Narang RSL at the Gold Coast is the classic restaurant where you can have the most amazing prawn cutlets. Seniors this is a must. Prices are good too

Made a definite error of judgement, ordered the Barra of the Seniors Menu yesterday, because of the taste and look of the flesh I immediately knew it WAS NOT Barra and asked one of the kitchen staff - told that it was IMPORTED Barra and should have been noted that way on the written menu board. Some of what comes into the county marked as Barra is quite disgusting and should not be sold. So BE AWARE what the club is trying to fob off as something it is not.

The food is not so great and expensive, so are the drinks...sad

I enjoyed my beef Thai salad and the coffee. Friendly staff and good value for money. Parking is an issue due to active site construction but that won't last forever. We parked up the street and enjoyed a slow walk to the club

We have visited the restaurant once a month and always had a enjoyable meal but tonight was disappointing. Ask for a med rare 400 rump came out well done. I returned it for another one but this time it was rare bordering on blue. What was curious was i never had anyone come back to check after my first food complaint. Where has customers service gone..

My husband was playing pokies there tonight, he was wearing a collared shirt, dress shorts and birkenstocks and was told by a staff member called Beth that he had to leave because he didn't meet dress code because of his footwear. Not only was there no signage but he had also spoken to many other staff after the 6pm dress code cut off and not one had mentioned his footwear. Very disappointing and odd that a venue wouldn't want to make money from someone spending it in the gaming room. Also, he was told he was welcome to be in the restaurant but not the gaming room. Does the gaming room have a higher dress code standard than the gaming room?

Good afternoon, I was at the RSL on Saturday night for dinner, 23/11/24. I paid for a 400g rump steak, medium to well cooked, it came to me almost charcoal no taste at all, the chief even dropped it off to me, I think he was being smart ass cause I asked for medium to well, I have photos to show, it was not cheap $34, when I realise how bad it was I could not see anyone to get it returned, not very good service.

Long development of the club. Furniture is looking very tired. Sunday roast is always very good value

Will never go there again. Ordered a meal and not received what I ordered. Was a let down especially been my birthday.

Great staff, great food and great venue. The only problem I have is a massive one for me, I love going to the sports bar with mates for ufc but every single time I’ve gone they have somebody speaking over the speakers that mutes the tv. They have the entirety of inbetween fights to do this but they choose during rounds, when Jack della Maddalena was in the midst of knocking out Gilbert Burns (a massive fight and win for Aussie fans) they mute the tv to talk about some raffle. I don’t know how this is still happening because almost every single time they will have people shouting at them to shut up by the end, if they stop doing this I’d give them 5 stars but it is extremely obnoxious and ruins great moments.

We enjoyed our meal last night. Portions were large. We had deconstructed bruschetta, Thai Prawns and Beef Cheeks.

At the moment they are renovating, We waited 40 minutes for steak sliders and fish n chips,the menu times are confusing as the downstairs Cafe is with gallopi restaurant,cafe is from 10.30 . gallopi starts lunch 11.30,went to order something of the cafe menu was told not taking orders yet...wasn't even asked if ordering from cafe menu to which we were...been here for 20 years and really not happy!service was non existenct and food was cold,all up a frustrating confusing experience, I know their renovating...still just not good enough compared to all other times.

terrible at night but not bad during the day. went monday night roast of the day.. old. tasted like cardboard reheated supposed to be beef but served with apple sauce unable to cut.. seafood chowder.. stale breadroll with 1/2 cup of soup, mostly stale breadroll. dreadful.. have dined at night but never as bad as this. Asked for a shandy young fellow at bar never heard of it ! was lemonade with a dash of beer. expensive for the quality..

Best RSL on the Gold Coast...great value for money...great ambience...become a member and instantly save...still the best

Have been recently with friends to your restaurant. We were very disappointed 😞. Your menu was very disappointing. Vegas were very bland and not cooked through..come on chef you can do alot better!!!

Second time I'd been to this club for lunch both I time left very disappointed meals took forever to arrive 2nd time ordered karaage chicken only to be served a plain chicken schnitzel that was only warm and tough left a complaint in writing at the front desk never heard a word back from anyone.

Fathers day was very disappointing today we paid $146 for 5 of us 2 under 13. We were sat in I think you'd call it the store room all we saw was 5 walls no windows dark dunge, wires coming out of the wall sockets. My granddaughter was counting the lights on the ceiling there's was nothing else to see. Food was good as always not sure we'll go back

Went for dinner last Thursday night was the worst meal we ever had waited about 40 minutes for our meal got crumb cutlets Hamburger and chips and a roast The burger was cold with no sauce. The roast looked like a TV dinner that was cold. The crumb cutlets were burnt and very ordinary never to return after paying what we paid but you learn 😡

I recently celebrated my mum’s birthday at Nerang RSL and I cannot express how amazing our experience was! The service was absolutely incredible—truly the best I've had in a long time. Coxy went above and beyond to make mum’s day extra special. He organised a candle for her banana split, surprised her with a complimentary latte, and even brought out a muffin! These thoughtful gestures meant the world to us. The entire experience was perfect, and I’m so grateful for the effort they put in to make it memorable. Highly recommend Nerang RSL for any special occasion or just a great meal!

Staff were too busy talking amongst themselves to serve me, same applied to the bar. Food was like I remember kmart / Coles cafeteria food but prices much, much higher. Very ordinary food. Disappointing.

Hello Folks, staff a great, however, order for 2 only people arrived 15 minutes apart-not good. The roast" meal was positively the worst roast I've ever been served. Also way over priced. Needs to be improved by about 100%. Hope you can do this as the venue is a pleasant place to visit and other meals offered are excellent."

We used to dine here often, and it was always fantastic. We came tonight, and noticed it was pretty quiet up in the bistro - where it used to be flat out... Unfortunately the food was nowhere near as good as it used to be. I ordered a Schnitzel - the RSL/pub staple - it was tough as and the crumb was so powdery, and looked like it had been pan fried with hardly any oil, was not crispy at all. It was inedible so I took it back (which I never do) and got the Seafood Chowder instead - which was quite nice. My wife had a Fillet steak - which was overcooked and dry, the chips were pretty much just crunchy bits and oil and the veggies were dry and bland. We were very disappointed, as we have always enjoyed eating here.

We had a good late lunch experience on a Saturday at the upstairs bistro. The barramundi and prawn grill with veggies was tasty. Servings were generous and the balcony was spacious with a good green view. Food and drink prices were high as we were visitors but non-members.

2 weeks in a row , the kitchen didnt cook meals for our table while dinning. My wife is a member and introduced me to this rsl on her birthday, only for her meal to arive and no one else's. Pathetic excuses from the kitchen. Will never waste my money on this place again.

Went for evening meal on a Tuesday. Menu was nice. I ordered roast of the day which was pork. The meat was cut too thick for my liking. It takes away from the tenderness. Very generous amounts of roast veges. Sadly the meal was served only luke warm. I'll try again, perhaps the maitre-d wasn't functioning . Other than that the venue is lovely. Open, fresh and clean. Really enjoyed dining on the Verandah with he gas fire lamps. Update I have been here 3 more times. Each time ordering the roast. The staff are excellent. The helpings extremely generous. The food is served a little less hot than I like. However, I recommend the dining here and the roast especially for the exceptional quality and generosity of the meal. 🙂

Beautiful RSL tribute garden and displays. Great staff and good food, Superb looking venue with some serious health and safety issues.. You need to sort out your smoking area. The whole upstairs dining area is cigarette 🚬 smell obviously as the door to smoking area is open and shut often and os right beside the AC intake. Health fail - Also your money grabbing poker machines are audible and visible to children from public areas - another fail - Dangerous gap on balcony for chair legs or kids feet to fall through
