Good and service was amazing

Yeah nah…. It’s a Tavern. I have eaten there before with a group of women and the food was quite good. Today I ordered a $25 chicken schnitzel….. what a mistake. Processed chicken meat in a strange slab shape….obviously pulled off a frozen pack. “Steggles” from the supermarket would’ve been around the same quality….maybe better. A few chips… pretty good ones and a salad with an overly seasoned dressing. Usual greens and the two obligatory pieces of tomato. They’re making a tidy profit. The sweet girl asked me if I enjoyed my food. Had to tell her it was the worst chicken schnitzel I’ve ever eaten, and why. Not your fault lady. Is it too much to expect a freshly breaded and fried piece of chicken breast as a schnitzel in this day and age… especially for $25? This is the Anglers Arms next to Dan Murphys in Queen Street, Southport.

This is a great establishment with the best staffs Gold Coast has got to offer, shubham, max and Ethan were great and accommodating in my experience here and will 100 percent recommend to anybody within the area!

I don’t have enough word to describe the amazing service we recieved from Shubham, Ethan and max. What an absolute gem. My partner and I came for dinner and couldn’t be happier with how we were treated. Thanks guys, we will be back.

Great place to be at. Great food and pub menu. Ethan behind the bar is a great barman. Shubham and Simon provide great service on the floor. Great ambience and super nice environment.

Very disappointed in the lack of service. Orders 5 x meals. Including one chefs special pasta, carbonara. There were 2 x pastas specials on the board. There is no screen display when ordering and this was not read back to me. I paid for and received a seafood pasta instead of a carbonara. The receipt only displays ‘chefs special’. I advised that I ordered carbonara, as my daughter cannot eat seafood . The Anglers Arms charged me an additional $24 because they claimed I wanted to change my order. We paid this as i wanted a meal for my daughter. Very disappointed with their lack of service. Meals were nice.

Worst poker machines on gold coast. Dan Murphy owns this joint and I'm from Irish heritage. Shame on you. 800 dollars in 10 minutes one feature paid 30 dollars. That is the worst loss in 38 years of gambling

If I could give this place more than 5 stars I absolutely would! The food here is unbelievable & the chefs are very consistent and really put the effort in to make it the best possible experience. I’ve had a lot of meals here but ordered the peri peri chicken today & it would easily be the best meal I’ve had in a long time! Cooked to perfection & I would 1000% recommend it to anyone who is keen for a good feed.

Good deals on beers, but do yourself a favour a don’t order the peri peri chicken. Hands down the worst meal I’ve eaten in ages. Fresh from the “factory” I was told. 🤮

If you're after a blue steak this is the place to go. Most perfectly cooked steak I've had in a long time. Props to the chef. I'll definitely be back.

One of the managers there were absolutely lovely, they showed me around the place to make me feel like home, I even got a private experience in the kitchen, he is known as the lord in those parts, if you meet him, he will make you feel like one of yhere own
