Thoroughly enjoyed my meal with my family today at the bistro @ Guildford hotel. We had the best bruschetta ever ! Followed by a beautiful rump steak highly recommend coming here for the food it’s beautiful 10/10

I got confused, as I couldn't see it from a distance.

I am saddened to write a negative review I have been enjoying the food etc since the refurbishment during day However visited at 9 pm on a Friday and most of the place was shut down frankly seems a bit early I do recall the pubs shut a 6 pm 40 years ago I will not attend after 9 pm again was not a good experience David

They send me a $50 Christmas voucher that can be used on food or drinks so I went in on Saturday 2pm on 18 / 1 /25 to have a bet on the horses and a few drinks , was not driving , I told the barmaid I have a $ 50 voucher and I want to use it on drinks over several hours , probably 6 beers all up , she said I could not because I will eventually get drunk , I said your locals seem to have no problems getting served 5 or 10 beers over several hours and you continue to serve them she says I don’t know you but I know them , ok then I told her I have a $25 birthday voucher can I use that , she said that’s good for 3 drinks and I can use that , I’m 54 years old I’m not a kid , I’ve been drinking and having a bet every Saturday for a very long time and have no problems in drinking respectfully and not being a gronk , I think I can handle 5 or 6 drinks over several hour while having a punt ,hahaha you gotta laugh . , I don’t come here a lot because there are heaps more pubs in the area with heaps more atmosphere , they send you a voucher to entice you to come in , then you come in and they say you can’t use it , hahaha , it’s one of the deadest pubs in the area that’s why I don’t come here a lot , yeah I’ve learned my lesson no more

The staff was incredibly friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu, making excellent recommendations. The food was absolutely delicious! Every dish was prepared with care and beautifully presented.

Not the best service. Walked into the gaming room and was greeted by whom I presumed was the manager (all black, no name tag, different uniform to everyone else). She smiled and nodded but didn’t offer me a drink. When I tried to get her attention, I was ignored as she was pre-occupied with the guys betting big. Someone in a blue and white checkered shirt approached me instead and offered service (it was hot so I was grateful for the acknowledgement) and a beverage. Not the best experience, I guess big betters means premium black suit service.

Today the 2nd Jan. 2025 is the first time I have had a meal here since 2020. I had not had a good eating experience here in the past. The family had the lunch time special. She had the rump steak and said it melted in her mouth, the salad was beautiful and the hot chips perfectly seasoned. I had the Chicken Snitzel which was too big to eat but I took half of it home in a doggy bag so to speak. Our child had the fish and chips. You can tell if a meal is good if the plates are empty and our were cleaned up. Definately a good local bistro now and they will get me back often when we eat out locally. You wont be disapointed in the bar service aswell as the food. I would like to see a Keno TV somewhere near the dining areas.

Have lived in Guildford for 48 years and visited the revamped pub today for the first time. Decor was great, food was great & so was the service. My only suggestion is that the colour of the tiles on the outside facing Guildford road should be changed to better reflect the quality of the establishment. Will definitely revisit regularly in thefuture

We love the new renovations, food quality is excellent. Better than some pubs in the city and eastern suburbs. Quite fancy for the local Guildford demographic! But hey I can’t complain, it’s perfect!

My friend from Melbourne decided to stay at Guildford Hotel. Convenient location. Next to the station. Rooms were good. The only issue was, when we went their to check in on the day at 1.55pm, the girl at the reception said they accept check-ins from 2pm, which was 5mins before. I called them before & got confirmed that they can get an early check-in around 1.40pm. So disappointed & also staff wasn't so friendly. Also, when they checked out there were no one to return the keys. Bathrooms were shared

I've recently moved into this area. First time walked in to have a couple of beers. 1st November Friday night around 1130, an Asian looking guy with the name tag Michael served me. He was very aggressive and unfriendly. 3 star is only for the friendly islander girl bouncer and the islander guy who I guess moved from gambling section to the main bar after that impolite and unfriendly Michael left. Will never visit there again.

Double consider everything else before choosing this hotel, to avoid waste your money.|Not family friendly nor understanding.|We have attended the place and seeing they not suitable for our kid, has spoken to the staff the reasons and message the management for the reason we not stay in there. They still going ahead to charge us.

My husband and I had lunch here and it was super delicious!! We ordered: - Chicken Thigh Skewers with Chips, Salad & Jus - Pumpkin Salad with Garlic Prawns - Scotch Fillet 300g with Mash, Broccolini & Chimichurri - GF Prawn Pasta - Grilled Salmon Fillet All of these dishes were Gluten free. It's amazing to have so much choice with gf options. The food is amazing quality for the price point, such good value. I also noticed that they have different deals available, including $25 steak night and $55 family meals, offering even more value! The portion sizes are also really generous! The food was all really fresh and the meat and seafood were all cooked perfectly! I love the open kitchen too 😍 We also had their take on a Whiskey Sour which was a nice twist as well as some lovely wines and alcohol free beer, all of which are also really affordable! The venue has had a total makeover and it's been beautifully decorated. Me and my friend had dinner together and it was amazing I will definitely be back. We both had chicken Schnitzel I had mine with mushroom gravy chips and salad and he had chicken parmigiana. And they were both delicious reasonable prices good quality keep up the good work.👍

The Guildford hotel bistro has just had a revamp. Food is really tasty, generous portion sizes and super affordable. Such a hidden gem. We got 4 mains, an entree, 2 beers and 2 lemon lime bitters for under $200. I highly recommend the spicy meatballs and the chicken thigh skewers.

Has been renovated over the last year and is much nicer than it was. The common areas upstairs where the rooms are require a deep clean and constant maintenance, but the pub itself is nice for the area.

Renovation is gorgeous, live music tasteful. Prices very reasonable, food is beautiful , convenient parking, great access for all abilities ramps etc. Kids corner with books and activities etc etc perfect family venue will be back soon.

Came for a dinner with the family. First time here in many years an appears to have been renovated. Margharita was nice, as were the wings and the steak I had. Very reasonably priced. Very decent food for a pub. My only complaint is every time the doors to the gaming room open you get a serious whiff of cig smoke... Be sure to sit right away from there. Apart from that, very decent and I'll Def return

The best place to spend your time and family at. Ample parking space with shades and security cameras for the safety of your vehicle. Friendly and experience staffs. It's just marvellous place I really enjoy every moment am there.

Hard to understand all the negative reviews, This place is a treasure, comfortable rooms, the bathrooms are average but how much time do you spend in a bathroom, the staff and management, were incredible there were eighteen people in our group and nothing was any trouble for them. The food was great the drinks prices are as good as you will find and we have no hesitation in recommending this place to anyone.

This place is beyond atrocious. From the moment I arrived, it was clear this was going to be a disaster. The check-in was painfully slow, thanks to the rude and clueless staff. The rooms were absolutely filthy, with a horrible odor that made them unlivable. This isn't a hotel; it's a sleazy brothel. The pub patrons use the rooms for disgusting purposes, making the environment unsafe and repulsive. I had to leave in the middle of the night without so much as an apology or a refund. If you care about your health and safety, avoid this place like the plague, especially if you have a family. The two rooms I booked were the most disgusting I've ever seen in my entire life.

Newly renovated bistro looks amazing, loved the ambience and enjoyed the live music and service was exceptional. We tried calamari and salmon fillet, which were top-notch. I would highly recommend it and will be back again.

While location is close to train station, need seperate access from room to car park not through the pub.The access to car park was through pub which was not open till 10am and during checkout I had to carry all luggage on the way to car park through front street, which was not convenient for family with kids.Facilities at Apartment was average but cigarettes smokes stinks at the staircase. Okay for 1 day though as it is in main city.

I chose family room, Room is very messy to much dirty bathroom and toilet. Please never go anyone it’s really bad experience. We cancel when we reached but they not give me refund. I spend too much money for that room. Frode management. Not good staff. I can’t stand 1 minutes there room. Smoke smell in room.

One of the worst experience in my life, Terrible, the toilet had water leakage all night, couldn't sleep and the fridge also makes alot of noise. And the person of reception didn't trust even after showing video and then went to check after they say nothing noise and wee cancelled hotel and they tell me giving refund in 3 day after they didn’t provide refund

They don't even provide towels in the room

was not told they were doing construction, all that could be heard from 7am that morning was this, until we checked out. Extremely Loud knocking through all the walls, all morning whilst we were trying to sleep. For a hotel, you would think they’d be more considerate of their guests, worst stay of my trip, unpleasant, don’t bother staying here.

The workers are very violent the (chubby girl) very violent she rejects giving service and make excuses as she busy chatting around. I spend thousands of dollar there for months and months got rejected for a drink that cost only $2 that chubby girl assaulted me verbally on many occasions needs a good change in management and the owner should be concerned about it. The staff lazy sit around on the floor flirting with players, the staff is very unprofessional always lazy poor service unrecommended

our review was deleted by management, didn't violate any google laws. if we had know half the pup was under construction renovations and how hot it was in the bathroom hall as there was no air conditioning at all. the air conditioner in the room worked but not that well, and got told well its a hot day. the kettle we had was black on the bottom paint chips all over the top look like it hadn't been cleaned in a long time we refused to use it. there were stains on the bed head hate to know what it was. no Wi-Fi got told they have been having problems with it. tv wasn't working properly. we stayed 2hrs and had to leave. for pensioner lossing $130 is alot of my as there's a no refund policy. rang today to see if we could get a part refund, was rudely told NO by who he claimed to be the manager. told him about the kettle and there was not one in the room to start with and his response was how many do you want, and apparently the black burnt inside the kettle was meant to be like that. i guess the stain s on the bedhead are meant to be like that as well. why my review was removed i can't understand. i have read many reviews about this hotel stays that are wors then mine and agree the manager that took our booking is rude uncaring and looks like he doesn't want to be there. the security gentleman was so helpful and polite in getting us a taxi as well as the lady bar attended. would never recommend this to anyone.

horrible the room was that hot even with air con on high, the hall bath etc was like 30° the kettle was black on the bottom with a horrible smell, the free Wi-Fi wasn't working.|their was a big stain on the bak board of the bed head, hate to think what it was.|we wish we knew half the hotel was in construction no bristo etc.|stayed like 3brs, would of come if we knew half the place was in construction. and how hot it was.|asked for a refund was refused $130 wasted alot of money when your on a pension.|would never recommend the ibis is better.

Plenty of parking on site and near by. Looks like it needs big renovations/update and it looks like it currently is getting it so expecting it to be nicer in near future.
