Great feed at hotel after watching movie with a great bunch of girls. Hotel was very accomodating of adding extra people and helped with efficient delivery of food. Lovely food and well presented. A good night out with great location to TTP

The Modbury Hotel is a solid spot for a feed and a good time. The place has a nice, relaxed vibe with plenty of space to sit and enjoy a meal. The food is tasty! The staff are friendly and make sure you're looked after. Whether you're catching up with mates or grabbing a family dinner, the Modbury Hotel is always a good choice!

The Modbury Hotel is normally a good place to dine but today for lunch there appeared to be nobody rostered to clear tables. We had to go and ask for somebody to clear our tables as we were ordering our deserts. The tables were cleared prior to our deserts and coffee arriving but then nobody came near us to clear the table after that. I noticed it was the same on all other tables. Somebody not doing their job!!!

Easy to enter & exit park. Kerbside view appealing On entering, very nice. Fresh, salad/veg bar, a pleasant surprise. Seating comfortable & booths were great. Good service & plenty of staff offering assistance. Scotch fillet fresh & cooked to perfection & seafood tasty & fresh, but, lacked seasoning & very oily, chips were average. Prices were a tad high. The main downside, was the noise inside of people just talking, It was deafening. A sound proofing of some type would be of huge benefit. We couldnt stay on as noise was too much & not enjoyable. Fix it please & we will keep attending🙂

Just called in for lunch in the Bistro. The salt and pepper chicken was good, and the entree size was huge.

So, I went to the Modbury Hotel for dinner with my mate, initially planning to play it safe and go for the classic schnitty—you can’t really go wrong with that, right? But we both felt like trying something different, even though nothing on the menu jumped out at us immediately. We wandered up to the counter and were greeted by a guy named Connor. First, he whipped up a lemon, lime, and bitters for me—probably one of the best I’ve had. The only hiccup? I asked for no ice, and it showed up with ice. To his credit, Connor noticed straight away, fixed it up, and didn’t miss a beat. Since the drink was spot on, we figured we’d ask Connor for food recommendations. He threw a few options our way, and we decided to trust his advice and go with the open pie of the day—chicken and leek. Let me tell you, that pie *delivered*. When the food arrived, it completely blew my expectations out of the water. The chicken was tender, falling apart in the best way, and the flavors were incredible. It was hearty, filling, and honestly, a contender to rival a classic schnitty. Pair that with the salad bar, and it was the perfect meal. Overall, big shoutout to Connor for his top-notch service, killer drink skills, and spot-on food advice. 5/5 experience—if you’re at the Modbury Hotel and unsure what to get, just ask Connor. You won’t regret it!

Nice pub for a meal and drink

We had an amazing night, the food was excellent and the staff were very helpful and friendly. The new alfresco areas were lovely and we had a table of 10, which was no bother at all for them to arrange.

Not impressed with the service, everyone seems really busy and stressed out and no time for the customers.

Hosted an event for work on Saturday with the amazing help of kassandra, she was an absolute pleasure to deal with and made the night super successful! The food was sensational and the staff were a pleasure to deal with....will be back for many more events

We ordered the roast and it was just large chucks of meat with not much gravy. I also had fish skin on my meat and in my gravy. Was very disappointed since it such a simple meal it was just chucked on the plate with no care or presentation.

Been coming to the Modbury since the 90,s . Tonight was the first night I walked out unhappy. From the moment I approached cashier to get my table and was confronted by a rude new manager that was frustrated at me for asking for a plumbers schnitzel that had been taken off the menu. Food quality has gone down hill and the soft shell crab came out cold. I will be taking my money elsewhere from now on as it was not a enjoyable night with my family.

Father’s Day 2024 .. table 40 If I wasn’t with family I would have sent it back .. if burnt dried out pepperoni pizza is your thing excellent… It’s real hard to do simple pizza badly but you managed it .. personally I prefer mine less dry … with less black .. sorry no photos as like I said I was with family

The renovated section looks and feels amazing. Your dining room needs updating, too. Poor seating means you are too low for your dining table. The air-conditioning intakes are disgusting & need cleaning as they sit above tables where food is served. The biggest letdown is the food. We had two pizzas and an open pie, total cost $88!! The pizza was very average in taste. The open pie was all sauce, hardly any meat, and way too much garlic. Most of our table and the table behind us left alot of food on their plates. A big sign it was not good. You have a great location but I would choose to eat across the road to get beautiful food for half the price.

We enjoyed a Birthday Lunch here today and unfortunately the quality of the meals has gone down..Smaller meals and the Beer Battered Fish was not cooked properly..Be careful..You have a good reputation but if the meals are not up to standard this will be lost very quickly! We celebrated my son’s 50th birthday in the new function area last night. It was an amazing night, Kass and all the bar and food staff worked tirelessly to make it a perfect party. The food was magnificent, the venue fantastic, the service amazing. I highly recommend the Modbury Hotel for a truly memorable event. So many thanks to all at the Modbury Hotel, so much appreciated!! Very disappointed with food. Small serves. My husband ordered pork chops and only got 1. Food was virtually cold when we got it. Standard has dropped. Salad/veg bar not kept stocked. Roast pumkin and carrots floating in oil. Very noisy so talking to our friends was difficult.

Very disappointed booked a table but got told it was taken and was not contacted to advise of change of table. Firstly the service was not up to normal standard the roasted potatoes were full of oil and the medium steak was cooked to medium well and visa Vera salad bar and vegetable bar was empty at 6.00. Will not recommend at go back against

Always a great pub with fabulous staff

We had the worst experience for lunch yesterday. Firstly go to the cashier for ask for menu only to be told rudely to go to the back of the line and wait to be given a table. Whoever came up with the idea of lining up for a menu has rocks in their head. Line up for 10 mins to get a menu then go back to a given table to read menu, then have to line up again for ages to order. Then to get a meal that is ver substandard was disappointing. A bit of cheerfulness or smile from the staff would have been nice. The only pleasant very helpful person was Leanne. Thanks Leanne.

Went with two friends for lunch yesterday and wow, great food, great staff, great atmosphere. I have to admit I am a tad fussy as working in the hospitality industry for over 30 years I am a tad picky with staff and food but rate this hotel ten out of ten. Tough on the budget now so also was impressed with the senior discount, only place I know that have it seven days a week for lunch and dinner. Drink price good too

We had a beef schnitzel and it was like eating cardboard and full of gristle, the plain margarita pizza was too salty to eat! Yuk who puts salt on pizza?? The salad/ veg bar looked like left over from lunch re heated. Yes the hotel now looks great with the renovations but please up the game on food and change the menu!

Had an incredible Sunday lunch at The Modbury Hotel! The beef brisket was tender, the Yorkshire pudding perfectly cooked, and the Aussie Burger was mouth-watering. The chicken stir-fry was packed with flavour and the chicken was succulent. The chef here is top-notch – highly recommend this spot for a fantastic meal!

Another discraceful meal 3rd complaint in a row in the last two months bowl of chips came out with all the chips stuck together couldn't be eaten time for some new staff as the existing staff are taking advantage of regular customers.

Damn that tish girl served so well, amazing customer service. My nephew told me and I thought, yeah she's been really good. So I thought I'd leave this review, I'd been there for a 50th and found her service great.

Our bartender tish was one of the best and most funny bartender in my life all the people at the party enjoined her spark of humanity instead of just gives you a drink then asks for money

Tysh/however you spell it was the greatest bartender/waitress I've had in a good long time, she accommodated any and every request we had with both speed and grace. we were there at a 50th and she listened to our requests and worked with speed. +1 tysh amazing bartender. I'm a manager at my bar/restaurant and I would happily hire her!
