Southport shop is awesome, guys there are super helpful and it makes warranty processes so easy. I got a custom built PC from here a couple of years ago, the PC is against my profile and so they can simply look up warranty for each part and they let me know what can be done. My water cooler broke and was just outside of the warrenty period so the boys looked after me and gave me a good deal which I am grateful for - this experience alone will make me come back when my PC needs parts again and my experience at the Southport store is an easy 5 stars. You lose 1 star though for your support. It was a bit unconventional where I had to buy a AIO cooler and order it as a collection but they were going to install the part for me. I didn't get any updates after a few days and so tired calling the number... You can't get through to the store so you go to a call centre... First day I waited 20 mins with no answer, tried again for 15 mins with no answer and then finally got through yesterday after another 15 min wait. The support line has no indication of wait time or your position in the queue - you just listen to music so you have no idea if anyone is even answering calls... I know umart has made a stack of improvements over the years and I think the final bit you guys really need to look at is your support lines. It shouldn't take so long to get through, but at the very least let customers know the position in the queue and a AVG wait time. I would rate your support 2 stars..

Customer service sometimes just stops responding , they respond like they’ve just skimmed through and haven’t actually read anything . Kept my laptop with no response for months and don’t want to fix an issue that is blatantly caused by the laptops bad design over warranty . Would not recommend Edit : they aren’t responding to my emails and have blatantly stolen my laptop.

Faulty UPS that was faulty on day 1. They refused to exchange. Kept for over a month to 'try diagnose the fault'. Refused to exchange the product, refund it, or even give me the faulty item back.

dont order nothing friday it wont be available to pick up till monday under their next business day guarantee.

DONT USE THIS COMPANY son purchased key board literally pulled a bit of sticky tape of the keyboard realised it was the wrong one and we went back to return it and they would not take it back or even swap for the correct one. Terrible service. Plenty of other creditable companies out there to use on the Goldcoast

Pretty basic shop not something pretty to look at but your really there for your pc parts etc. I went in store to grab a small $25 item and only waited mayhe 10 minutes or so. Helpful staff. They lost 1 star because they do not accept cash as payment

After 10 years of being a customer IM NEVER BUYING ANYTHING FROM UMART AGAIN. This has been the most disappointing customer service experience I've ever had to deal with. A 3k laptop which had major faults was refused refund and sent to MSI and all I got back was a refurbished product. Had the entire mother board replaced and apparently it doesn't count as a major fault. Not to mention 2 months of going back and forth with warranty team and the misleading warranty procedure.

Was a long time customer not now, being discriminated for my disability is a joke. I’m not wasting my money with Boycott company

Ordered a $7 item online and sender has requested a signature at delivery. Come on mate it’s $7 just leave it in my mailbox. Now I need to go into the post office on the weekend to pick up - further delaying repairs

I am a regular customer at Umart and they are my go-to place for tech. Best prices, great and quick service.

Placed a order for Express Delivery with the $22 delivery with local stock at my local store so I could get it within 1-2 days. To then be told it would be 6 days. Called Umart to get the Express Shipping refunded as this is a breach of Australian Consumer Law by posting that your Express Delivery is 1-2 Days and failing to meet that standard to then have the call person tell me its not up to them to deliver on their promise. If there will be a failure to meet Delivery expectations, you must post Express delivery cut off dates" for consumers to see. I will be reporting the business to the ACCC and be following up to get a refund as this is a disgraceful show of integrity on the businesses behalf."

Can't say enough good things about this store over the last couple of years with my son building a gaming PC and upgrading it (feels like every few months). This store has been incredible in how they have handled things. We bought a few graphics cards. We added Wi-Fi cards with Bluetooth we improved this and that. Just this week my son decided to upgrade his CPU because his old CPU was bottlenecking his graphics card. He installs the new CPU and lo and behold. It won't boot up. He's all a panic. We pop into the shop. It was no trouble what so ever. The guy just casually takes the current CPU out pops in one that's a little bit above the original but below the current one pulls it up on the screen. Oh here's your problem. You bios is almost 3 years old, predates the new CPU. He updates the bios puts the new CPU back in and in less than 25 minutes. We're back out the door with the new CPU running perfectly and seamlessly and quality service always.

Dropped in to buy a keyboard and mouse combo. Took it home, carefully opened the box and tried the mouse and keyboard, and it was horrible. Plasticy, and the mouse wheel rolled very steppy. Took it back the same day I bought it, all back in original packaging, undamaged with receipt, but they have a no returns, no credit, no refund policy. So now I'm stuck with it. Fair enough no refund, but I was going to get a better mouse from them with the credit, but not now. Avoid unless you have used what you are buying before. How am I supposed to tell what the keyboard and mouse are like without opening the box???

I shop there all the time, The staff are helpful and knowledgeable in when it come's to computers, there is a computer in the front as you walk in you enter you order code in and they will bring it out and call your name. This is an online only store, but if they have it in stock you can order it on your phone and they will bring it out with in 5 minutes in my experience.

The team at Southport umart are awesome , took my new build in as I was having problems finishing the last bit of wiring on, when i took in they were on to it within a flash explaining how it all works and even tested and did the updates on start up super helpful , top job guys keep up the great work and service , massively appreciated 👍🏼

I ordered a 9 parts a week ago to build my a new rig. And waited eagerly for the postage to arrive. When it arrived 5 days later, there were only 5/9 parts. I then had to call twice to find out what happened and was told a follow up email would ensue (which didn't). Turns out there was a second package that would be sent from the other side of the country that had no order number or tracking number. So after a week it's still in Perth. Pretty deflating experience tbh.

Been using Umart for over 10 years. They're very good for parts, connectors etc, but I'd hesitate to buy big ticket items from them again. While the store staff are very helpful and their support responders are unfailingly polite, they have some policies that are not compatible with equipment required for work. Umart support was put to the test when I purchased a Umart-built gaming PC and three Samsung Odyssey monitors. There was an issue with the monitors not powering down correctly. It was not clear whether it was the PC or the monitors. Initially they told me to take it up with Samsung as they did not have the capability to test the configuration I had, even though they were popular Umart stock items. (Samsung were not interested in looking into it, seeing it as a retailer problem.) After months of dialog and shop visits, they were unable or unwilling to pursue it (even giving me a report of an NVIDIA issue that was reported in a forum seven years ago that had no relation to my problem). So I recommend checking support arrangements if not buying a single integrated PC/Screen setup. If the components don't work well together, Umart will consider it your problem, even if they supplied all those items. UPDATE: for the record, dialog with Umart support started on 27 Feb 2023. The case was closed 18 May 2023.
