Jaycar Electronics Gold Coast

We are most upset with the customer service in this Burleigh store. The man grunted at my wife when all she was looking for was a battery charger and she wasn't able to tell them what voltage she needed. She brought the product with her into the shop and they were not prepared to help or offer any assistance or advice. This is extremely disappointing as I asked her to visit this store due to them being a small business with more specialised stock and knowledge. Sorry Jaycar, we wont be stepping foot in your store again, nor can provide any recommendations to your store, or other Jaycar's in the future. We will go somewhere that is polite, at the very least.

Rudest owner, sales people have no idea. Think it’s okay to sell faulty products

Lady served my husband she didn't have a clue. I phoned before and spoke to a man who said they had plenty of what I was after. The lady took 25 mins to find said item. Not happy.

Thanks to Anka & her knowledge of solar systems I am now more knowledgeable on how to set up my own. Anka spent some 20 minutes helping me for which I am very grateful. Anka is an asset to the staff at Jaycar, Burleigh 👍👍👍👍👍

Went to this store this morning to buy a plug for my son's Atari the gent that served us was fantastic nothing was a problem considering it was only a small sale the people in this store are fantastic.some other need to take what customer service is about.once again t that gent well done.

It’s 9.25am and I’ve been waiting for this store to open on the back of a long weekend along with about 8 other people. Website and sign on shop says Opens at 8.30. Looks like they have either gone bust or can’t run a business. Get your act together JayCar and stop wasting people’s time

This is one of my favourite stores to visit I look at everything in store just to see if there's anything new that will take my fancy and I always get good advice that leads me to making the best choice I'll always see this store as my happy place.

Huge appreciation for Darrel the store manager for his willingness to help trouble shoot an issue with the battery/inverter/solar controller within our van He was very dilligent and curious to help solve the issue as well as recommend how to stop this from happening in future. All for free. Us newbie travellers/van life got educated and our proble was fixed! Thank you Darrel. Georgia and Arturo (melbourne-nites).

Absolutely exemplary service! I came in with a problem with my solar regulator and the guy got to the bottom of it very quickly and was super helpful. So much so that I decided to make a random purchase after such good service, just to leave some more money with the store. Really impressed.

Limited stock of limited parts. Know it all staff that don't know so much. I needed 20 switches of a specific type, they had 9, but offer discounted prices for 10.but they don't stock 10. Prices are ridiculously high 10,000% mark ups are the norm. Even for trade card holders its unaffordably expensive. I left unable to complete a very simple circuit due to incorrect parts many many times. Can't even get basic e-bike wires or connectors after 6 years of politely asking. No three phase stuff, hardly any SMT parts. most of the stock was available 40+ years ago. Nothing cutting edge in store. Just old out of date stuff from other shops discount bins.

Great customer service

Terrible service.. no customer sales skills whatsoever. Goods on special and still some left pre Xmas but refused to match the sale price just finished. Manager don't give a flying and preferred to leave it unsold. I run a business and would have his ball's for that poor decision

They had exactly what I wanted at an excellent price and the service was grest too.

Had a gig and my av converter broke right beforehand. They were closing but Harrison the absolute legend waited 10 minutes for me to arrive and still get the converter. Best service!

The older gentleman who helped me was the most genuine and well meaning guy I've had the pleasure of being served by in a long while. 10/10, will absolutely reccomend your company to others in the future. Top stuff.

Call to ask for a price match. Said they won’t price match due to the closest autobahn not having stock, despite the next closest 4 autobarns having stock, they focused on the fact that the closest autobarn didn’t which doesn’t actually matter. Should offer Australia wide price match. Staff have no idea. I’d recommend staying away.

Great bunch of blokes. Only needed a data cable for a diagnostic set up at work. Really good help both with supply of product and assisted with eliminating a problem we had at our end. Highly Recommended!

My 9yr old son is an electronics geek and Jaycar is his favourite store to visit to purchase his nutty professor tools. Today we went in and were served by Matthew who very diligently and patiently listened to all my son's questions, gave have him some advice, and showed him how to do a few things. Fantastic customer service by Matthew and he made my son feel that what he had to say was important , and it inspired him to keep on geeking!! Thank you Matthew.

Wow.. thought I may have been the only person to experience this, but reading the other reviews seems to be a pattern here.. the majority of the staff are great but Natasha.. all I can say if you don't like your job or dealing with Customer service LEAVE! It's obvious not for you... Other than that the rest of my experience there was great and very helpful.

Had an amazing experience with this store. I bought a whole bunch of stuff and when I had to return some they didn’t blink an eye even though I had ripped some of the packaging. There is really a familial small store vibe. I think the sales rep who took care of me was named Wayne... great guy.

I had a horrible experience at the store, went to exchange something and instead of being helpful a staff member named Natasha raised her voice at my daughter and I and called me names. I asked to speak to the manager, she advised she was the manager and I couldn’t complain anywhere else. Then I found out she is jut a sales representative and not a manager. The other manager apologised for her inparoptiate nehaviour. I am completely shocked and will never shop at this store again. Poor customer experience.

Went on a Saturday and was forced to negotiate the crawl south on the M1. Deplorable traffic conditions. Looking for a particular part requiring tech nouse and phoned Friday. Not only was my call remembered but the correct part was produced to our delight. Very capable staff and amazing stock range. Well worth the frustrating traffic conditions.

Visiting Gold Coast from the U.S. and stopped by the Burleigh Heads store to purchase some electronic components. Awesome selection at great prices! The sales rep was friendly, highly knowledgeable and a pleasure to talk to. Damn I wish we had Jaycar shops in the States; ones like this one.

Good friendly staff

Purchased a home alarm system on Wednesday and the battery in the remote went flat yesterday when I attempted to arm it for the night. Went to Jaycar this morning and was offered a similar, never heard of the name, Chinese battery as a replacement, which could probably last as long as the original. Had to go to Kmart and purchase 2 new Energiser batteries, as I replaced the obscurely named Chinese battery in the motion sensor as well. Very dissatisfied.

My missus went to pick up a power adaptor and dealt with the most obnoxious overweight sales rep. Completely useless and patronising. Why would he work in a customer facing role of he can't deal amicably with customers. He first tried to oversell her a variable voltage power adaptor, presumably at a higher margin. These people need to be called out so when they wonder why no one buys retail and buys online they'll know why.
