Relaxed atmosphere. Good food at reasonable prices. Easy to have a conversation as not noisy at all.

This RSL is big. We have taken many friends and family here, and it never disappoints. The venue is modern with well priced tasty meals and an extensive drinks bar. I highly recommend a visit to the Bentleigh RSL.

It’s close to home, some of the cheapest drinks in Melbourne at happy hour. Clean, spacious toilets. Lovely dining area, with seasonal menus.

The redesign has retirement village vibes. A lot less families than 5 years ago (it used to be booked out even mid week) ...mostly oldies now. Food ok but we miss the old dishes. Bring back the schnitzel with tomato medley! Our waitress was miserable.

Just walked to have a drink at the bar and the whole place smells like fried oil. Terrible..smells like a fast food outlet. You need to to sort that out quick smart. Won’t be coming here again!

Bentleigh RSL seems to be surviving off pokies profits. The main dining area was only 1/3 full on Saturday evening. The atmosphere was dull. Meals are overpriced relative to the eating experience, which is sub-par. Steak is pricey if you consider what you get- see photo. For a venue that used to be humming, there's so much wasted potential!

My friends and I when there last night for a meal. Told to sign in and find a table, it was very busy. Found 1 last table but it was full of the last parties glasses, napkins etc Asked a lady there if we could have the table, she gave us an annoyed look, gathered up the glasses and napkins and left I assumed she would be back to wipe the dirty table down, never saw her again, table was not clean We ordered our meals, my Greek souvlaki came out, stone cold, chips and meat literally stone cold, the other peoples meals warm First and last visit there, not a great experience Bar staff were very polite and friendly

Bentleigh RSL offers a good experience overall, especially with their beverage prices, which are quite reasonable. However, the meals lean toward the pricier side for what you receive. Ordering the vegan burger, I was pleased with the taste, but the portion size left much to be desired. Specifically, the 12 chips that accompanied the burger felt sparse, especially considering the $25 price tag. While the food quality was there, portion sizes for the price could definitely be improved.

Friendly staff, excellent seniors meals and yummy desserts

Friendly local restaurant. Easy rear parking. Went with family & friends, plenty of space to sit & chat for weeknight dinner. Not much menu varieties to offer. Souvlaki has great presentation but meat was too chewy. Not recommended.

My veal & sage ravioli was dry with a tasteless tomato sauce on top. U could have made better at home with a can of tomato purée and frozen pasta. The chef or manager even be bothered coming out to discuss the matter. Very disappointing.

They change the menu and probably the chef as well. The food is hediously expensive and the quality of the food is average. The steak cost $49 dollars with few pieces of chips and small salad. The steak is cremated serve after I asked for medium rare. I asked for red wine just and they gave us gravy that doesn't have any taste. There is no proper service. They need to train the staff.

Wednesday Parma and Pot. Seriously people the beer was cold and tasty but the Parma was totally unacceptable. Dry, cool and at points - mushy and totally tasteless. The chef really needs to TRY and eat what he’s attempting to cook. It was pretty awful. Not in any hurry to go back. Sad but needs major attention. Not happy Jan. 🤬

What you can expect from a RSL, but nothing more. Neat, clean, the staff could be a bit more happy, especially at the reception where you feel like a criminal entering a prison. I’m glad they updated recently their policy to ask your drivers license and your phone number. Couple times I explained to them how’s is that not so legal, hopefully they took in consideration. When I’m going somewhere for a coffee/drink/dinner why I should be expected to give all my personal info? Apart this food is good, coffee can get an improve but it’s cosy and familiar.

Love this joint but dissapointing majority of their Guinness glasses do not have a logo, how are we supposed to split the G with no logo

The food is not that great. Starters were fine.

Upon visiting the pokies area spending a great deal of money. Wanting a glass of wine at the bar. No service. Went back half an hour later standing at the bar for some time no service. Managed to go to another area I found a person asked for service . He managed to service me but not very friendly how can this happen. No service????

The food is huge... OMG, order your Parma as a share.. Service was quick, really easy to book, will come again.

We had my daughter’s 3rd birthday there on Sunday, with 25 people. The staff were amazing and did such a great job with serving food and drinks and service was 5 start. Food was delicious with everyone getting all their meals at the same time and everyone said how nice their meals were. Thank you for making my little ones birthday so easy and enjoyable.

The club is now fully renovated. The dinning room is bright and light. Today is the start of Christmas in July. A well presented yummy 2 course dinner. See my photos. Great parking out the back. Staff very friendly and we would give the menu 9.9 out of 10. Also very cosy on a cold winters day.

The security guard at the gaming venue, the tall derelict looking one. Why don’t you make your mind up, fighting with people over I.D to harassing them in the venue, to then you don’t know them… you are a glorified receptionist. Come off your high horse. Degenerate.

Overall ok. One waitress was the worst I have seen in my life. Worst service ever.

Great Gluten free menu options, just really lack any flavour at all. I had the spaghetti marinara, it was as if someone had cut the pasta in 2cm pieces quite disappointing when you pay $32 Don’t use the app to order… management don’t even know how to use it.

What a lovely club. Our veterans association was granted the use of a meeting room, and the staff were a pleasure to deal with. The facilities are expansive and of a very high quality. We hope to meet here again.

After been coming to this venue for quite some time I noticed less and less people coming back. I can understand why. Every now and then while playing the pokies i noticed a couple of staff members watching me.that made me feel very uncomfortable. After that I started to lose big time. Quite a lot of my friends experienced the same thing.they told me they not going back there anymore..they told me the staff working there 're dishonest. And I intend to agree with them. I too won't be going back there. And I urge everyone to do the same thing and that is don t go back there. Also the food there is not that good as well. You've been warned.

I have lived in the area for many years and I cannot believe I have only just visited here for dinner recently. The meals are lovely and the staff were friendly. My only criticism was that we had asked for all meals to come out at the same time (including kids meals) and although acknowledged at the time of ordering, the meals came out with kids well before the adult mains. Otherwise, my meal was delicious and everyone enjoyed theirs too.

I had the Seniors Me Goreng Vegetable and chicken $20 Vegetable only $16. Friends fish & chips and salad more fish $20). Reasonable size they said it was delicious. Caesar salad looked ok. Nothing wrong with the food. We were on the carpeted area near the play area.

The staff are always friendly and you can’t beat the $22 Parma on a Wednesday night.

This a friendly, welcoming club, situated at the eastern end of the Bentleigh shppping strip. There are separate sections for the bistro, pokies and a sports bar/lounge area. The RSL is definitely worth a visit.

We have been coming to this RSL for over 20 years. We have seen many changes and many menus. We were here on Tuesday night for dinner and today Thursday for lunch. I am impressed with the standard and consistency of excellent service, food served and management. A special thank you to Bec who looked after us. We will be dining here more often now and just hope that you can maintain the excellent standard achieved.

Nice renovation which had created a very nice ambience Good food menu and good choice of beers etc. Service with a smile. I will try it again.

The security guard on Wednesday night, a tall and thin looking Indian guy was really disgusting, he always put his own personality and narrow thinking into work.

I like the venue, which is great for families, young and old. I usually like to food, but the 3 Mexican parmas we ordered last night were a disappointment. All three meals were chewy and lukewarm. The cheese and napoli sauce was dry as if these meals had been cooked hours ago and left on a hot plate. Clearly not freshly cooked as they were served within 10 minutes. I'm more than happy to wait longer for a good meal. Such a waste of a good sized schnitzel and 3 x $30! My daughter asked for lettuce on her cheeseburger. This request was rejected by the kitchen staff. Is it really that hard to add a leaf of lettuce to a burger?? On a positive note, there are plenty of beers on tap and the drinks are reasonably priced compared to other pubs.

Good place for a meal. I was there for a meeting so we were allowed to use the small area off the main dining area which, when the doors are closed, is quite private. I find the meals good and the selection of wine fine. I order the seniors meals as they are more reasonable in size.

Great gluten free options with a separate fryer.

Really nice place...haven't been before. Organised our basketball presentation there and we had a V.I.P room. 😉 very friendly staff good food, definitely will be back.

One of the better RSLs I've been to.

We visit this place frequently. Great playground for kids. Good sitting options. I would recommend booking on the busy nights like Friday and Saturday. Manu changes frequently so you shouldn't get bored.

The meals are very good & reasonably priced. The only drawback is that if you are on your own, the seating options are disappointing.

You simply have to try the food here as it is absolutely fantastic. Plenty of beers on tap plus anything else you might want. Make sure you are hungry though as the meals are huge!!! Anyway off to check out the dessert bar now.......

Big barn of a place, impersonal and food not cheap for a club, but do have seniors menu. Not my cup of tea

Went with a group of family friends for dinner. Very disappointed with my meal. Porthouse Steak. Ordered well done and received medium. Steak was almost a third fat. Complained to waiter and nothing was done. Had to order another meal at my expense because I was hungry. So much for a happy night. Happened a while ago with another friend and again nothing done by management. Cheltenham RSL a lot better.

Food is okay. Service was acceptable.

Had 300g porter house steak with mushroom sauce, chips and salad. Was very tasty, the others I was with also enjoyed there food. This is my second time here and I recommend it if you want a more casual environment. Oh also has a child play area.

Love going there such a well organised place. Has awsome pokie machines and the food is fresh and so good. Staff is friendly and helpful.
