We won 3 plushies (1 large, 1 medium and 1 small) and played a few dance games for just $60 a few nights ago. Yes, the claws are rigged, are they are at every arcade. If you have skill, gain some experience, in time, you will get used to winning these sorts of games. This place also has lots of old school dance machines and a fish game (which is still popular after decades, and I mean decades). You come to a place like this for old world charm or nostalgia. If you’re just after sensory overload and people packed to the rafters, go elsewhere.

Great place. Most machines are only 1$ dollar to play :) very kind and helpful owner. Wish I lived closer.

I won two small/medium sized plushies after spending $45 , I can confirm that there is a payout rate and it’s hard to get prizes from machines that don’t get played much. Overall it’s not bad and the plushie selection is nice. I like the Japanese photo booths and arcade machines👍

Been coming here once every fortnight for the past half year. Everytime i come I only load 50 to 100 and I always leave with at least 2 plushies. It's so funny looking at the reviews that there's so many sour grapes. I can't fathom how can u spend 100 to 150 dollars And leave empty handed . Hahaha

Not the same toy as the one in the box and generally not clear with what you're getting. It'll be false advertising in this case and customers should always get toys same as the box.

You come in with nothing but hopes and dreams, You leave with nothing. Used to work in arcades, can attest the payouts are not legal here or they misreport prices spent. Spend $120+ and leave with nothing, but leaves a lesson to be learned - buy the stuff yourself

(Recent) I spent over $150 for this Pink Frog and still did not get it. Staff or manager please respond here for explanation. I am a regular customer. Please check your machine for evidence. For your info, buy those prizes online from Japan, that will save you at least half of the price by playing all prize games in this store. The owner is very greedy. Making more than double the profit. Rubbish acrade, the machine with PS5 is a big scam. Will be reporting to gambling and related authorities. Prize value > money inserted is illegal.

if you just have a bunch of coins to play IIDX, Sound Voltex, Taiko or MT3DX+ then yeah idk decent place to play at. Otherwise majority of the minigames there are rigged.

Went here again after going last year around the same time, ( im on holiday again yay 🥳) my opinion hasnt changed claw machines rigged, when something grabs it releases right before it can get to the prize shoot or doesnt even grab at all, honestly gambling would be a better option at this point. I spent $40 and got NOTHING 😔 Go in happy come out sad pretty much what happens 🤷‍♀️ nonetheless go spend your money someplace else ‼️ literally saw one of the prizes for sale at mumulife for less than $20

Look at all the paid reviews lol, what a joke. I have been coming here since 2014 since I was in high school since it was the only place with purikura machines and Japanese arcade machines in Sydney and has such a cute aesthetic, but every single time I have been here I have felt uncomfortable and unwelcome, because the owner has some really uncomfortable, weird, and hostile antics. With the influx of other venues and the consistent issues with his antics, I think I've finally had enough. First, he just *stares* at you while you're there at the arcade. He saunters around slowly with his hands behind his back and his head dipped, staring at his customers in this incredibly creepy, stalkerish, manner. Do you know how this feels when you're a group of 3 girls? Or even worse, if you're *alone*? It feels insanely predatory. His expression makes me feel actively ill when I make eye contact. And given the cutesy aesthetic, a huge amount of women and young girls come to this arcade.. The worst part is, since he makes his staff do all the work, he just looks like a random, and you won't realise it is the *owner* engaging in this behaviour unless you already know it's him. Then he has a huge issue with you being there if you're not lining his pockets 100% of the time. It's fine to ask people not to loiter, but in the past I've spoken to staff while waiting for friends to arrive and he has made it clear I was unwanted and given them a hard time for talking to me (as if they're not already paid and treated poorly enough). Surely you can be a bit more flexible and let your staff be welcoming to your guests - these are the people who will shortly be lining your pockets after all. Additionally, I have no idea why, but he can not STAND photos. Of any kind. Oh you want a cutesy video of you playing the claw machine for your tiktok or instagram? You know, the thing that SO many young girls who will be attracted to your cute pastel arcade will want? No. Leave. Additionally there is no clear or consistent policy about this, and because he's a coward, he gets his staff, who also know there is no consistent policy, to talk to you. They will tell you not to do things, but they can't clearly point you to a policy or a site, nor give you a clear rule. I've been told once not to use a camera, but that it was fine to use my phone and wouldn't be bothered if I did, but then when I switched I got in trouble for using my phone. My friends, too, have been told off for trying to take videos on their phones of them playing at the arcade.. Like they are actively making you money and you can't stand a 10 second video for the sake of being cute? And the thing is, there is no consistency to this either?? He gets mad at some of my friends, but others consistently post videos from within the arcade.. Did they just get lucky and hide from him, or is something more sinister going on? If you're going to insist on a no photography policy, make it clear, and get your staff to point it out/show it in writing rather than bumbling around with no clear policy. Though you really should be more relaxed about this, given the type of customer such a cutesy arcade attracts. Did you consider your clientele at all when creating this place? Just consider your customers for two seconds. Their comfort and happiness matters. People will stay longer and come back more if you stop being so incredibly hostile or just behaving uncomfortably towards such a huge percentage of your customer base.

Went in during Thursday saw the Kirby plush they had so I got money to play it, but there was a guy who already won a plush from a different machine and started playing on it. So I waited behind him to play, but after he used it 30 times and didn’t win, he ran out of money he just got the worker in the white shirt to fix up the plush and stand in front of the game to stop anyone from playing so he could get more money to play, he came back and played 30 more times and didn’t win and just got the worker to come back to fix up the machine and stand in front of it while he went to get more money to play. You can’t swap the plush from the machine if you win but if you’re friends with the workers you can get them to stop others from playing on the machine you want to play, this is the first time I’ve seen this happen at an arcade.

BEST arcade in Sydney! Nearly all the games are only $1 a play and always walk away with amazing prizes. The team are super helpful and there is a HUGE selection of machines - love watching Ark at the arcade

It was pretty good I got 2 medium sized plushies and spent 34 dollars, some machines were totally rigged if I didn’t spend a lot on the rigged ones and trying to grab a massive plushie that’s not really possible I would’ve only spent 12 dollars

If I could give ZERO stars I would. The guy was just plain rude and a bully to a little kid. My son and his friend went to play at a claw machine, pressed the button (as any normal person would do) and nothing happened. So he thought the machine was broken. When the guy came over, he asked our son’s friend to put money in (again), told him he used it wrong and then blamed him for it. Bro… 1. Why don’t you just explain it instead of forcing a kid to insert more money? Then use your magic key to give him another go? 2. You made a little kid throw his money away and then say it was his fault? You’re a greedy, despicable old bully.

I can't tell much about the prize machines, I don't play them much. But for the action games, there are machines nearly impossible to be found elsewhere in Sydney. Wangan 3DX+, Beatmania IIDX, Sound Voltex (about 4 cabinets), and even a Taiwanese version of Taiko. The prize machines are also rather high risk for high rewards, with anime figures that aren't only just Pop Vinyl. well worth a visit if you are into rhythm games.

Only thing this place is good for are their purikura machines and selection of rhythm games. Do not come here if you want to play claw machines.

Great arcade. I win my share. If you know how to play, you will have a great time. Like all arcade machines there are payouts, but just be smart. Know what to look for. Pretty sure the people saying go to Koko etc own koko or something. Purikura is great and I always win. Sometimes little wins, sometimes nice chunky ones.

tried to like this place many times but sadly can't recommend it the payouts on all of the machines are not even legal by gaming they are basically pokies with a claw u go there with any amount and u always walk out with nothing in return i recommend u save your money and goto koko its not that far from photoland and u will win alot more

Purikura is probably the best arcade for claw machines in Sydney. They always have a great selection of prizes, and the win rate is comparatively high. I enjoy coming here, and have been coming for years. They had a separate listing on Google Maps previously, so I’m not sure why that one has disappeared.
