“Our first experience and won’t be our last. The Iconic is so beautiful, tastefully decorated, and has amazing views. Close to Northern New South Wales and an easy drive into the busy Gold Coast. The kitchen was a blessing, and the patio was perfect for watching the sunset. We loved our stay and wished it was longer!”

Fantastic view and lovely room. Stayed in a 3 bedroom ocean front on 14th floor for one week. Would have been 5 star if the 2nd and 3rd bedrooms had aircon. The aircon in the lounge room barely filtered through. Kitchen utensils were light on for self catering. My husband had to go back to Brisbane for work so picked up things from home that we needed. We didn’t eat out at all but so many different places in close proximity. Would definitely choose Kirra again but because of the lack of aircon the other bedrooms would not choose a 3 bedroom unit here again.
Apartment 806 was the perfect balance between being directly across the road from Kirra beach and price point to some of the other apartments. It’s a side facing apartment on level 8 with both beach and hinterland views. Close to cafes and everything else you need, could not have had a better holiday.
If you’re planning on a night relaxing in front of the TV after a full day of sightseeing then don’t. No TV reception at all. I’ve tried everything that the hotel information has said and nothing works. Disappointed.
Came down from Brisbane with family for 3 nights. Location: Perfect. Great beach and loads of food options close at hand. Apartment: Great view from the 14th floor and adequately (but basically) furnished. Shame that there is only air con in the Master Bedroom and main area - seems weird. (Other bedrooms were hot.) Supplies and equipment were all over the place and there were lots of instructions and rules. Hotel: the front desk is only manned in business hours and there were NO beach or pool towels being offered - so bring your own. Should have been the perfect place - but just lacking in a number of areas that should have been better given the premium price.
Great place to stay very central to everything room was very nice and the views were amazing.
Excellent location, great choice of restaurants within 2mins walk from apartment location. Easily the best beach in QLD. Front desk staff friendly and helpful, especially with young children. Modern clean rooms with comfortable beds and facilities.
We stayed in a 2-bedroom apartment for 5 nights. Unfortunately, the second bedroom had no air conditioning, so as a family of four, we had to sleep in the master bedroom. The heat, especially in the middle of summer, made it unbearable, particularly with young children who have skin allergies. Having the windows open with a ceiling fan circulating hot air during the night wasn’t ideal, though some may prefer this. The apartment’s amenities were great, and the location was perfect. The blinds could use a deep clean, but overall, the room was reasonably clean.
Great location, staff wonderful. 3 bedroom small for 6 people no aircon in 2nd and 3rd bedrooms. Very strange for new building.
Stayed in an Airbnb in the Iconic. Great property with excellent location in Kirra. Right across from the beach. Lap pool was a great option when the beach was a bit too windy. Quiet at night which is great for those who are light sleepers.
Our apartment 1006 was recently upgraded I think, it certainly had lovely fresh furniture and carpet, it was very clean and most welcoming, we really enjoyed our visit. Love the free to use boogie boards at reception, great idea. I wonder could you do Cool Cabana rental at a reasonable price, we would love to be able to rent one when we are up there.
Really gorgeous. Great location- across the road from patrolled beach, surrounded by terrific restaurants. Beautifully appointed. Very comfortable. Everything you need for a relaxing and invigorating stay. We were a group of 4 mothers and daughters and had a really lovely time.
This was an awesome place, we had a fabulous time. We had a fabulous ocean view up on the 11th floor. The staff (especially Kate) we absolutely fantastic. I highly recommend this resort!
Amazing location on one of the most beautiful beaches I have been to. We booked a studio hotel room as we were only staying 3 nights. The room was spacious for a hotel room, and equipped with everything we needed. There is also a shared laundry between 2 rooms. There were so many amazing places to eat near by. Beach/pool towels are not provided in the rooms, however you can hire a beach towel from the hotel for $10.00. We stayed in 1305/2 and it was great, however the view was of the mountains and airport which we were aware of. Our room had a queen bed, a small sofa and a bar table with 2 stools plus a spacious bathroom with a shower. There is also a verandah.
The location is excellent - close to beach, shops, cafes, restaurants and airport. No need for a car as everything close enough to walk.||The apartment was first rate and the reception staff friendly and helpful. Pool area fantastic for kids.
Terrific apartment. Accomodated 6 adults very comfortably. The view from the balcony was stunning, spent a lot of time there. it’s such fabulous location! Lovely and clean by with all the amenities you need. Close to restaurants, pub and Surf Club and so close to the airport.|Definitely would stay here again.
Possibly the worst experience I've ever had at a hotel. The staff were so rude and treated me like one of the schoolies (even made snide remarks). paid for an ocean view and didn't get one. Not impressed and will not be back
Iconic Kirra Beach Resort was a great place to stay. Good room security, the beds are so comfy, very close to cafes, pubs and restaurants. You can walk everywhere and not need to drive your car unless going on a day trip. The beautiful Kirra beach straight across the road. The beach is clean, fine sand and beautiful water. The staff at the Iconic Kirra Beach Resort were polite and very helpful, always happy.
Fabulous unit, incredibly clean and great location. Reception staff so helpful with a request we had.|This is a well appointed, modern apartment, with quality installations... fridge, outdoor furniture, bathroom, comfortable king bed and lounge area|Only slight issues we had, was the carxspaces are very tight and we have a large car
Very nice rooms, quiet, friendly and helpful staff and a great location. Close to a lovely beach and a good choice of restaurants and cafes close by. And only 5 min from the airport. Was a very enjoyable stay and will definitely stay again next time.
El departamento es muy lindo y la decoración muy moderna, la vista preciosa y la playa frente sl efificio. El vecindario muy bueno.
The Iconic is a lovely place to stay in Kirra with easy access to a range of great places to eat and drink. The apartments are clean, spacious and modern with comfortable beds and quality linen.
Great location.. near the beach, restaurants and hotel
Fantastic views, really enjoyed watching whales from our balcony. Modern rooms with plenty of space (we stayed in a 3 bedroom apartment) - would definitely recommend
Last minute booking and the 2 bedroom apartment did not disappoint was such a beautiful place to stay so clean and cozy and close to the beach Ladies in the phone and desk were very helpful cannot fault them
This is a solid gold location in paradise. Katie and Susan gave us a lovely welcome on arrival and even found secure parking for our car. The room was clean and had everything we needed. The location on Kirra Beach is great with lots of dining options. Price was v. reasonable too. We will certainly stay again.
I stayed in a king studio room. The bed was comfy, and it had excellent views of the hinterland. The plug points were hard to access, and it would’ve been nice if there was a little table in the room where I could sit and work. But it was a nice enough room. When I arrived, the lady who checked me in was friendly and super helpful. She helped me find a nearby ANZ branch and gave me great directions to avoid an uphill walk (Thank you, Kate!!). She also facilitated an early check-in for me and directed me to a beautiful little patisserie to get coffee and a pastry while I waited for my room to be ready. It was after this point that my experience didn’t go so well. It turns out that the Iconic Kirra Beach Resort is not a resort. It is actually self-catered apartments. The front desk operates at limited hours. Outside these hours you’re redirected to an after-hours service. They are polite but unfortunately unhelpful. I called before my stay to find out about early check-in. I understood when they couldn’t tell me about this as it was hard for them to guarantee this. So I didn’t mind when they told me to call during the front desk’s opening hours. But when I asked more simple questions, for example, if the rooms had ironing facilities, they did not know as they are the after-hours service. I called one evening during my stay and was redirected to the after-hours service. I asked for a tissue box for my room, and they could not help me as they were the after-hours service, and housekeeping had gone home for the day. I asked if the rooms were meant to have a tissue box, and again, they did not know as they are only an after-hours service. The following day, I went to the front desk and asked if I could get a tissue box for my room. I was told that they don’t provide tissue boxes and that there was a 7/11 nearby where I could buy one. I told the lovely lady (Dale) about my lacklustre experience with the after-hours service, and she was extremely apologetic. She told me that they should’ve been able to answer my questions. She told me that the after-hours service was run by a third-party company, not Iconic Kirra, but they still had access to this information and should’ve answered my question. She apologised again and assured me she would pass the feedback to the third-party company. I asked for some fresh towels during my stay and was told that getting fresh towels would incur additional charges. They suggested I use the facilities in my room to launder them myself because the Iconic Kirra is “not a hotel but a self-catered apartment”. The next day, I let the lady at the front desk know that it was advertised as a resort via the third party I booked through and that I wasn’t expecting a self-catered apartment experience given how much I paid and the expectation that was set. She told me, “You should always book directly through us. We can match or better their prices”. But that’s not the point. It wasn’t just about the price. It was about the expectation vs. reality. The studio room I was in appeared to be part of a larger apartment subdivided into two smaller apartments. The air-conditioner in my room kept switching to heating. On my last day/night, I realised that the controllers in each room impacted the AC across both rooms. So, whenever I set it to cooling, it impacted the AC in the other room. Then, when the occupants of the other room set theirs to heating, the AC in my room changed. When I worked this out, the front desk had already closed for the day. I checked out the following morning before they re-opened. So I couldn't report it to get help. I could also hear noise from the adjoining room, especially when they came and went. If you expect a self-catered apartment experience, you will find this a nice place to stay. The beds are comfy, the views are lovely (even the hinterland views!), the front desk staff are kind and friendly, great restaurants are nearby, and the patisserie across the road is AMAZING! But if you expect a “resort” experience, this is probably not your place.
Excellent location very friendly staff, easy experience. Rooms are very good, minor feedback kitchen utensils/pots/pans etc - supplied by owners in this room a little under done
Reception Staff welcoming and friendly. Coffee caddy was not stocked. Received only 1 teabag and 1 coffee sachet for 2 people staying 4 nights.
Great location and customer service. Enjoyed the facilities. However the room was a little rough around the edges - dirty glassware, very dusty behind the headboard, shower recess leaked a little and the half-flush wasn't working. Overall though we enjoyed our stay.
Great location, clean rooms, well appointed. Staff were amazing
Friendly and efficient staff at check-in. The 3 bedroom unit was clean and tidy with a fantastic view of Kirra Beach and on to Surfers Paradise. The beds were very comfortable - great pillows. The hotel was close to a variety of bars and restaurants and was an easy walk into Coolangatta.
Great place to stay Don’t expect any condements eg: salt/pepper margarine sauces.coffee is putrid. BYO everything to this place or go across the road to the coffee pastries, amazing
We had a 2 bed apartment with panoramic ocean views, definitely worth the extra dollars for the high position. The kitchen wasn’t used much as there were plenty of eateries just downstairs. 😍
I have never stayed at a more appalling place in my life the appartments itself was given to us a mess and not cleaned the blond lady at the front was very rude to myself and my wife and forget about the secure parking it is not secure at all as long as someone who owns one of the appartments has keys they can give access to they’re mates came back to the appartment at 1:30 am to find my space taken and was told just to find a space in visitors section as there was non I was forced to park on the street outside in doing so received a parking fine when I raised this with the front desk I was met with contempt and an inability to do anything about the situation when I told them the offending vehicle was in the car park I was told to just leave as I had just checked out absolutely appalling service throughout will not be staying here ever again and I advise anyone looking for an amazing place to stay. Queensland offers many many more amazing places to stay 0 stars
Great service from the ladies on the front desk. Our wishes were met with no questions or concerns. Location and beach views were what we were looking for. Our week stay at Iconic Kirra Beach was great. I would recommend staying here.
Check in - reception staff were very friendly and proximity to Kirra Beach fabulous. The complex foyer was impressive but that’s where it stopped. The apartment provided was a big disappointment. We booked three bedroom high level for three adult couples and a 1yo. Bedrooms were very tight - just enough to accommodate a small portable cot between two single beds. AC in lounge/kitchen but only in the main BR - ceiling fans in the others so these rooms were quite stuffy. Balcony was cramped - certainly nothing like the spacious image in the advertising. Outdoor table was badly stained and grubby. Lounge area very tight considering for three bedrooms/six adults. The inclusions in kitchen and bathrooms were minimalistic. No beach towels. I raised my disappointment in writing on the first day - no response just a bottle of wine handed to my daughter in law. Thankfully the purpose of the visit meant limited time together in the apartment. Iconic the apartment was not. Just checked in to an Airbnb at nearby Kingscliff - such a delight to arrive at such a well provided tastefully decorated apartment.
Drawers to third bedroom couldn't be opened - shelf broken in second bedroom- bed lamp not adjustable in main bedroom- blind to second bathroom torn-windows whistled when balcony doors open-for less than 4yrs old, seemed average
Tonight is my last night at the Iconic Kirra Beach Resort. I am really so sad to go. The rooms are lovely, the interiors are amazing and the views!!!!!!! It's a top notch resort. The best thing about this place is the service. I landed here on Friday March 13th as the coronavirus pandemic was spreading across the world. It's my daughter's first term at Bond University. We are from San Francisco, California and this trip was planned before the pandemic. I had three people with possible coronavirus taken off my plane by quarantine officials before we were let off ourselves when I landed in Brisbane. Saturday, I woke with a fever, sore throat and dry cough. I went to get tested and our mother daughter surf weekend turned into me staying alone at the Iconic Kirra Beach Resort waiting for test results. (3 days wait, luckily it was negative). It was the longest 3 days of my life. Anne the manager of the hotel personally called up to check on me repeatedly. I knew no one in the Gold Coast aside from my daughter at a time when I need a community around me. Of course you have to put on a brave face for your kids. Just hearing the care in her voice was the comfort I needed. So much compassion. She really empathized with me and I didn't realize how much I needed that until I had it. It meant the world to me. She made sure I had everything I needed for my stay. Brought up toothpaste and a few other items I was missing. Humanity is facing a very serious crisis and it's these little acts of kindness that are going to ease the situation we are all in. I am forever grateful for her and the staff at Iconic Kirra Beach Resort. They have gone above and beyond in their service. I will not hesitate to come back to stay. I would highly recommend, if you have the chance to stay here, you that you don't miss out.
Highly recommended, we loved the apartment , really well decorated and clean . Location it’s amazing, beach front, lots cafes and restaurants around .
Nice views, but lots of dust in rooms caused my hay fever to go crazy
I had a great 3 night stay last week and this week another 3 nights, hopefully back again in 2024, special thanks to the staff at reception, most helpful and accomodating, thank you
A friend suggested we stay at the Iconic Kirra and we are so glad we took her advice. Reception staff are friendly, welcoming and available during business hours to assist if required. We stayed on the 3rd floor with an oceanfront room and it did not disappoint. The view was incredible and we spent hours sitting on the large balcony watching the whales. Kitchen had all the necessities inc. fridge, freezer, kettle, cutlery, toaster etc. There is also a washing machine, iron, laundry rack which was helpful! Master bedroom is large and bed/pillows were very comfortable. We had our 9 month old in the second bedroom in the portacot. Location is ideal as everything is in walking distance with lots of great cafes and restaurants underneath the apartment complex. Pool is great and has a lovely undercover area as well as plenty of sun beds lining the pool. The only downside is that in the afternoon not a lot of sunshine hits the pool area so it can get quite cool. On the plus side, the beach is literally across the road! We would definitely book again if we are every holidaying in the GC.
Iconic Kirra Beach was a great place to stay. Fabulous ocean views. Restaurants downstairs were very convenient. Apartment 1002 was lovely and very well presented. We had a really nice stay. Thankyou
I was a bit concerned with booking a lower apartment regarding the noise, but it was awesome, the courtyard was huge, and it had an amazing view I will definitely recommend it to anyone.
Fabulous location, very helpful staff. Rooms were excellent this is our second stay this year and we stayed in the oceanfront top floor. Loved being able to whale watch from our balcony, can highly recommend.
大床房太熱了,開了空調都没有用,希望可以改善
Fantastic 3drm apartment. Fully equipped with fabulous views.
A great place to stay in the quieter area of Kirra Beach. It's located well with cafes and restaurants right nearby and access to beach right there. The staff have been amazing and we're so kind to us when we needed to change our dates. I recommend booking with them directly rather than through another site as they give same price and can manage your booking personally. The apartments are great, bed very comfortable, equipped with everything you need and even provided with initial items such as to, dish washing liquid, laundry liquid etc even though the apartments are non-serviced. Would recommend and stay again.
Really enjoyed our stay. Room was clean, modern and great facilities. The beds were so comfortable - nice and firm. Pool area was great (pool a little cold!) Beach was perfect. Not busy. Nice restaurants and cafes along the small strip. Unfortunately it was noisy in the mornings (roadworks). But would definitely return.
Absolutely loved our stay!! Clean and comfortable. Will definitely be back. Great central spot! Can walk or ride to so many different locations
We loved it. Beautiful and clean. Awesome view from the 15th floor. Even noticed when when we took our recycled goods down to the bin area, so clean and tidy. And never any smell of rubbish anywhere. Excellent job to all working so hard to make your place such a lovely place to stay. Front office staff were brilliant as well, when we booked in. Definitely coming back. Thanks for making our holiday so memorable
The location is perfect. Easy to get to from the airport, in fact we walked! The rooms were spacious and uncluttered making it easy for storage when travelling . The ocean front room we stayed in had stunning panoramic views . The Iconic is surrounded by high standard food and coffee. The staff are exceptional, you knew you were being cared for in a professional friendly courteous manner. Their advice of places to eat and visit were accurate. They also organised where certain discounts may apply. After only one day since returning home We are already looking to rebook
We stayed in 1406. The apartment was really nice. Everything you needed was there and even the beds were good. The view from 1406 was mostly of the hinterland, but you could still see the beach. I would recommend this place. 👌
Be warned Iconic Kirra Beach Resort is by no means a resort. It’s self contained appartments at best. One pool, limited reception timing and no cleaning. Also all of the advertising to enjoy the view is misleading there are only 2 bedrooms or higher that are with a view. The reception were unable to assist when the third party who we booked for who promised an ocean view. I showed them very clearly what was promised and they said it’s the third parties problem not theirs and they can’t do anything about it. They also didn’t help when I asked them for new pillows and a mattress topper as it was uncomfortable and when following that up I was told sorry it’s now after hours.
Loved every minute at Iconic. Views were spectacular. Highly recommend it.
We rented two apartments - 1101 and 1301. 1101 had well-stocked kitchen cupboards, good cleaning/ironing equipment and excellent sized and designed furniture. 1301 had minimal cooking and kitchen supplies, inadequate cleaning/ironing equipment and oversized, worn furniture. Both apartments had insufficient towels and bathroom supplies for the number of people being accomdated. Both had the minimum amount of toilet paper, tiny rubbish bins and no rubbish bags supplied. The access cards for both apartments were temperamental. We would have been locked out several times, except that we asked for back-up cards. The reception staff were responsive and helpful.
We had a great time at Iconic Kirra Beach. I rang 3 times prior to our arrival and the customer service was fantastic. I spoke to a couple of different ladies and they were all happy to answer questions and help me out, not once did they they make me feel like a pain for ringing. Even when we were there they were extremely helpful and professional. Checking in late was easy and they communicated with us via text leading up to the day. The apartments and building itself are beautiful and well looked after. We were lucky enough to stay on level 5, right at the front facing the ocean and we loved watching the whales and the dolphins from the balcony. We had a great apartment, 2 bedroom, with plenty of room and great sized balcony. The location itself was great. We drove, but it’s right near the airport but you can’t hear it. It’s literally right across the road from the beach and there are heaps of great restaurants to choose from in east walking distance within any price range. Try Hipoke, that was my favourite, so fresh and delicious. It’s an easy 15-20 minute walk to Coolangatta to more restaurants, another great beach and Woolies. It’s about a 45 minute drive into surfers and the theme parks because of the traffic (not that far in actual kms), but we actually enjoyed being outside of all that. The traffic in Surfer’s was terrible and it was very crowded in the holiday period. It’s good to go for the day and we loved it, but it was nice to come back to an area that wasn’t super busy so that we could actually enjoy the beach and the surf. Thanks again for a great stay!
Thank you to the staff at iconic Kirra we had an amazing time the room and location was second to none the ocean view room has the wow factor we will be back
Beautiful seafront apartments in new building. Spacious, modern interiors with views to die for. Lots of restaurants and eateries around. Didn't have to use our car at all, as even Woolworths is a 15 minute walk.
We loved the location, the views and the modern, well-styled apartment. It was roomy, very clean and well-maintained and had everything we needed, plus more. The large balcony was a highlight; a great place to just sit and look for whales or watch the passing action below. Comfy lounge and very comfy king size bed. We'll come again!
What a property. Great location. Great facilities. Great management.
Apartments were clean, beds comfortable and facilities great!! Location super close to beach and restraunts. 10 to 15 minute walk to supermarket.
Good
Great apartment hotel, clean, well decorated and well stocked with everything you could need for a home away from home. Comfortable beds and right across from the beach. Couple nice restraunts, a salon and liquor store right under the hotel and several shops and restraunts in walking distance. Great pool and BBQ area.
Fantastic accommodation in a perfect location. We had an ocean front two bedroom apartment on level 6 and the views were spectacular, from Kirra point all the way up to Surfers. The apartment is very modern and has great appliances. Our room was very clean and tidy on arrival. There is almost no noise pollution from the outside, when you have the doors and windows closed at night. The balcony is so nice that we ordered take out food so we could have dinner with an amazing view. The location is fantastic. Lots of great cafes and restaurants within 30 second walk. The beach and park land is right across the road. It’s also a nice walk around Kirra point to Coolangatta shops. Kirra is great because it isn’t quite as busy as Cooly. The staff have all been very friendly and welcoming. We will definitely be staying here again.
Fantastic apartment, great layout and had everything we needed for a comfortable family stay. Convenient location. We were on a lower floor but still had beautiful views to the ocean. The apartments were really well sound proofed, zero noise from adjacent apartments or street when doors were closed. Staff friendly and helpful. Will definitely be back to stay. Thank you.
We loved our stay. The location was perfect for our family with easy access to the local shops and beach. All the staff were friendly and facilities were spotless. Thanks Iconic looking forward to coming back.
Iconic resort is fabulous ! we just had 4 nites in a lovely oceanview apartment gr8 position beach across the road lovely eating places staff so nice pool was lovely& so clean can't wait to go back Kirra also a lovely place😋
New apartment, nice view and facilities.
Nice building at great location. 2 Bedroom beach view apartments are quite small and bathrooms are very small. Pool is very shallow and gym also small.
The apartment was great, the resort was close to amenities and the staff were lovely.
Beautifully appointed apartment. Apartment 806 at back of building with partial view of ocean and superb view of mountains. Will definitely stay again.
We had an awesome time. Definitely worth paying the little extra for the premium ocean view. Such a great spot.
We absolutely loved our stay at Iconic Kirra. Being across from the beach, and near the restaurants. The accommodation was clean, stylish, modern and well maintained. The pool facilities were fantastic. Definitely recommend this location.
Great location if you don’t want to be in the Surfers Paradise hub. Quieter, but great beach and plenty of places to eat.
Checked out of our lovely Ocean Front apartment this morning after our second visit to Iconic Kirra. Once again we can only say thank you for the wonderful service!! Our apartment was spotlessly clean. The staff always approachable and helpful. Love how clean the reception and lifts are. Love Kirra, love Iconic! See you next time.
Loved the apartment, very modern, beautifully presented and clean, feeling of spaciousness in all rooms, hot water readily available for a hot drink so don't really need a kettle even though one was provided. Patio area was square in dimension and plenty big enough for six people or even eight without it being a squeeze. Very generous with utensils and laundry facilities such as washing machine, dryer, iron and clothes horse. Large T.V in lounge with comfortable 3 and a 2-lounge seater plus a good sized T.V in main bedroom. Main bedroom has side area with table that can be used as a study. Both bathrooms are beautifully tiled and provide quick hot water through large shower head. Very secure with swipe card entry. Great location for short walk to Kirra beach and a one kilometre walk on the esplanade and alongside the beach to trendy Coolangatta for its many eateries or shopping. Bus stop about 100 m from apartment to travel one hour to Surfers Paradise or in the other direction into NSW.
Great apartment, beautiful views, superb staff. Will come again
Great Apartments! We had a 1 bedroom ocean view. They are a great size as the 1 bedrooms are simply a 2 bedroom with the extra bathroom/bedroom door closed. Check in after hours was easy and the girls on reception were great! Lots of construction happening around but it didn't bother us. Lots of cafes and central to everything.
My advice would be to stay somewhere else! There are dozens of much nicer nicer places to stay in this area. We paid top dollar for a sea view however you could only see the ocean If you peaked around the corner outside on the balcony area. Ripped off! Also all the hallways leading to apartments are painted DARK BROWN so it feels like walking through a dungeon. Not a nice beach feel at all....a bit depressing! And the gym was VERY basic and small.
I had a lovely 3 bedroom clean apartment facing the ocean. Modern up to date furnishings, comfortable beds. The Iconic is in a great location close to restaurants and cafes, also a 24 hr 7 -11 for those first few things to stock the fridge. The friendly efficient staff are always happy to help with any queries. I will return without hesitation.
a fantastic location beautiful views close to coolangatta and tweed heads buses run every 7 minutes the apartment was on the 14 th floor and you could see down fhe coast for miles the girls in reception were brilliant nothing was to much trouble for them to help you with if you needed some information about your stay this is the only place i want to stay for my next holiday at the gold coast
Just ok. The rooms are lovely and as pictured. We paid a bit extra for the “deluxe” 3 bedroom and are on the second floor. First day in I’ve literally had workman blaring all day with construction noise and staring into my teenage daughters room, and the painters or window washers jump in front of my (masters) bedroom window from the roof while I was changing... It’s now past 10pm and the music and nightlife is BLARING from the nightclub underneath on the ground level of the building, even with the windows and doors closed. This might be ok for others... not for a family. Maybe if you can guarantee an higher up level? Also please note this complex is completely self contained with an added note on arrival to say if you don’t put the dishes in the dishwasher and put it on before you leave, or do anything else to make “extra trouble” you will be charged a fee... no room cleaning etc. So it’s not exactly a hotel which I didn’t feel was made clear on the webpage we booked it on and quite frankly even in self contained appartments I’ve never been issued a note to state they were unwilling to clean basic household stuff if it wasn’t damage to the property. What is a holiday for? Only been here one day and a bit disheartening... again, beautiful build/renovation and facilities but a let down in reality that I wouldn’t recommend to family or friends
The Iconic is at a terrific location. We had an oceanfront 3 bedroom, and the views were amazing. Easy access to great restaurants and cafes, with just a quick walk around to Coolangatta for more food options and activities. The apartment was well appointed, but as a suggestion, some extras in the kitchen wouldn't go astray. With young children, we were really keen on the self-contained element to the apartment, and hoped to cook a number of meals. However, we found we were missing a few kitchen items to really make it work - some bigger pots and an oven tray/oven pan would have been useful. That said...I wasn't going to complain about not having to cook! Plus the restaurants all do takeaway. The pool was nice, with a great BBQ area that was very clean. The pool itself has been marketed as heated, but after experiencing heated pools at other hotels/resorts, it didn't really feel as though it was. Morning swims, after the sun had heated the water, were the best option for us. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, and would return.
We are regular visitors to the Gold Coast and have stayed in some amazing Holiday Apartments such as Reflections and Nirvana by the Sea so we were excited to try Iconic at Kirra. As I said to the young receptionist when I booked I am hoping that Iconic will impress! However I was extremely disappointed and felt let down on many levels. Right from the start I was shocked upon entering the carpark to find water seeping through the walls which left an offensive smell and was not good for me to breathe as I am an asthmatic. I felt the constant dripping and seepage of water in the long term is a health hazard for residents not to mention the ruination of the permanent residents belongings stored in the carpark. We were also disappointed to find our parking spot was the last parking bay at the very end making it difficult to manoeuvre in and out. I could hear water dripping right near our parking bay and I felt extremely sorry for the owner who had storage next to our parking bay with some of their exposed items ruined from the constant dripping of the water. Our unit was not much better despite being told our unit was a premier" unit. To me it was obvious that the dankness of the constant dripping water in carpark and the faulty plumbing obviously is creating a smell so bad that it is coming through the pipes and into our unit and for the length of our stay we had a bad odour that we could not get rid of despite putting the bathroom fans on. The bathrooms including the ensuite were so tight and small that there was insufficient space to properly dry oneself. One night while trying to extricate from the small shower my thumb got caught in the shower door bruising my thumb which caused pain all night. In the main bedroom the 2nd TV was on a side wall making it difficult to watch so I gave up. There were also blood stains on the carpet in the main bedroom which we reported twice but no attempt was made to clean it up. There were also insufficient cooking utensils in the kitchen making it difficult to cook a meal. In saying all that there were also some positives which I must comment about. The balcony was large with amazing views. The TV in the lounge room with foxtel and chrome cast options was a bonus. I also liked the window outlook from the kitchen. Overall I felt the price was way too high (I paid over $2K for a week) for a unit that I felt did not measure up to my expectations. We won't be back."
Really enjoyed our stay...however there is a construction site next door which starts each morning at 6am. Power saws, crane moving, angle grinders, yelling - fairly intrusive and not great for relaxing
