The staff are lovely, the place is falling apart holes and leaks everywhere

Dropped in for a quick schooner of stone and wood which I paid $13.20 for. This place has a few tiny windows and for me is a bit dark and dingey feeling. I'd put up with that if the beer was cheap but unfortunately not. Pulled the pin after one beer and scooted up the road to the commercial where the same beer is $11.20 and much better atmosphere. Lived in the area my entire life and unfortunately can't see myself ever going back.

My son took me here for a couple of beers 3pm, I was like Wow I never new this place existed, as soon as I got to the bottom of the stairs I new I liked this place, it had atmosphere, loved the layout, kind of reminds me of an English pub. I'm yet to try the food hopefully as good as my first impression of here, definitely will be back. Thanks for a relaxing very enjoyable afternoon. And you have a pool table 👍

A quaint lil pub that you would expect to see in a little country town, thats located in suburbia on the gold coast. Friendly staff and customer service on point.

Guy at the bar was a complete knob. Super dead bar, which is fine. But adds to its reasoning for being so quiet with that service. Didn't even want to order a water after that stunt.

Beers are extremely over priced, food sucks and there is no fox sports or entertainment. I only come here for poker but I'm seriously considering just finding a different game. Seems like they just keep putting beer prices up to make up for losses.

Chips were way too salty. Everything else was a fine experience. Customer service was great.

Stopped in for the first time visiting the area, quite a hidden little gem! It's gold old school ambience and the staff (Miranda) had good knowledge of the beers on tap with a light choice me being the driver!

Great little pub! Needs to get a better Chardonnay though...

I have been drinking at Highland Park tavern for about 16 months now and I have found the staff to be very courteous and the locals to be very friendly I would not hesitate to recommend visiting the tavern and see what your own opinion would be

Ten dollar lunch has been great over the last few days..

I like it there!! 2 times I have eaten there i always get given garlic sauce as its not on menu but they were lovely enough to whip me up one as i don't eat any other sauce. I eat there regularly now but last night a new guy or someone couldn't make it. I was a bit sad. I like it there YES it is just a corner pub but I like it they are a lovely helpful bunch of people and its not overly pack. My T-bone steak is always cooked to perfection and yummy. Thanx guys.

they've done some little upgrades of recent, a little kids play/climb centre, some greenery, air con is working, more pokies, they have a TAB which is good for a little punt and also change of menu with good lower prices then last menu.
