Best bar ever thanks for the great night Hannah

I didn’t even get a drink… smells like ciggies. Class.

World worst Beer Selection Although that's Crown all over

Nice bar with a small balcony overlooking the Yarra River and very close to the Gas Bridge fire show area. You can feel the heat from the flames. No music outside, which is a bit odd. There are two bartenders and many people ordering cocktails and mocktails, so there's a long wait to order your drinks. It costs $16 for a pint, which isn't too bad considering the location. I also ordered a Jamason old fashioned, which brought back memories of the good old days. I had a great time with my friends there.

The establishment must be desperate for any kind of staff that they can get their hands on. I visited with 2 international guests at 1.15am on 23/1/22 and we were served with a single malt scotch neat x 2 and a vodka soda. I went back after 25min to get another round of drinks for my guests and they refused to give 3 drinks as they said it’s against their rules, was fine with that so got each guests to go get their own drink. Upon reaching the bar the new bartender said they can give us neat scotch lagavulin 16 yo which we were having and it has to be mixed with water/soda or coke!!! We challenged this rule and they turned really rude including the supervisor on duty who ended up saying his job is more important than us. He forget that his wages are coming from guests like us, otherwise he wouldn’t have a job. But the mixing expensive single malts which they charge a premium for and telling us how to drink our drinks (second drink only) is very appalling and the bartenders and supervisor have no manners or etiquette with dealing with their clientele, they need to be stood down and trained rigorously. Appalling at such an establishment which once was a prime venue to attend. I would suggest asking them for their book or rules before attending (to which they failed to produce anywhere printed or electronic) go upto ocean 12 up above - much better and trained staff.

Kinda weird getting served in plastic schooners only, the outdoor bars’ tap beer collection was also below average. However, the location is all its about here.

The view is great

Cocktails are great and seating is beautiful, plus non alcoholic versions for every drink! However the bar tenders were very rude and when we pointed out that they thought we ordered 3 drinks instead of 2, they said “we double checked with you (they didn’t) so we don’t make mistakes” and we had to pay for an extra drink for $22
