Great food Great service Great experience Will come back again

Fantastic evening pub meal. Was there for some trivia, which was a breath of fresh air. Great place. I'll be back when I'm next in the area.

Celebrated my niece’s birthday at the Findon (Rat and Parrot) yesterday. It was busy when we arrived but the male staff member was most obliging. We didn’t like the table we had been allocated as it was by the door. He happily showed us to a different table. He offered to take care of the birthday cake I was carrying and made me a coffee - just the way I like it. We ordered lunch and were concerned that it might take a long time because there were a couple of very large tables of people. I was most particular about my order and the young woman who served me was very helpful. We were surprised to be served relatively quickly and the food was delicious. My niece was impressed by the roast pumpkin and quinoa salad and the salmon which I asked to be served only with the steamed green vegetables and no mashed potato or hollandaise sauce was cooked to perfection. When it came to coffee and birthday cake, my niece is most particular about The way she likes her coffee. The staff member who made it came over to check that my niece was happy. I have to say that when my niece said we were having lunch at the Findon, I was surprised. We hadn’t been there for a very long time And I wasn’t sure that it was the best venue for her to choose. How wrong was I? I honestly can’t fault the staff. It was the best service I’ve received in ages and although it was noisy, there were lots of people there, the food was delicious and good value for money. I would definitely recommend the Findon!

Had a lovely birthday lunch here today, everybody was very happy with their food and the service was great. Will definitely be going back again soon.

Meeting interstate friends who were staying at West Beach CP. Also needed a indoor playground (34° day) for 2 kids under 5. Findon Hotel worked perfectly. Food was great and good size and reasonable price. Their 'Kids eat free on Thurs' deal meant we had money to buy an extra drink each. Also, lots of room mean the adults could talk and catch up.

Just paid $30 chicken party came out 5 seconds later after paying sent it back came back in 3 minutes max still cold that much salt on chips impossible to eat can't believe how thay can do this and the staff the most Ryde I have ever encountered what a joke

Great location - 15 min drive into the City. Great service - Thanks Rhys and team. Beds were on the softer side but overall a great budget friendly options for those looking to travel to the City from Findon

Amazing

Driving past while giving my son a driving lesson, we popped in for lunch. Enjoyed an amazing chicken snitzel special of the day. Holy moley! Food was amazing and huge served complimented by the tasty chips! This chef knows his business! How on earth have I not eaten here before! Will definitely be back! Icing on the cake, the staff are as wonderful as their food! Service and genuine lovely people! Highly recommended!

First time ever going to The Findon for dinner and the meals were amazing. The customer service was also excellent. Will be definitely back again.

Great place for food and night life

Meal was pretty average. But had to put up with the most badly behaved children and parents that need a lesson on being good parents. I don't go out to have kids running around my table knocking into me. Put me right off wouldn't go back again

Only went for meals. Really nice atmosphere and outdoor dining area. Service was friendly.

Took over an hour to receive our food, staff seem uninterested. overall disappointing, will not be returning

Cold beer

Had dinner here. The ribs were tender but very salty so didn't really enjoy them. The plate was covered in wedges and coleslaw. A very average meal. The place needs a complete refresh! Won't be returning.

Clean, comfortable and great value for money. Friendly and helpful staff, meals weren’t too bad either!

Nothing short of fantastic! From the lovely lady that served me at reception, to the young gentleman behind the bar that gave us a plate of pizza after midnight. Security was super polite. 10/10 would stay again.

Got roast of the day was meant to be turkey but apparently that changed,instead got what they called roast lamb,it was actually lamb chops,rewarmed and very greasy.On my way out noticed other people eating roast turkey,will not be returning will find another hotel to take my daughter for lunch

We had lunch at the Rat and Parrot we ordered the Guinness Pie and Lambs Fry it was absolutely delicious. Friendly staff. Great English Pub with beautiful decor. Definitely recommend them

We came for dinner and open mic night on a Tuesday night. The bar guy was so great!!! The food was absolutely amazing!!! The guy running the open mic night was so welcoming to all the patrons!!! We will definitely be coming back!! Such a warm atmosphere!! If I could Give 10 stars, I would!!!!

Best service I’ve ever received ! Went for lunch and a couple of beers in the rat and parrot. Cass was amazing ! Very polite excellent service by her ! Best service I have ever received by anyone. Would definitely come back especially with cass as the bar staff ! Polite very respectful will have a little chat she’s awesome ! Amazing food also today

Went to watch the band tonight ended up leaving due to Naomi the (bar staff) being very rude while serving me. Rolling her eyes when I was ordering and just very rude !

Really happy for you guys to stop doing roasts of the day. Not so long ago the roast was cut at least twice as thick. This plate is empty and bare bones.. The lamb was thin, over cooked, fatty and reheated.. Why am I paying an extra 3$ in my roast so it can be donated away and you guys get the recognition? Just make my roast 22$ if this is your offering .

Good place for a beer and punt

Meals are below average. Waited for a long time before meal was served. No dressing on the salad and the chips were crucified. Wouldn’t recommend

I have no idea how the barman has a job in hospitality, an eastern brown is friendlier pub has good beer and is like an old English bar unfortunately spoilt by the miserable old barman.

Service is sadly lacking. Waiting for 40 minutes and still no food!

My husband and I ordered two meals after 45 minutes we received them mine was chicken not beef I complained was offered replacement had already waited so long they did refund husband said his lamb shank was the worst he had ever had. Will never return.

Such a good experience

The children snitzels was over cooked had to ask for a new one. The second one was still just ok. Ceaser salad came out with tuff bacon and forgot the crotons. Roast was ok. Will definitely will not be returning.

Had lunch here today with a friend. Cassie our waitress was lovely. Answered any questions we had and made us feel welcome. The meal was also nice. Will be back.

Went there for mother's day lunch. Hotel meal menu as like many. Menu on the day nothing amazing, but the food served was nice. Gaming room pleasant. Not a player myself.

When I saw lamb roast I changed from my normal snitzel parmy as I love lamb if it's on the menu what a mistake that was. The lamb what their was of it was full of fat which even when the lady picked up my plate said oh there was a lot of fat. After I had told her she did offer to get me something else but i just said no thanks.The little piece of carrot even my daughter in law commented it actually looked dehydrated. The few little pieces of potatoes were not crispy but pale and looked like they had been cooked this morning and held heating for lunch. The couple of small pieces of pumpkin was beautiful. Some greenery would have looked nice on the plate. All in all it was the smallest and worst roast I have ever had anywhere. A shame because the atmosphere was lovely but I don't think I'd go back to eat again

Enjoyed my lunchtime meal. Premise was clean, one person serving meals & drinks, so it was a bit slow.

Bands are great but the food is not great. Straight out the freezer in the deep fryer for most stuff. Chefs obviously don't care as it doesn't reflect in their food

Amazing feed, brilliant service

Unfortunately I stayed on a Saturday night when the hotel had a live band until 2 if 3 am. After that there were youngish adults wandering the corridor talking loudly to their friends, so I didn't get much sleep. The bed was very comfortable and very small bathroom was functional with a good shower. I only had dealings with one staff member who was courteous. The kitchen closes at 8pm so having arrived at 7pm dye to Jetstar being late, I missed dinner. There are 24 steps to the rooms abs no lift.

Schnitzel night was good.

Very pleasant room I ordered the grazier pie it was meaty golden and crispy my friend had the Findon salad it looked good she wasn't too sure of the dressing Over all we both liked the venue the service was Very good Yep we would come again 😀

Pretty average place in my opinion. The manager was rude and pushy, I thought the food was pretty bland, the playground was sticky and we found an empty alcoholic lemonade can in the entry of the playground. Luckily we found it before our 1 year old could cut herself on it. They booked us in for an 11:30am table and then didn’t open the restaurant doors until 12, so they made my family of 14 sit crowded around a booth just outside the gaming area while we waited for them to open the doors. Then when my pregnant wife arrived holding our 1 year old in her arms, the manager had the gall to tell her to stand outside because kids aren’t allowed near the gaming area - wilfully ignoring the fact that they were the ones who made us all wait there. The place is poorly managed in my opinion. I would not recommend going here, I feel there’s plenty of better options available.

Had my partners 30th here in both the beer garden and topaz bar. The staff were so accomodating and easy to work with in the lead up to the night, and exceptional service throughout the night!

If I could give it a 0 I would. If you’re looking for a family friendly place to enjoy your meal, don’t bother going here. My almost 2 year old son was happily playing and giggling in his high chair when the woman behind the bar yelled out ‘shhhh can someone shut that child up’ Pretty disgusting thing to say to a little person who is simply being a child, enjoying his meal out as he should be entitled to as we were out celebrating.

Better than it used to be, but still room to improve.
