We had our engagement party at Aviary bar last week and had such a beautiful night. Jon and the team were so efficient, thoughtful and played such a big role in making our night go smoothly despite the rain that changed our plans last minute! Amazing cocktails, amazing food and amazing staff! On a super busy night with only 2 chefs, they were working really hard to perfect every meal and they were beyond expectations! I will never forget this spot and will be back!

Nice view and is just next Sharks Club building. Food is tasty but mostly pizza. Pizza was tasty. Not many variety of foods, I wish if there are hot chips.… but drinks are many. They have hot wine too. It nice in winter. They have heater and blanket in outside seats. I recommend if you go there in winter, it is better having coat or some for cold. They have happy hour and half-price 🍺 drinks. I think good drinking place with local friends.

I’ve been a few times. Recently for a big birthday party. They kept moving tables through our large group and made us all move. The tables were for a function the next day. Food is okay and quite reasonably priced.

we recently arranged a birthday event with Shannon and the team at Aviary Rooftop bar - and everything went like clockwork! Shannon was so helpful with making the arrangements with me leading up to the event, and answering all my questions. Cameron and the team on the night were so professional with food set up, service and attitude - it made everything so easy for us and everyone had a great time at the function. We ordered a lot of food to come out at different times throughout the night, and nothing was too much trouble. We had a lot of dietary requirements in our group (vegetarian, gluten free etc) and all were catered for. Would definitely recommend this venue.

We celebrated an 18th birthday and it was amazing. The view, live music and service was very relaxed yet professional. They even made our son a surprise dessert, on the house, when they found out it was his birthday. We absolutely loved it and great memories were made

I hosted an engagement party there tonight and to say I was less than satisfied is an understatement. What I was told would occur pretty much didn’t there were so many F ups to list is too overwhelming Staff are basically too young and inexperienced If you are looking for a venue to host a significant event give this a miss, look elsewhere - I can’t begin to say how disappointed and disgusted I am in how some guested were treated let alone the general management of how the night started and finished. I’m totally gutted!

The staff were lovely and made us feel welcome. However 2 pizzas took over an hour… no one came to warn us about the waiting time.

Came here a week ago and it was nice. The hostess was not very attentive at all with our booking and we ended up just walking through. It wasn’t too busy at the time so we made ourselves at home outside. Considering how busy it wasn’t, drinks took a very long time to come out with forgotten items. Rest of the staff were very friendly and happy to fix the order and bar staff were super nice too. We liked being able to sit outside and look at the trees, there’s not many rooftop places this far north of the GC.

Have given this place a few chances now, always very hit and miss either completely empty with no atmosphere or ‘so busy’ they rudely turn away well dressed paying customers point blank (surely two customers can be accommodated). Have also seen a brawl up there where it was not handled well at all, everyone had to wait inside for hours while they worked it out. Not well managed and staff think they are too cool to offer decent service. So many better places to go across the City such as the Clubs nearby and even Burleigh etc you’d think they would value customers a little more.

Don't come here. And if you do, you will hate that you didn't listen to this review. Maybe the bar is the only decent part of this place. If you come for the food, reconsider.

We ordered mostly starters for sharing, and they were lovely, good size, well presented, delicious, pork belly a little too fatty. My issue was bar scan and order online. Although food arrived in a timely fashion, the drinks were slow to arrive, and we were there when it was quiet. Atmosphere was just background music, which is kind of boring. (Live singer/band to boost the vibe??)

This is a cute little bar with an open rooftop seating area on top of the Mantra hotel in Southport. The views are good and the ambience and decor is nice. But the food and drinks menu and service is what makes this place really stand out. Prices range from average for the quality, to really quite good. (the Lagavulin 16 was particularly good value last time i was there) The food was surprisingly good (at times exceptional) for a place this convenient and quiet and the cocktail and drinks menu was extensive and unique. Parking is very good, depending on the time, as this rooftop bar shares the same location as the Mantra hotel and the Sharks Leagues club. Service here has always been great, with humour, advice and information if you ask for it.

Visited this place with some friends a few weeks ago for the first time and had a good experience 😃 The set out of the seating inside is kind of awkward in my opinion with a mix of high chair style tables and then low lounge eating areas but I suppose it works for small groups. We ordered some entree/tapas, pizzas and cocktails and it was a pleasant dining experience. The service was ok, was kind of unsure whether it was table service or not because there was no one at the front reception to even check my booking so just walked in. We also figured that you could order your own drinks at the bar if you preferred as well. The wait for the pizza was kind of long almost an hour- and overall the pizzas were just ok for me Not the best I’ve had except the Truffle one I would definitely get again! Tried the Pork Belly bites (not bad) the Italian meatballs (were also ok) and also tried the Burrata Pizza which I expected to taste better. The cocktails were delicious and the ambience is quite chill/casual. I can imagine that the outside area would be nicer once the warmer weather approaches. The DJ on a Friday night brings good vibes but the atmosphere dies down quite quickly after 9PM as everyone leaves and it appears quite empty lol. Overall it’s a casual spot for small groups and overall the value for money is also pretty good. 4 stars.

A great little spot. I was surprised by the quality of the pizza and that it is wood fired - better than some pizza shops. The drink selection is solid with some interesting cocktails. The view is great for this part of the Gold Coast - still feels like a hidden gem!

Given these guys 3 chances and have left disappointed every time in particular today with the unbelievably bad service I received from the team leader Mayce. Whoever owns this place need to sack all of the management/team leaders at this place and rehire some new ones and get them trained in customer service because the customer service at this place is the worst I have ever seen from any business. The Aviary Rooftop Bar doesn’t even deserve this one star review.

Amazing potential but whoever designed the place at Accor is a goose. You're not even making the most of the beautiful view of surfers, one tiny pizza oven which creates an hour wait, I could go on but I'm drinking my GOAT off tap which was one of two beers I could pick...

Used to be great venue but now it’s too busy with not enough staff. The pizzas were always so soft and fresh but the last two times they were dry and tasteless. I always book a week in advance for their half price Wednesday menu night, to get a decent table . However lately I am allocated terrible seating on a back bar sitting on stools. Last night I said to our waitress I wasn’t happy with the seating and she said there was no where else for us to sit. However, 20 mins later she came and offered us a lovely table. She was helpful and so thoughtful. She saved the night for us.

Always great food, awesome drinks and exceptional service. We'll be back
