The staff at The Crowne Plaza Surfers Paradise were incredible. They were all so happy, positive, and helpful. I spoke to several of them, and they said they loved working there. Kudos to the managements for nurturing an engaged and motivated team. Waking up every morning to the beach view filled my heart with joy. The venue was an easy walk to the beach, and the tram. I orded in room dining from the childrens menu (the steak) and it was a heart meal for $15! - I hope to visit again soon.

Firstly we had booked a Premium Ocean View room, but to our surprise we were given a room with a completely restricted view of the ocean, our room was on the back end of the building with an unblocked view of the Oaks hotel building directly opposite our window. When we had called reception asking if this was a mistake, we were just repeatedly told that this is an ocean view room - we can move you to another room (but when asked if that was Ocean view, they weren't able to give us a striaght answer). During our short stay, our room was not replenished with bottle of water, when asked for this, we were then told a 5 dollar delivery fee will be charged (rediculous in 2025). Parking, while it may be also out of the hotel's control as they can be privatised, but it's rediculous that its a daily 20 dollar fee and that we were told we need to sign up to register our plate number otherwise we would be charged hourly. In room entertainment, it seems odd they are relying on an outdated screen casting UI, and no basics such as Netflix and that everything streaming wise relies on a much restricted screen casting UI that rarely worked consistently. Also our $100 hold still as yet to be refunded, despite it now being well over 9 business days. Much better options around, don't even bother with Crowne, we might as well have stood on our balcony with no Ocean view and thrown money into the wind, it would have been the same experience.

Short weekend getaway with my son. Absolutely fantastic experience at Crowne Plaza Surfer's Paradise. Nil faults, every interaction with staff was friendly and personal. Room was cleaned with a lot of attention to detail. The buffet breakfast was if a high standard. Great pool and its location to the beach made things easy. I will definitely stay here again. Good rooms, pleasant staff, nice pool, well placed for beach and trams. Breakfast… OMG, excellent, and it has a juicer so you can make your own juices. Would stay again and highly recommend. Reasonable price. Let themselves down with cleanliness of hall on 12th floor. Small point which didn’t affect my view of hotel. Guessing it was just missed!!

We booked a package deal for February 14th at the Crowne Plaza Surfers Paradise, which included the room and dinner for 2 at the revolving restaurant, we were informed by central booking that all was in order and we received notification that it was confirmed. We turned up at approx 3pm and went through the check in. After all was done I asked for the vouchers for our dinner. We were told that no booking had been made. The reception lady asked us to go to the room and they would talk to the restaurant manger. They would then call us when it was sorted. After approx 10 minutes they informed us that we were unable to attend the restaurant as it was fully booked. The reason we booked the package was because we wanted to have a lovely dinner for a special occasion and did not want to drive home. We were very upset with a feeling of emotional abuse.by people who neglected to do what we had booked. We had been looking forward to this night. Because nothing coukd be done, we checked out. However the reception person offered us a lunch in the revolving restaurant for the next day. Totally unacceptable. We are very disappointed with the service we received from central booking expecting them to organise everything properly. Also the inability for the reception to rectify the problem.

Honestly, I have no words. I spent one night at the Crowne Plaza Surfers Paradise and then subsequently spent 10 nights (and counting) waiting for my $100 deposit to be returned. The lights were also broken during the one night I was at the hotel. Honestly, unacceptable.

Disappointing Stay – Not Up to Usual Crowne Plaza Standards I recently stayed at Crowne Plaza Surfers Paradise and was quite disappointed. The hotel is noticeably old and in need of renovation. As an IHG Gold member, I was surprised that no welcome drink was offered—staff informed me that only Platinum members receive one. This is inconsistent with my experiences at other Crowne Plaza hotels, where Gold members are also acknowledged with a small perk. If you’re looking for a modern and well-maintained environment, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel. There are better options in the area for a more comfortable stay.

We booked for 2 nights away as we needed to sign off plans for a new caravan. Wanted to extend by extra night at checking in this appeared to be a problem. We were given the wrong room type we paid for a king suite ocean view got a ocean view 2 queen beds. When I brought this up I was told it will be refunded or mid stay we could change rooms. With a chronic pain medical condition I wanted to relax not be changing rooms The breakfast were horrible, cold eggs and bacon

First time staying here was really nice lovely big pool and spa . Had a nice view large rooms and nice to have the option of spa bath and shower over all very nice. . Bed was a tad hard but other then that it's close to every thing car parking underneath only 20 bucks. One thing was the 100 payment you leave refund once you leave but takes 7 to 15 days that's a bit to longer for money to be refunded .

We stayed 4 nights and highly recommend! Rooms were quiet with a balcony and great view, super clean. Tram stop right out the front for easy access to everywhere, short walk to the beach. The food was AMAZING at Relish and very reasonably priced. The freshly made omelette at the brekkie buffet was the best I've ever had. Lovely pool and spa area, would definitely stay again.

Wenn ich ein 4-Sterne-Hotel buche, dann möchte ich auch eins haben und kein 2-Sterne +. Der bestellte Meerblick war gegeben, wobei zwar einige höhere Hotel davorstanden, aber durch die Lücken ging das schon, das aber als Zuschlag zu verkaufen finde ich schon eigenartig. Das Zimmer war recht ordentlich, bis auf das Bad, was mal eine Renovierung nötig hätte. Das Frühstück für ein Haus dieser Sterneklasse ist gewöhnungsbedürftig. Eine kleiner sehr langsamer Kaffeeautomat sorgte für Wartezeiten und ein Gerät bei so einer Hotelgröße ist eigentlich traurig. Die Wurst- und Käseauswahl sehr dürftig. Poolanlage sehr schön, aber nicht benutzt. Zum traumhaften Strand max. 20 Gehminuten.

Stay overnight at the hotel, and the wallpaper is peeling off. There are scratches on the furniture, including the table, chairs, and cabinet. The water faucet is dripping water and making noises.

Janine upgraded the room for us. Very good view and good room. There is some damp smell in the room, but I think it is the seaside and the climate. Very professional service.

Had a last day booking. Thanks to the reception staff specially Alberto for proving us with a beautiful room! He was very warm and hospitable. Will surely visit here again.

Crowne Plaza On the Gold Coast is amazing I am a regular visitor and find the staff very friendly and helpful .The buffet breakfast here is fantastic a wonderful range to suit everyone. The hotel is close to everything even a stroll straight down the road to the beach I highly recommend Crown Hotel Golf Coadt for your next holiday .

We had an amazing stay with our family! The location is perfect- just 300 meters from the beach and close to great restaurants. The rooms were spacious, spotless and mattresses were comfortable. The heated pool and jacuzzi were a highlight for us and kitchen served fresh and delicious food. Reception staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful!

Hotel was unable to fix my room with extra pay for queen or kings bed , the left me with double bed so myself and partner has to sleep seperate. also staff was unable to have a good communications with no choice at all overall very bad experience , the only positive feed back was location but service very poor. no food after 10pm , no arrangment for after hours house keeper very good and friendly

This hotel is amazing ! Went for a long weekend for my brother bday. Lets start with the room, aircon is cold and silent and you can adjust the temperature, showers are amazing x pressure is so good! Thanks for upgrading for beach view. Sadly the bed is a bit irritating because every time we moved it makes weird sounds, i reckon its the fabric. And we do have sofas but the pillows smells, No room slippers provided. Elevator is a bit wierd, left side is missing level12 and its goes to underground parking but Right side elevator doesn’t go underground. (So if you wanna go to underground parking use Left side only unless you will have to swap Elevator. Gym is amazing ! Got Elliptical, treadmill, bikes and dumbbells. Pool is not heated but the jacuzzi is heated, breakfast is a buffet for $39.00 each and i reckon this is the best part about the hotel. Very delicious and the staff is amazing and friendly. 5 min walk from the beach and 2 mins walk from tram station, just lovely.

had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The service from Antonella at reception was absolutely excellent she was attentive, friendly, and very professional. The views were incredible, and the room was beautiful, clean, and very comfortable. The only thing that could be improved is the breakfast, but overall, everything was great. Highly recommend!

Staff are not very helpful. Even asking for a towel for when my kids get out of the pool was a hassle for the lady at reception. Food ordered and paid for didn't turn up. Upon complaining to food staff re.- not receiving food. asked for refund and was told will rake up to 3days for refund

4th year staying at Crowne Plaza Surfers and by far the best. Can’t beat the buffet breakfast and view from our room! Shoutout to Erika at reception who went over and above to ensure we had a lovely stay! Looking forward to returning next year :)

As always it was a welcoming and relaxed visit to the Crowne Plaza Sufers Paradise. It was a weekend away from our home on the Sunshine Coast and a belated celebration of my wife's birthday and catch up with old friends. I now my IHG Membership rewards level has dropped from Diamond Elite to Platinum Elite and the hotel may have been possibly a little busier than normal but the service and attention to detail just seemed a little less than the usual service given. I'm sure not every visit can be pure pleasure. That said I'll be back again I'm sure.

Fantastic service from David & Sophie at the reception. They know how to make guests feel special on vacation. Keep up the great service and friendly smile. We will be back to visit again from NZ.

Great Location as not far from the main area of Surfers Paradise. Tram stop across the road & it is very efficient, used a few times. Thought Breakfast buffet a bit overpriced for 10 & 6 year olds

I really recommend do NOT stay hear terrible accommodation air-conditioning barely ever work personally complained to the motel 4 times about it not working and witnessed other guests complaining but still didn't fix it , they rewarded us with a free buffet breakfast wich if you like cold eggs cold sausages cold bacon cold bake beans well I highly recommend it then 😄 the staff in the restaurant are terribly barely understand English, rooms are really poor scratchers and marks all over the walls ,balconies look like they haven't been maintained in the last 10 years.. should re name it to ibis

The food is bad. This is medium well in their oppion. It is an unusual ability that could make every food no matter how easy they used to be delicious to be unable to eat. I have to say it is an unusual talent. Please， if anyone of you wanna eat some thing fine， go somewhere else！

Our expectations were exceeded starting with David at reception. Our room on 15 th floor was so comfortable. The bedding was excellent. Views were amazing and we really enjoyed staying. Wish we could have stayed longer.

I didn't know what to expect as I have stayed at many hotels and there is always something. But I have to say the word quality is very fitting to this hotel. The rooms absolutely amazing, with excellent views and comfort. The hotel is in a perfect location for the beach and other key locations in the GC. In saying all that thought the key to the hotel was non of that but mainly the service. The staff are nice and amazing in every way. They go over and beyond to make sure you are satisfied. They walk around and ask if everything is OK and give you a smile. During breakfast service there is a young man that checks off your room number and he will not just place you anywhere, he actually says hello and chats nicely and whatever you ask him, he will actually go and make it happen. Very friendly and professional. The room service, not only is it reasonably priced but comes up quickly and tastes amazing. The cleaning staff are very nice and they if there is anything else you want cleaned or need. I asked for a bottle of water she gave me 4. On top of that the prices per room in this hotel are very reasonable and not extreme like other hotels around. Honestly amazing staff and amazing hotel. My nxt visit to GC I won't need to shop around for a hotel, why risk testing out another place when you already have quality over here. Crown see you in my next trip.

Do you like paying Top dollar to be made to feel like a 2nd class citizen? Where everyone else’s money is worth more than yours? Then this hotel is the place for you. My wife & I came for our first wedding anniversary, hotel is nice, staff really friendly (although those in the restaurant could learn to smile to make people feel welcome) - upon arrival we were greeted with champagne (nothing to open the bottle with) and some chocolate covered strawberries and macaroons that had melted to the plate. Had cleaning staff bang on the door like the police were raiding despite a Do Not Disturb sign being acknowledged with a slip earlier. The 24/7 arcade room they advertise is a fraud it’s all skill test machines - with fake Temu style prizes such as Ninja Turtles with the incorrect letters on the front - while they offer Token bundles in return for cash it is a rort as only TWO skill test games take tokens everything else is cash. Oh and now the fun part - where everyone else’s money is better than ours. We are smokers, I am also on medicinal cannabis through a vape - however due to being smokers you are a 2nd class citizen in their eyes, dog crap on the bottom of their shoe… No smoking anywhere on the property, you are shafted outside into a corner with no seating, an ashtray everyone just dumps their coffee cups into and no covering - which meant every time it starts to rain you get soaked. If you are wanting to sit they spend so much money trying to be fancy they can’t bolt a seat to the wall so you end up looking like a homeless hobo asking for change on the side of the hotel rather than someone who has spent over $1k to spend the weekend. People walk past looking at you like a hobo especially when it starts raining and you have to look like a drowned rat.

Joseph was very nice and support. Well approachable and has a welcoming gesture. Facility good area. Easy to access transport and exit with a car. My kids love the swimming pool. They had a great experience.

This is our second time coming back to this hotel. Every time, we are greeted with a very responsive and friendly staff. This time Antonella handled our booking very swiftly. A big plus point for me was when she noticed where we come from immediately just from seeing our passports. It made us feel really welcomed. The rooms are always scenic, clean, and spacious. I can't decide which one I love best, the previous room with a jacuzzi or the king junior suite with the beach view. Overall, this was another 10/10 experience.

We had a great experience at Crowne Plaza Gold Coast Surfers Paradise! Great location. Tram station and bus stop are in front of the hotel. It is easy to travel using public transport. The property itself was stunning, and the room was super clean and daily taken care of. We were on the 12th floor with an ocean view. It was such an amazing experience being able to see surfers paradise at night. The Horizon was our highlight. We loved all the seafood in the Horizon restaurant with amazing view of the Gold Coast city. We enjoyed every bit of the breakfast in the Relish restaurant. The staff were friendly, reception looked after our needs and they always made us feel welcome. They included kids to their programs. Thanks for all your hard work and providing excellent service to your guests!

We had a six night stay at the Crowne Plaza. The food and pool were fantastic and the staff were wonderful. However, the rooms are not sound proofed whatsoever. We had extremely noisy neighbours the first two nights. The remaining days we had people who were unwell next to us and could hear every conversation, every cough, sneeze etc. If you value your peace and quiet in your room do not stay here.

Nothing but exceptional service from the moment we checked in. Cleanliness of our room was impeccable, write down to the small touches. Ariell from reception went above and beyond to make us feel special with a wonderful card and desserts. Would definitely stay here again

We booked for 1 night and then extended to 3 nights which was testament to the service and facilities we enjoyed at Crowne Plaza. From the staff we met at reception including Arielle, Antonella and Sophie we received nothing but smiles and efficient service. Nina and her colleagues in housekeeping and Moro and the wait staff in Relish also all provided great service with a smile. Good location close to a tram/rail stop giving easy access to shops and the Casino. Highly recommended.

This hotel is fantastic. Lovely rooms with fantastic views, great facilities including a large warm pool and a decent gym! Staff were fantastic from the management to the breakfast staff, they were all great. Location is perfect, in between surfers and Broadbeach with the tram just outside. Would highly recommend- we stayed as a family for 7 nights!

Very bad services, I normally don't leave reviews but this hotel management is really really bad. We booked via booking.com for 7 nights and stay there only 1 night as room wasn't comfortable, dirty smelly carpet. Advised duty manager did everything from my end to solve the issue but no outcome had to leave that hotel as I have to book another one. Lodged complaint follow all the process despite there is no help we received no refund no compensation. We paid $2700 and stayed only 1 night. Please please do not book this hotel. Save your money and time.

Unser bisher schlechtestes Erlebnis in einem CROWNE PLAZA! Meine Frau und ich reisen seit mehr als 45 Jahren um die Welt und wir sind ab und zu in einem Hotel dieser Marke. Dass die Badewanne selbst am Tag unserer immer noch schmutzig war wie am ersten Tag, zeigt dass die Entscheidungsträger im Hotel das Wort HYGIENE nicht verstanden haben. Das beste Restaurant im Hotel war geschlossen und im anderen die Musik so laut, dass eine Unterhaltung nicht möglich war. Gleich bei der Begrüssung wurde uns mitgeteilt, dass kein Lamm erhältlich wäre. Kein Lamm in Australien ist ungefähr dasselbe wie kein Käse in der Schweiz, Deutschland oder Österreich. Ein Witz! Ebenso war kein Mineralwasser mit Kohlensäure erhältlich! Beim Frühstück fehlte Butter für mehr als eine halbe Stunde aber auch Müslischalen etc. Und auch beim Frühstück war die Musik sehr laut und nicht dem Anlass angemessen. Ich könnte jetzt noch eine Stunde weiterfahren mit der Aufzählung, aber die Zeit dazu ist mir zu kostbar.

We stayed here based on reviews. Customer service at front desk is very good, air con works well and comfy beds. But that's where it stops. The hotel rooms are very runs down. Mold on the shower doors, shower temp is shocking watch the water does not burn you it changes so much. You call house keeping several times and no answer. Beds were done every morning but the floor stayed dirty and not vacuumed. Not once did I get an answer on the first ring. The food buffet is cold and always running low. The coffee machine at the buffet hardly worked and there was no compensation. You would have to wait 15-20 mins in line to order a payed coffee and they still had no idea what were they doing. Ordered drinks at night and did not know what to do they asked about 3 staff members just to make a couple of drinks up. The elevators are very run down and played up a lot while we were here. I just think it was not worth paying almost $700 per night. Please read reviews properly before staying here.

When we arrived I complained about the state of the room. We booked an ocean view junior suite and paid close to $1700 for 3 nights so we had high expectations. The room was filthy so we got moved to the same room but a few storeys up. We got complimentary breakfast for 3 days due to the stuff around. I was really appreciative of that hence the 2 stars. The rest of the stay was horrible. The aircon didn’t work despite my complaints to the reception nothing was fixed. The rooms are dated and the tvs only have basic channels. The showers are full of mould and I was very itchy at night sleeping in the bed. I am heavily pregnant and have a small child so sleeping at night was really uncomfortable and showering was not pleasant. Unfortunately the place we came to relax has left us even more exhausted due to the lack of sleep. Staff are lovely though but unfortunately we won’t be back.

We really enjoyed our stay with Crowne Plaza in Surfers Paradise. The customer service from Kunal and Sophie was amazing, they really took care of us during our stay and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable. The location was great, very close to Surfers Paradise and Broadbeach. The Casino and Pacific Fair Plaza were not far away either. Easy to get an uber around and the Florida Gardens tram stop is right outside the building. Fantastic amenities and worth checking out the Restaurant Horizon Sky Dining on the top floor of the hotel. Great views of the city.

Wonderful experience. Stayed on the 20th floor with 2 rooms for 7 nights. I must say, best experience ever! Our room got serviced almost every day. The beds were so soft and comfortable I slept like a baby. The only downside was that we had no soap for the entire trip and had to use our own. Other than that the relish restaurant downstairs has beautiful steaks, the pool is just amazing however I did find a poo at the bottom of the pool. Definitely off putting but the spa saved it all! The arcade was fun for the kids and the tennis was fun to play with family. Nice and close to the beach and altogether a fun holiday. Checking in to checking out was smooth sailing. Definitely will be coming back

Positive: The hotel has lot of kids activities , they morning staff was good and kept our bags and made us comfortable. Negative: The room which was allocated to us was assigned to somebody else and we both had access to room. Which I have not seen before and was clear violation of privacy. Staff didnt want to hear about the feedback and was completely ignorant.

Good value for money 4 star hotel in middle of broadbeach and Surfers paradise area.Easy tram access and good continental breakfast buffet spread though same menu everyday.Quite area below the hotel, if need lively or direct access to tourist hotspots then choose hotels at cavill avenue or broadbeach

The Crown Plaza is an excellent hotel , it’s in a good position, and the staff are great. But there’s one thing that I’d like to point out to the management of this hotel. The pool sun beds are the WORST of the WORST. They are rock solid , made of hard plastic ,and are very uncomfortable to lay on. They should have cushions on them. At every other hotel that I’ve been to, sun beds such as these, always have cushions on them. I have just come up to my room right now , and I’ve got a sore back, after laying on them for no more than an hour. I had to revert to putting 3 towels on top of them , to make them more comfortable to lay on, and I still got myself a sore back. It might be a good idea for the manager in charge , to go to the pool area, and lay on one of these sun beds for a while , and then he will see what I mean. That’s the reason why I gave this hotel 4 stars instead of 5.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Crowne Plaza Surfers Paradise, Gold Coast, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and professionalism by David at the front desk, who went above and beyond to ensure our check-in process was smooth and efficient. His friendliness and attention to detail truly set the tone for our stay. Our room on the 24th floor was nothing short of spectacular. The room was spacious, immaculately clean, and featured an incredible view that took our breath away every morning. The housekeeping service was top-notch, ensuring the room remained spotless throughout our stay and that all amenities were perfectly replenished. The hotel’s location is also a major highlight – it’s perfectly situated close to the beach, restaurants, and other attractions, making it an ideal spot for anyone exploring the Gold Coast. The only minor downside was the breakfast organization. While the variety of food was good, the experience felt slightly chaotic, likely due to the crowd. However, I understand this might have been because of the busy season. It didn’t take away from the overall excellent experience we had. The exceptional service, cleanliness, and unbeatable location of Crowne Plaza make it a standout choice, and I would absolutely recommend it to anyone visiting the Gold Coast. I would like to thank the Hotel for Great Hospitality service, they are the best! Especially Ariell at the reception. She made us feel so welcome and provided us of all we need during & after check in. Room is superb clean and with beautiful pool view @ the balcony. Parking is easy as well. Thanks!

We had an outstanding experience at Crowne Plaza Gold Coast! The property itself is stunning, offering a perfect blend of luxury and comfort, but what truly sets it apart is the exceptional staff. Every team member we encountered went above and beyond to ensure our stay was memorable. A special mention goes to Romeo, the manager, who exemplified professionalism and warmth. He was attentive to every detail, making sure we felt valued and well-cared for throughout our visit. I can't recommend this place enough and will definitely be returning!

The staff at this hotel make it - they were unfailingly attentive, professional and helpful. The hotel itself is not tired in terms of being clean and well maintained, but oh dear it is outdated. My sense is it has not been updated since the when it was built (70’s?) and it is bland. Don’t expect a glamorous or cutting edge architectural experience. Rather the experience is more like an upscale motel. As long as you recognise that you won’t be disappointed. House keeping is as very hit or miss , our room was not vacuumed or the bins emptied for the first three days of our stay.
