Private and the rooms are clean with ur own private outdoor space. Convenient and close to shops. I recommend to stay here if u need to have a little getaway. Love the room service they provide. Very convenient.

Stayed overnight here to attend a function across the road. Booked last minute, got a family room as a single person but pleasantly surprised with clean renovated bathroom with bath. Excellent staff service especially manager, David. Food good too

The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially driving from interstate and arriving early hours of the morning. The restaurant food was delicious, again the staff friendly. The shower hot and great pressure. The bed was dreamy to sleep in. Free tea and coffee. Great location.

Fijn verblijf! We kregen zelfs een upgrade naar 3 persoons kamer en een gratis welkomsdrankje bij de bar. Super vriendelijk personeel. Het eten was erg lekker (schnitzel).

Comfortable beds & the food at bistro was amazing

Sunday evening 6pm , service bad, no one seated us so we seated ourselves. Corn fritters are very crispy, cheesy bacon garlic bread was good! Kids meal but her was greasy, steak was tough, chicken Parma was meant to be mega ( nothing mega about it) snitzel was soggy and cheese was barely melted, pretty sure it was processed chicken. Play park is dark ok for bigger kids but no so much for little ones. Kids machines are not maintained as they took money and didn’t return funds and the odds are against you for winning (much like poker machines). Wouldn’t be back

A little dirty in the room and noise from Springvale Rd but the bed - thumbs up And water pressure and shower - thumbs up But it’s seen better days and the room was a little beat up and like I say well just not clean.

The staff are lovely. The kettle didnt work so reception gave me a new one. Room was clean but had a real musty smell to it. The bathroom was okay but the upgrade looked like it was not done by a professional more like my paint job. Shower rose leaked down the wall and bathroom door jammed. Bed was nice and comfortable.

It was fine, the outside look was dodgy but it was alright. People were nice enough, and the inside was alright though there is no lock on the bathroom door. It was very loud as it is on the corner of 2 main roads. Ok location, across the road from maccas. It was fine for a few nights

Called into the Waltzing Matilda Hotel last week with friends, decor bit old however the meals were extremely good and cheap, soup and main course for lunch was $10 where||can you get 2 good courses for that? Like most pubs these days they offer incentives to go there and we will be back. Enjoyeed a good meal in quiet surroundings.

The bar and bistro seemed to be more of a priority and I was told they were busy with service in the bistro when it was taking forever to get a plug for the bath (paid extra for bath), but the plug never came. No bath and no refund. ||Had to search bar and gaming room for someone to check us in which was uncomfortable especially with our luggage in tow. ||Small details would be nice, like a hairdryer, dish cloths in kitchen, condiments, bedside lamp or switch near bed for main light. ||Hard to sleep with patrons leaving the bar until 3am. ||Positive is that it was clean.

I chose the Waltzing Matilda because it was relatively close to where I was working and having a bistro on site meant I didn't have to go out again when I finished work. It was comfortable enough, for an older building that has had some refurbishment and it had a good work area and good wifi. The food in the bistro is also good value. There is a major road close by and traffic noise was an issue as the room wasn't very sound proof. I also heard any conversation conducted in the car park outside just like it was being held in my room. For $99 a night though it actually exceeded my expectations.

My mother, sister and I stayed here overnight when we visited Melbourne for a funeral. Service over the phone was wonderful, but when we arrived we found things far from satisfactory. While the room was relatively clean, the single bed was on castors with no locking mechanism which caused it to move when my mother, who isn't very mobile, sat on it which could have resulted in a nasty fall.||||While there was free wifi, it didn't appear to work and I opted to use my phone's mobile data as the internet connection there was so slow as to not work at all. There was no hair dryer in the bathroom, which was a minor irritation but the worst thing of all was when we went to shower in the morning and there was no hot water. The handyman who came to look at it was more flippant than apologetic, making jokes about cooling off in hot weather and urging the hot water to start just by running a tap and talking to it. An offer was made for a late checkout as a means of compensation but given that we had a funeral to attend was hardly appropriate. An offer to use a separate unit's shower or a partial refund would have been way more appropriate.||||While I found the bed VERY comfortable and had a wonderful night's sleep, the lack of appropriate service as far as hot water was concerned resulted in a far from satisfactory experience. We'd driven from interstate in high 30's temperatures and a shower was pretty essential. Making do with a cold wash with a hand towel wasn't good enough. (There were no face washers).

Nicely renovated room. Beds were comfortable and a small outdoor area to sit. Room was clean as was bathroom. Meals available at the pub. Good service and good value for the meals. On site parking is available.
