Great location with a quick walk to Salamanca. Rooms were clean and we had a nice view out to the city.

Lovely sized room, cleaned well, great big bathroom with a large rain shower head plus hand shower head. All our needs and demands were met with a helpful smile. The extra like a free cocktail and chocolates was a nice incentive. We were very satisfied and happy with the Movenpick and would use it again when visit Hobart or elsewhere.

Perfectly located access to the waterfront and CBD and well appointed room with amazing service from the team.

the experience was brilliant to say, greeting us at reception to accommodation. And of course the 'happy chocolate hour was exceptional!"

This hotel is not on par with other Movenpick we have stayed at. It feels much more like an Ibis level hotel. The restaurant seems understaffed, waiting time to be seated is ridiculous. The couple infront of us had been waiting 20min and the head waiter kept returning apologising saying just 2 minutes we witnessed this three times and there were only a few people seated in a mostly empty restaurant. We gave up and went out for dinner eventhough we were staying at the hotel. Trying to get our welcome drinks was also a hard task as it was the same bar that serviced the restaurant. Not a pleasant relaxing space. Rooms were nice, very clean etc but would not choose to return to this establishment.

Nice location, services and hospitality. Rooms are a bit small and shower cubicles don't have doors, otherwise very well maintained

We stayed 2 nights. We found the room and hotel facilities in general to be excellent. The staff in particular went out of their way to make it a great experience. The in house restaurant Tesoro is a wonderful dining experience, authentic Italian with a Tasmanian flavour. Being close to everything is a big plus. We walked down to the waterfront and strolled the Salamanca area with much pleasure.

Every single staff member was helpful, pleasant and smiling.

Modern well appointed hotel, situated in the CBD and close to the Wharf entertainment area. The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. We were in a superior room with a city view. The bed (King) was extremely comfortable. There is a wet/walk in shower with standard and rain water fittings, also fabulous smelling bathroom products.

View was good and overall would stay again. The restaurant was value for money with good service. Chocolate hour was definitely a bonus. Located very close to wharf and other areas.

Friendly staff, beautiful room. Nice atmosphere. Can’t speak highly enough of this hotel.

Friendly staff, clean room, great location. Would stay again.

Clean and well put together hotel. Room was good and central location. As is usual with Accor, they offer an apparently free drink, but they always make it impossible to redeem. I won't be sucked in by that benefit" again."

The only issue is that the rooms that face a wall with no view but the wall should be discounted like concert tickets. You should be able to buy them with obstructed view.We were told that we could pay more than the 450 dollars already paid for a better room. Just some feedback for consideration. Accor member

We have stayed at the Movenpick Hobart before and we were so happy to find on our return it was just as great as the first time. Great rooms in a very convenient location. Excellent customer service too!

Special mention to Ben the bartender and Elle the server - these were 2 outstanding staff. Room service was not good as for our entire 5 nights stay, the sheets were never changed and a takeaway coffee cup with our chocolates on a table was removed whilst toilet roll was not renewed. Reception staff was also well versed in Accor procedures/benefits although as diamond status we did not get an upgrade - must have been extremely full. The place in like central of Tasmania, easy walk to Salamanca, Sunday market, water front etc. We will stay here again.

Excellent place to stay. Very new - only opened in 2021. The bathroom was great but could do with a magnifying makeup mirror. I would be happy to stay here again the city view from the 15th floor was very cool, watching the clouds on Mount Wellington was great.

I used the parking onsite and my smart watch that was left in the car was stolen by the lady who drove the car into the secured parking area, the hotel has done nothing to resolve the problem apart from tell me there is no evidence that this happened so pretty much called me a liar Be very carefully leaving valuables in your car and rooms as they have dishonest people working at this hotel

整体非常棒,下次有机会还会选择住这间酒店。

Due to Our tour organiser Discover Australia Holidays’ lack of responsibility & communication we were in embarrassing & awkward situation while check m-in to Movenpick, Hobart. But, Reception staffs were so calm & helpful to sort it out. Tesoro restaurant food & staff is excellent. Very good & convenient location.

Lovely room. Friendly staff. Within easy walking distance to nice restaurants, bars and eateries. Food at the restaurant was disappointing, especially the pizza. Chocolate hour was a let down as was the kids ice cream.

We stayed recently for 4 nights for a work meeting and have stayed here before. We had a spacious room on Level 4 as we were after room size instead of outlook. We had breakfast, dinner and drinks in the restaurant several times and were satisfied with the food and our choices. There is a chemist warehouse right next door and plenty of shops and dining options within easy walking distance. Constitution Dock is a short stroll away where the Drunken Admiral which is one of our favoured restaurants is located

Loved our stay, staff helpful and kind and accommodating. Would stay again.

酒店位置極佳,乘車前往景點非常方便。酒店房間新淨,洗手間舒適,附有各式茶包如客人選用。下午3:30-4:30餐廳門口有免費糕點提供,味道不錯。

An awesome location in central Hobart, check in and out were effortless, the customer service was first class staff were extremely helpful nothing was too much effort. Lovely comfortable room.

There were no mugs or cups in our room, despite there being three of us. We had to request them three times, and even then, we only received two. The room's ventilation was not functioning properly, and the shower curtain was far too short. When we requested a replacement, we realised it was meant for a different type of room, but they eventually installed the correct one. Additionally, the breakfast menu was quite limited for vegetarians and those who eat halal. On a positive note, the room was clean, the hotel's location was excellent, and the staff were friendly.

We loved staying except we had to leave little notes asking for extra breakfast tea bags and sugars because some days they did not even seem to be filled up. We stayed for 5 nights and loved it. Did not like the pillows. I was hard and the other was not much better. Maybe a softer pillow choice would be nice.

Rooms were comfy. Air con was all over the place. Reception was understaffed badly. Valet parking was under the pump and not at all reliable. The chocolate hour is delicious. Buffet breakfast was brilliant. Great location.

Clean room excellent staff service, great location. Ropm had no view but a brick wall.

这次入住超乎了想象 位置优越 餐食好吃 服务很好 免费甜点 总之各方面非常完美

nice location and very clean

I stayed here with my family for 3 days - their services are exceptional. They are located conveniently in the CBD only 15-20 minutes from the airport and the harbour was just 3-5 mins walk. The rooms are very well designed, the gym was little cozy. It has convenient stores nearby by Chemist Warehouse or Woolies. Also, good restaurant nearby. Would stay again if in Hobart. Two biggest drawback are 1) parking - it's a wallet parking at $35 per day, you lose freedom to access your car at anytime and gotta wait for 30 mins, and 2) breakfast menu was limited and costlier, the place where buffet was served was very cozy and not very spacious.

非常好服務酒店房間非常乾淨企理有現代感服務一流位置非常之好更大街值得推介

Gorgeous room and hotel. Great staff too

Nice view from the hotel

Great location with easy walking access to Salamanca and the waterfront. Excellent facilities, clean and comfortable. Staff were very helpful and friendly.

Very happy with my stay at Movenpick hobart from 18-21/01/25 (Sat to Tue) for AU$606 - the rate (20% off for diamond tier) is even better than their end of year sale via official website as an ACCOR member (15% off)Since other's reviews of classic rooms seem depressing as there is no view at all.....thus I booked a superior room with city view. However being allocated to room 403 on the 4/F .....instead of full length windows as per promotional pics.....my window is relatively less impressive. Also there is a high pitch wheezing sound from the corridor......but the sound has gone once we open our door..... hopefully I can have a better room above 5/F next time. Chocolate hours and the day bed in the room are something that we liked most, not much interaction with staff so hard on their hospitality....but on the day of check in around 3pm, a cleaning staff just entered and shocked to see us inside. She thought the room needs to be clean hopefully not making her scared

Lovely and helpful staff, great location and delicious sweets offered during chocolate hour which is a nice point of difference. Amenities were also very good. Would highly recommend.

Stayed 4 nights. I was lucky to get a room on the 15 floor facing the mountain views, away from the noisy clock tower. Room is spacious and clean and I love that the TV has Chromecast. Location is fantastic. Less than 5 minutes walk from the skybus pick up and drop off location (opposite Travel and Info Centre, stop number 3), the brook street pier, and easily walkable to many other attractions and plenty of food option around the hotel! Really friendly concierge staff and I appreciate that they brought my luggage up to the room once it was ready.

位置很好,去碼頭市中心和附近出名的美食也很近,房間舒適乾淨

Staff always very friendly. Room adequate but on the small side. Chair was very hard. Room facilities would be adequate for single traveller with one case.

I stayed 4 nights with Movenpick and had enjoyed my stay overall, with the exception of 2 incidents on the last 2 days that made the experience less pleasant. Let’s start with the good: - Great location. Less than 5 minutes walk to Skybus stop which is opposite the tourist and info centre. If you are doing day tours, the tourist and info centre is also the main pick-up point. It’s also easily walkable to many other attractions like brook street pier, museum, Salamanca market and Elizabeth Mall is just a stone throw away from the hotel. - Good room size as compared to other hotels in the vicinity. - Good service. I appreciate that they processed my check in even before the room was ready and brought my luggage to the room once it was ready. Nothing new but not many hotel does it these days. - Clean. Good housekeeping for 3 nights but on my last night, towels were not hung up (just placed on bed), amenities not restocked and drinking cup left unwashed. It think it is important to standardise housekeeping standards. The not-so-pleasant experience: Besides the one-off housekeeping incident, a miscommunication occured during my stay. It is related to the complimentary chocolate treats, which I now know it’s called “Chocolate hour” (complimentary) and not “Chocology” ($39). When I was checking in, chocolate hour was not mentioned. I chanced upon it in the lift advertisement but didnt manage to read in details as it switched over to another advertisement quickly. I called concierge wanting to find out more but no one picked up the call. So I googled “Movenpick” and “chocolate” and found out about Chocology, which I later saw again in the check-in letter. I had thus assumed the complimentary chocolate session was called Chocology. The check-in letter stated that booking is required so I called concierge on my last night to book. So I had Chocology the next day and was told to pay $39. That was when I was told the complimentary chocolate treats is called “Chocolate hour” which was not mentioned in the letter. After much explanation of the causes of miscommunication, the concierge has kindly waived it off but the whole experience was not very pleasant. I hope that Movenpick would consider making it clearer in the check-in letter by writing down both types of chocolate session. This will leave no room for confusion. For those who are sensitive to sounds, the walls are really thin. I’ve read other reviews about wall-facing windows and clock tower noises but I was lucky enough to get a room facing the mountains and away from clock tower.

Superb central location and the room is clean and comfortable. The chocolate hour 3:30-4:30 free chocolate cake is a great event for guest.

Location is great, staff are super lovely and happy to help. Only notes are that: - the rooms are a little small (bathroom bigger than bedroom) and - the parking is a bit of a nightmare - $35 per day and a small 5min parking zone inside the bus interchange to disembark.

We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights in January. I booked through a 3rd party and they guaranteed a certain room size, however hotel gave us a smaller room with almost not much views. For this price the hotel doesn’t have any swimming pool, jacuzzi, steam room, car park, lounge or a proper gym! The restaurant was advertised as the best but the food was pretty average. We asked for a simple hot chocolate as a room service and they even couldn’t make that one right! Breakfast is not a real buffet breakfast and could have been improved after trying it once, I decided to go and eat outside. Overall I rate this hotel 3/5.

Great hotel, great staff and location. Breakfast was well thought however the ingredients used are okay but can see quality difference

Hotel is ok, not a value for money, for the rates I’m paying, there are other hotels which offer the same. One thing that must be said, parking is a hassle, the hotel charges A$35 per day, starts from checking in to when you check out. Only valet parking, one can probably do the parking yourself around the hotel and may even cheaper. But the worst is they informed you that to get the car it will take 25 minutes. In my first time to pick the car, it actually took them almost 40 minutes, so if you’re in a hurry take the Uber, you’ve probably arrive at the destination. Just don’t know why most hotels in the West, and Australia and NZ included, just can’t be compared to those in Asia in terms of values for money, services and quality of the hotels. It’s probably people over here has lower expectations. In most cases I’d discount their ratings on google and would specifically look for reviews by Asian person.

Stayed 3 nights and wish we could have stayed longer! Brilliant cooked to order breakfast, sensationally appointed bedroom and bathroom. 10/10 recommend

Fantastic hotel in a great central location. Amazing restaurant. Fantastic staff.

Very convenient location. Modern rooms. Storage a little lacking. Valet parking a big help. Service at the Tesoro Restaurant was excellent. Very attentive waiters.

Great modern hotel. Quite pricy but has all the features. Breakfast was good.

Friendly staff and very clean good size room, easy access to everything, it will be nice to have a bar to sit down and have drinks after your tour and definitely can improve the breakfast, happy to stay again.

We stayed here for 4 nights during the Christmas period and the hotel was very good. The breakfast buffet could have been better though. For the price, the hotel does not have a swimming pool/sauna, which is a disappointment. The hotel lobby is also too small for the number of guests so it's always full. Again, for the price point, amenities are lacking but the location is great. Personally, we would go with a different hotel next time if we are going to spend over $500 per day.

I cannot believe the amount of positive reviews, this is NOT our experience. 2 nights, 1-3 Jan 2025. Room is small. Terrible barn door dividing room from bathroom = no privacy in bathroom, may as well be open plan. No soundproofing in general, the hour and half hour post office clock tower ringing ALL NIGHT and the alarm from some parking garage kept us awake most of the night and we were on the 13th floor! Our checkin experience was terrible, we had a car and called the hotel and they said yes they had parking for $35 per night - no mention of the valet service or instructions on what to do - after circling the hotel twice, we finally found the back entrance where we could pull up (no spaces available out front) to come in and request access to parking and told that we need to check in first. At the reception desk they were majorly understaffed, it took us 30 min and we had pre-paid. Asked for ice for our room - that was an issue as the bar staff made an issue of it. I offered to pay. No one answers the phone - no one! I called reception, housekeeping, the bar/restaurant, the duty manager, reception again, all of them again - to book in my morning car valet departure. In the end had to go down to reception. Housekeeping didn’t replace the mini bar consumables. On a positive, room service food for breakfast was delicious, hot and speedily delivered. We will not be spending the dough on this experience again, it has put me off Accor. Do yourself a favour, book somewhere else.

Staff were welcoming and helpful throughout our stay, the hotel was in a great location walking distance to everything. Very clean, really comfortable bed and room had all we needed. Definitely recommend as a great stay.

From check in to check out, everything was perfect and no drama. Lovely staff and customer service were very nice to have during the busy season. Will be always a great option when visit Hobart.

the movenpick is a lovely and easy spot to stay in hobart. it’s so close to all the shops and the water too

My mom and I stayed here for several nights and had a wonderful experience. The location was ideal: very walkable to restaurants, Salamanca market, shops and the wharf. Our hotel room had a great view of the wharf. The staff was friendly, and helpful as well.

I am a platinum member and i was given an un-upgraded room with a view of a wall! Whats the point of becoming a platinum member when we are given sub standard stay

Great hotel in downtown area, lots of restaurants within walking distance. Get a higher floor room for a beautiful view of the harbor and cruise ships docking in Hobart.

It was comfortable enough.. good location and the room was a decent size. Chairs with the dining table weren’t the best, doesn’t match the standard the hotel is trying to set. Staff were lovely. However, we were charged incorrectly for drinks at the restaurant that we did not consume on the checkout. Saw this on our statement and contacted reception right away. I do understand human error may take place, and I hope that this will be refunded soon. The hotel was nice enough but nothing special

The hotel staff were always happy & professional, the views were great, room & amenities were perfect. Only inconvenience was the lack of parking, the hotel provides valet parking at a cost (Booking.com advertisement stated this was included) but this means if your wife left something the car you didn’t have access to it.

An Indian looking man at the Front Desk on duty in the evening of Dec 22/23 needs training on how to talk to the guests in polite manner, how to show respects and talk courteously. Housekeeping did not leave enough towel in our room on Dec 23 and we had to inform front desk. The towels came only after 25 minutes - not impressive!!!

最值得讚許的地方就是太方便了 想去餐廳酒吧或是附近景點徒步都是幾分鐘內的事情 乾淨又舒適性價比高 會再次選擇住宿

During Christmas am currently staying here for 5 nights with the beautiful harbour view windows in 16 floor, staff very friendly, always with big smiles, with delicious food from the restaurant, clean room, perfect location to anywhere, my pleasure if visit to Hobart definitely will be back. Highly recommended ⭐️

Very nice location, at the city centereverything is close and nearby

The fantastic staff were extremely polite and helpful. The room was clean and well appointed with one the best views ever.

Near to everything I wanted. Supermarkets. Salamanca. Pier. Good food.

The two ladies who managed the desk during my stay were so professional and friendly. My tour company made a mistake with my reservation payment, and they worked directly with them to correct it quickly and kept me updated. Thank you for an amazing visit to Hobart!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Mövenpick Hotel Hobart for two nights, and I couldn’t have been more impressed with the experience! From the moment I arrived, the level of service was outstanding. The front desk team was welcoming and made the check-in process smooth and effortless. The room itself was beautifully appointed—spacious, modern, and incredibly comfortable. I especially appreciated the thoughtful touches like the soft, high-quality bedding and the luxurious bathroom amenities. The view of Hobart's waterfront was breathtaking, and I enjoyed waking up to it each morning. The hotel’s location is perfect for exploring Hobart. It’s just a short walk to the waterfront, Salamanca Market, and all the local attractions, making it incredibly convenient. I also took advantage of the hotel’s dining options, and I highly recommend the restaurant. The breakfast buffet had a wide variety of delicious choices, and the coffee was excellent. One of the highlights of my stay was the attentive and friendly staff. Whether it was offering local tips or ensuring my needs were met, everyone at Mövenpick went above and beyond to make my stay memorable. Overall, my experience at Mövenpick Hotel Hobart was exceptional, and I will definitely be returning for my next visit to this beautiful city. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a blend of luxury, comfort, and top-notch service!

The lady in front desk was very lovely and accommodating, I forgot her name but she was beyond amazing, she made sure our add ons were being accommodated correctly and even made it better. Food at the restaurant (Tesoro) was great, especially the morning selection. The room was amazing and clean, The view was perfect, The gentleman on the front dest even helped my partner do his necktie and was very lovely about it. Great Job to everyone. One of the best hotel experience and I have worked in Marriott before and have stayed in a lot of hotels, and for me Mövenpick hobart has one of the best hospitality experience to offer to it’s guests.

Two day stay as part of a family holiday. Good clean rooms with plenty of space. Food in the restaurant was excellent (breakfast only). Staff really warm and welcoming. Parking was an issue so we used the valet service.
