Had wonderful high tea with group of friends, beautiful food, beautiful service, friendly staff,great atmosphere, beautiful presented.

Without a doubt the most delicious sit down Christmas luncheon l have ever eaten.

I had coffee then went to work. Had a good day. Nothing exploded. Five stars.

Very limited menu but good food just really needs a change of menu and some more options

Had my baby shower as a high test. Absolutely fabulous! Service was great and the food was fantastic!

Took over 11/2 hours to get our meal last night and it wasn't busy. Plates cold, meal just warm. Servings so small most in our group left hungry. What food there was was well cooked and delicious but one but should not be have to go home and cook toast. Table service was also good but drinks not cheap.

I went to esca looking at the menu. What I actually wanted was a meal-size salad which was not on the menu. However the friendly waitress said it was possible anyway, so I entered. I was served a great salad, exactly what I was looking for and created on the spot. The food and the flavours were delicious and very well balanced. Although I was not very hungry I finished all of it. The service was excellent. Although I am a bit of a picky guest sometimes in restaurants I would go back to esca anytime. Thanks all,

We had high tea for my best friends hens day yesterday,the room and facilities were perfect,the food was beautiful and great value aswell.All of the staff were fantastic and very welcoming and helpful.Thankyou,the bride to be had a wonderful time as did all of the other guests.We will highly recommend you to everyone.

Head chef, Matt Begbie and his team excelled themselves during our maiden dining experience at Esca in the Mantra Charles Hotel, Launceston. Matt is new and certainly has stamped his reputation on this restaurant. The meals were cooked to perfection and presented well. I had the eye fillet and my wife had the salmon. Both of us were very happy with the size of our meals and the flavours. The waiter who served us was extremely efficient and polite but also was able to converse and offer suggestions when asked. We followed his suggestions for dessert and were not disappointed. The whole night was extremely pleasant with plenty of space and pleasant background music. The beer and wine prices were also very affordable, unlike some others. The chef informed us that the menu was just about to be updated and we will definitely be back to partake in more culinary delights. Well done Esca.

The morning after my wedding, my wife and I dined here for breakfast with a lot of our guests, who were staying at the hotel. We booked for 20, and other guests were trying to book too but the restaurant kept telling them they were a part of the 20, even though they didn't know this. So about 40 people showed up, and the restaurant were SO under prepared and would have been even if there were only 20 people. The food was awful, especially the sausages, and a lot of guests left with complaints which is NOT what you want just after your wedding. I won't be back, and won't be recommending to anyone, even for lunch or dinner.
