I can’t believe how overpriced and poor the food was. It used to be value for money and tasty. Steak was chewy, kids meal had less than a handful of chip. Inedible. We were all very dissatisfied.

Great place for a family get together

Without a doubt best pub on the coast! Absolutely all the staff are unreal, Including Jamie who is always so helpful! It has the best beer garden, a kids outdoor playground and a play room, is dog friendly and always has great events on also!

Friends introduced me to this place. The staff were quick to serve with a smile, and the food serving was generous. I will return. 😀

It is such a nice vibe here. The staff and food is top notch. What made it absolutely amazing was when Jerome, the singer was making the night amazing. Playing Disney songs, entertaining the audience and also just making it a night to remember. Been here tonight with tribes. Did trivia night, but I kinda wasn’t interested tho. I mean it’s fun ngl, but I wish I knew more. Overall, great place to go to for dinner and to have a fun time.

We came here yesterday and had a lunch like no other, the service was friendlier than anywhere else, I had a chicken schnitzel for lunch, it was cooked to perfection, I actually said that I’ve had better schnitzel only in Berlin! It was amazing, would recommend to all my friends and would absolutely come again.

What a great venue. Kid friendly. Amazing food and staff. Plenty of tables and seating. Amenities were clean and well serviced. We saw Casey Barnes in the sports bar. Table service for food was terrific, even though all the tables had been moved and the tables were cleaned regularly. It was a great afternoon/evening out.

Classic pub with a modern feel and touch’s amazing sports bar with the biggest screen I’ve ever seen and awesome happy hour specials. Even have Guinness on tap!

Paid $100 for the family of 4 for a meal and drink each. Got told 45 min wait, over 1 hour later still no food and waited at the bar to talk to someone but everyone was too busy to let me know what was happening. Unfortunately the staff can’t handle the demand.

Very good pizza

Good location for family gathering. Nice atmosphere. Kid and pet friendly. Nice music. Food though was a hit and miss. Pizza was good but the rest was not as good as the pizza.

Service is great exactly what I’d expect from a pub but I will say my experience with the food was less than desirable. My partner ordered a schnitzel on special for $15 the size was that of a half schnit which reflects the price although I’d hope it would not be the same size for full price. I ordered a pumpkin salad of which for $30 for basically a bowl of rocket and a few half cooked cold pieces of pumpkin and way too much overpowering dressing, super disappointing for the price. The photo below is after I picked out the pumpkin.

One of the worst experiences tonight when my meal came out over an hour after it was ordered, with the rest of the table completed their meal. Had an early family meal with 3 young children with us. Out of the 6 adults and kids meals, my steak came out well done when ordered medium rare at least 45 mins after the order was placed and all members had almost completed their meals. My sister insisted to get the meal corrected in which it was returned immediately. With the kids getting weary, my husband approached the kitchen to query my meal more than an hour later, to find that the kitchen had forgotten to replace the initial steak. Money wasted as I tried to complete my meal (now a medium at best steak and blonde unsalted chips) quickly with the rest of my family waiting. In addition, the staff could not advise whether my egg allergic son could consume their gelato. I would say that unfortunately it has been the least family friendly experience in terms of service.

Pleasant pub...typical pub food...quick service once food ordered...good size portions...particularly noisy place spoils the atmosphere..a little more comfortable inside...

Went for lunch midweek , they had $15 lunch specials on Most pubs/clubs put these specials on to get people in and on top then you buy drinks etc , What I wasn’t expecting was the schnitzel to only be served as a half , it’s advertised as a chicken breast schnitzel and not a half meal I’ve never heard of a venue compromising the food because it’s cheaper … it’s a special to get people in , not to give you half the amount My mate certainly didn’t get severed half a pizza from the same menu One of the staff agreed the menu should say half but it doesn’t and the picture on the menu is a full schnitzel

I was disappointed with my recent visit to Burleigh Town Tavern. The beer prices were unreasonably high, and to make matters worse, I was asked to leave the public bar—right after buying a beer—because a boxing event was about to start. It felt poorly handled. As for the food, the pizza was a letdown: thin, cold, and barely any topping. Overall, the experience didn’t meet expectations.

Lunch with friends on a wet Saturday afternoon. Many people catching up with friends and family for Christmas too. But with the outside covered areas, the rain was not a problem. Food orders were taken quickly, then on to getting drinks, which was with the attentive and polite bar person. The food was delicious (I had the Baby Beet Salad in Snacks and Starters, which was plenty for me and so tasty). Price was under $20 and beautifully presented. Other dishes ordered were 2 Nachos, well presented also, Fish and Chips, Margharita Pizza and a plate of fries to share, with lots of laughs and chats. Parking is plentiful and vegetarian options good. Thanks Burleigh Town Hotel we all enjoyed our afternoon and will be back.

The steak prices are pretty ridiculous. It’s just a standard pub steak /fries & salad and wasn’t even cooked medium rare (it was well done). Chicken burger was below average also and dry - only a tiny amount of bbq sauce? Enjoyed the food last time we went about a year ago but unfortunately the quality has fallen below average.

Enjoyed the atmosphere at the tavern, service was very good and staff helpful. Food was pretty good however I couldn't recommend the coffee. Warm not hot and disappointing.

First visit. Very popular. No dress code it appears which makes for a very relaxed atmosphere. Staff were great :)

It makes me sad to write this, as I rarely leave negative reviews unless the experience was really disappointing. As someone who works in hospitality, I feel it’s important to highlight the quality and cooking of food here which is in desperate need of improvement. We dined on Oct 16 at 12:30pm. Scallops came out so tiny and dry due to being extremely overcooked. At $5 per scallop, I had to return the dish and request a refund. Instead of quickly addressing the issue and apologising, the waitress tried to justify it, saying it was meant to be seared that way (even though she said at the end that she doesn’t eat seafood so wouldn’t know.) She ended up bringing more attention to the situation by asking the chef in front of me, ‘Hey, is this overcooked?’ When the chef responded with ‘Nah,’ I had to explain to her that, I’m a chef myself and it was indeed overcooked. All I wanted was a quick, subtle straightforward refund. Next came the Seared Beef and kimchi slaw salad with soba noodle. I couldn’t believe it. You would think that because the entree was overcooked the chef would be more careful not to do the same with the next dish. The Mr Yum photo of the dish shows rare/medium rare thinly sliced meat which looked nothing like what we got. Meat was roughly cut in a pile and completely overcooked, dry and grey! We put it in a napkin to take home to the dog, it was that inedible. The soba noodles had zero dressing/ seasoning and the kimchi slaw was nothing like kimchi at all - no red chilli or dressing either. It was just plain dry cabbage and carrot. Egg tasted really old too. The fried calamari wasn’t crumbed coated properly. It was all stuck together. See photo* The fries were also really dry and overcooked. Luckily the braised beef cheek made up for these three awful dishes. It was really delicious, fell apart nicely and portion size was decent - so props when it’s due. Overall really disappointed having spent just over $100. I could understand if it was busy but it really wasn’t that day. Hope this review helps smooth out some issues in the kitchen.

We were a group of 6 mums and 7 teenage girls and we cannot fault the amazing service we got. There were a couple of minor errors in our orders but the way the staff dealt with them was so impressive (quick, gracious and kind). The young lady called Laura was an absolute standout. Food was delicious too!

Really nice beer garden and very convenient location near the M1. Their pizzas have absolutely no right to be as good as they are. Awesome! Pizzeria level quality. The chef must put a lot of effort into them and it's hugely appreciated on my end. Beer and pizza are always a good match!

Seemed like a decent and rather large pub, beer nice and clean.

Don’t try watch the premier league it any other soccer here. We turned up after it was confirmed that the Man City Newcastle united match would be showing and it wasn’t. Can’t even buy a drink from the bar outside as it closes so early. If your looking to watch actual football in the GC just go to the casino this is not the place :(

We had a family lunch today at The Burleigh Town Hotel celebrating my mother in law's 86th birthday . We were blown away by the friendliness of the staff , their attention to detail and welcoming attitude was so appreciated by all of our group . Thank you guys for a great afternoon !!!!!!!

First time … Arrived wrong party table given when explained that there was a request as it was for a young child’s party was given a rude response by staff member her reply was ‘ well there are a few staff here who answer emails’.. Staff rude - bar and wait staff .. Meals expensive .. had a steak sandwich which was sent out on a untoasted bread which didn’t match the meal .. steak was tough and chewy.. Entertainment was good tho

Great Steak

My husband and I enjoy the Burleigh Town Hotel. We take our family there when we see them and the grand kids love the play area. The meals are good and the atmosphere is lovely. It is dog friendly and we take our Toy Cavoodle, Humphrey which it is enjoyable for him to be out with us, and for my husband and myself to relax with him. Humphrey is like a child to us. All of the staff are ever so welcoming and great workers. Juan is an excellent worker, polite, efficient, great problem solver, conscientious, and pleasing. If I owned a business, I would be sure to employ him. Also, Dee is a great worker. She too is conscientious and a hard worker. We saw her on Sunday and she was non stop and efficient. We recommend taking the time out to try this place. There is inside dining, a large outside area which is popular where you can eat and drink, and they have a band there on Sundays. Keep up the good work it doesn't go unnoticed. Kim and Mark Taylor.

We recently had a function with 60 people at Burleigh Town Hotel. The function was managed beautifully and all recommendations regarding the section of the hotel and the amount of food we would need were absolutely perfect! The staff and security were so friendly and obliging and our guests are still raving about the food! Thank you for making our son's 21st a night to remember for all the right reasons.

Nice outdoor area but unfortunately the chicken resembled the sensation of biting into my back tyre. Service was okay.

Shocking service from management!!! Ordered a rump steak, it wasn’t cooked to my liking so I sent it back, waited over an hour for the steak, second steak was smaller than my hand and burnt once given I complained again, the 2 managers that were on just laughed amongst each other at me behind the bar. Manners cost nothing, poor behaviour from management!!! When you are paying $29 for a rump you don’t want to end up with what I ended up with. Be careful sending meals back to the kitchen as they will just burn the meal.

Nice food, nice staff, nice place, but expensive. $15 for a pint of beer, $28(ish), for a pizza, carbonara, parmy, $30+ for many of the other mains. At the end of the day, whilst it’s nice, it’s pub food, and hard to justify the prices.

It was great to watch Colombia vs Argentina final America soccer Cup. Child friendly!

Unreal spot/Location can’t beat it

We won't be going back which is a shame because it's local for us. We had dinner Friday night and unfortunately could not hear each other speak during dinner due to the excessively loud night club music being played by the DJ. My bad, I should have checked the website before going. Just a suggestion, though, maybe during dinner period, music should be less intense and then crank the music up a little later in the night. That way, everyone can enjoy the experience. Service at the bar was really bad. Everyone who went to get a drink said the bar staff had no interest in serving but rather wanted to talk to each other. Food was average for the price and it seems strange to go to a pub style environment with night club music and 5 star priced food. It's a fail for me and I'm actually usually very easy to please.

Great spot to take the family, children's playground very popular. Been extended into the old car Park I'm told, very nicely done and very comfortable. Food good Pub food and varied menu. Even a special menu for Seniors and kids. Can't tell it's right near the highway absolutely no traffic noise.
