Great welcoming staff
We checked into the hotel really easy and seamlessly which is great, however we then went out on for our sunday night. Came back after an awesome dinner to go to bed, after a short stint our rooms safe kept going off. This went on for 5 hours, every 40 seconds it would just go off again and again. We had an awful sleep to say the least and just put our whole weekend on the back foot which is so disappointing. Not being able to contact anybody to get it fixed until the morning really ruined our stay. The next night we stayed in to watch my wifes weekly tv program, and of course you cant access the wifi or connect to the tv because why would you be able to in 2025. It was all in all a terrible experience, its a shame cause the staff were so nice. We wont be staying again.
Kid's absolutely love it and love the water slide 🛝
Absolutely the worst experience. The room was dirty, with trash from previous guests and dust on the bed. When I reported this to the reception they were very reluctant to resolve the issue. The woman working on the afternoon of February 11th spoke poor English and provided the worst service (made me get my keys twice). Their manager never came out of the office and made me leave the hotel. I want to let you know that this is a really stupid hotel to stay in and ruined my family trip. The service from the staff there was absolutely the worst. They should not be working in a hotel.
Stayed at mantra with our family of 5. We had fun using the pool and sun baking. The beach was so close as well. Our room was nice but but missing utensils for cooking and our stove wasn’t working which took 2 days to get fixed.
Worst hotel and worst customer service. Was given a dirty room that hadn't been cleaned from last guest, even blood on the walls and bedsheets and basically being told too bad too sad having to fight for the tiniest compensation which didn't even make up for it and then didn't receive our mid stay clean either. now having to fight weeks later for the pathetic less then 1 night stay refund they offered and still haven’t received weeks after leaving.
As a frequent Accor hotel guest, and reading the write up on the Mantra Crown Towers GC, i was a little disappointed at a few aspects that weren't as described. The room was tidy but tired. Doesn't look like its been updated since inception in the 90's. Pool area was alcohol free which was not advised. Pool bar/cafe was not advised ahead of time that it was alcohol free but also cash only. This seems very strange. I would have thought that being advertised as a resort, a 'pool bar' would actually be a bar. Aside from that, the parking was good, staff were friendly enough, room and facilities were tidy, and the overall experience was good. I wouln't be a returning customer though to this property as i feel there are other better options in the area,
From the moment we walked in we were greeted with a beautiful and clean lobby, a great big smile from the receptionist and a good chat, including the receptionist's excitement about where we were from and how they wanted to visit sometime. So after giving him a few tips on where to go and what to see when he comes down our way, he gave us a very clear explanation of the facilities and how to find our spot in the car park. The car park is an excellent set up with your own allocated space, including a lockable bollard to ensure no one takes your spot while you're out and about shopping, sightseeing or enjoying one of the theme parks. We found the location absolutely perfect for us, only 3 blocks up from Cavill Avenue, so close enough to get straight into the action but far enough to not hear a thing if you decide to have an early night while Surfer's parties on. Pool hours are fantastic, 6am to 10pm, perfect for that early morning dip before starting your day, and late enough for an after dinner swim to wind down from your day. There is even a poolside kiosk open from 7am, and they do a great breakfast and have plenty of breakfast and lunch options to choose from. Yet another little bonus is the Chiang Mai Thai restaurant, located underneath the hotel between the Lobby and the Pool area. Without a doubt the best Thai I've ever tried in my life! Don't miss your chance to check it out when you visit! While we did have a couple of small hiccups at the very start - after settling into the room we noticed one of the bins under the kitchen sink had not been emptied, so we let the same receptionist know straight away before heading out for an evening wander (he even remembered which room we were in, we were very impressed about that), when we got back we had a clean bin and a handwritten note with some complimentary chocolates! VERY impressed. One other small issue was that there was quite an unpleasant odour on our level when we first arrived, we put it down to maybe a lack of ventilation combined with the humidity, but there had definitely been something spilled on the carpet which we think may have added to it. However, after it had not gone away after a couple of days we let one of the receptionists know in the morning when we headed out for the day. She told us that she would get the cleaners onto it as soon as they'd finished their room servicing, to deodorise and clean out the rubbish chute area. By the time we got back, while there was still a slightly noticeable smell, it was far better than it had been. Simply cannot fault the service we received, location absolutely perfect, secure car park provided peace of mind, excellent pool area with fantastic opening hours. Man, I just cannot think of anything bad to say about the place. Mantra Crown Towers will be our first choice next time we visit the Gold Coast, and we already can't wait to go back!

Nice room with good view. The main problem was the safe was not operational. Maintenance replaced the battery. That night and the next the safe was regularly making beeping sounds and waking us up. The safe was on but not working properly. I reported this to staff and they took the battery out and stated they will get maintenance to fix it. For the last few days of our time there nobody came to fix it. The battery was still out when we checked out. Also, our paid and allocated parking space was stolen and we were given another space for one night, but the entire week we were at the hotel our allocated parking space was taken by the same car every day. The alternative space we were given was more difficult to park in.
Right near the beach which was great, we walked there every day, awesome pool! The room we were in was a little musty but we were mainly in the pool, bars beach anyways.
We were staying at Mantra for 6 days . It was our first stay at this hotel as our friends were telling us that its kids friendly and yes it was amazing. This Hotel met our expectations. We were staying in a fully renovated 1 bedroom apartment. On our arrival we were served by Gurav who had excellent customer service thank you . Facilities:outside kids pool ,outside big pool area, indoor heated pool and sauna, gym, outdoor heated sauna ,and Cafe and food kiosk .- 4.5 star rating (there is always space for something to be improved) Hotel :clean and tidy. Staff:amazing ,and approachable always there to help .Thank you. Location: 10 minutes walk to Surfers paradise, or choose tram 0.50 cents 1 min walking distance to tram station. Definitely coming back and stay at Mantra Crown Tower. Thanks guys for making our holiday enjoyable. ☺️
Dirty Appartment! Room 203 on level 2 was dirty and uncomfortable. Everywhere I looked I could see filth. Dirty coffee cups, dirty cutlery, dust and dirt behind the couch, dirty couch pillows, wall plaster in second bedroom was falling apart and taped with blue tape, it also stunk like mould and dampness, bathroom sliding door was covered in dust, shower handles were so old and stiff, Rubish bin was stinky, the bed in the main room was shocking, the doonas provided were dirty, lights in bedroom did not work we had to call the maintenance guy to put light bulbs in, the .....I could go on and on. Terrible!! Do not stay in room 203 on level 2. EVER!!!
The location was great. Easy to access light rail and beach. Hotel was rundown, unclean and had an awful smell in the main lobby and our floors. Self contained apartments however they came with dirty utensils and cutlery. Out of our 5 day stay I only had 1 staff member great us with a smile and was happy to go above and beyond to help place our daughters bed down after check in. Other staff seemed young and not bothered or willing to help. We had an allocated parking spot however every time we came to access it, it was taken. We didn’t even have a chance to place the bollards up to save the spot. Originally choose this hotel as it looked child friendly with great pool amenities however after the first day we felt the pool was unclean and rundown.
Absolutely fantastic mini break. Tia on Reception was amazing! Nothing was too much trouble, and Tia went out of her way to help us achieve our goals. Will definitely be back to Mantra Crown Towers! Thanks, Col.
Mantra Crown Towers has amazing facilities and an unbeatable location! The lagoon pool with a sandy beach, indoor heated pool, and waterslide were fantastic for the kids, and the on-site Thai restaurant was a great bonus. Being so close to Surfers Paradise beach, restaurants, and shops made our stay even better. The only downside was that our level had a bad smell, which was disappointing. Hopefully, it was just a one-off issue. Otherwise, a great place for a family holiday, and we’d definitely come back!
Pools, kids slide, restaurant and canteen is what made our holiday great. Our room was not clean, upon arrival it wasn’t ready at check in we had to wait. Air con control not working in room, maintenance came to fix it, after 30mins it froze again so we were unable to adjust temp. Leaking pipe under the sink, slow wifi. Worst part wasn’t that our room overlooked the construction site but the fact it was directly above the bin bay, every morning between 4-530am the rubbish truck came and emptied the big industrial bins, I brought ear plugs to help drown out the noise. If I knew this I would’ve got ocean view just to have had a good nights sleep.
Wish I read the reviews before booking, overall gross, nothing like photos, photos of rooms have been highly edited. Should have known it wasn’t going to be good when I was asked to sign a non refundable agreement before checking in.
We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite which was super spacious but very tired and worn. Additional bed wasn't available on arrival but showed up before bedtime. Having a washing machine is handy, especially as they don't service towels for less than 7-night stays. The lack of servicing is frustrating when supplies to clean the place yourself are also not provided. Bedding is super light with only sheets and thin polar fleece blankets provided - need to manage aircon to keep warm. Our lock on the door would not work, rang reception to get it fixed, was told that the mechanism needed to be replaced which did not happen during our entire stay. Shower leaked constantly causing broken sleep, regardless of how tight the taps were turned. Our designated carpark was taken by an unknown car and no end of getting the building management to help sort worked. We had to find a park outsde the secured parking. For $6000 to stay here we expected far better from Mantra and the Accor group. We will not be staying here again or recommending this to others. Location is an easy walk to beach and downtown Surfers. Easy to head out to theme parks, Harbour Town etc.
We paid 4,000 for the rooms to not meet the expectations of that amount, no aircon, very dirty, don’t give basic necessities, very old. Do not get attracted by its views as it’s rooms don’t meet normal expectations. Please renovate!!
Had a 2B for 1W and then moved to a 1B for 4N. 2B had great views, but tired & in need of update to rooms. 1B views a let down as on a lower floor, similar condition to 2B, plus it smelt awful on entry, Poor cleaning & had to get housekeeping back. Rooms are spacious. Disappointed that a room transfer couldn't be done when moving from 2B to 1B, it was too hard for them and was just treat as a new booking so we had to pack, store our luggage and move car parks once the new room was available, this is poor process and/or customer service. If I have to pack & wait, I'll try a different hotel next time. There was an abandoned car in our allocated car park so had to request another spot. There didn't seem to be any urgency to move it. Staff were great & effective responding to requests quickly, didn't come across any bad ones others have mentioned. Pools are fabulous, towels provided., kids will have a great time. Good location & also next to tram stop making travel easy. Lifts are quick & there are enough to service the floors, you don't wait long which is great. Having an issue with crediting my Accor membership unfortunately, they are trying to put 2024 nights into 2025 so be aware of that if you're a member & travelling over the new year. *There needs to be more pro active behaviour from managing agents Accor. They need to inspect these apartments and set a minimum standard for the private owners, not just collect fees for letting below standard apartments. Especially with the crazy pricing at peak periods. Summary, if you look past the apartment presentation, you can have a good time based in this well located, spacious building.
The rooms are terrible. The first room we were given was a nightmare. 809 stunk , water damage throughout dirty bed linen. So bad we asked to be moved We were moved to a slightly nicer room with someones toenail clippings all over the balcony. Mould in the bathroom. Most of the staff were lovely though and apologetic as even they were embarrassed. No fresh towels over 5 days either and when asked they said they didn’t have spare linen. The lady that owns the kiosk is disgustingly rude! We came with our large family 10+ ppl and all experienced her rudeness. She was so demeaning to the young girl being trained to work there. Not to mention she only excepts strictly cash only … TAX evasion much??? Even her husband is rude. At times we went to Woolies and bought snacks just to avoid going there Horrible experience. The pool is the only positive, great for kids.

We enjoyed our stay at the Mantra Crown Towers. The location is great with easy access to the beach, restaurants and trams. The rooms were clean although a bit dated on the carpeting and finishes. Our fridge was old but still worked. The pool was clean and the children had heaps of fun swimming. The pool cafe was great and the food was delicious and the staff were friendly and helpful. It would have been nice to have some more food options on site apart from the Thai restaurant as not everyone in our party was a fan of Thai food, but other restaurants are within walking distance so it didn't affect our stay too much.
Review of Mantra Hotel, crown towers Gold Coast I recently stayed at the Mantra Hotel unfortunately, the experience fell far below expectations. Upon arrival, our room was not ready, and we had to wait until 4:30 PM to check in, which was incredibly inconvenient. To make matters worse, the internet /wifi did not work for the entirety of our three-day stay, leaving us disconnected and frustrated.( no smart TVs or any entertainment) The room was also poorly stocked with essentials. There was an extremely limited amount of dishwashing liquid and other necessities, which made it difficult to maintain cleanliness during our stay. On top of that, there was no room service provided for the entire three days, which is unacceptable for a hotel of this standard. The customer service was disappointing as well. Staff showed little attention to detail and did not seem interested in addressing our concerns. Overall, this stay was far from relaxing or enjoyable, and I would not recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a stress-free holiday. Rating: 1/5
My family got a 3 bedroom apartment. We admire the location inspite of an eyesore construction site in our balcony views. But the most disgusting is the amount of dust in almost every furniture in our unit. We have a fan covered with dust! The floor is not that clean. There is no number provided in the room to call reception for problems with wifi. We booked with other Mantras but so far this our worse experience.
Hallway smelt like vomit. Oven was filthy with dried and burnt food on sides and door. Mouldy grout in both bathrooms. Stains on doona. Stains on lounge. Dirty marks on walls. Stained carpet. Oil built-up on range hood. Oil splattered toaster. Only 3 forks in drawer for apartment with 3 bedrooms and 6 beds. Not a serviced apartment even though it was advertised as such - room is not cleaned daily, and no fresh towels daily. You get one towel per person and you need to wash and dry it yourself. Staff did not tell us about the towels not being clean until we questioned it. Overall feel of accomodation is tired and in need of an update. It’s passed it’s used by date. ||On a positive note, lovely outside area. Pool is fantastic and gardens well maintained. A well positioned hotel, short walk to beaches, supermarkets and food options. ||Just don’t stay in a room - Specifically 3506.
Our family of four had a very comfortable stay at Mantra crown towers. The hotel is a little dated but our 2BR apartment which looked like it was renovated at some point was modern, clean and spacious. Great pool area with toddler friendly water slides, shallow kids beach area and heated indoor pool. Not many dining options onsite but lots within walking distance. Customer service was fantastic
Excellent apartment. With great pools. Suitable for kids. Is a huge construction site next door. Trams are great they get you everywhere for 50c
Brilliant place to stay, close to everything, onsite cafe
Needs upgrading was in wyndham room
Nice and affordable place to stay
Love this hotel me and my family stay here every year for a week and don’t want to go home would recommend to everyone and decent gym for a hotel
Perfectly located for the heart of Surfers Paradise, walking distance or 1 stop on the tram. Apartment was okay, I did find an open bottle of water by the curtains so not sure if it was cleaned properly. Loved the pool area and there were plenty of sun beds. The pool cafe was really good with a good choice. You got free wifi, but the internet connection was really poor, it was my birthday so important to contact family in the UK, but very difficult to get connection.
Amazing staff, very clean facilities and awesome customer service! 10/10 experience

The best place with kids. The best pools for kids on the gc. It's our second time here and will be coming back here annually.
I had an amazing experience at Mantra Crown Towers. The staff were incredibly welcoming and professional from check-in to check-out. My room was spacious, clean, and well-appointed with everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The bed was super cozy, and the bathroom was spotless.||The hotel’s amenities, including the pool and restaurant, were excellent. I also loved the central location—close to shops, restaurants, and local attractions.||Overall, it was a wonderful stay, and I highly recommend to anyone visiting the area. I’ll definitely return!
We had a great stay. Kids love the pool area. Ocean view rooms are great. Rooms are spacious and are well equipped. Friendly service at reception. Great location, tram stop is right outside the hotel. It tickes all the boxes for us. We will be back !
So happy with my stay at the Mantra crown towers , the staff was helpful & professionals at the front desk, I was travelling with family we stayed in 1 to 3 bedroom apartments, the apartments were huge & spacious, pool area was gorgeous & spacious fantastics for kids and for us a adults to chill & relax .. I will definitely stay again
Stayed in room 1202 which is privately managed. The managers of the room were easily contacted and their service was great, so was the price. The pools are great for kids. Nice to have a heated pools for early mornings. The food on the premises it’s good for small kids but the kitchen in the room was as good as ours at home. Rooms were big and had everything we could need.
Amazing
Good
Well priced, decent sized apartment style room. AC worked well, decent views, best hotel pool in the Gold Coast. Location is awesome too, couple of hundred meters to the heart of Surfers, or 50m to the tram if you can’t be bothered. Parking was plentiful, decent sized balcony. You can tell it’s a little older but that just adds to the gold coast charm and nostalgia, only bad thing is the bungee and slingshot are no longer next door to watch from the balcony. Can’t see myself staying anywhere else in surfers.
The room was dated and in need of some TLC. The pool area is amazing for the kids if the surf is too rough. They have a restaurant attached to the building that got really busy, so I am guessing the food was good ( we didn't eat in ) .
There is Lovely staff, the rooms are a little dated but spacious and very clean, great location, walking distance to everything you would need for your stay. The pools and spas are stunning. This hotel was a pleasure to stay at. Thank you for having us!
The rooms are a little bit dated but they are lovely and clean, spacious and well equipped with everything you need. The hotel lobby and pool areas are lovely and the staff where very friendly and happy to help with anything. The Thai restaurant was bloody amazing!!!! We booked here last minute upon arrival in qld after arriving at our original booked hotel mantra sun city accross the road. Sun city was full of mold and very stinky! We lost 2 hours of or 2 day stay mucking around with sun city..... we should have just booked crown towers to start with! They where 10 times better. Thanks for having us!!!
Late check in despite being told our room would be guaranteed check in 2pm. Left waiting over half an hour with two tired kids who’d been travelling all day, one lady at reception quite rude and unapologetic, another offered some pool kiosk drink vouchers. Would rather be in our room on time. Rooms are old, tired, dirty. The curtains are extremely mouldy and the couch is very stained.
I wish I could of given this hotel a 5 as the staff were fantastic, the pool was amazing for families, the pool kiosk did great affordable meals. The Thai restaurant downstairs was amazing. But the rooms! 2302 Firstly we booked through Accor and our room looked absolutely nothing like the photos which I get they are individually owned it was very dated and worn, chips of paint off the walls. The bathroom vanity looked like there was massive water damage at some point and a massive chunk of it was starting to fall off it. I swear there was a poop smear on the toilet wall as well. All the furniture was scratched and the couches had white stains all over them. The WiFi never worked the whole time. Every sliding door you needed to really move it for it to open. Though the beds were comfortable enough, the view was great, as well as the space was big. I really do feel that if Mantra actually monitored the apartments they are using as holiday rentals and made sure they all had to follow a similar code and be up to that standard that Mantra Crown Towers would be epic! Though until Mantra wants to take more pride in the rooms here. I feel it falls short of what it could be
I have stayed here around 6 times over the past 18 years and seen its gradual decline to a point now where I would never stay again. Upon paying a pretty decent money I entered my one bedroom room on level 5. First thing that hits you in the eye is that the couch/sofa bed is broken and can’t be used even as a couch and there’s a sign that says not to use as a sofa bed. The second little two seat couch is dirty but I manage to clan clumps of hair off one side to have a seat, what was on the other side on the seat I don’t even want to know. The dining table has metal chairs that look more like outdoor chairs. There is no internet. I open the blinds for my view and I am overlooking a work site next door where the new Meriton building is being constructed. So builders and machinery from 7am to 9pm with the night works. I’m thinking this has got to be a joke for the price paid. To the staffs credit they did send up the maintenance guy who managed to get the couch sofa bed fixed well enough to sit on and they provided a dongle to provide reliable Internet, which ultimately I didn’t use as by resetting the ancient in room modem 20 times I had enough internet to do the limited things I needed to. The next door work site is obviously not the fault of Crown Mantra, but please please please let people know when they are booking what lies in store for them. I did ask to be changed room but this was knocked back by staff. Having saved up for quite some time it was so disappointing and as much as you don’t want it to ruin the one week off I’ve had for 6 months …. well it did. I’ll never stay at this place again and the many fond memories over a long period of time have been diminished. There will be the usual response that they are sorry that they did not live up to expectations, but they’re not. When they put people in rooms like that they do so knowingly. Some of the higher rooms and privately owned rooms are terrific, that one I stayed in, nothing short of a disgrace. Be warned about this place and note that the next door building site will be a happening thing for a number of years. Just don’t want others to save money from working hard, only to feel cheated and let down. Many many many better places than here.
The place is really run down and could use an update and modernisation. Not cozy. View is amazing and location is also great. Esplanade not far away. Pool area is nice. Beautifully done.
Great location and pools, but the rooms are tired and need renovating. Our first room stank and needs a paint and new furniture, but the staff were quick to offer another which was much nicer - but the AC in the living area and main bedroom was broken.
Excellent location - close to beach and trams and the pools are fantastic. Family friendly hotel. We stayed with our two kids (5 and 2) and we all had a great time. It's not a 5 star hotel in terms of the hotel rooms, but the pools, location, on site Thai restaurant, pool cafe all make for a great family holiday. The staff are all really friendly and helpful. We didn't spend much time in the room so didn't go over it with a fine tooth comb. It did the job and had all the basics we needed - a place to sleep and eat the odd meal. We spent most of time out of the room exploring and swimming. The reception staff were fantastic on check in. Our allocated car spot was too tight for our car so we popped back up and they switched our spots to one that was easier to get into.
This is the worst hotel we have ever stayed in. So overpriced!! The reception lobby is dark no lights on at all. it feels empty and huge spaces where they used have bars and cafes are just left deserted. ||The rooms have paint chipping literally everywhere and chunks out of walls(see photos) the tiles in floor are cracked. The furniture is so dated. Beds sank in the middle and the whole place felt dirty. Weird smell in rooms and hallways. ||It’s like is a neglected hotel for demolition! Location is good and pool is good but it was definitely not well kept. Motels we have stayed at have more modern furniture and upkeep. ||Mantra are stopping the ball big time on all their properties it’s so sad! The location is good but would never recommend it.
Worst hotel! Rooms smell are dirty with paint peeling off the walls and cupboards. Floor tiles are cracked. The rooms are dark and bed mattress sink in the middle it felt really old and filthy. The lobby never has any lights on and deserted spaces where restaurants and bars used to be it looks like a hotel about to be knocked down. Extremely dated like back to the 90’s and never touched again even the furniture! Location and pool are good but that’s it. Ridiculously overpriced just cause it’s a “mantra” seriously go peppers or Meriton at that price.
My friends and I recently stayed at Mantra Crown Towers and had a wonderful time. Our apartment was clean and well-maintained, very spacious with awesome ocean views. The location was perfect, close to local attractions, tram station and walking distance to the beach. We want to give special thanks to the General Manager, Adi. His attention to detail and commitment to guest satisfaction made our stay even more enjoyable. He went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. We did have a slight hiccup with the air conditioning in one of the bedrooms, but it was attended to straight away and didn’t affect our experience at all. Overall, a fantastic stay— we highly recommend it and definitely be back!
Home away from home. Been coming here for over 15years.
Thank you to the team at Mantra! My family and I had a great holiday! Regardless of the wet weather, we were able to really enjoy our time, relaxing in the room and swimming in the indoor pool. The location is walking distance to the main town centre where there is plenty to see and do in all different weather situations. Our 3 bedroom apartment was perfect! Spacious enough for all 6 of us to have our own space and equipped enough to cater for us all in the lounge room, dining area and balcony (for the airshow) The apartment was clean and fresh and well maintained. Every staff member we encountered was friendly, helpful and efficient in service. This hotel has become our go to Holiday accommodation morning forward! We can't wait to return... and we will be booking to stay longer!!
Where do I even start….. Staff at reception were rude. Room smelled like cats urine. Photos look nothing like their website. Bathroom had mould in various places. Place looks like it would have been good in 1990 very outdated. Construction works in middle of hotel Could hear the scissor lift at early hours of the morning. I highly recommend staying elsewhere. Price not worth it.
Thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Rooms were clean and vibrant. Hotel had a plesant atmosphere.
Fantastic price, fantastic apartment with full kitchen, loungeroom, dining 3 bedrooms. Amazing views. Balcony around the rooms. Laundry with dryer and washing machine. Cable TV, and much more. Outdoor pool with waterfall and indoor pool and spa.
Great location except the local are very noisy.
