Went to Jaycar Underwood to replace lost cord for headlight. Salesman plugged in from a multipack and said that would do the job. Plugged it in at home to charge exactly as given to me and it overheated and cooked the light. On returning it to the store salesman tried to convince me the battery was too old and or I'd plugged it in the wrong way. I got a refund on the cord and plugs, but now have no headlight. Not happy with this outcome

THANK YOU JAYCAR! When you can't find something you want anywhere else, try Jaycar. Even the staff at JB HiFi told me to try Jaycar. I was looking for an external speaker for my Dad's very old DVD player and am so happy to have found one at Jaycar. My Dad is looking down from heaven with a smile on his face.

The two Indian guys took forever to answer their phone, then close early as I said I would be there close to closing time. So they roll the shutters down early so they didn't have to serve me. Never going back to this store, quite different experience to their other stores.

Worst customer service ever. It's close to where I live, which is why I go there BUT Have been here 2 times and both times left annoyed and being told they cant/won't help us. Both these times we have left to find another place that WOULD help us and left their stores with exactly what Jaycar underwood sales people weren't even willing to help us look into. I've never said this before but I will never go back there! They literally make you feel like they just want you out of the store so they can talk amongst themselves.

Have what I needed. 1 staff member on the weekend left like he had to keep touching me moving beside me all the time till he was shoulder to shoulder I would move he would follow. Asked if he was ok and he went all quiet. But I got a TV Antanna

Always fun to drop in and browse even though it's easier to just get everything delivered. So many fond memories of Jaycar from the early days.

The Jaycar team are laid back, but are very knowledgeable on their products. If you explain your situation, they will find a solution.

Check item stock before I make the trip down. Arrive and item not in stock, not even at least an apology for wasting my time. I understand these things happen but at least a friendly apology would have sufficed.

They have everything electrical you need and cords and lights and speakers microphones etc but the service from the 2 men that were there the day I went was terrible. They helped all the men without being asked but I had to go to them to ask for help as they did not approach me. They were also not that friendly or happy smiley lol.

Completely useless, called about a product I needed, said they definitely had it, drove an hour to get there, and they didn’t have it. Hope you go out of business, I’m sure it won’t be long til you do.

Underwood store staff had no knowledge on what they sell - needed a simple bnc crimp plug for rg58, they had no idea. Went to another jaycar and they had the right advice and connector. Both stores show they have it in stock. Like Jaycar, but not every store is the same.

Staff are pretty helpful. And now that there isn't a minimum spend for in store card transactions, they're finally convenient enough to sort of justify the higher mark up. Besides, it's not like there's a good alternative for components you need straight away.

Very disappointed. I attempted to return a rechargeable battery today which cost $56.95. It went flat once and then would not recharge. I explained this to Jessica who granted an exchange of the battery, only to note the invoice was over 12 months old, so then advised she would not grant the exchange. She asked another consultant their who advised batteries need to be charged on a regular basis to maintain them. Great information but would have helped if they had told me that in the first place as I was not aware. I also asked how to contact the manufacturer as this was not good enough only to be told, 'No, they are in China'. Very poor service as a one charge battery is definitely not good enough. We put the additional items we were about the purchase back and I will take my business elsewhere.

The only place I could find or even that stocks a female - male HDMI extension cord on their shelf. It Doesnt always have to be about exceptional service (not that theirs isn't). Just having a good range of what customers might need is better than over friendly staff. Even there competitors send customers to Jaycar. Thats what I have experienced multiple times now. I should have known better.

40l fridge in stock on the website (you can pay online). We do 1h drive for take a look and buy, and there is no 40l fridge here.. Lady said ''it's an old model, not in stock, blablabla... sorry for that''. Why no one check the stock ??? Very very disapointed about the way the stock is make here.. and staff don't care about that and have no solution for you.

One of the bigger stores with all the stuff you'd expect in a jaycar - car electronics, things to wiring, individual electronic components, and a 90s store music soundtrack.

I walked into buy 3 x GME UHF 370C rr $549. The manager refused to do a better price. I rang REPCO Moss st and instantly got a discount price of $411 each. JAYCAR you lost a customer today. I won't return.
