Loved the hotel, cleanliness, location and value with parking. Service was exceptional. Walking distance to many travel options.
Stayed here for the weekend to see Luke Combs and was absolutely amazed at home gorgeous the room was. It was cozy but modern and the bathroom was beautiful. Pool was beautiful as well. Only things that were a bit of a let down were the view out of our room just looked onto a neighbouring building and there was what looked to be a blood stain on the carpet. Overall, this place was amazing! The staff were lovely and extremely helpful. The location is amazing too, you’re nearly multiple train stations, shops and cafes so if you need anything you don’t need to go far. I would highly recommend staying here to treat yourself like my partner and I did!
A good hotel and location for North Sydney. A few bits of gym equipment were out of order all week which was a shame, but the rooms were good and the hotel was quiet.
Room 1036, worst room ever. Directly outside the window neighbouring building air-condition vents. Fan ran continuously all night. Asked for a room transfer was told they were fully occupied. Manager said it should stop around 10:30. It didn't. Said he would try and get me a new room for the next night. He didn't. No sleep. Don't risk getting this room!!! Front desk didn't even ask how was my stay, obviously pre warned. Very disappointing.
Wow, what a ridiculous difficult experience living in this pathetic hotel and to top it - a horrible manager. Must avoid!
Tricky to get into for parking, but a nice place to stay
Good place to stay. Convenient location
I had the misfortune of staying at Vibe Hotel North Sydney from December 29th to January 1st, and it was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever endured. I am compelled to share my frustrations to ensure future guests do not face the same issues. I was with my parents who were visiting first time from India. We arrived at the hotel at 11 PM with elderly parents, only to be informed by your front desk staff that our reservation was canceled. This was impossible, as my agent had confirmed the booking. After contacting my agent, I provided the reservation, which the team reinstated, finally checking us in at 12:30 AM. While I appreciate the assistance of the front desk staff, the ordeal of resolving this at such a late hour was completely avoidable. The next day, things took a turn for the worse when Sasha, the manager, claimed the reservation was unpaid, despite clear evidence that it was. Instead of resolving the issue promptly, she decided to put a temporary hold on my card, delaying my tour plans. This was highly unprofessional and unnecessary, as proper training should have enabled her to locate the reservation efficiently. Even after the reservation was “resolved”, I was left in limbo about the hold on my funds. Despite repeated assurances that my money would be released immediately, I spent an entire day trying to get this sorted, which it did, but I met only with delays and excuses from another front desk person during the evening. Importantly, when I returned to the hotel that evening, I discovered my room access card had been blocked, despite paying twice. This was utterly humiliating and unacceptable. On New Year’s Eve, I spoke with Sasha again, only to hear that refunding my funds was still on her “to-do list.” It’s baffling how quick the hotel was to take my money but so slow to return it. Her attitude came across as dismissive and discriminatory. She finally claimed to have processed the refund in the afternoon, but the funds did not reflect until January 8th, severely impacting my ability to enjoy rest of my trip. To add insult to injury, when I followed up at the front desk, another staff member misunderstood the issue and charged and refunded my card yet again instead of resolving the preauthorization. This resulted in an additional USD 5 charge, which I still haven’t received back. This experience was not just frustrating but downright appalling. The incompetence of your staff, particularly Sasha, demonstrated a lack of training, professionalism, and respect for guests. Blocking my access card and mishandling my reservation felt discriminatory, and the repeated delays caused undue stress during what should have been a relaxing holiday. What Needs to Be Addressed: Proper Training: Your staff, especially Sasha, needs extensive training in handling reservations, resolving payment disputes, and prioritizing guest concerns promptly. Accountability: Managers must be empowered to make decisions efficiently without putting guests in a constant state of uncertainty. Respect and Professionalism: Blocking a guest’s access card despite double payment is unacceptable and shows a lack of respect for your customers. Refund Policies: Ensure refunds and pre-authorizations are processed swiftly and transparently, as promised, to avoid further inconveniences. I will never return to Vibe Hotel North Sydney, nor will I recommend it to anyone. This experience has left a lasting negative impression. I hope you take this feedback seriously to prevent other guests from enduring similar treatment.
Las canillas de los lavados están flojas y el estacionamiento bloqueado el resto satisfactorio
I was disappointed that the carpets were dirty, the duvet cover had big stains and when room service would come they wouldn’t clear away plates/cutlery. On the plus side the bathroom was beautifully kept and when room service did come they insured that we had fresh towels each day. It was okay, but I wouldn’t go back again
Staff- please check room 1022. Blood stains on carpet in front of bathroom and food stains in front of fridge. Very unappealing. Got two single beds pushed together, couldn’t sleep all night. Sheets had little hairs on them. I did not get a restful night here. Bathroom light is quite dark, so may not be the perfect hotel for work or events. I think this hotel has potential but is lacking high cleaning standards. I overheard other guests who requested the bathroom floor to be cleaned as it was dirty upon Check in. If you are not fussed about cleaning or lighting; this hotel can still work for you. I won’t be staying again though. On the positive note, the rooms had a stacked mini bar which you do not often find anymore.
Our stay was disrupted by the sounds of a jack hammer resounding through the property. It was so loud and continuous that we decided at 10:30pm to leave as the desk clerk was totally Inefficacious in resolving the situation with every course of action requiring him to call the Duty Manager but he never did. Having called reception and dealing with the desk clerk a couple of times prior to leaving, we were not offered an alternate room or any other compensation and given his lack of sympathy and inability to address the situation or call the duty manager we opted to leave so that we could get some sleep. It's one thing to have a problem that you claim is not your responsibility but it is something entirely different when you make no effective effort to address the situation to improve your guest's experience.
Unfortunately we had a horrible experience with cleanliness. Our bedding was grossly stained, it was beyond belief. We were traumatized. I took a lot of pictures and plan to send them to the hotel manager. Front desk staff member apologized and later in the day arranged for new bedding, but doesn't erase the disgusting memory. Also we had one day of our stay where the housekeeping member did only about 60% of the job. Not sure why they left it unfinished.
The room we were given initially (#1034?) was completely unsatisfactory for the cost, more like a $200/night room. The room we were moved to, #1204 should be ~$300/night, had a satisfactory outlook except for the glaring light from a sign board across the highway which the hotel should approach the Sydney City Council to have the owners fit an appropriate shade as it constitutes 'light pollution' in the building. Overall the amount charged for the room was exorbitant and to charge $800 for the last night of our stay was a heist. We have stayed in Vibe hotels in Melbourne, Darwin and hotels under the same ownership in Perth and Cairns but on the basis of the above it is more than likely we will never again...no restaurant, no room service, no breakfast, no bar, no movies and pool on the roof of the building next door...how much?
Stayed at the Vibe North Sydney when visiting the city for theatre and sightseeing. Positioned between the rail and metro stations, transport to and from the city is easy. It has a modern updated look but without views the price is reasonable. Food choices are abundant - although North Sydney is much quieter on non-business days but still plenty of great options.
This is my second stay this month. Three nights at the beginning of December and five nights over Christmas. The experience on each stay was underwhelming. The check in on the first occasion was poor with only one check in agent and a queue of people. |My Christmas visit saw the air conditioning not working in the room. I rang Nev at reception and he said he would speak to the duty manager. He didn’t pass the message on. I then went to reception and spoke to the duty manager Claire who explained the temp in the room was measuring 27 degrees. As such, I had to move rooms. The cleaning of the room is haphazard, and rarely completed before late afternoon as rooms being checked out are prioritised, indicating a lack of staff. Maintenance is clearly an issue with stained carpets and common areas are tired. I rang for a coffee cup this morning and it didn’t arrive so I had to ring again. A knock on the door presented coffee capsules rather than a cup. If this is the sort of ‘Vibe’ they wish to promote, the hotel is well named. Never again. This is my normal hotel to stay as it is well priced and convenient to north Sydney shops and transport, but the service and quality of hotel is 3 star.
Pretty good hotel near Victoria Cross metro in North Sydney
很乾淨!又方便 酒店後門出來就是地鐵站 搭兩站就到Martin廣場 !很讚!👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
easy place to stay
We stayed for 1 night and were given a room with no hot water for the shower. And were later told, after having nice cold showers on a rainy day, by another person at the reception that this was a known issue and we were given the room despite them knowing this issue and weren’t even given a heads up. That’s not something i expect from even a halfway decent place and has never happened before. Disappointing to say the least.
I stayed here many years ago and it's definitely changed. We had to do laps to try and find a spot on the street as there's no drive in section to park quickly and check in and then go to the parking so that was annoying. The parking was also confusing to get to and tight. No buffet or bar but they advertised some places right next door which allow charge back to the hotel, we went to go to one of them which is a rooftop bar and was advertised on the tv in the hotel but unfortunately after we finally found it they were closed for a private function with nothing stated in the hotel about it and nothing stated at the ground floor for the rooftop bar ( they had their own lifts). The room ran really hot as when you put the aircon down to say 22 it automatically after a while put itself back up to 26. It wasn't a comfortable sleep at all. The bathroom was fairly clean but there was a lot of mold in the shower plus there needs to be extra lights in the bathroom as it was so dark. The water pressure was also horrible. Bed was comfortable and getting late check out included was really good!
Good
The room was cozy and private. The staff were very helpful.
Always a great stay here, drive or fly in Close to trains and in a great central location
Fantastic room with great service. Not much of a view from our window but interesting.
Went to Vibe North Sydney for work function over 3 days. Meeting rooms were excellent, food provided was very nice. Rooms clean and comfortable and very modern.
Arrived late in weekend and asked staff for electrical convertor to charge my phone as there is no purchase options but staff declined. After leaving, I received invoice by email for some items I did not consume. Location is nice but staff and services are questionable.
The room was large and quiet but the was poorly lighted and so dark I couldn't shave in the morning.
Vibe motel is modern, clean, comfortable and convenient. The staff were friendly, helpful and professional. I really enjoyed my stay and would recommend this motel.
Reception services can be improved, particularly when onboarding.
Awesome service, professional staff and perfect location. Exceptionally clean and quiet. Exactly same as we saw in the photos in Booking.com or even better. Definitely will come back again. Thanks everyone. Keep up your amazing work.
We're staying here this weekend. Our room is spacious, well laid out and equal to some Asian high end hotels. However there's one reason we won't be back. Our room is unbearably hot. We've turned the aircon to 19 degrees C but its not that cool. The TV on free to air keeps on cutting out. The Chromecast function on the TV is an excercise in frustration. Worked yesterday but not today. The mixer tap in the vathroom is loose and one power point in the coffee area will not accept a plug. Checking out today.
Nice room, but bathroom could be cleaner. Also coffee cups don't match, and that really bothers me! Have a pod coffee machine, but need to use water from mini bar, so not really free.
Heritage listed
If looking to stay in North Sydney, I can highly suggest this hotel, where the decor is contemporary & well designed, staff are friendly & very helpful, offering great value for money. This is my go to for future stays.
Pretty expensive for one night without hot water. Told them on check out and got told thanks for letting us know. Bad service if you ask me many other places to choose over this one.
Location is good, but service is very basic, rooms and bathrooms are not cleaned thoroughly, you can see and feel the dust in every corner of the room. Also, we waited in a long queue waiting to check in, with only one staff member at the reception desk.
The view we had from our room is of aircon vents and concrete, the bedding doesn’t have an actual doona cover it’s just two top sheets with the duvet in-between which is apparently Industry standard for this hotel. Also they have one option for room service, and it’s Indian, no breakfast options or anything else! Other than that, the room is nice, really big shower, and big room, clean and comfy. Good location too, and has a pool which is always a bonus but it is an outdoor pool!! Cold
One of the worst check in experiences i’ve ever had. I travel day in day in out, stayed at some of the best hotels in the world crown hotel for instance and the W. When I checked into North Sydney vibe I was harshly greeted by a boy that I couldn’t understand at the check in process. We were told that we couldn’t check in as we needed a physical credit card, even though we had checked into the same hotel just days before without one. This process was not handled well and then we were told off in front of other hotel goers that we will not be welcome back at the hotel ever. Just appalling wouldn’t recommend if you’re wanting a nice time.
The size of the room and location was good. There are plenty of shops around the area and close to transport. The only negative thing was not much shower pressure.
Good location, friendly staff.
Excellent hotel. Modern rooms and friendly staff. Close to Victoria Cross train station so easy to get around Sydney from here. Room was very nice, had good wifi and a lovely bathroom. The staff helped us with anything we asked and the foyer and elevators are lovely and well designed. The next time am in Sydney I will stay at this hotel it is great.
Always a great vibe, at the Vibe !
Chic city hotel that's bigger than expected. Location is decent, with many F&B options around the hotel. Amenities are pretty decent, the fridge is huge but no complementary drinks found. Room is nicely decorated with a big toilet (no bath tub). I think it's a decent hotel in town, minus the fact that they do not provide complementary water and expect people to use the sad Australian socket - why would travellers have the adaptor, most international hotel are providing sockets where plugs from different countries are compatible. Good thing that's usb open but that probably means slow charging.
This hotel is certainly rated no more than as above The rooms were not cleaned properly did not even give us clean glasses The towels were not given. As far as the lift is concerned the alarm does not work as I found when the lift stopped working. As you can imagine being clostaphobic made it a very distressing. The lift cards had to be replaced 3 times. The staff seemed to be inexperienced as they did not know how to direct us to different places could not manage to understand our needs.
The room is spacious and so clean 👌🏻
The hotel did not meet expectations. We checked into our room on lvl 11 and it had many problems. To list a few of the obvious, the tv was broken in the corner, the light switch was also cracked off, one of the lights didn’t work and the cups supplied were absolutely filthy. We had paid well over $200 for this room so we went to talk to reception. Check in is at 3pm and you must leave by 11am or be charged a late fee. You don’t get a full 24hrs in your room and there is no ventilation/ fan in the bathroom. The water pressure in the shower was barely enough to wash the soap off my body and all of the toiletries like body wash, shampoo and conditioner were caged in by brackets. The lighting in the toilet was so dark I ended up doing my skincare and makeup in the mirror outside the room. The aircon doesn’t work and my husband had to fix and reconnect our tvs cables as it had obviously been knocked by staff who didn’t care to check it. In the beginning the staff were very unfriendly and not hospitable at all, they became significantly more patient and friendly after we complained. For example, they were quick to upgrade our room and we were given a free bottle of wine and our parking fee was waved. It’s evident they don’t care much about customer service until they get a complaint or disgruntled customer then they change up. If you don’t want a lousy review, don’t host a lousy hotel. OVERALL: If you’re rich just stay at a better hotel you can afford it. If you’re broke just stay at a cheaper hotel/ motel for $100 to $150 bc paying the extra isn’t even worth it in my opinion. The only redeeming factor was that we were upgraded but the original room we were in was pretty horrible. So if you’re deciding if the extra $$ is worth it, the answer is no. Just get the cheaper room at a different place. I hope this review can help people in their future endeavours!
Room and location is great, internet not able to connect to the TV 👎🏼 tried calling through for IT support, but no use..
Stuff very rude and room are dirty my family room is no heater
Lovely theme. Not much to do around there. But a short walk to the train into cbd
Thank you for your very kind service
For $250-$300 per night, this hotel is terrible, lacking basic amenities like complimentary water, slippers, and a bathrobe. The heating is faulty, making the room cold at night, and the A/C blows cold air even when off. The bathroom fan doesn’t work, leaving a mouldy smell. Despite my complaints, the heater wasn’t fixed, and they couldn’t provide an extra blanket. The carpet was dirty, with potato chips stuck in it that weren’t cleaned up when I checked in and during my stay. Although it's conveniently located near my work venue, I’m very disappointed with my stay and wouldn’t return.
Recently stayed at Vibe North Sydney with my partner on my birthday. They gave us a complimentary room upgrade and also placed some birthday decor and treats (chocolate almonds and bottle of white wine) in the room which was a nice surprise.
Spent a week for business. Good location, very comfortable bedroom, friendly staff, access to the gym.
I have visited on a business trip in June 2024. The location is great but without a view from the room. The rooms are very expensive however I choose due to my client office was next door. I was in a deluxe room with desk. Compared to my experience in other hotels, I was expecting basic stuffs like slippers, diary & pen, toothbrush and pest which were missing in my room. Bed and pillows were very comfortable. Bathroom was cleaned but wash basin was small. The exhaust was not working it seems. Inside room was quite and I was not getting outside noise which was great especially at night.
Great service, clean rooms, but no breakfast option available and toothbrush and other toiletries are not automatically available you need to request it and it them 45mins to deliver it
Neat and tidy rooms, no meals options but close to transport and food.
Disappointed. We must have got a bad room because the window we had was very small and nothing like the photos. The view was just the building's AC unit. The main issue we had though was when we checked in the room was freezing even though it had been set to 22 degrees. We set the thermostat to auto 19 degrees and went to bed. We all woke up at 3am absolutely drenched in sweat because somehow the heat had run non-stop and the room was 26 degrees, despite us setting it to 19. Even after trying to cool it off the heat would not quit running. We had to eventually just turn the thermostat off completely. We have a 3 month old baby and overheating is very dangerous at his age. Bed was too firm too. The reason it’s not 1 star is I did like their bathrooms. It had a modern appearance and the shower was nice. The staff was pleasant and ended up waiving the parking fee after we explained the heat issue. Had high expectations for this place but the price just wasn't worth it for us.
Still awaiting a response via email from a month ago to resolve the issue that occurred during our stay. They can reply to a review but not their emails? Lol disappointing as disappointing gets
Very good hotel! Walkable distance to a ferry or train. Easy to walk to the Sydney city via Harbour Bridge with great views.
Amazing place. Have been here before and everytime it is a treasure to be here
This hotel is in 5 Mins walking distance to the North Sydney station rooms are good and clean they don't directly serve breakfast but can be availed in nearby cafes
Amazing! The room is only surpassed by the staff. The reception staff are not just very responsive but are also proactively helpful. Cannot fault this hotel.
Nice location, reasonable services.. room was decent… good if you have a business trip in North Sydney area
Great hotel - luxe, comfy rooms with everything you need. Safe and convenient location. And great service, shout out to Neville on the front desk who provided excellent customer service and went above and beyond to provide helpful information about nearby public transport etc. Will be back!
乾淨又舒服的床,交通方便
Mooi luxe hotel op een fijne locatie. Prettig en behulpzaam personeel. In natuurlijk een prachtig mooie stad
Another quick romanic getaway. The rooms or suites are all fabulous. We had the suite this time round with a big bath. Our room faced the corner he was definitely trying to impress me with this surprise. I felt like l was walking in a maze. At the end of the path was the bedroom. We'll be back, Vibe.
