Hate being a karen but…… appearance wise, looks beautiful - staff wise not so great. Would have to constantly walk up to the bar for drinks as you would be waiting 20 minutes plus for drinks whilst the bar staff at the gambling area would stand there chatting to each other … didn’t bother to check up on patrons at all and when you would request drinks would get a stinky attitude….

Second time here. On both occasions the food has been beautiful. Tom Yum soup, caramelised tofu, crying tiger, crab fried rice which got even better the second time!! Big thanks to Anthony and Robert. Great service and bustling atmosphere. Well worth the 35 mins travel time.

Excellent quality various types of food. Thai cuisine plus steaks are available. On Sunday afternoon, it was very busy. Night time is totally packed (according to a guy behind the counter). They prefer cash and don't accept credit cards for less than $20 and there's a surcharge for credit cards payments. For $42 it was $1.32 BESIDES that, I will be happy to dine in here

The regular clientele makes for a welcoming & friendly atmosphere. The Friday night raffles are always fun if you win, and the bar staff are very obliging.

I used to come here for 15 years since they renovated this place the service for tab bet is not good at all I win so many times so if I win 400$ they never let me cash out more then 50$ always excuse we don’t have money . Many times !!! Today I just came to the hotel I insert first note of 5$ try to bet for further 500$ machine stuck with the 5$ Is not about the money is just the attitude about information I was not told to wait and when I asked after almost 10 min they told me to wait !! Like they don’t care if you wait or go … I did go out I told this to the security it’s a bad service he start attacking me with words defending the staff he say I can go anywhere I want… I tryed to explain but he was stubborn to listen I told him I’ll wait for my 5$ it’s not about this 5$ but the attitude They call the manager she argue with me ….she then Go inside give me my 5$ she say probably I am angry for this 5$ because I lost money 🫤🫤 how she can know that…. I just arrived … I told her why I was upset …it’s because this is happening many times they dont give money when you win and now this ..!! She say I have your face on camera don’t come back here anymore.. you are banned!!! sooo I am banned because I am asking for my money ???? Nice I can see clearly what is this place I worked in hospitality for 25 years I’ve seen things but not like this when they renovated this place I didn’t say anything….. before I didn’t by food either because I’ve seen 🐭 like a 🐊 he was chased buy staff 😊😊😊 so definitely not coming back here anymore and I’ll pass this information to all my family and friends in this area to don’t come in Cabramatta hotel no wonder it’s empty and you have sooo many bad reviews AVOID this place

Watched the Super Bowl there and had a great day. Excellent atmosphere and they even threw on complimentary hot dogs at half-time….They were delicious too.

Quality food with Reschs on tap. Happy hour prices are spot on and need to remain for longer. Definitely need more bar staff at times to speed things up.

Situated opposite the train station this pub is the first place if you are visiting Cabramatta. My suggestion is it really is only good to get a refreshing alcoholic drink. You will get amazing food in the town itself which is much cheaper with a more authentic atmosphere. It really is quite soulless.

Dont get the restaurant and the hotel mixed the restaurant is the best but the hotel staff other then 2-3 bar girls are excellent, the rest are disgustingly rude , you need to treat this place like your in a library , this mainly caters for the Vietnamese gamblers , dont talk in pokie room , dont have a joke with staff , staff look like they just come back from a funeral , tony a Vietnamese manger there , fancys a female staff member there so if you get caught talking with her ,, no excuse your on his hit list , ive tried to contact licensing guy , lol , arrogant as the way its run , no reply , 3-4 times , what ever google reviews are that are bad trust me , there true dont go to have a social drink , unless your a loaner ,, ive herd lots of stories of people barred for no reason and given no reason , this place is run the same way the Cambridge tavern and Fairfield hotel are run , sick managers on highs ,, avoid trust me your experience will be the same as all the bad reviews ,, you want to enjoy a night or day out stardust hotel best managers best bar staff friendly place i promise you the experience will be the best ,,

Most (not all) staffs in the pokies room are really lazy especially the manager names ‘Amy’. Everytime I asked for drinks the staffs did not go grab a drink but standing there continue watching players play the pokies like zombies for 5-10 mins. I have to asked them 2-3 times each time just to get a drink. Sometimes I wondered… isn’t the owner hired the staffs to serve customers drinks or just standing there watching people play the pokies?? Please train your staff

I took my staff to eat at The Kitchen last Sunday as usual it was late. There weren't many customers around, placed an order for food for 8 of us everything seems fine. When we sat down, we waited for the food. A young bar boy approached us and asked for ID. He told us he is a bar manager. Our oldest one in the group can be his father?? Our youngest one is 30, still way older than him. He checked the ID and the frustration point, and he studied the licence for a good 3 minutes plus. OMG, is there a scratchie game on the licence? Can he read English? or can he do math to work out the age? We didn't order a drop of alcohol. Honestly, I have my RSA at my current business, and I know how's it works on the legal side. I heard a fair bit in our community about Cabramatta Hotel, the yummy food, and 'the kicked out action' I didn't fully believe until that day when it was actually happening in front of me. Do they really care for the customers or just tried to show they are 'big manager' and play the 'power game' instead. I wondered how's the big hotel like this can employ a bar manager with this altitude? Good luck if they have any customers left to come to eat in the future. We like your food but we won't come back.

I WOULD GIVE A NEGATIVE STAR IF I COULD! Today, I went to play pokies at Cabramatta Hotel for the first time. After playing for about 10 minutes, I was asked to leave and stop playing because I had a shopping trolley with me. I tried to negotiate with the gaming attendant (wearing glasses), asking if I could leave my trolley somewhere if the hotel provided a place, so I could continue playing and possibly win my money back. She curtly refused, citing hotel policy, and did not give me any explanation or solutions. I felt like discrimination. I have never had this experience before in any gaming rooms, so I sought clarification from the manager. I eventually spoke with the manager, who revealed that he is Kevin, the licensee of the hotel. When I asked him for an explanation, he responded with questions to me if I wanted him to answer. He was asking what would happen if 10,000 trolleys in the cabramatta were in the gaming area. This was ridiculous and made me feel stupid. I pointed out that there are only 30 gaming machines, so at most, there would be one trolley per machine if everyone brought one. I asked for a solution to hide the trolley good or place to leave, but he responded roughly and carelessly, telling me to just go play somewhere else, not here or at Cabramatta. I understand and respect hotel policies, but I expect a respectful explanation. The staff, especially the licensee, should treat customers with respect. I felt like I was being expelled from the area, which ruined my day. I hope the hotel management will consider providing notice at the door to prevent this kind of situation, rather than kicking out customers after they have already spent money. Thank you.

I came here to have a dinner on weekend with my friend, we ordered and paid for food in the kitchen bar, then we started to ate. Everything happend was normal like so manytime i came here before until when we went to the bar and ordered ONE GLASS OF COKE. The male manager asked for my ID (i'm 30) i showed him, but that not finish, then he came to my table and asked my friend ID, she showed him that she have a ID in service NSW app (she is 24), she didn't bring physical ID. He didn't even look the ID on her service NSW app and he said we are not allow to eat here, we must leave the restaurant right now. I was really angry, we were eating and we just bought a coke, we didn't get any alcohol, why he treated me and my friend like this?. I meant IF YOU ARE NOT ALLOW ANYONE WITHOUT ID, YOU MUST CHECK THE ID AT THE DOOR, OR AT LEAST AT THE KITCHEN BAR, WHEN WE ORDER THE FOOD. WHY YOU CHECK THE ID WHILE WE ARE EATING????? What a stupid service. NEVER COME BACK. This place doesn't even deserve 1 star!!!!

Food tasted like our hometown. We came for lunch at the weekend and got kicked out because I looked under 25 and didn't bring my passport with me. Male manger didn't listen and asked to leave. A long-time customer here, love the food. Ordered the food sitting down to eat with my girlfriends she is 24, doesn't bring ID. I'm 28, and I got my ID. They are so bad. The unfriendly male bar manager asked us for ID and kicked us out even at lunchtime, and we did not drink alcohol. Luckily I have refund from The Kitchen. I ask everyone I the community to STAY AWAY from this unfriendly place at Cabramatta Hotel. Love the food, I'm going to take it away next time and won't spend a cent in this hotel.

We having a birthday dinner here with all my friends. We don’t gambling or take any alcohol and they want to check us ID. I ordered an alcoholic drink no ID was requested but when my cousins who is also the same age asked for a drink they refused to service her even though they wanted non Alcoholic drinks. I spoke to the Manger Lily who was absolutely rude to us. 30min after she comes and kicks us because “we were tormenting her” but we’re just sitting down enjoying our meal. The kitchen staff were amazing and the food was lovely But the bar staff especially lily is such a horrible manager.

LILY the Asian lady at the bar is ABSOLUTELY RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL as a manager. Me and my 2 friends went to the restaurant to order food as it has been recommended to us. The food at the kitchen and service was good and all workers were respectful. One of friends went up to the bar to order an Alcoholic drink and all was good no ID was asked , then me and other friend went to order a NoN Alcohol drink and we was asked for IDs, we both provide Service NSW license on our phone and was refused service as we don’t have a physical one, as it was a license area. But there were kids who were there. Lily who said she was the manager came to where we were eating and explain how we look underage and in the first place shouldn’t have been served food and we need to leave. I asked her why did she pick and choose who to ask for license and my other friend was asked. The staff at the kitchen told her that we have already paid and they can’t ask us to leave until we are finished. My friend who was not asked for ID went and other me and the other friend a non alcoholic drink and was served by a new staff and all was good no ID was checked and we received our drink. She then see’s us drinking and enjoying our food and comes back with the security because we apparently were tormenting her by eating and asked us to leave. She didn’t allow us to eat our food that we paid the kitchen to provide to us. She called us names and rubbed in our face that she was the manager and she can do anything she wants. She assumed our ages even with ID I would recommend the kitchen but the Bar with LILY is most unprofessional and untrained workers. Lily needs to be fired and learn some customer service. BEWARE OF LILY she will ruin your night

Me and my friends came to eat in here, we bought foods, and came to ordered non-alcoholic drink and the girl named “Lily”who says she is the manager and the Arab guy at fat bars wanted to check our ID, and i didn’t had a physical card but i had a photo ID card in my phone. He said we weren't allowed to eat or drink here, because I looked under 18 years old. I said even if I am under 18 years old, why should other tables around us with children and teenagers be allowed to eat and drink? As for me, even if I'm under 18 years old, why I can't? I felt it was unfair. And We just came to enjoy food, no beer no alcohol, we never thought it would be so terrible and disappointing and they started getting rude to us and being aggressive towards us and then we were kicked out. We, our family and friends have been here many times, but nothing like this has ever happened. The food was nice but I believe i wont be bringing no-one here or suggest anyone to come here.

Excellent good and good service

Good pub, pleasant staff. Service a bit slow at times. I recommend it for it food and atmosphere.

Look the price is little expensive but the manager was really great. We just needed fried ice-cream and dining was so busy, he made space for us.

Service - Anthony and his team provided the best service we have had in a long time, we were treated like we had known them for years and it was our first time! Food - Absolutely delicious, could not fault any dish we had. We went Sat 11.05.24 for my son's pre 21st dinner and we will be back, we have not stopped raving about the service and food, honestly can say that it was the best in years and we eat out a lot. BTW - make sure, if you go you try the Melon Bingsu dessert, it was absolutely amazing!

This spot is perfect for grabbing regular drinks and relaxing at the bar. It's usually quiet when we come in after dinner, with plenty of seating options to choose from. The service from the bartender and security guard is reliable, and the staff are friendly overall. 👍

Not good half an hour wait to get food took forever , you need to tell customers if it is going to take this long, mains came out at different times and I felt like customers whom ordered after me got there food before me. Do better.

First time inside the Cabra pub. I was impressed at the friendliness and helpfulness of all the bar and restaurant staff. I’m not a gambler so didn’t have a look inside the pokies room but it’s discreetly out of sight. Reasonable range of beers including a couple of craft beers of the pale ale and dark variety. Very reasonable prices for schooners I thought, especially given many other pubs in Sydney now charge over $11 a schooner. Lots of local families enjoying lunch or an early dinner in the dining area, and I love how they’ve got a carpeted front sports bar to cater to those who like the old style pub, while out the back there’s more RSL style tables and chairs and a separate natural light-filled smokers’ area which is a nice spot to sit and drink provided there aren’t any people smoking nearby at the time. We’ll be back.

Great place to take your family to eat at the bistro, beautiful food and environment, great pub aswell.

A patron looked in bad shape and started throwing up in the dining area(she was alone). Bar staff just stood by and watched as this patron kept throwing up and could barely stand up. We advised the bar staff and security of the situation but they took their time to help the patron or clean up the area. Bar staff and security need to understand once they have allowed a person onto their premises they have a duty of care. Very unprofessional establishment, won't be coming back here again.

I used to come here often, the food here was nice. But today I went to the restaurant. The staff of bars wanted to check my ID, but I only had a photo and my friend had a physical card, but they still didn't agree. When I came here before, there was no such law. We only came to enjoy the food and did not buy drinks at the bar. We did not drink beer or wine. Terrible day!
