I had 23 guest for my grand daughter’s birthday party, food was excellent. Lilly, the lady attend us was outstanding, efficient, engaging and helped everyone through the process of ordering, delivering and cleaning up. Her approach was well beyond her years and should be applauded.

Fantastic views and great atmosphere. Only shortcoming was slow service after ordering via QR Code.

I wanted to share what a wonderful experience we had at the Esplanade Hotel Brighton a couple of Sundays back. The service and food were excellent and great value. The waiter (I believe his name was Coby) was friendly and helpful. We will be returning and I will be telling others about our experience. Thank you team!

Significant recent improvements, but the wine list is still woefull. Only two rose wines, one of which, the barossa , is far too sweet. Like the dog friendly outside areas, though.

Was thoroughly impressed with our recent dining experience at Espy Bistro, Esplanade Hotel, Brighton. Our server, Lily, was wonderfully helpful and accommodating. She understood our special health requests and worked with the chef to provide top class service. The food was fantastic, we couldn't be happier.

My mates and I always enjoy going to the Sports Bar for the schnitty and beer deal and certainly appreciate the great service and friendliness by Zac....we keep coming back!

We went to the esplanade today for my partners birthday .We were very disappointed with our meals horrible calamari .Tiny bits of calamari not big round rings as they should be my partner had a club sandwich which was tastless the beer was warm and the the waitresses took so long to clean the tables we had to clean our own when we arrived won't be back in a hurry

Came on Sunday for a drink at the pub, wow what a comedy of service staff. Food sent out without cutlery, drinks served 1 at a time to a table. Online orders ignored by bar staff. Most of the staff were trying but clearly did not have the training they were needed. The sales/cash register is not were you order but behind you so it's very confusing. Also visited the pokies, had to leave early the seats were too high and hard to get on too, as well as rock hard and cracked, very uncomfortable.

Sorry guys the food was below average, staff not hospitable, filthy toilets and carpets.....take a look at your potential!!

Lily made me feel happy to be there , as I was hungry and the room wasn't serving she still made it happen , hats of to lily the flower maker . I had a steak and it was cooked to perfectionism. What a night 🌙

This was my second time having breakfast at the Brighton Esplanade hotel. Last time was so good that I decided to come back. I ordered scrambled eggs on toast. The toast was great, but the eggs were reconstituted eggs, which resembled rubber. I was hungry and so ate most of it, but in the end didn’t eat them all. I told the waitress I was disappointed that my eggs were reconstituted and not fresh, and she said she would tell the chef. My coffee was great. I’m not sure I will come back again. I know other places that have great scrambled eggs.

We recently had dinner at the Esplanade as a family of 6 in the bistro. The view of the beach and sunset from the windows was great (although beware the glare depending what direction you’re facing). The staff were fine. Nice enough but order at the bar so minimal service as is common for that type of club bistro in Australia. The food was fine. Portions were large which is what the price tag reflected, not necessarily a reflection of the quality. Did take almost an hour to get food and the place was only half full. Then felt like we were being rushed out as we finished our meals.

Was quite disappointed not to be able to get the topping of my choice on a seniors schnitzel. Only gravy allowed on seniors. How stupid. Also staff were quite abrupt with elderly patrons. Lesley Chapman

Worst customer services I have ever seen in my life Coffee order took 35 minutes, and I asked them twice for my coffee, and every time they mentioned next in the queue And the coffee was so bad taste and the foam was not good and rough people

Nice clean room old but my style air conditioner was on fridge was on bed very comfortable only downfall maybe stairs didn't bother me but would be no good for some

What a shower ! Absolutely loved it ! After the reno i hope the showers are the same ! Staff always friendly. Havent had a meal yet but have smelt them as i come in, i get in too late to order. Will have to try and be early 1 time ! Good location can see the beach from the window !

I just wanted to give Sebastian a 5 star review for being so accommodating and helping my client with her belongings down the flight of stairs today. He was so obliging and happy to help. He did it with a smile on his face and didn't hesitate to go that extra mile. A valued staff member! Look after him! Thanks again matey!

The food was not like the photo but it was tasty.

Are the people who make the coffee trained as batista. If not they need to be. They do not seem to understand that a flat white is NOT equivalent to a cappuccino. A flat white should only have 2mm of froth at the most. Disappointing because the food was good.

So close to the beach! Air conditioning works amazing and a very good price for one nights stay.

Popped in to this hotel Friday 24/1/25 had 2 drinks and as chair in cafe was very wonky decided to move into lower dining room and brave tea. Worst idea ever. I had lamb shaslicks. The meat smelt on the turn but I persevered but could not eat anymore. Also there was a small dish with a white milky substance to dip lamb in. Consistency of milk?? Awful! The table was sticky, our arms stuck to the table. I had to move large piece of food on floor under the leg of my chair. I have been in the hospitality trade owning a hotel and was horrified at the dirty surroundings. That is why the One Star !!! We wont be back. Very sad the Hotel has dropped its standards. One of the dirtiest hotels I have ever seen. Don't stay there if you don't have to. Brighton beach is a great place.

Bartender was rude, especially the one with short hair like a boy!

I have not eaten here yet but Ap asking me to review before ordering. Very strange, don’t want to give bad review but I haven’t even been able to order on their QR code yet.

The bar staff are extremely helpful especially Tahlea who always goes above and beyond. She always has a smile on her face and is super friendly. Thanks Tahlea!

I love the Espy hotel for its great service excellent location and good food. Rochelle makes a great cup of coffee and knows just how I like it. Sometimes I will stay for a short getaway and although the accommodation is a little out dated I have always found the rooms to be very clean and the linen fresh and beds very comfortable. The lovely Julia who works on the accommodation has informed me that the rooms are getting an upgrade which is something to look forward to. Overall I would and have done recommend this hotel to my friends and family. Looking forward to my next stay.

My stress relief/relax place looking at the sea I appreciate the new seating as I can usually find a table with a sea view while I do my admin jobs of emails etc; sun on cooler days is more tricky but the friendly staff make the experience pleasant I am a coffee fuss pot and they have been very tolerant of my special request. Long term Aisha and Shelly are great frothers as well as Jess and Courtney and Jade. I love Ben and the manager Matt

Had a few drinks here at the hotel as I was passing through. I had to come on here and say what lovely bar service I had from Lucas. Very fast efficient and kept us entertained as he served, really happy with my customer service, i will definitely be coming back!

I booked the Esplanade Hotel for a charity breakfast for 47 ladies. Julia organised the menus and seating, she could not have been more helpful. Today we all met there for breakfast and the quality of the food and service was outstanding. Jess looked after us brilliantly with a happy smile and willingness to accomodate all our needs. Service from Lilli, Ayesha, Owen and Jade was exemplary. A great crew of young competent hospitality workers. We will be back. You are all a credit to the Espy.

We stayed here as we couldn't find affordable accommodation close to family during high season. It's 2 star accommodation for a reason. Everything is grubby and there were dust strings hanging off our fan, paint was peeling off the ceiling. On the plus side the Bathroom was clean enough and linen and towels were clean. Bed wasn't bad.
