We had a very nice stay at the Mercure resort recently. Our room was spacious and clean with nice pool views. Breakfast buffet was delicious and staff were very friendly!

Mercury Gold Coast Resort was one of only two Accor hotels that offered dog friendly rooms. This is a great service it would be good if more hotels could do this. The room was very spacious and also had a tiled secure outdoor area. Two dog beds were provided one small and one large and also two dog bowls (1 water, 1 food). The resort had many nearby grassy areas for doggy business , nearby street walking was also green and very pleasant. The bar served very nice cocktails and the staff were very friendly. We took a beef burger from ‘The Cart’ back to the room to share and both enjoyed it. We were there for only a couple of nights but saw plenty of families including children swimming in the pools. The gold course access would also be great for golfers. The resort was within easy driving distance of the beach, cafes, shopping centers and other other amenities. *dog friendly rooms must be booked by calling the hotel directly. There is a $50 per night additional fee on top of room rate.

On 10 November 2024, my husband and I stayed at Mercure Hotel, Carrara for a five night stay. The Front Desk Manager told us that the height restriction for underground car parking was 2.2m when in effect, it was 2m. This required my husband to reverse back up the driveway onto the busy road. We were directed to park our camper van on the street which required walking on the nature strip immediately outside the Hotel. . Monday 11 November 2024, I walked two steps on the nature strip and fell into a deep hole. Notified Front Desk Manager who immediately went to the CCTV cameras for verification and returned with an Incident Report form. She offered us zero assistance as my left foot was swelling fast and then I was informed that she was the First Aid Officer. A complaint was made and the following day the General Manager sat with my husband and I for breakfast. He was very open and honest with us and stated that he had reported the hole to Gold City Council but they needed to replace the concrete kerb guttering so the issue was ignored. I went to a Gold Coast doctor on the day of the incident who informed me that my left foot was badly bruised. Two and a half weeks later, a MRI was undertaken and I had fractured bones, torn tendons and mild plantar fasciitus. The MRI results were sent to the Mercure Hotel Manager who told me that he thought I was fine because I was walking on the foot! He could have put a barrier around the hole to prevent this incident but he failed me completely. Foot is not healing so may require surgery. Two x-rays, a MRI and an ultrasound.

Photos of rooms on their website appear way more aesthetically pleasing in person. Rooms are quite outdated. Curtains were stained. Bugs on bathroom window seal remained in the same spot despite daily housekeeping visits. Bed sheets however were quite clean and comfortable. Location also quite good - only a 20 min drive from main city centres/ beach.

Room is lovely though slightly dated. The service staff here are phenomenal and we're able to offer late checkout with zero issues. Also the staff talked me through their gluten free menu and pointed out what was and was not ceoliac friendly. Amazing!

Definitely a quiet and relaxing resort. Pool good, bed comfy, shower pressure good. It's a bit dated though. Reception service very average. Reception argued we couldnt use accor vouchers even though we were told we could when we booked directly with them.

The place to wind down, relax and enjoy all the days off you have. Laze by the pool, enjoy food and drinks in a breezy spot at the restaurant or bar. Play tennis, golf or have a stroll around to relax and see nature. Tucked a way from the bustle of everyday life and busy roads though quick to get to those of needed

Resort is set in beautiful grounds. Facilities, Restaurants and Breakfast are excellent.

Our stay was exactly as expected. Easy to locate. Our room was on the ground floor, which was appreciated as there were no lifts. It was clean and had everything we needed. The swimming pool was sparkling with plenty of outdoor furniture and towels. Several dining options offered delicious meals. The breakfast buffet was generous. All staff were friendly and helpful. Good value for money.

I attended a group workshop. Our seminar room and private dining area were excellent for our needs. Mercure staff were friendly and efficient at all times. The buffet food at breakfast was good and the vegetarian food produced for our group's lunch and dinner was very good indeed - so many of our group commented on that. Although we had very little free time to use the facilities, the pool area seemed very nice with quality furniture and swimming towels provided. My only point for improvement would be the huge queue to 'check in' for breakfast on our last morning. I would suggest more staff and computers at the dining reception to avoid long delays for guests wishing to have breakfast.

Nice location with a beautiful golf course around. Overall stay was good but two issues did not meet my expectations. 1. The bar is normally open to 9.30pm, but in two occasions the same staff told me that cocktail was not available after 9pm because they had washed the equipment and don’t want to do it after 9pm. In the 2 occasion, I enquired if that’s the hotel policy or just personal discretion, she admitted it was her own decision and agreed to serve cocktail as a special treat. It appears that she was doing me a big favour and the customer had to beg her for it. I stayed there for nearly two weeks, all the other staff were friendly and served me without any issue. This particular staff just ruined her colleagues good reputation. 2. On the last day when I checked out to pay my bills, the manager who served me could not even produce a proper invoice. I enquired twice and she printed three invoices with three different charges and had no idea why or what caused the confusion. It took me more than 30 minutes to check out and I didn’t even have time to cross check all the charges. And only found out that she changed my room credit from $150 to $100 without letting me know. I’m not sure how she managed the three totally different charges and blamed the systems.

We were pleasantly surprised for the day we arrived till the day we departed.

Really appreciate all hospitality and service. I'll definitely be back again for my next holiday

Absolutely luxurious Amazing staff , scenery and food

Room size was fantastic, peaceful surrounds, bathrooms perfectly clean and generous in size (we had 3 for the 2-bedroom apartment), excellent!

Not very convenient location, aircon is not great, you get what you pay for.

As a former big fan of that resort and based on my last trip early this week I must admit I will no longer go back there neither I recommend it as I was very disappointed. For sure it needs a renovation, improvements in the restaurant management and food quality. Very disappointing.

Hotel was lovely, the room was nice and clean, spacious and we especially appreciated that the whole venue was a no smoking place - nothing worse than opening your balcony to get some fresh air and being bombarded with someone’s disgusting second hand smoke. The room had a great long full length mirror in the bedroom, not just the bathroom mirror which was a nice touch. The location was really great - close to everything you could want yet secluded enough to be quiet and tranquil. There is a really cute “European” style precinct close by with awesome cafes and cobblestone paths. The hotel’s under cover car park was huge and there were plenty of spaces. Be mindful that the walkway between the car park and the rooms is not covered so bring an umbrella in case of rain. The rooms are separated into individual buildings, it’s not all in one big building and reception is also separate. No complaints about that but again, bring an umbrella if wet weather is expected. Staff were friendly and helpful. We didn’t eat at the restaurant so can’t comment on that, nor did we use the pool but it looked nice. We tried to book a spa treatment but those were booked out for a few weeks so definitely pre-book before your stay if you want spa treatments while you’re there. Overall, we loved it and will be back next time we need to stay at the Gold Coast!

I've been coming here for years now. The space they have it's great, it's a big land, with a lake, a golf course, 2 pools, 2 tennis courts, table tennis and a gym. However, the place really needs some maintenance. The sauna hasn't been working for probably over a year now. The gym door sometimes doesn't work and you have to catch the lift to access the gym. The ping pong rackets and tennis rackets they have are in very poor condition. These are small things that wouldn't take a huge amount of money or time to fix.

Staff were lovely and welcoming from first entering the resort. Stayed 5 nights with the family and had a great experience and stay. Well located, short car ride to Broadbeach and surfers paradise. Rooms could do with a little facelift but were very comfortable and suitable. Would recommend to anyone looking for a nice family holiday spot.

Hired two rooms for 7 days, both had their own issues. Ceiling leak, towel rail fell off and soap bottle that wouldn't dispense in 1bdrm apartment and studio had visible grey mould growing in bathroom which didn't work at its full capacity. Food my teenager ordered many fries from The Cart, and each order was dry, shrivelled up we returned one order after learning this, and portions were inconsistent. My group complained the breakfast buffet scrambled eggs too runny and wondered why this resort never served hashbrowns as standard on the menu. Parking underground was available, there no are lift to the rooms for those on upper level FYI. Room maintenance needs proper attention in the Accor building as we've frequented many in around Australia to be able to compare with.

Family stay for a sporting event. Great facilities, especially the pool and the gym. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Restaurant(s) were excellent though a little over-priced. Room decor needs a bit of a refresh. No cooking facilities in room, only a jug. Small fridge with an ice box that barely worked and a lack of shelves etc for baggage storage. Apart from those minor niggles overall enjoyable stay.

Our stay at the MERCURE Gold Coast resort was amazing. The staff were friendly caring and incredibly helpful. The location and surroundings are beautiful. It was a wonderful retreat from the hustle bustle of the Gold Coast. We were able to access all of the key attractions. Thank you to all the team for making our stay a memorable experience.

The first time I've had a bad experience at an Accor property. Warning to anyone staying, don't drink from the mugs or glassware in the rooms. I was in my room when housekeeping came and expecting them to replace the cups, they washed them in the bathroom sink! The glasses had a handwash smell and the mugs stunk of bleach! I had to go to reception and ask for CLEAN cups. This was appalling to see in a hotel in Australia and to have housekeeping that think this was hygienic was worrying. Had the cups been swapped out between guests? I'm guessing no. The aircon in our first room didn't work and the walk way to the rooms hasn't seen a wash in years. The there are the covers to stop slipping that are turning in to trip hazards. The tables in the bar were grimy and hadn't seen glass cleaner in a long time. The only redeeming feature were the reception staff who were able to sort out a miserable stay.

Good location central to attractions. Good buffet breakfast selection. Lovely gardens and pool/spa, outdoor games for kids eg ping pong and chess, also has a kids hub with TV , gaming and microwave. Room is average, smelt musty, bar fridge dodgy, bathroom outdated and shower floods water all over floor.Good value for money as we purchased through a package deal.

Health risk be warned. Mould in rooms. Terrible smell. Black spots in room. Wet carpet. Out dated and old. Walk up stairs. Lazy staff. 15 minutes to get help.

The facilities are nice enough. And I appreciate that there is a gym. But my experience has been soured by a member of reception staff working 21/01/25. I understand that everyone has bad days-we’re all human after all. But it is not fair to let your personal biases and bad mood, allow you to treat customers like they are a nuisance or a waste of your time. I am sure a lot of the staff would be absolutely lovely so it’s a shame that one person has ruined the overall experience.

Fantastic stay we had and Accor room and it didn't disappoint. Very happy with the service all the staff were friendly and amazing, my son's apartment smelt a little bit they came and sprayed it. Special mention to Lilly bat staff always friendly and super helpful. Incredible service and super helpful and friendly staff. The beds were so comfortable and the TV's we able to be cast to. The bathroom was beautiful bath and separate full shower with a separate bathroom for the kids.

We stayed at the Mercure while on a family holiday. The rates were amazing which made the hotel great value for money with free breakfast, a pool and a large twin share room. Downsides were the stairs and lack of lift to get our family and pram up to the room. Plus a lack of outdoor sitting areas and playground for kids. We were visiting family nearby so the location was perfect for us. Both the room and resort were clean and well presented.

Room had mould and a terrible smells. Switched room and was the same. Buildings are old. Walk up stairs. Carpet stains. Cancelled booking. Health risk.

Mid size hotel in a beautiful and peaceful location (next to immaculate golf courses) , 15 -20 min drive away from the beach areas. Resort has all you need to relax (2 pools, tennis courts, gym, kids lounge, all free of charge) and useful amenities (washers and dryers in each block, car parking). Rooms are spacious and affordable, especially if booking early. Staff is attentive and eager to please.

Only downside was that room service was not delivered but had to be picked up from the restaurant onsite.

Great for a family, well equipped for kids to enjoy themselves in games room or pool. Clean and comfortable room as always, excellent hot water and water pressure in the bathroom. Pool lots of fun for kids, pool areas clean, neat tidy. Happy hour is good value, restaurant expensive but aren’t all resort eateries expensive?

Disappointed as our bathroom smelt, dirty towel in bathroom, reported sliding door lock not locking and no-one came to fix even though it was a huge security issue as we were directly opposite the pool on the ground floor. Pool hours are too late, people screaming in the pool until 10pm. Unorganised food service. Generally an unorganised mess. Still charged a $40 late check-out fee after all of this.

It’s a family oriented holiday resort, staffs are friendly and breakfast is not too bad with plenty of options.

Hmm, don't eat in the restaurant it is overpriced and very cheap cuts of meat are used. The staff are great though. Probably a great place to stay if you have kids and are in to golf, otherwise it is so-so. Biggest plus is that it is quiet.

Great pools and breaky. Comfortable beds and rooms. Everyone was welcoming and helpful. Only downside of the stay was lack of a lift for luggage which was only a problem when arriving and departing.

As a larger man, yet have no issue with stairs to get to a room. Staff put me in the room on ground floor level with the most depressing view. Was told it’s a better room than my work colleagues. Yet they all have a decent view of golf course. Mine a thorough affair, with no privacy. Colleagues & I had musky scented rooms with mould in areas “looked flood affected”. As an Accor member, it’s a waste of time when you can’t add member number to any company travel or get any form of discount/points it seems. Had a poor dinner that made me sick. Was told it would be put on my room account as credit & be refunded at check out. On Checking out was told I would not be refunded. I travel a lot & this place was unpleasant & highly over rated. My last stay here pre covid, was a much better experience.

I loved the setting our room was great so sound proof fantastic for my grandchildren they loved the pool and the kids hub . The type of people that stayed at Mercure while we were there were the same friendly people as my family . We so enjoyed the breakfast every morning the food was amazing and my grandchildren were so happy and just loved everything about this beautiful resort . The kids loved the lizards and scrub chooks and I live the crows , they reminded me of the NT where I was born so I had lots of memories of my hometown. I couldn’t believe we were so close to the goldcoast beaches and shopping centres . We definitely will be back thankyou so much for a wonderful holiday at your wonderful resort . Your staff were all friendly and very helpful and your housemates deserve a pay rise . My kids loved going back to our room to see if it was all clean again . They were very grateful. See you all again . 😊👍

Currently staying at Resort, and for the most part it’s fine. Old but clean, and price was OK. However outside my room last night was accosted by an aggressive uncontrolled (off leash) dog which ran at me barking. Bogan female owner was present. Reported to Resort Management who “have spoken to her” but not ejected her or dog from Resort. I was told I am free to leave by Manager. Would not recommend bringing small children of those afraid of dogs to Resort based on this experience.

The whole place is run down, the pool has lots of missing tiles, the bathroom was mouldy in lots of places and floors water damaged, doesn’t appear a lot of care put into housekeeping with one tissue left in the box for the start of our stay, no conditioner in shower instead more hand soap, all pathways and our balcony was covered in dirt/build up from not being cleaned and garden rubbish, scan code on tv didn’t work, wifi instructions not clear, room phone didn’t work, dealing with staff not great service, as a family we were all extremely disappointed our stay and won’t go back.

I recently stayed at this hotel and had an overall pleasant experience. The management stood out with their thoughtfulness—when my baby accidentally broke a cup in the room, they were more concerned about the incident than anything else, immediately asking if everyone was okay. It’s rare to see such genuine care. The rooms themselves were spacious, and the beds were comfortable, though the interiors, including the bathrooms, could use a bit of updating. On the downside, we encountered a couple of issues during our stay. First, there was a problem with the gluten-free toaster at breakfast. I felt a bit singled out when it wasn’t properly addressed, and the lack of a clear sign or explanation around it could have easily resolved the situation. Additionally, there seemed to be a shortage of pool towels, and while we did see used towels around, there wasn't enough proactive effort to collect them so others could use fresh ones. Overall, it was a good stay, but there are definitely a few areas for improvement to make the experience even better.

This resort is located in a quiet and green golf area so it’s very comfortable. It takes about 15 to 20 mins to anywhere by driving in the Gold Coast area. The resort has literally everything you need (pool, golf course, tennis court and free breakfast for us). It’s not new premise though and needs some renovations soon. But things are kept generally clean and tidy.At the price I paid, it’s great value for money. My kids love this place. Will come again.

Highly recommend for a family friendly stay and couples stay. Pool area is perfect for relaxing and cozy clean rooms with much needed air con. Staff was also very helpful with any questions/issues.

We recently stayed at Mercure Gold Coast Resort for a few nights and overall had a good experience. The hotel offers basic facilities, though there are a few areas that could be improved. Parking can be an issue, especially if you have a high-roof vehicle, and if you're staying in a room far from the main entrance (like we did in Building 6), expect a long walk. The pool area is small and can get crowded during peak times, plus towels often run out and aren't restocked promptly—you’ll have to ask for more yourself. On the positive side, the buffet breakfast was fantastic, and the staff were generally friendly. The resort is also conveniently located about 15 minutes from Surfers Paradise. The kids' hub is a nice feature, though it could use more toys and activities. Overall, a pleasant stay with room for improvement in some areas.

I was greeted at the reception with such friendly staff. We didn’t end up using any facilities besides the buffet and the breakfast was ok not many options for those with allergies or don’t eat pig. The rooms were tidy looking but smelt bad and the bathroom looked mouldy.

Visiting from Perth , way to far out with out a car , upon arrival a live wasp was in room no exhaust fan in room , no water in room no ice in room tiny tiny fridge very outdated air con isn’t cold if payment wasn’t taken straight away would have left and found heaps better accommodation not to mention 3 flights of stairs to walk up everytime I leave the room but added bonus you get mostqutos at night I rate this a 1 star not a 5 star hurry up and end holiday please

We travel a lot our family work within the hospitality industry and the hotel industry and by far this place exceeded all our expectations family friendly just the best place to stay. Save your money and come and stay here. I highly recommend it. We had a wonderful 4-night stay at this resort. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the resort itself was spacious and well-maintained. The kids loved the pool, and it was a great place for them to relax and play. The pool closes at 10 pm. The breakfast cost per person is $35 for walk in guest, which is quite reasonable. The resort was also quite and relaxing, and we enjoyed every moment we spent there. If we ever plan to return to the Gold Coast, this is definitely the place we’ll be staying. Congratulations to the Mercure Team on a job well done!

Great hotel for families. Pingpong table, tennis courts, two pools, a great gym and more. Good for families and couples looking for a cheap, quality getaway.

Amazzzzzing! Our whole family had a blast ALL 16 of us. We booked 5 beautiful rooms. To say we were spoiled was an understatement.
