When I am back at my resort, I will always come here for my meals. Good food and very friendly staff.

Do yourself a favour - Shirley has the very best Chinese we have experienced in Australia - the very best.

Unfortunately, this was one of the most disappointing restaurant visits I’ve ever experienced. Both the food quality and management were severely lacking. We visited the restaurant on December 31st. While we understood that longer wait times are to be expected on such a busy date, the restaurant should still be better prepared. Instead, we waited approximately 1.5 hours for our food, which turned out to be incredibly disappointing. The dishes were greasy, poorly presented, and lacked flavor. The restaurant was clearly understaffed, with only two servers trying to handle all orders and service. The staff were visibly overwhelmed, running and sweating to keep up with customers. I felt sorry for them, as it was obvious that the management had failed to plan or organize the service adequately. The payment process was equally chaotic. Instead of using a proper system, orders were written down individually and calculated manually with a handheld calculator. The cashier didn’t even know the prices, causing further delays and confusion. If we had been informed at the entrance about the long wait time, we would have chosen to go elsewhere. It’s evident that the restaurant does not have the capacity or organization to handle its workload. In my opinion, it would be better to remain closed on such busy days until these issues are resolved. Overall, this was a chaotic experience with poor food quality, terrible management, and no redeeming features. Even the novelty of a serving robot couldn’t save the situation. I cannot recommend this restaurant and will not be returning.

Visited on Sunday around 2:30 PM. The restaurant wasn't crowded, but we waited too long to be seated as the staff seemed busy and ignored us. We stayed since other places were closed until 5 PM. Ordered the special fried rice and schezuan chicken, rice was very oily. The staff, especially the lady, was rude and treated us differently than other customers. Very disappointed—1 star.

Will never bother with delivery again !! Called 3 times to check on delivery . I totally understand busy nights but be honest and realistic so customers get the choice as to whether they want to wait that long. Don’t say it’s in the delivery car when it’s not ! We sent it back when it arrived , far too late to be bothered .

Was a regular client here but not anymore. I was better off ordering my meal via Temu or AliExpress as it would of been quicker. 2 hr wait for 3 meals is a bit ridiculous then Forgot an entree and no apology.

Ordered one dish to take away and it took nearly an hour. One elderly woman taking phone orders, table orders, taking money, had to ask customers what they ate, setting tables and generally running around like a headless chicken. Saw the menu, a $90 platter of fried food that would cost $9 at Aldi. What a joke.

Yummy food with great gluten free options - we had sweet n sour pork, honey king prawns and chicken and cashews gluten free - all made fresh to order!! My daughter was so excited we have not been able to get this anywhere for ages! Lovely owner very good with gluten free safety

I like the environment. The owner was so kind that when she heard about one of us running the half marathon, she offered port wine to us as a complementary gesture. Thank you. 🙂

Little hinden gem at the back of Coolangatta, stock standard Chinese, quick & easy

There was no fault. Greeted and provided with amazing customer service Once meals were ordered, all came out hot and fresh and absolutely divine. We chose to try something new and gung pao chicken was delicious.

Both very sick this morning 3 meals $70+ that's a joke , fried rice worst I've had in a long time as born in Goldcoast very hard to find good Chinese food here my local was closed in Coolangatta so I tried this one never ever again , Go to Tim's takeaway Hardy's road Mudgeeraba- try his food that's Chinese this was the worse I've ever had on the Goldcoast/Gympie/Tamworth/ACT the rice 3/10 , honey chicken 1/10 not sure if chicken it tasted like fish, rainbow beef clumps of crap 2/10 I'd recommend to stay away. I'd advise to stay away, Food safety may have to hear this one.

Very unhappy to have spent $165 and 1. Have to pay for prawn chips. 2.ordered 2× San choy bow supposed to come with 4 lettuce cups per serve. We received 1 lettuce cup for 2 servings?? 1 lettuce cup to split for 5 people 🤔

Attached to the back of the local bowling club, if you like Chinese food this is a must. Ask any local for directions

Had a 90th birthday today for 18 adults. The food was absolutely amazing. The service was exceptional. The owner prepared our tables for us before we got there so everything was set up ready to go. Great value for money. Highly recommended ✅

Eaten takeaway 3 times now from here. Order by phone not web. Food has always been fantastic. Super busy especially Friday and Sat nights so ask how long when placing order has always been ready when we arrived. Prices are more than on the site which is out of date and says pricing may change , but is well priced for size and quantity.

You can have dog here I have anxiety and dog is good for me 😀

Amazing food, amazing service! First time going here and it didn’t disappoint.. all the dishes were delicious and the portion sizes were massive! Can honestly say best Chinese food .. the staff were super friendly and so sweet, definitely going back 👍🏼

Tonight we booked and we waited 3 hours for our food to be delivered. We are so upset and disappointed. People walked in off the street were seated and were served before us. If you can’t fill the orders of the tables that booked don’t accept the walk ins. You need to do better.

Waited over 2.5 hrs to get our food. We ended up having to take our own orders on their notepad and give it to the kitchen ourselves. They have about 4 servers but only 1 person seems competent enough to take the orders, take the money and forget about clearing the tables, that isn’t happening.

Just waiting for 2 hrs with nothing!

Terrible experience. Food delivery on mothers day took 2 and half hours. Called Shirley after 1 hour told her I wanted a refund ,she had agreed and insisted of delivering the food as well. Food was burnt and rice was mushy which went in the bin. Shirley then told me she would process the refund. 3 days later no refund I then called Shirley and she told me to come to the restaurant. I went and then she expected me to wait 20 min ,seemed she didn't know how to do a refund. I then told her I can't wait I had a appointment to get to and cash would be fine. Then all of a sudden Shirley started screaming at me that I was rude . I was told 40min delivery when I placed my order and then no Food which ruined my mother's day then at 9pm a delivery with disgusting food and a refund that I had to go and get 3 days later after I was promised she would refund that night. I don't know why this place takes orders when clearly they can't keep up and then the food being rushed making it taste terrible. Very disappointing to see people run a business like this. I don't recommend this restaurant at all and I hope no one gets treated like I did. Customer service is no such thing here.

Good food nice services..will go aagin

This is a tough place to review, the food is absolutely 5 star first class, the atmosphere is average at best. This is not generally a takeaway Chinese restaurant judging by the number of patrons that picked up takeaway orders over the 40 minutes I waited for my order. I had called to place my order 1 hour before I needed to pick it up and asked if it could be ready at a certain time. I arrived exactly at the arranged time and had to wait a further 40 minutes for my order to be ready. The prices are above average for takeaway Chinese but as I said the quality of the food is first class. This was my second visit to this restaurant for takeaway, the first time was a 20 minute wait. Those are the facts, you can decide if great Chinese food is worth the wait, as for me, I might go back, I'll just order it a long time before I actually want to pick it up.

IMPORTANT:Make sure you get a receipt when you pay cash at the end of the meal or you might be told you didn’t pay. Great introduction to Australia for my friend who arrived from overseas today and who did pay cash for our meals only to be told later in the evening that he didn’t. Won’t be returning.

Nothing like a warm beer on a hot night and blood clots in you uncooked honey chicken

Scam. They post cheaper prices online and then charge up to 200% more when you collect it. The owner lied about the website bring 20years old - the company that made it was founded only 9years ago. She advertises cheap prices to get customers, doesn't tell them how much until they get the food. Even with the new" prices she STILL overcharged and then became aggressive when this was pointed out."

אוכל דוחה ברמות. הזמנתי משהו שהיה אמור להיות נודלס מוקפץ עוף, שאלתי שזה אכן זה והביאו לי איזה מרק רגל פולני עם ג׳לטין. לא צוחקת. מנה דיי יקרה 22 דולר. שאלתי באמת בנימוס אם יש אפשרות להחליף כי הבנתי שזה נודלס וציפיתי למשהו אחר ובעלת המסעדה (שהייתה גם ממש מגעילה כשהגענו) אמרה בשום פנים ואופן והיחס היה ממש מגעיל מצידה. לא אכלתי בככל אחרי הביס הראשון ולא ניגשו אלי. כלום. לא להתקרב בקיצור.

Best food we have ever had. Definitely would return.

First time,dining at this restaurant,attached to the bowls club,but separate enough to be its own entity,and have its own entrance.Greeted and seated immediately, despite having no reservations (we were lucky,as a table had just opened up). Our party of four's order taken quickly,and the Singapore Noodles,and San Choy Bow(entree) served quickly,as was Special fried rice.Wait was a little longer for Beef Chow mein,($23)and Szechuan Beef($23),but well worth it. All were very tasty,the rice,one of the nicest I've had. Only comment was my wife prefers crispy noodles with Chow mein,and this had soft,thin noodles. Banana fritters with ice cream,and choice of sauce $7.90,rounded off the meal nicely. As did the complimentary glasses of Port! Service was excellent,friendly,fast,and professional.Thoroughly recommend!! The ROBOT waitress,is sure to be a hit with the kiddies also(used occasionally)

Used to be the best Chinese !! but has definitely gone downhill servings smaller ,prices higher , food average , service dreadful. Place definitely needs a good clean very disappointed

DO NOT GO! Worst experience I have ever had dining here…

Had a nice meal here last night so i went again..got ripped off. Missing food but charged for it. Went back was told no you order 3 item. Ok so that is $29 not $38. Was told i order from wrong website. Same as last night though.. Ripped off and the food was not so good tonight. Fried rice bland, wonton soggy, sweet n sour pork has no sauce. Shame, thought i had found a good spot. Very busy though, doubt they care. Will not return. Bummer.

I had a bad feeling when I saw the one woman taking the orders, cleaning tables from dirty plates, but not wiping the tables clean, serving food, doing the billing, seating customers, one woman and one man who had no idea about anything, the crispy pork came out of the microwave. Just a S..t show with many customers looking very upset. Never going back! Only gave 1 Star because I felt sorry for the one woman running Around, never seen anything like it.

Best Chinese on the Gold Coast

We we very disappointed with the service, our food was almost thrown on the table, which was very unprofessional and unpleasant especially the sizzling platters. We won't be coming back.

Way too salty. Meeting friends for lunch today 22/10/23. We ordered sweet chili chicken, satay chicken skewers, Wong-ton soup, Deep fried pork ribs, scallops with ginger + shallots, sizzling beef with pepper sauce, king prawns, and fried rice. EVERYTHING was very very salty, not sure what's going on, maybe they hired a different chef? I will not go back again.

Food is ok. But the place took a while to get the orders. I guess they're short-staffed

Rude service, asked how long it would be for delivery and got hung up on, had to ring back because it seemed as we under paid for what we ordered so asked if she could look at our order incase something was missed and got completely dismissed and hung up on. Would highly recommend anywhere else.

Pathetic. I'm sick at home with covid My delivery is more than an hour late. Call twice and both times I was told it was on the way. I'm 10min from the restaurant so this was obviously a lie. NEVER AGAIN!

quirky place between a bowling club and a pokies bar. I was put off by the reviews saying it was heavily westernised and the previously mentioned location. what I can say is the food was excellent. there is a section of the menu dedicated to traditional meals so the people ordering sweet and sour pork and saying there isn't traditonal food are wrong. I ordered the sichaun chili beef (水煮牛肉) my favourite and it was very well done with a generous portion. friendly staff
