I purchased a ps4 controller After being informed by staff that a specific controller would work for a ps4, and many questions in regards to its operations. Got home, wouldn't work. Spent another 2 hour round trip to visit store with controller. Only to find out the controller is not suitable for ps4. When asked what am I suppose to do with it, staff member shrugged his shoulders and said nothing. No offer of store credit or refund. Definitely won't be going back, nor recommending this store. Giving out false info on products. NOT HAPPY!!

Decided to go to this shop cuz they have more choices for computer products than others do. Me and my friends went to the shop for keyboards. We already browsed on the website and are actually deciding between two brands before going in. We reached to an Indian staff to ask if we could had a look on the actual keyboard. He refused and explained that it is not allowed to open any boxes to see the actual product which we understand that’s the shop rule. However, we were quite unsatisfied with his service as he just said ‘no no, you are not allowed to see the actual product by opening any boxes’, and then walked away. We expected that he could explain and compare the two brands to give us more information. But the service we received was like we don’t know anything about computer products and we are not gonna buy anything. We then asked another staff for help who is very helpful on explaining and answering all our questions. We didn’t ask for his name but we really appreciate his service. We finally bought keyboards from the shop. One star for the first staff Five stars for the second staff

Can't believe this store hasn't been fire bombed. Rip off merchants that refuse refunds on broken, faulty products with weird, rude staff members. Don't shop here. I don't believe any of the 5 star reviews are real.

I recently bought a laptop from this store. I asked them to fit an SSD for me which took them 2 hours to do. When I got the laptop home the hinge cover broke off and the SSD wasn’t fitted properly and it was rattling around inside. I came back to the store and was refused a refund. The technician also accused me of opening the laptop myself. So my only option was to order another under the warranty. They made me wait over a hour in the store. They told me it would only take 2 days to be shipped in, it took a week. Then I had them fit the SSD again, the technician told me to come back in 30 minutes then asked for another 20 minutes and told me he’d call me. I received no call, waited another 40 minutes and then was told the laptop was faulty. I asked for a refund which to my surprise they actually went through with however they had me waiting another 30 minutes while they served another customer to issue me my refund. The staff I’ve dealt with were very patronising and were mostly rude. I’m never buying from here again and wouldn’t recommend anyone else to either. It was absolute nightmare dealing with this store. I’d give it zero stars if I could.

I purchased a PG32UCDP monitor online for click & collect in the early morning (before opening times). Within a couple of hours I received an email advising the monitor was ready for click & collect pickup. The store has free 15 minute street parking out the front, collection was easy. I've been using the monitor for a few days now with no issues! There was no damage to the packaging and everything is in perfect condition.

I placed a very large order that took longer then expected to source the items but the boys at center com were very helpful nandish kept me in the loop of everything happening along with toby and darion very happy with my experience

Nonexistent service. 😴 I wandered the store for a good 40 minutes and not one single staff member asked if they could assist. Consequently my money walked out the door with me.

I visited there today (super last minute) and was really impressed by Craig who managed to disassemble and clean my laptop, including a scrub and reapply of thermal paste, fan clean, screen and keyboard clean, and reassemble in under half an hour before closing! Thanks for the great service mate.

Great service. Excellent product range and availability. Bodi served us and we didn't feel that he was putting a 'hard sell' on us. He was genuinely helpful and knowledgeable and friendly, whilst recommending products that were sensible and appropriate for our needs. Won't shop anywhere else for anything to do with computers from now on.

They sold me a 4TB nvme drive m.2 slot which my desktop didn't have. The PCIE 2.0 x16 slot was used with an adapter to m.2 slot. It worked great. The read speed was not as high as it would have been in a native m.2 slot but 1288 MB/s is not too bad.

Nandish was extremely rude, he started by staring at me and then followed me around shop, singling me out asking to give me his handbag. I told him it’s an expensive handbag with other extremely valuable items. He got annoyed I would not give it to him and then tried to intimidate me by using his body to block me from exiting one of the aisles and demanded I leave the store. I pointed out there were other customers with handbags twice the size of mine but they were older ladies and he allowed them to walk in. As I was leaving I tried to get the attention of one of the other staff members to cancel my click and collect, but Nandish kept interrupting me making sure I didn’t speak to anyone else before I had left. Super annoyed cos I have built 2 pcs and half my server with these guys but will be shopping with Umart or Interstate from now on.

Worst experience, all caused by one person (Nandish). He needs to be trained on how to interact with customers because he was very rude.

These people are shocking to deal with. Placed an order for items advertised as in stock on there web site. Three weeks later still no product received and when inquired told they are waiting on stock and will be another 3 weeks! Now I am one week out from Christmas and have to find alternate supply. Very disappointed.

Now, I rarely review stores and such but I feel like centrecom Adelaide deserves an exception I have been shopping there for the last few months and I have got to say, their customer service and expertise is top notch, I also like their great selection of computer products allowing me to pick the components I need One criticism is that there is a credit card surcharge but this can hardly be blamed as they still accept cash for purchase (unlike msy which is card only with surcharges) I'll make sure to come here again and again!

Whatever you do, never ever go to these scammers. Completely UnAustralian way of running a business. Only store I have come across in Australia that tries everything it can to not accept a return. They will try and charge you a bunch of fees including a restocking fee. Do these guys want return customers or not? It truly is mind boggling to me how business like this manage to survive for so long.

Really well stocked store, with lots of very cool and useful items. They have a great switch testing keyboard which is super helpful for finding what you like. My only feedback is that the store isn’t so great at managing customer and space flow - we had a bunch of people just grouped together at a spot where we had to walk past multiple times and it was really obstructive. The other thing is that their stock isn’t always aligned with the price tags - which is a little deceptive or possibly just disorganised. But a product I expected to be $79 was $166 at checkout which was very disorienting (especially when I was also being dumped on with a tonne of information about no exchange or returns and this much extra for credit card etc etc). But otherwise great place, glad it’s here, it could just be better organised and managed.

Had a great range of high performance tech, from custom keyboards and headsets to desktops and laptops. Bohdi was super helpful in identifying a laptop with the specs we were after, and we were able to purchase what we needed in the same visit.

worst service never going back agaiin placed and order for click and collect and went to collect it was adviced i was late for colletion and the order is been cancelled and i was been refunded and also they told me i was been notified abt the cancelled order through mail but i never received any mail or my money back couple of hours later leaving the store today received an email reminder to pick up my order or it ll be cancelled such a bullshit

Could be the worst warranty experience I've ever had with a store. Product was damaged, got repaired under warranty, came back damaged, was sent back, came back damaged again, and has been sitting with them for 3-4 months, claiming that an investigation has been underway every time I call. Truly can NOT recommend less! :D

Bought a replacement CPU that I couldn't get working in my system even after BIOS update. I returned this but was forced to pay a large restocking fee without Centre Con even checking if the hardware was faulty. Also the manager tried to refuse return with a bunch of made up excuses, thankfully the technicians know what they're dealing with and accepted the return. Manager then proceeded to leave halfway through conversation to shout at her busy staff and get someone else to come and process the refund. Remember this is the same company that sold systems with dodgy bootleg versions of Windows.. Very unprofessional and untrustworthy seller, pay the extra 20 and go somewhere local.

Beware of the return policy. Wouldn't allow consumer to check since the packaging is sealed. Wouldn't accept any returns. Will use any excuse possible to reject your request. Buying here was just like gambling

I asked them to build me a PC, and after a few days, I noticed it was taking too long to boot into Windows. I emailed their support, and they just sent me some troubleshooting steps that didn’t work. I managed to solve the issue myself thru bios but after a few days, the same problem came back. When I checked the motherboard, I found a loose cable, and the pin it was connected to was bent. I sent the PC back to their shop to have it fixed. After just a few days messaged me saying it was fixed, but when I went to collect it, the pin was still bent. They had only reconfigured something to fix the boot issue, but I didn’t agree with their approach and asked them to address the problem with the motherboard. Their staff told me to leave the PC again, promising to fix it and replace the motherboard. They called me to collect the PC again, but when I arrived, their technician admitted he had only reconnected something because their initial setup was incorrect. However, when I checked the motherboard, the bent pin was still not fixed. The technician tried to fix it in front of me with his bare hands. I reminded him that they had promised to replace the board since it was still under warranty. He then consulted with his manager, and I overheard the manager blaming me, claiming that I was the one who bent the pin. They leave me no choice but to accept their DIY fix. And also, when I got home there’s already a scratch on my pc case. I’m very disappointed with the manager's attitude, which reflects why their staff provide such poor customer service. I highly do not recommend this shop!

Had trouble assembling a desktop myself after buying all the parts from them (not little money), so I took everything in for support - got charged 50 bucks for about 10 mins of help, which felt like a lot

I purchased a Samsung S23 FE from them and and realised I was meant to buy S23 not S23 FE ( didnt know there is FE version). So I contacted them and was refused saying it is their policy not to refund phones even it is still sealed and the policy is on their website. I explained to them that S23 fits my size and S23 FE is too big for me. They said they will go review my request but won't promise anything. 'Who would check the return policy before buying things?' Anyway I apologized for the inconvience caused and told them I have raised a ticket the next day after I purchased and I did not open the box at all ect. They said it will cost money for them if they take the return as the item might have to go back interstate. 'This phone is actually sent from Adelaide store, check pic. ' I strongly advise you check their policies before you buy anything. This is the first company in Australia I came across refusing to refund even when the item is not opened, still brand new in the postal package.

New mobo refused to install a wifi driver. Tech guys provided a fix and checked that it worked on my board. Very good service.

I attempted to purchase a keyboard from Centre Com last night. At the end of the order process, having already taken the money from my bank account, I got an email informing me that since I use a VPN, the order has been placed on hold. They then wanted me to send in: 1) A copy of my driver's license. 2) A photograph of my debit card. 3) A photograph of a recent utility bill. All because I use a VPN, something that is incredibly common these days. And there is no warning at the point of sale that this will occur. I rang them up to sort it out and was informed that yes, they were serious. Did not take my concerns seriously. Said they'd cancel the order but that it would take THREE to FIVE days to get my money back. What an absolute clown show of a company. No other vendor I've ever purchased parts from, and I've been building PCs for the better part of three decades, has ever behaved this way. This is absolutely reprehensible behaviour. You should not be taking people's money up front like this. I will be taking this further.

Bought a fantastic gaming rig (King 95 v2) that I could not build myself for the same price. Absolutely stoked. Easy click and collect- bought online on a Saturday morning and was ready for pickup that arvo!

Great range, advice and service. They do charge a 15% restocking fee on returns if opened but the advice provided reduces the need to take purchases back. I saved $100’s on my laptop and feel I couldn’t have done any better, anywhere else.
