helpful he was. Officeworks has everything for the office or just for home office
This is our second time to look for computer. Not good explanation given. They should not expect everyone are computer masters. So , not helpful. We need human being to explain and not a snob who think they knew everything and we don't .We did the same thing , get out and just happily spent $1200 in JB H-FI we manage to get a very good customer friendly sales person and explained very well.
Pathetic service 🙄 disappointed with tech team for not looking after serious buyers and so called leadership team Natasha, Sheree, Shane, Kyle & Kym are also not competent enough for the job.
Exceptional customer service, Jay and Naomi were particularly helpful in moving some new home office purchases into my car as well.
More so a review for the team member Tom, usually I come here and know exactly where and what I need, but I was a bit lost looking for some obscure items. Tom was immensely helpful, showing me exactly where and what I needed, as well as alternatives to what I was looking for without any pressure at all for an upsell. Tom knew the store and products well, I hope Officeworks Launceston recognises his outstanding character.
Visiting Launceston in Mid June, I found myself visiting this store. Absolutely unbelievable customer service: Greeted at the door and told where to find what I was looking for. Greeted by another staff member in that aisle and helped with finding the product I was after. Wandered into another aisle, browsing, and was greeted by another team member who was happy to guide me to the section I needed for what I was thinking of buying (and I bought it). Overall, made the local Officeworks stores in Adelaide look pretty sad in comparison.
Jay K was really helpful. Awesome customer service
Jai needs to get over himself and be trained on how to be friendly as obviously it doesn't come naturally. His manner and tone at the checkout was arrogant and rude.Yuk is all I can say,I would never employ him if it was my business.
Great service, thankyou
Extremely intimidating and rude behaviour by one of the staff members. Surely needs better customer behavioural training. If something is wrong with your website, there is a gentle way to say it out rather than shouting and dismissing in a rude manner. There's no way to rate zero star otherwise i would've done that.
Poor experince
Big selection and variety for every business or home office
It is what it is
Waited in line half an hour to just ask for passport photos. Sent to the end if the counter to wait for next available person. Then told would be another 15 minutes wait. We left.
Just got excellent customer service from Team Member Jay. Phoned up to check if they can price match a micro SD card from another store. Usually they would just tell you to come in and they will try to price match. Jay took that extra mile and made sure he can match it and that it is in stock to make sure my time wasn't wasted. As soon as I got into the store I looked for Jay. As always Jay was always calm and very happy to be of service. I have been served by Jay more than once in this past year. Always going that extra mile for the customer. So I thought it is about time I give a good review about him. Two thumbs up for Jay 👍👍
Went and got pictures printed off only for them to come out blurry Wasnt going to waste my breath going back in there and getting it sorted as the service is beyond a joke Save your time, patience and money and don’t get pictures printed from here
Great service from all staff
I wish I could give you guys a zero rating, served by a young lady with terrible attitude and zero customer service skill.
This morning I went in raring to buy a 31 inch monitor, the only two staff working the floor were attending a single lady for close to half and hour on some queries next to us, after being totally ignored for some time we tried to get some attention only to be answered that we'll get to you shortly, as expected no help came after another 15 minutes had lapsed. Thus we decided to go to the competition and spent an extra $100 On a similar sized unit an felt quite satisfied, your loss.
Friendly, efficient service and a wide range of quality products.
Just now went to get printouts. Merly was extreamly helpful and kind to us. Really appreciate her..and wishing her all the best in her life !
Helpful informative great friendly service
Went in to Office Works, Launceston today to buy some office furniture. We had the absolute pleasure of meeting Debbie who went out of her way to find us the desk and chair we were looking for and organised delivery from Hobart. She was kind, helpful and very funny and absolutely made our day. She is an asset to your company and a truly wonderful person. Thank you Debbie.
Took ages to get served but was good service buying a laptop
Plenty to choose from, good layout, helpful staff and had what I was looking for.
Great service, lovely team though the furniture section was a bit gloomy, all in all a very good place for office supplies.
I just went there and I bought a Gift card, My friend was carrying a backpack the lady at customer service representative told us to open the bag as she wants to check our bag .. Is that okay?? Is she was a security guard??? May be because we are not white, and maybe she thought we are thieves.. thank you office works for the delightful experience.
Junior staff seem to want to help with product enquiries. However when senior staff get involved it's get on the website we only sell the hardware. SO MUCH FOR CUSTOMER SERVICE.
They never ever answer their phones !!!!
Extremely disappointed by the lack of service my husband and I received last week. Husband wanted to buy a new computer screen. Not once were we approached by a staff member to see if we needed assistance and when we both found a staff member (separately) was told in a very rude and dismissive tone that he was with another customer (no other custom in sight). This same employee also kicked me off a display computer as he was using it, also in a very rude and arrogant tone and there was no indication a staff member was using that computer. This staff member then proceeded to go outside with his college and walk up to JB hi fi and then back into Officeworks. His name was Josh and he lost his workplace a purchase. We took our business to the new Good Guys who were excellent. I have never been so upset or disgusted as I was that day. We won’t be returning to officeworks and that’s thanks to Josh. Next time Josh, learn how to politely ask customers to wait a few minutes while you are assisting with another enquiry or see if another staff member can assist. It’s not that hard.
On the floor service is very good, the printing service area is usually very busy and could possibly use another full time person assisting.
Crazy, Went to print and scan few documents, printed 13 pages for around$1.20 but as the self serve didn't work for scanning staff told me to go to the service desk. They charged me $5.20 for 13 pages black and white scan. $0.40 per pages.
Got what I come for and left
1 star is too generous. So firstly a staff and then his manager said I could not return the crackling speaker because they believed the product was not faulty. I was told that I could not even return it on the ground of 'change of mind' for the purchase I did only 3 days prior. Then, when I managed to present the glitch and crackling noise on the device, the manager provided refund on the ground of 'changing mind', that was after 1 hour of frustration!!???!!!... The staff & manager were defensive with loads of excuses, they were arrogant and disrespectful. Of course I felt frustrated with them being deliberately agitating me by behaving like I was lying because instead of giving me opportunity to present the issues, they were adamant that the product was not faulty and that I should go home and figure the issues out myself. They also refused to provide further assistance when I needed to know how to connect the device to my phone. I came with peace, I was being nice and very reasonable, because I don't like getting upset at people. I have proven that I wasn't lying either, for I find no reason to drive 6 hours in total from where I live to exchange a product (which they also refuse an exchange on the base of the product was already opened, note that a staff who brought the product to the counter from the inventory, opened the box to make sure the colour matched. I never have a problem with a staff opening a box in front of me, but accusing me of opening the box (thus I could not exchange it with exactly the same model of speaker and test it in front of them) & lying is abhorrent. Both were rude and nitpicked me, with my music selection played on the speaker in my attempt to demonstrate the quality (they unwillingly let me do so after I insisted), please note that I didn't deliberately chose that particular song, it was only to present my case that there were crackling and glitching with the speaker... while, once in isle folder, my daughter who created playlist for StarFm commented that there is a clean version of the song played at the stores on speaker, which I agreed that the song sang by a female artist was racial and degrading, at that time officeworks was packed with students (after school hour). Another note: on the day of my purchase of the speaker, a customer was screaming in very abusive manner using very abusive words, neither any staff made an attempt to attend the incident nor provided an easement to their customers for the duration of his rant. For my schooling and business purposes I will NEVER again support officeworks.
I need the printer to print off my iPad and iPhone I thought that was pretty easy to print a piece of paper with information on it but On know they said it did but it doesn’t they sold me a big printer that I didn’t really need because they’re out of stock and I needed a printer I just asked for a basic colour printer that I can download documents and scan something and send it off in an email pretty simple they sold me a Epson 2860 then they up sold me some big cartridges so I didn’t run out of ink they didn’t tell me that you have to use the ones that come with the machine and now having of this machine for two months that’s only printed out six pages now it’s telling me I’ve run out of colour I go back into the shop and they say this is not right they say go home put the original cartridges in now the machine won’t except it won’t work not happy gonna bash it up there @#€£§ng @#$ i’m leaving feedback sucks I didn’t want to leave a star but I had to so I can post this Rant over
Some staff are woefully ignorant, which is frustrating. Buying a monitor, I was told by a staff member that it would not produce any sound and that it would have no audio jack 😂 I waited til he walked away, looked at it and bought speakers which indeed plugged into its audio jack. You're better off asking for help in a YouTube comments forum depending on who's working there on any given day.
You can never seem to locate any staff members they're always standing around talking or going on a break. It's a reasonably well stocked store, but isn't the tidiest.
Extremely poor customer service. Tech staff are hypocritical, rude, condescending, misleading and communicate with strong racial undertones. Would strongly suggest shopping at another store and encourage Officeworks management to thoroughly review their current staffing options.
Stuff is fairly cheap here. Staff are happy to help you. Can get a bit busy at times.
Printing cost is very affordable. Friendly staff and great customer service.
Awesome customer service!
Great staff at this store. Made an online purchase Monday afternoon and it was at my door on the west coast lunchtime the next day.
Do not recommend!!! Poor at helping to rectify a situation that could have been avoided by giving information that should have been disclosed at time of purchase!!! Very poor skills I went in to buy ink cartridges for printer. Explained my situation to the young guy who I was dealing with, telling him all ink cartridges were empty, but I only needed the black and pink to print what I needed for my business. I also explained I am not tech savvy whatsoever. Said I wasn't prepared to spend $75 on ink cartridges, is there a cheaper option than buying all 4? He showed me the 2 cartridges I asked about, I bought them. When I got home and inserted them my printer still wouldn't work. I rand the company who make the printer, they informed me that my printer wouldn't work with only 2 cartridges. I feel that the guy unintentionally neglected to tell me I need the 4 cartridges for the printer to work. That wasn't necessarily the problem . I rang to see if this could be rectified by selling me the other 2 I needed for the price of the value pack as I wasn't informed by the guy of the needs for the printer to work. The man I spoke to wouldn't do this, at a loss to them of $10 measly dollars, with me spending $50 already on the 1st 2 cartridges. I was willing to spend another $25 to bring it to the same $75 price of the value pack. I will NOT shop here again. I am on my way to buy a whole new printer elsewhere over going back to Officeworks ever. I had just spent $95 the day before, and whenever I go there I usually spend around $100, I guess anotger store will be getting that business now!!!
Just went there with my family: husband, two small kids and a scooter. Respectable family getting some supplies. At the checkout the woman who served us asked me to see.my backpack!!! I was humiliated, nobody has ever asked me this. I have some snacks for my kids, some make up and headache pills plus my wallet and phone. She said it was their policy. Well, if it is a policy then that's a very intrusive and not welcoming policy. I will not be rushing there in a hurry.
great customer service, there is always a staff member standing at the entry asking if you need any help. Plenty of staff about to help out if needed. fantastic range of products at good prices.
Seems that warranty doesn't exist on any product I buy. Drove the whole way there to get warranty on a printer as it wasn't working and got told to go home and service it myself, which I had tried to call and ask about but they aren't answering phones. Have had issues with extended warranty on my phone in the past which they would not do anything about. Clearly pretty poor at doing anything about warranty claims.
Rude cashier staff, would not recommend..
Always helpful staff and generally good products at affordable prices.
Tried calling several times no answer
Sell all kinds of stationary.
I've always liked officeworks. But today they blew my mind. Im interstate in tassie and needed some business docs printed, then scanned after signing (yes some legal firms still don't use E-signatures:)). Walked into officeworks Launceston and went to the print section. Never used it before but was so easy to work out I didn't even need to talk to a staff member. It only cost me $0.65! Love it
I had the best customer service from a man called Tom. He knew the products was able to help me with some information that meant when I purchased what I wanted from.them I was fully informed. Its rare to find staff these days in stores that know their products well. He was an awesome help and I found I was confident with my purchase
Not a bad place good range stuff got a functional desk and chair at an affordable price good range of monitors and a good selection of unlocked mobiles on that note they actually have the 4gb ram version of the Oppo Ax5s everywhere else I looked only had the Optus locked version which is a 3gb ram model with a downgrade in processor
Always a good experience. Helpful friendly staff. Great range of excellent products. Prices are always on the mark.
Mostly good value and lots of stock. Some things are not such good value, e.g. we use a lot of labels and we have found that many examples are twice the price of some of the independent competition. Staff are mostly really good too and some of them are exceptional. I'm looking at you, Tom!
