The reception is not accomodating and rude I will never recommend this place due to lack of service

The best pools by far!!

Absolutely terrible the room was run down, smelt and the back door locks didn’t actually lock so it wasn’t even safe. Expensive for such a terrible experience recommend avoid.

Got a three BDRM apartment with lockable garage. All the units centred around a pool and bbq area. Equipped kitchen and washer/dryer in the garage. Very comfortable although free wifi so slow as to be almost unusable.

Great room layout and perfect for a family of 5. Plenty of space to relax, all the amenities that we needed and a welcoming and well kept pool to swim in. The after hours check in instructions were simple and easy to follow. Would loved to have stayed longer. Information about nearby cafes, supermarkets and other relevant shops would have been helpful.

Parking is horrible for people who live there and have more than 1 car . Visiting is also horrible(leave car on parallel street and walk 15 mins with all your stuff) Rooms have bad ventilation and mold growing on Walls. Not quiet place at all ! Garden and pool is well maintanced. BBQ area is good size. Traffic works around this area makes it so bad place to live and stay if you want comfort stay. But hopefully in furure it gets better.

Close friends live here. Nice complex. A bit of a drama with traffic with the tram works at present.

Lovely & relaxing pool, clean spacious apartment . Close to Woollies,beach etc. You will need to walk bags up a few stairs only. Leafy oasis right on the highway .

Staff were very accommodating and friendly, the apartment had everything you need from full sized fridge/freezer to washing machine/dryer and cooking facilities! Couches were comfy, bed was comfy and the apartment had that spacious/ fresh and airy feel to it! We had a front balcony with pool views and even a back balcony off main bedroom! Could not fault! Best resort beach style pool you could ask for as well… Great value for money and centrally located on the Gold Coast - close to beaches, pacific fair, restaurants etc. will definitely be back! AAA+++

Excellent location , great pool, relaxing surroundings. Unit very comfortable had everything we needed and if not the helpful reception staff were able to assist us. Parking onsite for our vehicle. Great family place to holiday. Thank you Diamond Sands we will be back for more!

Very happy with the apartment.

Overall the unit was ok in saying that it was tired it needed work , the hot water was luke warm at best and one of the toilet cistern was leaking .

Great place for a family getaway

Absolutely terrible. Rooms weren’t clean, insufficient supplies - only one towel allowed per person. No pool towels. Arrogant and rude staff. Paid and organised late checkout only to have a knock on the door at 10am to tell us to leave, when we told them we’d arranged late check out we were told it was too bad they needed the room immediately. We tried to ask politely for time to pack up and leave as were were travelling with our children we were told again too bad you need to get out. All round a disappointing place, would not recommend, don’t let the far reaching term ‘resort’ fool you.

Nice big rooms pool nice including spa

We have had many holidays on the Gold Coast staying at different resorts and high rise hotels, this time we opted for Diamond Sands Resort in a ground floor unit by the pool. Our stay of 11 nights could not have been more relaxing and perfect in every way. Peter at reception is most helpful and willing to assist in every possible way to make the stay enjoyable. Very clean, well appointed kitchen, comfortable bedding with spotless bathrooms. Will be staying again.

Great space for a family getaway. Kids loved the pool, especially the beach entry.

Although needing a leap into 2021 - very tired-this is a very good place for family's - stsff/management were very good all round - grounds well kept - should be 4 star if not for needing upgrade good easy stroll to the beach pacific fair and cafes

Lovely accommodation the unit had everything we needed

We arrived to find our accomodation disgusting, there was fescues in the toilet brush holder along with a urine smelling carpet. There was stains on most furniture and furniture falling apart, flu wire doors with holes in them and an air-conditioner that was locked so we could not use it. Our stay was for approximately 2 hours while we where in discussions for a refund ... don’t bother with this third world accomodation.. I have several photos that I will forward to my travel agent for future punters...Choose wisely..

Nice place but lots of residents not many holiday people

Worst place to stay if you own a decent 4x4. No parking accommodate at all. Extremly low parking and next to no road parking. Unit not the cleanest either.

The unit we stayed in was very outdated with a horrible feature wall that made it dark we had to keep the lights on during the day. There were cockroaches in the apartment and the plumbing made horrible noises when the taps in the master bedroom was turned on. Finding rubbish bins were difficult and bins had no labels. Our apartment did not have enough cooking utensils. The pool however was the main highlight and we enjoyed using it every day. I think it depends on which Unit you get as they are all privately owned. I noticed some units were very modern.

A very average place with a good pool and in a good location but I would not stay there again. There was no aircon upstairs and with the temperatures in the mid 30’s this led to sleepless nights and lots of complaints from the 4 kids which of course is never pleasant. We also saw a few cockroaches which I detest. The pool is very nice but other than that it’s a no from me.

We had a wonderful stay. The unit was a bit dated (90's decorating at its finest 👌) but it was clean, the beds were firm and super comfy, great location, an amazing pool and had everything we needed. No cockroaches for us. Perfect for a weekend away with a 3 year old.

Pool needs a cover. It's like a warm bath.

The pool is great and staff were nice too! The accommodation was dated though and not well looked after... If you're on a budget and have a family this is perfect for you, but don't have high expectations of the facilities.

Place has a great pool for young families. But the rooms are fairly outdated, beds are hard and everything is not particularly well kept. We had to unblock the drain on our balcony so that water would stop pooling and making the balcony unusable

The size of the 3bedroom unit good but it was dirty, dated in need of maintenance, the ensuite smelt of sewage, bathroom pipes corroded, tiles broken, very disappointed. ..

The rooms were disgusting, unclean and the bedding looked like it hadn’t been washed.||I have never experienced this kind of bad room hygiene in all of my years of traveling interstate and abroad.||The room had cockroaches too which was unbelievable.

Rooms were clean and the kids loved the pool

My wife & I stayed here in a 3 bedroom apartment overlooking the pool. Good late check in process via the phone at reception & locked key box & map for directions. Lovely table & chair deck area at the front for breakfast, & cards later in the day. Apartment was clean, all amenities were fine, & made good use of the kitchen. Wifi was a bit hit & miss, but apparently in the middle of the area upgrading to NBN. ||Location was great for us, our girls were more than happy next to the pool (on the fabulous pool lounges), and generally very quiet pool area. Looked really good for little kids, with fun areas & sandy beach zone to keep them happy.||Resort is largely owners, so it tends to be fairly quiet. ||Location was great with easy access to the beach for walks to Burleigh Heads, and really good local restaurants with a great start to the trip : The Olive Tree Espresso Cafe about 200m, local convenience store 300m, the famous mini golf some 500m away & approx 1.5km to the pacific fair shopping centre. ||There's a range of take away nearby to cover dinner, plus surf clubs. Highlight was a fantastic meal at Hellenika (Greek) some 1.3km away, which was quality (just pre-order the lamb shoulder), and pick a quality vino (there's plenty). And a wonderful seafood meal at Seascape in Surfers, a little pricey but worth the visit. ||Only 20min by car into Surfers. Prob 35min to theme parks.

Great set up, and loved the palms surrounding the pool, which we used most days. Had everything we needed. Loved staying there.

The beds were Awful, absolutely shocking. After a week my back is unbelievably sore, the noise of a family above our room was like a herd of elephants about to crash through the roof, when I went to discuss this with the male receptionist I was told rudely I was welcome to go stay elsewhere!!! Will Never stay there again!!!! Will never recommend this to Anyone! Buyer beware

Had a fantastic time with the family

Had a couple of 3 bedroom air bnb apartments, number 50 and 77, they were spacious, modern, decorated beautifully, the pool has a sandy beach and is amazing, l would highly recommended these 2 apartments at Diamond Sands Resort... I will be back for sure also the hosts were amazing and veey easy to deal with.....

Didn't find the lady at front office very friendly. Was told that pest control had been, however found at least 9 very alive Cockroches in our unit. However the swimming pool was wonderful.

We needed emergency housing as our house was burnt down. we were set up to stay at Diamond Sands, and this has been a wonderful place to heal and stay and relax. We had room for family to stay and the staff here have been very supportive and helpful. The pool and BBQ areas are really family oriented and safe. A big thumbs up for Diamond Sands. MERMAID BEACH QLD. AU.

Nice large apartment. Good location.

Stayed here last night and although the place was clean and quite large and reasonably priced, it was quite disgusting to go out and come back to at least 15 or more cockroaches. They were on the couch, all under the table. It was disgusting. On the paper provided for additional information, there is a warning about cockroaches. However says to ‘stomp’ them out or use fly spray - to which there was none. We were all very tempted to leave and not stay the night as we had never seen anything as disgusting as that. Would not recommend!

What a fantastic place, the pool is absolutely amazing and the accommodation is really lovely.... Would highly recommend it..😁😁😂
