Lovely outlook, meals adequate, annoyingly exuberant staff. But aok.

Terrible service we found the staff rude, arrived for dinner just before 8pm on a Friday night to be told you have ten minutes to order and then told can only choose from a small part of the menu. The staff really need to learn what hospitality is about absolutely disgusting behaviour. Would never bother going there again

We stayed in this beautiful marina for a couple of nights and dined in the very popular restaurant. The food was very good and the service was excellent. For lunch the following day we shared the goat cheese and caramelised onion tart for an entree followed by fish tacos for me. My wife had the vegetarian tacos which had falafel instead of fish. Both were outstanding as they always are.

분위기와 경치가 끝내줬던 요트 클럽! 클럽 멤버가 아니어도 누구든지 식당을 이용할 수 있습니다. 목요일 저녁 5시에 갔는데도 창가자리는 만석이라 야외 바테이블을 이용했습니다. 물론 바 자리도 의자가 편안하고 테이블도 있어서 식사하기 좋아요. 요트 경치가 환상적입니다. 음식도 가격대 높지만 맛있어요. Mussel 시켰는데 국물이 환상적이었습니다. Grilled swordfish도 생선 살이 엄청 부드러웠어요. 와인은 1병 단위로 시킬 수 있고 45달러부터 시작입니다. 주차 자리는 평일 기준 넉넉했습니다.

One of the best kept secrets on the Coast. Wonderful location and superb restaurant and bar. It’s my go to place for celebration lunches and meeting friends. The menu is first glass, only matched by the service. Will be there again very soon.

Always have a great time at the Southport Yacht Club. We enjoy the Raffles and the Memebers Draw. Food is great. The meals are extremely good value especially the Seafood Platter for TWO.

The food and service were exceptional. As regular dinners I have no hesitation in recommending this establishment.

A very relaxed atmosphere and a fantastic view of the Broadwater. The staff are very helpful and the serving sizes of the food are very generous. This is one of my favourite places to meet up with friends.

A lovely lunch made very special with a more mature waitstaff, truly refreshing to experience. They were extremely attentive, caring, and friendly, always ensuring we had everything we needed. Their professionalism and genuine warmth made us feel incredibly welcome. It’s rare to find a team so dedicated to excellent service and organised. I can’t recommend this place enough, a divine outlook, beautiful water and luxury boats….I’ll definitely be back!

My daughter and son in law visited this venue on Sunday 29 December 2024,to make a booking for dinner in January 2025 .They were approached by very unfriendly,uncooperative and unprofessional staff,who had said they couldn’t make the booking ,as if they had a booking for some other event, that the area they would have liked to have booked ,would not be available.At no time did they offer to check if this particular area was booked out (they didn’t “have access” to the private functions details) nor did they offer to phone my daughter at a later date to inform her whether it was going to be possible to book the table.Needless to say my daughter and son in law left in disgust and said they would never recommend this venue to anyone,nor visit themselves!(I definitely will not be recommending myself either)Hopefully this review is read by management so this doesn’t happen to anyone else!Very disappointing!

Great food, awesome staff and reasonably priced given the location and views. Definitely request to be seated outside!

The food was amazing… no complaints there.. had the steak…. Was as if he knew exactly how I wanted it… downfall of the evening was the service to be honest… wait at the front to be seated for approximately 10 minutes… when finally greeted all I heard was “oops” and was told to wait and saw the attendant go and explain to some other guests from what I assume that they would have to wait as a booking had come in… we were then seated and what seemed like ages someone came to take a drink order… then the food order…. Ordered cheesy garlic bread as an entree and the kids had the chicken and I had the steak…. Mains turned up 10 minutes later…. As I said food was good… asked where the garlic bread was and was told they would look into it…. 10 minutes later it arrived…. I sent it back…. Didn’t want it half way through the mains…. It was removed from the final bill … but seriously is there a training problem for front of house staff? Not sure if we will return

Very disappointed with the club. Bad customer service, poor service for members of the facility. Staff don’t know how to service the customers in any way or capacity. Definitely won’t be renewing my membership Good luck to the SYC in the future They have completely lost my faith and respect. Will never be back, and will pass on shocking memories to all of my friends and family.

An Unforgettable Birthday Dinner at Southport Yacht Club Last night, we celebrated my husband's birthday at the Southport Yacht Club and it was an experience that exceeded all expectations. The stunning waterfront setting, coupled with exceptional service and delectable cuisine, made for an unforgettable evening. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm hospitality and seated at a lovely table overlooking the glistening Broadwater. The ambiance was perfect – a sophisticated blend of elegance and relaxation. Our waitress, Sharyn, was an absolute gem. Her attentive and friendly service elevated our dining experience to new heights. She was knowledgeable about the menu, made excellent recommendations and ensured that every detail was taken care of. Her warm personality and genuine care for our dining experience made us feel truly special. The food was simply divine. Each dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavour. The food was fresh, cooked to perfection and expertly balanced. We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Sharyn and the entire team at the Southport Yacht Club for making my husband's birthday celebration so memorable. We will definitely be back!

Great spot, food is good, service is good, however food can be a bit slow. So be prepared to order starters to keep you going whilst waiting for main course!

I had lunch twice in the last two weeks. I have been a customer for 3 years. Something has happenned with the food. There is no attention to detail and quality. To pay 250 bucks for lunch which is so average is disappointing. Kitchen staff will wNt detail. I am a chef, hotelier, and restraunteur. Lentil salad: not dressed or presented properly. Salt and pepper aquid: frozen and processed. No good enough. Oysters natural: you should be ashamed. Good for cooking but not natural. Oysters killpatrick ok. Peking duck spring roll. Boring. Been sprouts were brown on the ends. Total lack of quality control. Gorgeous venue, great view. Get the food back.

7 of us came for lunch. We were not satisfied with the main. Prawns n fish n pasta n salads with prawns were not fresh at all and too dry. The chips were not that great neither. Customer service is great n beautiful views on the water.

Members and semi-regulars for a while now...have noticed things going downhill with food quality (e.g., some specials) and the general management vibe. Staff seem to be playing around (throwing things to each other in the dining area and laughing), and some staff who are men are dressed up as women with makeup, etc. Nothing against men dressing as they wish in 'private'... but in public and as part of the staff as well is just not correct, especially for a Yacht Club. It's missing the mark and is a shame, and unfortunately, not renewing this time around. Hoping for improvement in the future.

I love the SPYC! Excellent food and wines, in the most beautiful location overlooking the Marina. The staff are all wonderful, and I have always enjoyed my night out or lunch time occasions. They cater for large tables, too! A late night cruise after dinner is also pretty special, if your friends have a yacht moored close by. You won't be disappointed. Make sure you book. They are always booked to capacity.

Staff and atmosphere were lovely, amazing cocktails. Average meals unfortunately, but it’s the middle of school holidays, dinner time and very busy. Understandable on the wait times but we were all super excited for this dinner and a wee bit sad with meal quality for the price

Great club, good atmosphere, staff are generally super friendly. The food is good. Don't eat off the casual menu as it's usually straight out of the freezer. But the rest is pretty tasty and fresh. Location is fab. If you're local, become a member and enjoy discounts.

We love going to the Oxenford lake every Sunday for our sons sailing class. The kids classes are so well run and all the kids love their instructors and learn so much every weekend.à

We had the pleasure of having lunch at SYC Main beach to celebrate my brothers 60th birthday. There were just 4 of us including our 87 year old Mum. The team made us feel very welcome and the food was amazing. We were never rushed and the courses were spaced allowing us time to soak up the winter sunshine. Well done to all

Had a wonderful day at Southport Yacht Club last Sunday. Lunch was excellent & the afternoon entertainer, Laura Doolan was fabulous. We hope the yacht club will have her there more often, she is so talented.

First time at SYC, Great spot, met friends for long lunch. Food and menu was good on the day. 👍

Arrived before noon on a Thursday and ordered meals just after for 4 people. Two meals arrived and were ok. After asking three different staff members to check on the status of the other two meals ordered two minutes later than the first (by this time the first two meals were finished) discovered that the kitchen had not received the order. A free drink was offered however by this stage it was way too late. Refund for meals was given. Not good enough. Will not be returning.

The marina club is absolutely stunning, and as a fellow boater, I truly appreciate the inviting atmosphere it exudes. The view is simply breathtaking, complemented by the warmth of the staff. Additionally, ample parking is available, and even non-members are welcomed to soak in the beauty of the surroundings by taking a seat and enjoying the serene atmosphere

Bar prices are ridiculous. Bottles of wine hiked up 3-5times in price. $25 cocktails. Ordered a lychee Martini and was made with Mr Consistent premix. All Mr Consistent are very sour due to a big percentage of lime juice to aid in shelf life and this over powers any other flavour. A premix with a little vodka thrown in does not warrant a $25 cocktail. If you don't have staff that can make basic cocktails or management doesn't want real cocktails served, don't sell them! The food was okay. Nothing special, though. We had dinner, so we didn't get to enjoy the view. I wouldn't recommend or go back

Food was very nice. They were short staffed but the wait wasn't overly lengthy. Service was very good. Would eat there again. Book well in advance if you want an outside table. Outside area is very popular no matter what the weather.

Went here on a Saturday night to find it underwhelmingly empty and with a lacklustre atmosphere. Was served by the, I assume notorious, Sharyn, who was quickly dubbed “Sharyn the Karren” at our table due to her shocking attitude.When asking where the bathroom was, the answer was “well you don’t know because I haven’t told you yet”. Sharyn’s mouth sustained an incredibly smart lip at every interaction at the table, and the tension was wrung out of every gaze. The constant eye rolling and head shaking was either a senile attempt at jealousy to the romance being indulged in at the table, or was the result of an overly long and underpayed shift; regardless the behaviour was unacceptable. As for the food itself, or lack thereof, each dish varied with the reoccurring motif being that of a cold temperature. Despite the chilly autumn night, my mashed potatoes were stone cold from the first bite. Across the table another grudge was being made at the raw and clearly pre-frozen disgrace of a hamburger, which was quickly disassembled and then, subsequently, forsaken. The ceaser salad was roughly chopped and lazily presented. Underneath the lethargic light of the table, the family decided, still eyeing off the deceased remains of their meals, that their money, their dinner, and furthermore their night had been quickly ruined.

As we walked in we met Margi who could not have been more pleasant or helpful. We required a table for 4 but one of our party is in a wheelchair. We were seated at a perfect table and Margi could not do enough to help us. Certainly a very pleasant initial experience at the yacht club. We were then served by Sharyn who looked after us very efficiently in a friendly and pleasant manner. Nothing was a problem. Our meals were divine, mains of Barrumundi and the chicken souvlaki were absolutely beautiful. Dessert to die for! Thanks you very much and we look forward to coming back one day. Highly recommend.

Waited over an hour with a hungry toddler for a bowl of chips and parmi with no solution offered. Paid the 15% surcharge on a public holiday which we were willing to do, but would atleast expect better service than what was provided.

The view is great, the food is good but like most yacht clubs it is a little pretentious and the last time I was there one of the most entitled and obnoxious fathers I have seen in a while was making a nuisance of himself Speaking of pretentious, the one thing I was shocked by was the terrible range of Scotch - it seems that blends are the only options available, there was only one single malt available

Disappointed with cashless policy ,witnessed an elderly customers attending function being told that only cards accepted at their venue, unfortunately staff member didn’t articulate the reasoning behind this decision….

nice menu and atmosphere

Went for lunch today for my birthday and was not impressed. The lady at the front counter was very abrupt and I found her quite rude. The view from our table was the highlight. My dad returned his meal and myself and my dad's partner ate out lunch because we were hungry. It was my first visit there and I will not be going back, or recommending it.

Food was delicious and staff were welcoming. Excellent venue.
